A 20 minute flight from Big island to Maui has turned into over an hour because we are sitting here waiting for another plane getting freight for the mainland which is blocking our terminal. Why couldn’t we just use another terminal? Why was this communication missed? We would have de-planed faster than it would have taken for them to finish. Been unhappy with southwest this whole trip. I’ll remind my travel agent never to use them again and I’ll stick with Delta. The higher costs are worth avoiding this constant trouble.

Southwest - Hilo airport!!!Ive lived in Hilo for 44 + years and how disappointing for this to occur. Our granddaughter returned home from Honolulu via Southwest!!! Just this BAD experience will make me NOT fly Southwest! Our granddaughter was no where to be found!!! I went to the SW ticket counter and the agents have me wait while they check in passengers!!!!! Im inquiring about a 6 year old flying with her 12 year old brother!!!! And they tell me to wait?! Just this negative experience, will always be the reason why Southwest will not be our choice airlines for interisland travel! And the icing on this cake, the airport police informs us that there is NO 6 year old girl inside being processed?! Talk about clueless, incompetent, and unknowledgeable people directing foot traffic and securing our air travel arrivals interisland!

Everyone talks about Southwest having excellent customer service but THEY DONT IN MAUI! Ive never experienced anything like it. The woman at the gate repetedely lied, telling us to look online. We did but she didnt care and charged us for random things. Then she refused to let us speak to a supervisor. She was rude the entire time and completely ruined our morning.
