This business is very unprofessional. They showed up the day of the move and didn’t want to work and was very rude and unprofessional. The owner Sam called and apologized and said he would make it right the next day. They never showed up. Instead he stopped answering the phone . We booked them over a month in advance and they left us stuck. Had to fine a different moving company and pay a higher amount because it was last minute. This place shouldn’t even be in business. They are a bunch of scam artist. Don’t even waste your time. Will also file a complaint with the BBB.

Didnt show up on the day of moving!! We had booked them a few weeks in advance for June 5th Saturday at 10am moving date. A day before the moving date, we sent them an email around 5 to confirm; however to our disbelief later in the evening around 7:30, Sam the owner called us and said they will not come on Saturday because they dont have a truck and that was it. Evening before the planned move, we were baffled. After pleading so much, Sam said they will try to come on Sunday at 10:00 AM. On Sunday, his crew came early at 9:00 AM and when we said we asked for 10 AM due to small children in the house that we need to attend to - we were threatened to leave and find someone else. Again, after pleading with Sam on the call, because of lack of choice - we couldnt find someone last minute - we had to agree with him. He asked for big tips for the workers which we gave because they worked as expected in the very hot weather day. After the move, when we asked Sam for some discount for not coming on contracted date - Sam the owner was very rude and unprofessional and was not willing to give any discount. I would not hire him or recommend Big Sam moving unless you are ok with moving some other day than the scheduled day. We have never done business with anyone so rude and unprofessional.

Broke the wheel of storage box - it will take very poor handling to completely take the wheels apart. They did not even know where the wheels are.Also broke bike brake lever.Very rude behavior.

PLEASE READ THIS!!! I used them before so decided to give them another shot, but what a mistake! They were so unprofessional and don’t know anything about customer service. First they didn’t even call to inform me that they are running late. After I called them they gave me different excuses every time as to why they are late. Finally, after going back and forth for 7 hours, they told me they’re not coming to help me with my move. This is SCAM!! The wort service I’ve ever gotten in my life. Please save your time and money and book with a company that’s reliable.

This firm was called last minute on Monday and turned up today and performed a great service. I coordinated the move from Europe while my wife is in New York. The staff were professional and went beyond to make sure she was happy with their service. I am happy to recommend them over and again without hesitation.

They came to the house. Randomly wanted to bump the price up 300$ and then after removing two boxes they said it was too much work and then left. Highly unprofessional and all 3 of them should be unemployed with this work ethic. Why drive over an hour away from your office just to waste gas and not do any work? Pure stupidity and laziness.

DO NOT USE BIG SAM MOVING COMPANY!!!!!!!!They are SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND SCAMMED US!!!!We were scheduled to have the movers show up at 9:30 AM. They didn’t show up so we we called them. Instead of them calling us to let us know they will be running late, we had to call them. 1st RED FLAG. Diane informed us they will be there by 10:30 because they had a flat tire. DIDN”T SHOW UP. Called back, now she says they will be here by 12:30PM. We were frustrated but waited. AGAIN DIDN’T SHOW UP! Now we called Diane and she tells us to call Mike, the person in contact with the drivers. We told him we had to be moved by 4PM. He promised that will happen and they will be here soon. We wait. Diane or Mike NEVER call us! We continuously have to call them for updates. Mike PROMISED they will be here by 2:30. Of course, THEY DON’T SHOW UP! Finally get a phone call at 3 saying the driver is on their way and will be there in 10 minutes. 30 minutes pass by and of course they didn’t show up. The driver calls saying he just left and will be here in 35 minutes. We wait another 45 minutes. and call back. The driver gets frustrated and says he will be here soon. 30 minutes pass by and no one has showed up. It’s now 5PM. We call Diane, Mike, and the driver to get an update and NO ONE PICKS UP!! We call from a friends phone thinking they are ignoring our calls, and of course Mike picks up and informs us no one will be showing up today!!!!! WHY DID WE HAVE TO CALL FROM A DIFFERENT NUMBER FOR THEM TO PICK UP TO TELL US THEY WON’T BE COMING!?! HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!!!The entire day went by and they played us all day and no one showed up!!! Luckily we have AMAZING friends and family who rolled up their sleeves and helped us disassemble all our furniture and we moved it all ourselves!!BIG SAM MOVING COMPANY IS SO UNRELIABLE, RUDE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Moving is already SO STRESSFUL and the last thing you need is for the movers to do this!!PLEASE DO NOT USE BIG SAM MOVING COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible movers right from the get go were trying to trick. The booking Diane booked 3 movers for $110 per hour but only 2 guys showed up. They kept complaining the whole time. They changed the pricing on the fly and charged me one hour extra and threatened to take my stuff away. Stay away from this company.

Our family had a smooth move. This was last minute and I had work but I was not bothered by them at all.Supportive and friendly staff, took us about 4 hours only. We received our stuff absolutely in tact.

SCAM!!! SCAM!! SCAM!! ZERO STARS !!! Do not book these movers!! Not because the movers were horrible but Diane who book reservations will scam you. She will quote you one price for 4 hours. I confirmed 4hrs she said yes plus travel . once the job was complete the total was different. When I inquired about the additional charge especially because I made sure to confirmed multiple time while booking, she then decides to want to argue with me. Telling me she did me a favor by pushing back other bookings “FYI I didn’t ask her to do that nor did she inform me that she was doing so” she continue to argue yell over me and hang up! Twice! So PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY BOOK ELSEWHERE!!

Diane and Co play mind games with customers as they know customer situation when they hire them to do moving services .When u talk to Diane she ask for deposit and take all details from you and confirm appointment . She starts playing the game from morning of your appointment day ... she confirm in morning we are on schedule we will be there at ur place exactly at 1pm . When you call back to check that no one turned up at your place ..she says you know what guys have another job in that area which is one block away so it takes 3-4hrs only after that they will come to your place . Finally when you demand to honor your appointment ...she will say in half hour i will send guys to move stuff.. After one hour she calls and starts playing second part of the game..... there is guy paid xyz $ which is actual higher than what has been discussed and agreed when she took deposit ...she is like bargaining ( Unethical, Frauddddddd) whether you will pay or not ......she and her Co think if they put pressure then customer scumbs to it as customer is waiting for few hours stressed disappointed with her mind games ..........they know customer will agree to pay .........ok customer agrees poor fellow no option left ...then after sometime her gang/team arrives on site ....screen play starts now ........one guy comes in discuss contract check stuff in home ( which they already know what items are there at the time of making an appointment very well in advance and taking deposit ) ..he behaves like gentleman .... in paper work you mention all furniture items after discussing with him and gets ur signature ...he walks out to start work ...one of the gang/team member walks out onsite for reasons only they know ...original order is to have 3 people doing work in 4-5 hours or extra what ever time to pay money on hourly basis .. when we call back she makes a deal with customer to convince 2 people can do job and you just pay X dollar and..gentlemen also agree.. finally gentleman and his other teammate starts job...after sometime uploading your boxes and stuff..screen play 2 starts......gentlemen shows disappointment with the furniture in place to move... Wowww ( He is one who got furniture items listed when arrived onsite and took customer signature clearly ) ..he starts abusing calling you names ....taking about your character ... finally he says i cant do with this X $ money ...we need more 300-400$ more .Wow..so now they think customer is left no option as they have already uploaded some stuff in truck ..when you call back Diane Scammer ...she says let them leave...i will send you 4 people to do your job quick ...they are just finishing job will be at ur door step 30 mins............then gentlemen unloads your stuff and leave place ........leaving poor victimized customer ..customer waits for 30 mins,, 1 hrs, 2hrs keep calling ...Diane most unethical scammer ....make you believe that 4 people will come soon and do your job fasterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.. customer waits waits like a fool.............sorry made fool by Diane and Co .. after sometime you call her N number of times they dont answer calls ....its gone .......your deposit is gone ...... your time is wasted....you are abused by her team .........just by making an appointment with these scammers ...making early deposit to confirm appointment ....they leave you in bad mental state ...so my dear friends and fellow human beings...Diane will not call you again or picks your calls ..you lost your deposit, time, mental peace, huge loss ...she disappear ....no calls nothing...your deposit is gone..Dear Users / Fellow Human beings make wise decision if you want to use their services . I have shared my experience with them..... i hope you have better options out in market .they never come back ...... value your time and money . Diane the owner...Unprofessional, bait and switch, RUDE when questioned about a 300$ overcharge, demanded cash and got extremely angry when i gave credit card AND threatened not to deliver my furniture to second address...The WORST experience ever!

Honestly if I can give them 0 stars I would. I was moving from the same town to the same town the day of the move I was supposed to be charged $380 when the movers came the guy gave us the excuse that he was tired and it will take more than three hours to move a small two bedroom apartment he Tried to charge me $600 cash In person once we refused to pay the $600 he dropped all of my boxes on the floor in the alleyway was cursing and yelling outside and drove off .I call Diane she was supposed to send me three new movers to help move my apartment. No new movers came and every time we called the office she sent me straight to voicemail. Thank the Lord I reserved a U-Haul two weeks before just in case and still ended up moving with families help. Please do not waste your time with this moving company they are liars scammers and just plain horrible.

Do not waste your time with the owner of the company. Complete bait and switch. Tells you price is low and then adds all these charges that he never mentioned initially. The movers did work hard and were great. Not the owner.I would stay away from working with this company as you will not be happy when all said and done. There are a lot of moving companies out there and this guy will say he quotes you the best price, but its a complete lie. I wish I read the Google reviews before starting..

Competitive pricing! Communication was good, and I was informed ahead of time that traffic had created a small delay. Work was completed thoroughly, carefully, and in a timely manner. Will use again!

I had no issues with these here fellas. I believe they do mighty fine work and arent too pricey. Id advise my fellow kin and the likes to use em if need be.

Very professional, fair pricing. not a single piece damaged. Move was complete in stipulated time and did not charge me a dime extra.Simple, efficient and honest.The owner was super friendly - showed me how to pack certain items - packed some of the items i did not put in boxes. Could not have asked for a smoother move.

I had spoken to Jason on the phone who gave me a price quote. He sounded very knowledgeable and professional. I was a little reluctant, but decided to take a chance because I had to leave at the end of the month. I thought there was bound to be some issue with it being so last minute but everything ran smoothly!!! Surprisingly, the price he quoted to me on the phone remained the same. The truck showed up on time and my furniture and things were delivered in the same condition I left it. At the end of the day I am very satisfied with this service and I would highly recommend them.

They were a day late, and tried to raise the price on me for additional stuff I dont need. They even left back a few of my belongings.Workers were fine but so call boss need to be retrained.

My mom confirmed her move every day this week with supervisor Diane, and we were ready and packed to go waiting for the trucks this morning at the confirmed time we had set this week, we call today because the movers were not here and Diane was very rude and unprofessional cancelling our trucks and hanging up the phone on my mother. This company is very unhelpful and very unprofessional just like their supervisor, a company is only as good as it’s staff

I could write an essay about my experience with this company, but in the interest of brevity, Ill keep it short: the booking agent deliberately misled me about the extra costs. The company also postponed our move by a day, and didnt inform us until after the time they were supposed to come. When I tried to get in touch with the agent about my dismay at the extra costs, she was evasive. I finally got in touch with her to outline what I thought was wrong, and she yelled at me, suggesting that maybe I dont understand English.With that said, the movers themselves were excellent. They were patient and professional. Since they were actually from a different company, I dont feel bad about giving Big Sam such a low rating.

Worst mover ever, do not hire them, they asked for more money on the day of moving almost holding me ransom. In addition they did not disclose that they were delivering piecemeal so are deceitful. I received my interstate delivery in parts and a month after inconveniencing me completely. No explanations given, you cannot trust this person. Stay away. I would give a negative five stars if permitted

Pathetic guys... they will quote lower prices compared to other movers but will charge you extra 100 bucks for one or other reason. Most common reason is going back to Jersey city office which Diane will not inform you earlier. And at end when you say same to moving guys, they start fighting with you which is embarrassing specially when you are moving to new area.

DO NOT use this company for your moving. They arent professional at all . I just had a terrible experience with them, they guys didnt protect the pieces with the moving blankets and damage a lot of stuff . My daughters crib wood is all chipped now and that was in Perfect condition. Not to mention that my new home is a two levels and they moved everything assembled .. 😠😠Bad company

COMPANY IS A JOKE. BEWAREEEEEEEmployed the company to move my mother. They showed up 2 hours late. Once there the mover in charged told me to call the offixe before they would start to pay the bill. Neither the men who came to move or the qomen diana in the offixe speak English well or understand how business works in america. Once i gave her my credit card information she called the men and the men walked off the job and disspeared. I called diana and she stayed that my mother who is 60 years old and attends church twice a day cursed the men out. My mother doesnt curse. Theyre scammers i cancelled the card immediately. Beware...............

Very rude,aerogant,unprofessional and unapologetic as well. WORST services ever.I was supposed to move on Saturday and friday evening they cancelled my move and postponed it till sunday. On sunday the guy arrived at my place more than an hour late and moreover throwing all sorts of aerogance(reasons best known to only him) and cancelled my move there itself even when i was ready to pay him whatever amount wanted. I requested him not to cancel it since it was the last day of my lease and anyhow i had to move out on that day but he was so ill mannered, rude and aerogant that he just left!Nobody from THE Big Sam Moving Co. even bothered to apologize as well. I had the worst experience ever. Would never recommend to anybody ever.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE Never hire this company. If you do, the move will probably go ok, but in the end they will want more money than its due. Diane and Vicky both kept arguing about the negotiated rate and came up with all kinds of arguements that did not make sense. They wanted $200 more than the actual due amount. Diane and Vicky both kept yelling and hanging up the phone.

Hese people are incredibly rude and unprofessional. Tried to gouge a disabled person. Quoted an outrageous time to do a small job and were very rude. Had another company do it for less than half the time big sams quoted.
