I recently had an issue where a power supply cable caused me to lose 2 hard drives, one of which had over 10 years of photos and projects on it. TRUE LIFE SAVERS!! Carole and her team were able to recover more than 10 years of photos I thought were lost. Carole was so accommodating and willing to open early or stay late so we could get there. She communicated what was happening throughout the entire process and called to make sure it was okay to go above the originally quoted price. I had 4 tb external hard drive fail with all of my pictures for the last 7 years with no backup (I know, thats my own fault!). After taking it to a local and getting a reference to an extremely expensive company out of state, I found ECO Data Recovery through Google. Carole called me and talked me through the process, and the price was reasonable, as were their policies. My particular drive was very damaged, and it took a while, but after many emails back and forth (all of which they dealt with my anxiety and concern extremely professionally), they were able to recover a very large amount of the data! Im obviously happy that the recovery was successful, but I am giving 5 stars because of how well they handled the communication part of it. LOST EVERYTHING! PAID ALMOST $600DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL DENY ALL!READ ALL THE COMMENTS!I brought a hard-drive to them to recover thousands of photos. They had it for months. When I received recovered data there was not one item that was mine. In fact, I had other peoples info including a local law firms recorded depositions. When I brought it back, they had it again for months and lost my original drive. They denied everything and would not refund the money. BEWARE, they have multiple businesses under different names. Very shady and THIEFS. They prey on the customer at their most vulnerable time when losing very personal information.

I am highly disappointed. I called several times to see where the progress is at and I have been ignored multiple times. I have asked for my hard drive back and my refund and still, no honest feedback about having anything returned back to me. I have extremely important files that they do not take seriously. So at this point this company has stolen my money and my hard drive. It’s very frustrating to trust a company like this. Please, just look for another company other than Eco Data Recovery. Very professional and customer-oriented service. They worked with me on giving me a very reasonable price on an old hard drive recovery. The service included copying all data to a new, free drive and at the time of my purchase they were running an offer which included free return shipping. I was unable to open very few of the files (probably under 5%), but otherwise very good results.

Excellent. ECO was recommended to me and based on my excellent experience, Ive recommend ECO to others who were in turn pleased with their service. ECO recovered about 90% of a failed hard drive (100% of the important files) whereas in-house recovery methods were not successful. Lesson learned, verify your backups. Just because the auto backup is scheduled to run doesnt mean it was successful. ECO recovered essential research data.

Ripped us off by charging 700+ dollars to recover a fully functional hard drive (maybe a 2 minute transfer job) when it wasnt even a hard drive fault. Turned out it was the motherboard that had failed and had nothing even to do with the HDD.The technicians mother that checked our computer in was rude overall and we picked it up we got the explanation that usually they cut the local guys a break for such simple jobs, except i guess, obviously not in this case. Safe to say we wont be using this service again any time soon.

They were able to retrieve most of my data from a badly damaged drive. The staff was friendly and professional, and the price was reasonable. Would most definitely recommend them!

They are upbeat and happy trying to get your business, then somber and short once they have your drive. They were not able to get data off a drive that I know was recoverable. Now I am afraid they damaged the platters during their process. You get what you pay for is the lesson here. Spend the big money if you really need your data recovered.

It seems like there are A LOT of negative reviews here and Im sad to say I have a similar story as well.Over the phone there was an extremely confident women salesperson who said it wont be a problem to recover all my data based on my case and incident.They received my hard drive on a Friday afternoon (with a credit card payment to diagnose and recover the drive). By Tuesday I had already received the drive back (they shipped it on Monday), with a simple note staying Data overwritten, hard drive irrecoverable.Will NOT use again or recommend to anyone reading this.

I am an attorney and had an absolute loss of all data on my computer (laptop) which was supposed to be backed up on a cloud. It was not. Years of work product seemed to be lost. Thank goodness I came across ECO Data Recovery. They quickly were able to recieve the hard drive, assess it and recover all the data and files. BE WARNED - Absolutely horrible. Sent in 2TB drive that had 750GB of data. I had used Runtime software and was able to recover everything off the drive but in an inefficient manner and so I chose to send it in to the professionals. This drive was filed with nothing but artwork, photos, documents, contracts, and video. It contained almost every photo of my daughter who was born after my last backup (my mistake in not backing up more often). Needless to say the data is precious and valuable.After their workup, they informed me that only 71GB was available for recovery. I told them there was much more than that and they came back with a new total of 258GB and stated the rest was lost to damage caused by the heads and my continued attempts to recover it using the software recovery.I received the drive and data back and was devastated by the massive gaps in data missing that had not been recovered. At that point I plugged it back into my external enclosure and was going to try to recover a little more using the Runtime software when I realized I could access some of it just using Windows Explorer! These files were uncorrupted, easily accessible, and not recovered using Eco Data Recovery.Knowing there was physical damage, I didnt want to continue with software recovery but sent it at another company that was able to recover 747GBRepeated attempts to get a refund from Eco Data Recovery have been met with unsatisfactory results. The guarantee on their website appears useless. They said they did the job I authorized, but it was only after the misrepresentations of the company that 258GB was the only recoverable data - FALSE as the other company (Drive Savers) recovered up almost 3X the data.They have a great price, but now have just over $3000 invested in recovering my data, I had thought that if they couldnt do the job I would be able to get a refund and use the money for someone who could, but as I said, the guarantee didnt hold up when put to the test.

I cant rave enough about the beyond execellent customer service and turnaround time from ECO Data Recovery. They met and exceeded expectation at every turn. I do photography as a side job (including weddings) and placed all of my photos on an external harddrive and within 2 weeks, the drive crashed to mechanical failures after shooting a wedding. Throughout the holiday season I tried asking Best Buy/Geek Squad to assist me with the recovery. I will NEVER contact them again after using ECO. Geek Squad took 3 weeks to even tell me that they looked at my drive just to say it would cost me $1,500 to open it in a clean room to determine the problem and even then they could not guarantee repair (all they determined was that it was a mechanical failure- duh! I knew this already). If I approved of this, it would then take up to ANOTHER 8 weeks to do a repair. Keep in mind, I had to chase GS the entire time. I was nothing but a number to them and I was never allowed to speak to my technician. ECO was amazing! They answered all of my fathers and my questions in reasonable time with FANTASTIC prices!!!! They treated me with respect as a small business and I felt like they knew me as a person and the stress I was under to retrive my materials for clients. Within several days, they e-mailed me a list of all recoverable files. I paid them that Friday, and by Monday I received a new hard drive ready to go! Donna, and my technician John were wonderful! John even sent me a few sample files before I received my hard drive, just so I could share with my clients so they would be happy that everything had gotten fixed! Im so gracious for their services and efforts. Pray you never are in this situation, but if you are, definately call them!
