Renting a car for a few days is easy. Rent one for more than a week was much easier than I expected. Car was very economical on gas. Very roomy! Next time I get a car that is not as low to the ground. Being over 6 feet tall I recommend an SUV.
Very Good experience and satisfied with the excellent customer service.Mariam ( I think thats her name) showed very good customer service. I didnt have a long wait to receive the car. I chose to upgrade at the last minute, got what I wanted with no issues. The return was easy.I requested that same vehicle for the following weekend and she stated she will have it, when I returned, the vehicle was there cleaned in the parking lot. In which I was really surprised, for that I will always return to rent from this Hertz.
I was given a vehicle with visible damage on it. Someone it looks like had keyed the hood of the vehicle. The tire had a slow leak in it. Tire place said that the front tires were pretty near bald. Took that car back a day early. They probably re-rented since I brought it back early. I prepaid for the car and was also charged a $200 deposit which was never added back on my credit card. This was the worst experience that Ive ever had renting a vehicle. The lady told me what do I expect because its a used vehicle. This was the Hertz in Joliet. I rented from Hertz a few weeks before this but that was in Downers Grove. To say the least I wont be renting from them again.
Paid weeks ahead for reservation, but after arriving, there were no cars available in the class that I chose. An employee by the name of Shannon offered me a much smaller car instead of a class higher. After turning down the offer, she told me to call around to other Hertz to see if there were cars elsewhere. Very poor customer service!
I was overcharged (and we are not talking about a small amount). I called to ask for a refund, the rep. said he would call back and never did. I ended up going to the location a few days later. I waited for 20 minutes and no one came to help when the guy finally showed up at the front desk, he apologized and when I said why I was there he only wrote the claim number and said he would call back, but did. I had to call every single week and they always gave me the excuse that someone was on vacation. I ended up getting my money back after a month. I got it back only because I was the one that noticed the discrepancy and I insisted for so long. Never again am I renting from this location.
I will never use Hertz again. The customer service was completely worthless. I booked with them and asked to change my reservation or get a voucher to use in the future due to a flight cancellation and they wouldn’t do anything to help. They take your money and won’t do anything to aid you. Such a scam. Never again.
With the horror stories you read about Hertz charging ridiculous amounts of money for people supposedly smoking in their vehicles, I made absolutely sure that the person checking my returned rental did not smell any nicotine/drugs whatsoever. I asked.
I called this location and asked can I get a copy of my receipt, i need the license plate of the rental car so I can pay my toll and the woman working at 1:00pm on 8/13/2021 said no. She said there was no way to look up a past rental.... I asked if I could speak with someone else in her location to which she also replied, no.
Awful awful awful! Went to pick up the rental we needed for the NEXT MORNING and they would not let me use my debit, or my credit card because it doesnt have a chip, would not take my cash. I even asked about having a family member paying for it and they wanted to charge me extra. Unbelievable that the general manager could not do anything to help us out. Do not recommend this place to anyone!!!

Very helpful and friendly service conducted by Matt.We rented a Nissan and wanted to exchange for a bigger vehicle.They didn’t have a bigger one onsite, but helped us find the nearest hertz location and upgrade for a Toyota.This branch is really a rose among the thorns.

Great service. Matt at the counter answered all my questions and was super considerate. He helped me to clear up a problem with my card and got me on my way as quickly as he could. Car was in great shape and they had a pretty good selection, but it helps to book well in advance.

Visited over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend to get a rental. Staff had me set up quickly. Everyone was courteous and respectful. Thank you Hertz for making what was a pretty awful weekend much better.
The place is definitely understaffed. There is always a line, and they know full well that this is not a fastfood counter where u go in and out. Each customer needs time. I have been renting cars here for 6 years on and off. All the cars I have rented are dirty, enterprise rent a car has a car wash right by their establishment and washes/vacuum a car before handing to u. Unfortunately hertz has an exclusive contract with state farm so I have to deal with their stinky cars. The staff is actually very nice to deal with and extra helpful, but bottom line. Still a long wait (every time for 6 years!!) And yep... dirty cars...

Every time I go in to Hertz, they treat me excellent! I get great service, my car is already ready, within minutes Im out the door and on my way. The return is just as fast. The gentlemen that check me in and out are incredibly kind and helpful! Thank you for not just providing good cars at a great price, but for providing EXCELLENT customer service!

Staff was very welcoming & courteous. Was there for a rental from Insurance due to accident, they asked, made sure everyone was o.k. The process was so easy and quick.. No hassle service!
I had a mediocre experience with this company. The initial representative was friendly. My complaint is when I returned the vehicle.I noticed that I continued to receive charges of 85 daily after I returned the car. I called customer service and was told once I bring the car back they’ll stop the charges.What ?!?! I had already returned the car five days earlier. It was never processed in the system that I returned vehicle.I asked for a discount for this inconvenience and was denied. So Hertz has more than 500 in pending changes on my account and their only response is that I have to wait up to 7 business days for the charges to fall off. The charges never should have been made !!I returned the car a week ago and still no refund. Very unprofessional and inconvenient.I will not be a returning customer.

I rented a car from here for a spring break road trip and the staff was so friendly and helpful! The location was clean and the car was great! I would recommend this Hertz location to anyone! I will definitely be using them again!
Hertz got me a car that I could actually drive, Im over 6 feet tall with long legs. They made sure I was comfortable and gave it to us for the price our insurance would pay.They charged our card daily, but credited everything back to us. Everyone was extremely nice. Ill come here over the place that starts with an E.

Wanted us to only use a credit card for a $200 deposit. Where it said nothing of the sort online.
I was in a jam and Hertz was the only auto rental place that helped me out. The agent was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind.Next time I need a rental its the ONLY place Ill go.

Worst rental company ever. They take money out of your account without your permission and then act like your supposed to know these things would happen without given you prior authorization to do so and dont want to take accountability for their own mistakes. Also, they require a 400% deposit to even use a car of theirs ($50 a day rental they want $200 deposit and your only renting one day). This is ridiculous. Unless your made of money or dont mind your bank account becoming overdrawn due to their lack of communication, then stay clear of renting from Hertz ever!

The worst of all, when they see you are Hispanic they will treat you like if you are stupid, and will not take their time to help you.
Best car rental experience I have ever had.
Rented an economy vehicle for a week. The rental smelled so strongly of smoke it was exchanged. The next vehicle did not stink but had stains on the seats. I was disgusted. Staff was friendly but I would not rent from her again. I would not recommend.
Horrible wouldnt use them. Girl put in the wrong days for the car started charging me when I wasnt supposed to be then when I called no one could give me a straight answer and no one called back to fix the problem
