Apparently they dont help as much as they pretend too because they put out 5 people in the past 2 weeks to live on the streets because of money and problems with their female director

This mission houses both men and women that are attempting to get their lives back on track, many are NOT there due to drugs or alcohol but either mental/emotional issues or are disabled and applying for benefits or simply cannot care for themselves and the state DOES NOT provide proper housing for people on the fringes, the haven of mercy helps all that they can and MORE.Sundays there is open chapel at 9:30 and all are welcome, the pastor is an entertaining man of God and filled with the spirit.I have LITERALLY seen a man have a seizure prevented from the pastor laying hands on him.The haven helps those that arent residents as well by providing dinner each week night starting at 4:30 when donations and stock allows.

If it was not for this place I dont know what I would do it has given me a reason to get up every morning and try to get on my feet to try to better myself. I also have a bed to sleep in a warm house and food in my stomach before I go to bed at night. I thank God for Pastor Grant and all the people at the Haven of Mercy for being there not only for me but with me while I have been on this journey.God Bless each and every one of you.

I seldom post nonglowing reviews for places. Though this place is looking to help the 1st time i reached out for help, i was able to set up for a friend to pick up my food box. The second time i reached out for help I called as soon as I got out of work, no food in the house at all, they were rude with me and when i tried to explain my situation and why i was calling so late I heard the person on the phone refer to someone as the Pastor and the other voice said I dont care we dont take calls past a certain time, hang up, when the person tried to advocate, the phone was rudely slammed in my ear. I havent called them for help since. I will sooner starve then reach out to a place that really has no heart to help.

One of the best homeless shelters Ive stayed at. There is no limit to how long you stay there; just do what they ask. Its 7 dollars a night, but if you dont have a job, they will work with you.

The Haven of Mercy are caring loving and god fearing people. They provide meals 3 times a day box boxes rooms for the homeless and they are not government funded. They do so much more. I love the Haven of Mercy Thrift Store. I dont have the words to say what a great place it is.

They provide help and hope to those who are actually trying to become better. Pastor Grant is doing everything he can to help make peoples life better but he cant do it alone the person has to do their part.

5 stars because they are one of a few that really help those in need in this area and donating to them is for a very good cause! So Id suggest donating to them or give what you can because they really care about others in need!

Ok so.they help.with food boxes but there shelter for women..the blue house..its got.bed bugs, the women arent being drug tested and searched..they dont watch the.cameras.. the girls who work at the office from the house arent able.to pass drug test..the girls leave after curfew and even.after check in..and leave the house to bring drugs.in and tweak.all.night.long..they require you to work at the thrift store or the kitchen whitch is fine unless you wanna.actually look for another job.. and its.hard to stay sober when.there is drugs galoor in.the shelter itself!! And they wont kick those ppl out bc.them ppl are the ones who plan.to stay and work.at the shelter for a.while..

Came here to try to volunteer the place is a total dump and that is being polite the staff of this place is transient persons whom work for a place to stay which surmounts to indentured servitude while the owner/minister has been very rude and out right hateful to some of the people i have spoken with whom tell me that he actually charges people to live there in overcrowded conditions the staff get their own private rooms apparently and the entire place has a slew of health and safety violations in plain view i have no clue where the minister was actually ordained or if he ever was he has a very extremly unorthodox practice to his ministry if it can honestly be considered a ministry at all given he drives a jaguar which says a lot about where the finances of the donations goes to....
