No problems with the technician, who was competent and pleasant. Also, our problem is with the Sears Home Services company, NOT the local office. However, the needed part (a fan) was backordered, and they kept stringing us along for SIX MONTHS. After 4 months, they were calling us to close the ticket. They asked if we could get the part elsewhere (it was a Kenmore and only available through Sears). The fridge sprung a leak and so we had no choice but to replace it. We called multiple times to cancel the service and the part order, but after this, they still sent us the part and charged us. They accepted a return, but then are trying to charge us $121 for the service appointment that we cancelled. 0/10 do NOT recommend. Also, dont buy appliances for which the only repair parts come from China through Sears.
Sears went out of business at our mall... I dont even know why I got this review...
The repairman was fine. It cost $99 for him to come out and diagnose it. I already diagnosed it and told him what it was. He agreed. Then he worked for 15 minutes and charged $140 for labor!!! He probably got $15. The part was $30. So for a $30 easy fix, it cost us $270! Totally a ripoff and we will not be calling you again for repairs. (I should get the $50 for diagnosing it myself!)
The service person was courteous and professional however, his diagnosis was incorrect. All my washing machine needed was a $3 part and he tried to tell me I needed $507.00 worth of work done. I believe Sears is more interested in selling their warranty to get a year long commitment of $50 a month than they are in trying to fix what you actually called them out for. Its really no surprise they are closing locations all over the country. How very sad. They had the entire nation shopping there at one point and it looks like the end could be on the horizon.
The two men that came out were very knowledgeable and very pleasant. The Service Manager in Springfield was very easy to work with. The salesman and his supervisor at Sears were the same. Thanks to the non English speaking idiots at the 800 number it took three weeks before my repair parts came. Good thing they are shutting Sears down. I’m 70 and have bought appliances there for years. Never again.
My experience was LOUSY! My dishwasher still does not work. It was a year old on 12/24/19 and it has broken THREE times. I purchased a service plan but it has not done any good because they cant seem to fix the thing. I would give you ZERO stars, Sears, but it wont let me post this unless I click on one. But you deserve zero . . . big fat ZERO!
Repair lastest only one week. Treadmill no longer working, same issue. I attempted to discuss the issue through Chat for Sears Home Services but that was not at all helpful. Wanted me to pay for a membership in Just Answer and never helped me with the warranty question.
We have such a wonderful repairman. He is concerned, efficient, and friendly. He came out twice. Once to diagnose theproblem with our fridge and the next timeto put the parts in. Was so happy he came thesecond time, as he was done putting the ice makerand filter in, in just a few min. We love the fact itcovers labor and parts, saves us a lot, plus we getthe filters now automatically sent from Sears.
Very pleased with the gentleman who came om behalf of Sears. Quickly identified the problem and fixed it. Except for one instance have we always been very satisfied with Sears repair. In that one instance I was without a riding lawnmower and Sears actually paid to have someone mow my lawn and then rectified the situation. Good job Sears
The repairman did a really good job and was friendly and super knowledgeable. Im annoyed w/ the fact that it took 8 days for Sears to send someone out to us. We didnt have a fridge for 10 days and then we ended up ha sing to replace it anyway. Would have been nice to have someone come out and look at it within 3 days so we could have had an answer quickly.
The service repairman was very good, but after his first visit he went on a 2 weeks vacation. When the parts came 2 days later I called the service center and they didnt send someone else to fix the refrigerator. So we went 2 weeks without a refrigerator. When he got back from vacation it took him about 30 minutes to repair.
Professional as always with quick repairs! I can’t tell you how glad I am that I purchased the extended warranty with my washer. I love this washer, but it has had a problem lately with the agitator. Thanks to the warranty I have had no issues when it has had a few problems with getting it quickly repaired. I told my husband that even with the problems I still love this washer thanks to the repair service! Thank you Sears Repair!
Once the service personnel arrive the service is terrific, the repair people that have been to my house were efficient and courteous. The process of scheduling and confirming the arrival of parts is not satisfactory and is VERY frustrating.I continue to be intensely displeased with the process of getting satisfaction with an appliance repair. I have been told different things every time I call and the service personnel dont seem to be on the same page as the service center. I would not be able to recommend this appliance or service to anyone.
A 5 for our service man, a 1 for Sears. It takes so long to get an appointment. When your food is constantly spoiling and the $3,000+ refrigerator sounds like it will explode, 3 weeks is too long. And we bought the extended warranty! Paying for that means we essentially paid almost double for a very nice refrigerator that didnt work. This is our second refrigerator from Sears with extended warranty that hasnt worked, two different brands even.
Always great service. Sometimes it takes a little longer to get an appointment, but thats probably because theyre in such high demand. I wont ever call anyone else again!
Since I put my cell number in to be contacted, I expected a call or at least a text. I got an email but it would never load. If I am busy at work, an email just does not work! I did appreciate the fact that the repair man was there first thing in the morning. Thank you Jimmy!
Well done. They came out and took a look a the LT2500. They ordered the parts that were required to fix the problem and told me someone would return to install them when the parts showed up. Ten days later my mower was working again. This is the fourth (maybe fifth) time Ive called for assistance. Each time the repair people have quickly diagnosed the problem and either fixed it on the spot or ordered the parts and returned to install them.
Would have rated you higher but for the matter of price. The cost of your parts was rather high. Overall, the man that serviced our dryer was first rate. He completed the repair in a timely manner & was very pleasant.
Excellent customer service surpassing expectations!
Buying was easy but the product had issues from day one. The local store refused to assist me and kept referring to the 1800 number for 6 months trying to get the product repaired. After 6 months of countless hours in the phone the local store did step in and help but it ridiculous that any store would not assist it customers till the customer is so mad he cant see straight and drags the faulty unit to the store to prove its the companys responsibility to honor the warrenty they sold.
Long story short make sure you request a master repair person. It will save you a lot of suffering and lost wages. Im still curious as to why I had to call a call center in god knows where to get a local repair person.Update: the master repair person came out (third trip) and found that it was an error in installation. The hose had been connected too deep in the reservoir. Problem solved, but he said he should have probably charged me for the trip, even though I had to wait all day for 3 days for 3 separate repair persons, and the washer was installed by Sears.
Problem with Dishwasher door -- would not close completely. Called Sears -- first apt available was 8 days away. Advised $89 service call, and had to be available all day from 8AM to 5pm. When day arrived, received all @ 1:30PM advising service man was on his way. Service man had trouble figuring out problem -- so I helped and showed him that door had jumped from one setting to another. He replaced door onto proper setting and all was OK Service appt. too 20 mins, and I was advised I owed $s196. Seems in ADDITION to the service call, i was ALSO CHARGED $107 FLAT RATE (per their manual) for door repair. NO PARTS WERE NEEDED -- JUST AN ADJUSTMENT! I was not happy and still not happy. We have 100% Kenmore appliances in our home and I have continued this practice since first married in 1966! But will never call Sears again for service. Other local concerns can service me quicker and for less money. AND -- their service calls include 30 minutes labor. I feel like I was ripped off. Regardless, the adjustment was successful and dishwasher works fine.
After 5 weeks of guessing about my 2 year old Samsung front load washer and spending a lot of money trying to fix it, the tech said it could not be fixed, and left without explaining how to get our money back. Now I have to start all over with another shop with a Samsung trained tech. Hope this works better. I wish I could give less than 1 star.
He was very professional!!! Went right to work and fixed the problem in no time!!!!
All the technicians were very nice. However, I have had three service visits and my Washer is still not fixed.
The tech was very professional and hard working. The price of the repair would have been out of reach without the purchase of the extended warranty. It would have cost over $500 to repair my 2 month old washer that only cost a little over $400. Really. Trying to speak to someone at Sears about this over the phone was impossible.
Friendly, knowledgeable tech had the required parts on his truck. Fixed our ice maker, no further issues so we will definitely use him again for any future appliance problem!
Horrible, cant get anyone on the phone that speaks English, this will be the third trip to my house to fix my washing machine. I tried calling in to tell them I was getting a different code on my machine and they would not have a service person call me. When they came they installed the one part ran and empty load and said it was fixed. The first load I ran I got the error code I told them I was getting. Not happy this has been going on now for 3 weeks without a washer.Would not recommend purchasing from Sears.UPDATE now 4 weeks later still havent fixed my machine, they tell me it will be two more weeks before someone will come.I have told them everytime I call that is says it needs the water valve replaced. Each time they have not replaced it.Nor have I seen where they have ordered it as of yet for my next appointment.
Happy with the service tech. Called stating that he would be here at a certain time, answered all of my questions. Professional, Asset to your company !!!.
I was pleased after he got it fixed. Was very disappointed that when I called in four weeks earlier that he didnt have the parts on the first appointment. They always get the parts when I call in and tell them the problem.
Air not working. Waited 6 days( 7-05 to 7-12) in 95 deg temp in the day time and low 70 at night. The tect came turned the air on -works just fine. This was Thur.(7-12) On Sat(7-14)( morning it went off again. (Remember the man said there was nothing wrong.) Called Sears again and they will be out on Wed(7-18). Another 4 days without air in the house. Our 50th Anniversary was on the 13th of July and and we had house guests. This will be a couple of weeks to remember. On top of this, when he comes again will need to order parts-so this will take more time. We have a contract with Sears so can not call a local contractor in to fix. We think it is the compressor but what do we know. NOT HAPPYPat Johnson
Service was professional and quickly taken care of. Sears is the best place to buy home appliances from because of the great protection service agreements.
Good job...well done! We once again have ice! All is working well!
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. This would be the third time they were coming out to repair our fridge. We had no one but them to go to because of our home warranty. They forgot to make notes of what they repaired so they had to come back out to review the freezer issue. My husband took off work and they never came. All day he called and they said he was on his way, on his way, then around 4pm after my husband was home ALL day from work. They said the tech had came and no one was home. The tech never called us to notify us that we werent home. Now we have an appt on 8/11 because thats the earliest they could have someone out to fix their mistake. Im giving 1 star because I have to.
The service person, Richard, was very cordial and completed the matter in a short time and we were satisfied with the results.
The Tech was nice but sure didnt fix the problem... had to make a new appt and have them out again
Advance notice, narrowed time frame, fast and correct repair.
Repairman was on time, courteous, and knowledgeable.he quickly had my icemaker running as normal.
My service was real good I couldnt expected better..
Great service. Only downfall was the time frame....
The repairman was prompt, professional, friendly, and... evidently competent since our dishwasher is working great now!
The repairman did not show up for the first appointment and they made me re-schedule for three weeks later. From beginning to end it took almost two months just to get a door hinge replaced on my washing machine and it cost nearly as much as it would have to buy a new machine.
Techs have always been polite, knowledgeable, and prompt.
Great service tech and experience
I made the appointment a week ahead of time, and they called the day of the appt to tell me they could not make it! They also could not come for another week. My Refrigerator/freezer was not cooling properly. Bad customer service on their part
Ice machine has been out of service for over 5 weeks. The repair man has been here 5 times and it still does not work..very disgusting
Good service and helpful, wish Whirlpool was as helpfull
I bought a refrigerator in 2015 it went completely out within 1 year. It was fixed, 6 months later the ice maker went out. I have had 2 repair men so far and it is still not fixed! I have called numerous time to talk to a supervisor but that has not happened. I am very disapointed and will never buy a major appliance from Sears again.
The repairman was friendly and professional. He repaired our lawn tractor in a short period of time.
Quick to take care of sending a repairman and problem was taken care of that day.
The repairman was professional and I am so glad that my washer is fixed! My dishwasher was also fixed, but it still makes some funny noises when it starts. The service guy did not know what could cause it.
One month to fix my refrigerator - still not fixed! Ordered wrong parts twice, put a new gasket on the door, now door wont close all the way. Three visits so far, another one scheduled. Each visit has a week or more lead-time!
I waited two weeks for the first appointment. Two more weeks for the repair which didnt work. Now Ive got to wait 2.5 weeks for them to come back. Its going on 6 weeks to fix my refrigerator. Please.
Called and was hung up on when they got frustrated with my parts questions.
The washer was supposed to have been fixed but it still didnt work.
Fast, friendly and fixed.
It has not been repaired.
Very pleasant!
Courteous, friendly, professional service
Fair not sure its fixed
Thanks for your service!
