Had a 12 month lease here and had a horrible experience. Many issues were not resolved and were even forgotten. (Sink problems, painting needing done, etc) Parking is terrible and you will have to walk from the new building to get to your building if you work at night. What is the point in the parking stickers if they aren’t even being enforced. Called to complain as I am a college girl and am not comfortable walking through an apartment complex alone at night, and was told that they can’t help and that I can just walk through lighted areas. They said if I wanted to help write people’s license plates down who didn’t have parking stickers I could. I’m sorry, I didn’t know I had to do a job while living here? There was no sympathy. For $800/month you’d think you would get great service, but it’s the exact opposite. Started getting bugs in the apartment (my roommates and I are all extremely clean and have never had a bug problem before) and we found out the people above and below us got roaches and had to move out. Then their apartments were bombed and all the bugs came to us. We tried to take care of it but nothing worked. Moved out right when the lease was up and even deep cleaned, still got charged for an extermination fee when we didn’t even have bugs until the last month of the lease. They used every bit of that $150 security deposit as well. If you’re looking for a nice place to stay, this is not it.
My husband and I have lived here for twelve years. We love living here. Susie Ervin and her staff do a great job in making this a good place to live. If you need their help they make sure we get what we need done. In our opinion this is a five star apartment complex.
Great place to live! Management is super friendly and great at communication, you can barely hear your neighbors, if at all, and the place is really nice, clean, and well kept! 😄
I really enjoy this area. Still fairly new in town, so its nice being close to everything but far enough away. Only a few things I enjoy and dislike:DislikeParking - Parking is really limited after 9 pm.Bathroom Toilet - Not sure if its just because I live on the first floor, but Im having to call maintenance at least once every other month.Likes :The Pool - never too busyThe complex employee - Very nice people working in the office, they seem to be able to help out whatever problem the does come up.The landscape is well taken care of, its nice not seeing trash everywhere.Overall I have enjoyed my experience and would high recommend this place.
I’ve lived here for 3 years and have little to no complaints. Maintenance is on site and will respond to any issues almost immediately. The dishwasher in my unit broke and they fixed it completely by replacing it next day. The grounds are kept up well, and someone comes to shovel snow from sidewalks and parking lots in the winter. The complex is located in a quiet secluded place and never seems to be too noisy. I’ve seen all ages of folks living here. I feel safe living here, they do annual sprinkler inspections and change the air filters often. The units are nice, allow pets, and the patio and amenities are a plus
My wife and I love Terrace Green Apartments. The staff is friendly and personable, we have plenty of room for us to take our dogs on walks, and the complex is well managed. Management handles issues quickly and makes sure the tenant is satisfied within the complex’s control. Wouldn’t live anywhere else in Joplin as the complex is quiet, outside of town but close to Rangeline, and taken care of.
This apartment is built terribly and has awful management. It would take forever to get a maintenance request through. Also be careful walking around at night the people living below you will hear that and call a noise complaint because the walls and floors are paper thin. Finally, if you want a warm shower make sure to not take any shower longer than 10 minutes because the water heater runs out very fast.
Very nice place to live. Great location, country living with all the amenities. Terracegreen Apartments is the best in Joplin!
My husband and I have been living here for about a year and a half and absolutely love it. Staff is very friendly, prompt to fix any issues we have, and all of the amenities are great.
Parking lots are always packed. Front desk are no help and have horrible attitudes when it comes to helping their “guests”. Didn’t get notified when my packages arrived. Staff is real petty about complaints and slow to solve issues regarding the apartment.
I stayed here last year for a 6 month lease while I lived in Joplin for work. Ended up terminating my stay early after 3 months. I travel to a new state every year and this was by far the worst appartment I have ever been at. Id give it 0 stars if it were possible. For starters management is horrble, the woman is never helpful and was flat out rude. The walls are paper thin so if you need to get a good night sleep good luck, you can hear the neighbors through the walls even if theyre just talking. The AC unit broke 3 times and we went several days without AC in the middle of summer. The toilet broke once and it took management a week to get a plumber out to fix it. If your looking for a appartment in Joplin look anywhere else.
Honestly, if I could give this place 0 stars I would. Lived in this dump all summer, landlord didn’t care about fixing anything when we called. There were always fights out in the Parking lot. Honestly I got lice from this place.
We moved in 2/2020 application process was easy and communication was good. After moving in there was some issues with the apartment that needed addressed and it took almost 1 month before the maintenance guy showed up. The walls and ceilings are super thin, all you can hear is the neighbors above and below you constantly. Overall the complex is quiet and safe on the outside. Stayed 3 months till our house sold in Illinois and we was able to buy a new place.
The management here is quick to call you out on petty things yet slow to react to issues you have. They treat you like youre beneath them.
Not very welcoming, even for returning guests. horrible service
Would never in a million years return here. Do yourself a favor and just stay far away
I just recently moved out after living there for 4 years through undergrad. I must say, I enjoyed being close to the school and everything in town but the management could use some, or a lot of, work. The head manager, Kerri, seems to only like a handful of people and is sweet until you move in, then she could care less about the residents. She is never in the office and fails to return phone calls and emails. This past year has been the worst of the 4. The property has gone down hill -trash everywhere, broken down cars in the parking lots, people getting arrested fairly often, and with management only on the property a few hours a day, people get away with just about anything. I didnt feel safe living there alone anymore so I chose to move somewhere nicer in town. I am thankful to have moved but was SHOCKED when I got a notice of move out charges... (The $300 deposit is a scam, as mine was not applied to any of my charges when I moved out.) Keep in mind, it is totally illegal to charge a $300 DEPOSIT then keep $150 as an admin fee... All $300 should be returned if the apartment is in good condition at move-out!Save yourself some time and energy and rent from another complex in town!
Love it here! My roommates and I have had a great experience and always get good service! We go to MSSU and it’s nice to be so close to the school!
I have lived here for over 5 years and had nothing but the best experience! Always there to answer a call and always made sure that we were well taken care of. This place will always hold a special place in my heart!
Pam and Kerri were so nice to us from the second that we walked in the door a month ago. There were a few small issues in the Apartment on the day that we moved in, but I am highly impressed at the speed in which Nick Gallimore, the Super Awesome Maintenance Gentleman showed up and took care of everything!! He went above and beyond the call of duty, even after business hours!! We have been in Joplin exactly one week and we could not be happier in our new home!! Terrace Green has a great staff that will definitely make sure you are taken care of in the best way!!
I currently live in these apartments and it has been a great experience. The management team is super friendly and accommodating. I have not run into any problems while living here and I definitely recommend these apartments.
This place is better than I ever imagined. The management is extremely professional and polite. The apartments are very nice and well kept up. I’m excited to be apart of the Terrace Green fam and would highly recommend to anyone looking for an apartment.
I dont understand these negative reviews. I have lived here for three years and I have never had a single problem with the management or service. I do have pets, one cat and a dog, but I have never had an issue with them. I have found that the manager and other staff are very friendly and offer as much help and service as they can provide. I would highly recommend renting from Terrrace Green Apartments.
Lived here for over a year now. They are very clean and nice. People are friendly and helpful. I go to MSSU and its super nice to be this close to school. Perfect location and the price is excellent for all that is included compared to other places.
Simply the best apartment complex Ive ever lived in & would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to live in the Joplin area. Great management team keeps the complex safe & very clean.
I would give it less than one star if I could. Lived in these apartments for a year and they had cockroaches and ants. The walls are so paper thin you can hear people above and below you. Leasing office will charge you $50 for power-washing fees without any warning or a chance to clean up yourself. Overall not a nice to place to live.
If I could give 1 Star would! It was okay when we first moved in, but we quickly ran into problems with bugs. Upon calling the leasing office several times about the issue (because management never answers the phone or returns calls) we were told that we must have brought them in because there was no bugs before. Our apartment was always very clean so I know there was no way we could have brought in ants, roaches, and even spiders. Because we were blamed for bringing them in, we were then told they would not do extinction, that we had to pay for it out of pocket. After that we ran into several other problems with our front door not locking. Being that 3 girls lived in that unit, that was a huge problem. It was like pulling teeth to get the maintenance man over to even just look at it. And after him coming over 3 times, it still was never fixedWhen it came time for us to move out, we were given a 2 page “cleaning” list. Which included a very very deep clean, although $150 of our $300 deposit was being kept by management. We told them to keep the other $150 and use it for a cleaning fee because we could not get out of that place fast enough. Even after that, the manager emailed my roommates and I saying we still owed a $60 fee!!!! Upon calling 3 times, the manager was finally reached in the 3rd time, and we were told that she was too busy with more important things to pull our file and further explain why we still have a charge.I BEG anyone to never live in this complex!!
We moved into terrace green apartments last Nov and rented for a year, altho we were sad to move we really did love it there .We rented a spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath its centrally located to shops and the mall and the college. The complex grounds are very clean and well taken care of its a pet friendly complex. The management (Keri) is very nice and shes up-to date in emailing u when having to enter in to apt for filter changes or if they are doing anything else that pertains to the complex Maintenance is quick to fix anything sometimes same day if its an easy fix.If ur looking for a reasonably priced nice complex look into terrace green apartments.
I was looking at getting an apartment here but the manager is very rude and unprofessional. They are very nice looking apartments but because if her I will be going else where. I was scrolling through all the reviews when I noticed all the Negative reviews on management and thought maybe its nothing well i should have listened to them. Couldnt imagine how she handles things if you have a problem there.
When first looking for apartments we thought Terrace Green was going to be the perfect place for us because it was right by MSSU. As we began living there we thought it was kinda strange that there was hardly ever any parking and so we had to park on the curbs. Next thing we know they painted the curbs red as fire lane (which is somewhat understandable) but then proceeded to tell us we had to park In the gravel lot at the front of the complexes and walk to the VERY back building. Some nights I would get off work at 12/1 in the morning and have hundreds of dollars on me from working at a restaurant. We had issues with bugs, neighbors being extremely loud, was told we had a pet friendly building but when I had my mom’s dog stay for a day we had a notice on the door that if we didn’t remove it we would be evicted and once we confronted our lessor she referred to herself as “Our Manager” (no because I don’t work for you Kerry) and she proceeded to tell us that Bethany knows better and pretty much wouldn’t tell us that. I’ve recently moved and I live in such a nicer building that is WAY cheaper and bigger. There is also a review on here from a previous worker of Kerry’s named Bethany and she told me when I was applying to live here that she couldn’t afford these complexes so disregard her review. Place is trash. Kerry is trash. Don’t bring your friends to the pool they will kick you out. Mayberry complexes/duplexes are the place to look. OH! And when the police drive through the complex they run your tags they aren’t just looking to see if anyone is parked in handicap. This place shouldn’t even be abled to be reviewed. It should be shut down or considered a “low income” facility.
The apartment was clean and well kept and the management was awesome, Mrs. Pam was very helpful and was able to answer any and all questions that she was asked, overall the complex is awesome and I enjoy living here very much!
I lived in these apartments all though college at MSSU, I do not recommend living here. They are way overpriced for what you get and the head manager is very unpleasant to work with. My ice maker was never fixed during my time here and then I got charged for it being broken when I moved out (one of many things). The manager is very rude, is never in the office and never returns phone calls. There are many other options in Joplin that would be better than here. Terrace Green is going downhill fast! Save yourself some time and sanity and live someplace where people actually care about you!
Me and my wife have lived here for over a year now and we are getting very fed up with things. Our closet door has never shut right even though i put in a work order for it when we moves in. Our neighbors are a bunch of inconsiderate punk kids that are always making a ton of noise or leaving their trash out in the breeze ways. Parking here is an utter night mare with people contantly parking illegally. We have been waiting on a new ice maker for over a year now too. For the money this sure as hell was not worth it because im tired of coming home and having to park 3 buildings away and everyone one else has no problems parking where its clearly not legal to do so. Go some where else these people just packem in like sardeens.
I very much enjoyed this apartment complex. I think the management is right on.
My daughter stayed here for her sophomore year at MSSU. The facilities themselves are OK however the management staff is lacking and very unprofessional. Many times during their office hours there was nobody to be found and this was not just once in a while but pretty much all the time. Their fees are a scam as well. You have to pay them a fee to do a background check and then if you qualify they require a $300 deposit. Not sure why they call it a deposit considering I found out they automatically keep $150 as an administrative fee. A deposit is something that if you meet certain requirements you have it returned. We were told, as is the norm at most places, that if the apartment was left clean we would receive the other half of our deposit back, $150. On check out day two individuals did a walk -thru and in fact one of them commented and I quote Ive never seen an apartment left this clean. So all is well and we part ways right? Wrong. . Six weeks later we get a refund check for our deposit in the amount of only $10. Part of their explanation is there was a $120 cleaning fee. These people are scam artist and they have developed a way to take your money with no plan on every returning any of it and make it look totally legit. If at all possible I would avoid this place. As I mentioned the facilities are OK but the people are as shady as the day is long. If you like dealing with honest people this isnt the place.
Havent had any issues whatsoever, been here over a year. Enjoying my stay.
The management is absolutely terrible. I wouldnt recommend these apartments to anyone. The property manager is very unprofessional, very unhelpful, and just plain rude. I cant imagine speaking to my clients the way she does. If you have animals, think twice before you rent here. She recently demanded that a pet be removed from the apartment (based on a complaint from an unreliable source), but would not allow the owner to break the lease, nor would she hear both sides of the story. Problems between neighbors happen, but should be taken care of and resolved in a professional way. This was not the case. Just save yourself some trouble and dont rent here.
We lived here for a year. For the first few months we were alright, but then roaches started showing up. Of course we reported this to management, but since we moved into a roach free apartment, they informed us that we must have brought the roaches in our place and were promptly told to take care of the issue ourselves. We bought numerous traps, poisons, and even hired an exterminator (since theirs doesnt spray for roaches according to the property manager), but nothing could have prepared us for the onslaught of the armies of roaches invading our home. Despite the traps, poisons, and hiring an exterminator, and piles of dead roaches, the darned things kept showing up by the dozens. After speaking to past residents whod said they too saw roaches, and the fact that all apartments within the same building are interconnected (also weve never had, nor do we have roaches in our current home) maybe the roaches came from another apartment within our same building, but from another apartment? I hope they current residents there are being better cared for than we were because management is now more than aware that there is a roach infestation there.
If I could give these apartments a negative star I would in a heartbeat! I had an encounter with the maintenance man where he cursed at me when I was walking my dog and when I brought it to management she brushed it under the rug and made it seem like I was lying about the entire situation. I asked to file a complaint and there was nothing done about the situation and when asked about the corporate office she denied me that information claiming she was the highest I could go. Management is the biggest issue with Terrace green! I’ve lived here for 2 years while going to MSSU and there have been multiple occasions where I’ve called about problems with my apartment and they have never been fixed. Keep in mind the maintenance man lives right next door! Overall the complex is in a good location however the walls are paper thin and things break or stop working quickly and may not be replaced. There are also insect problems within the complex with both roaches and ants.
Extremely unprofessional management. I would never handle a business the way she does, have had issues sine the day we moved in. Everything goes unresolved and if you have a pet, think twice. I would suggest the French Gables, The Plaza, Tangle Wood and Village at Wingfield before I suggest even considering renting here.
Lousy called 2 days ago t schedule a appointment no ne even had the decency to call back went by today ign said out to lunch be back at 1:15 no one showd up left at 2:00pm try to call again eft message once again not even nough common decency t return my call. if this is how they conduct business tey will not be getting any of mine maybe i can almost agree with the first review,i mean really wat kind of people in business act like that very unprofessional no excusefor that behavior
Too many college kids.
