The transition has been easy from the moment we visited to inquire until we moved in. Kayne answered all our inquiries before moving in and has been equally accommodating every time we have questions.The people in the leasing office and the maintenance team (esp Manny) have been very helpful. We had a request, and Alicia C. ensured that everything was taken cared of until our concern was resolved. I admire their dedication and how well-mannered they are. Alicia is an angel. She made several calls to make sure that the appropriate steps were taken.Avalon Cove is near the mall, supermarket, barbershop, salon, boardwalk, a location with multiple commute options, and the lovely view is a bonus. It has been a pleasant experience for us since day 1.

Ive enjoyed my time here at Avalon Cove so far! The management seems to be quick on repairs and communicates them effectively. The location is great and the surrounding area is fun to explore.The support from the Leasing Office is a solid 5/5. Working with Kayne has been a great experience and really made moving in super easy. Kayne answered all 400 of my questions and event went above and beyond with managing my packages that accidentally arrive before I moved in.Cons that almost bring it down to 4 stars:1. The apartment build is pretty old and my apartment definitely could use a renovation. Some problems include very little storage and pretty uneven floors.2. The hallways are clean but definitely show years of wear and could probably use new carpet, at least.3. The grills are pretty filthy, that falls on residents and management though.All in all, Avalon Cove is a place I would recommend with the pros heavily outweighing the cons. Just prepare to get creative with storage!

The response time has always been timely, but especially throughout these last especially challenging 15 months. Specifically want to thank Carlos and Manny for the very thorough job they did on Friday and Alicia for ALWAYS coming through for us. From lease renewal to help with packages to understanding when I say things like needing a “tall cleaning thingy”, she gets it done! All three of you have gone above and beyond expectations and we very much appreciate your exceptional efforts!

I have been living here for the past two years and really enjoyed the experience. The location is nice and the view is amazing. I really enjoyed staying here, very convenient for everyday living, and friendly staff in the leasing office who made the move-in/out process easy.Would recommend to those coming from overseas, with flexible move-in dates (no need to start on the 1st of the month), and lack of credit history is not a barrier to renting, provided you pay a larger deposit (1.5x monthly rent). I only left to go more central, and will miss the size of apartments like these in Jersey City.Good facilities, including gym, swimming pool and tennis courts (didnt use latter). Walking distance to Newport and Exchange Place PATH stations. Shoprite supermarket just across the road. Newark Airport about 45 minutes away by Uber.

The apartment is cost-effective, and maintenance guys are always helpful and friendly. But the mouse control is terrible. Found a live mouse on the second floor. Have to set up the trap and catch it by myself.

I lived in Avalon Cove for almost three years. During the stay, Mohamed and Kayne have been greatly helping me in terms of leasing, moving in/out, maintenance and so on. They are always patient, attentive and responsive to my questions. Mohamed was also trying to provide me more flexible options to extend the stay in Avalon Cove. Their passion and enthusiasm have earn many residents trust! Although I moved out to a new apartment after three years in Avalon Cove, I highly recommend people who are looking for new communities reach out to Mohamed and Kayne!

This is the second Avalon I have lived in and my parents lived in one as well. I love everything Avalon communities have to offer as far as accessibility and amenities. There are always people to answer your questions and concerns and there is a great online platform for submitting any maintenance requests and bill pay. Kayne helped me apply for my first Avalon apartment in Hoboken and did so again at Avalon Cove. He was swift and reassuring and got us secured and moved in within a few days!Plus the view from the pool doesnt hurt!

I wish Avalon cove shows same degree of attention towards resident issues as they exercise before scrutinizing applications prior to renting an apartment. Wish I could give less than one star rating... Poorly maintained apartments. Dog poop is ubiquitous. Parking is always a problem. Pretty good chance that your paid parking spot is occupied by some visitor. Management does not care about your concerns but is very particular about collecting rents on time. Fire alarms keep going off for various technical reasons in the middle of the night. Packages keep missing quite often especially during holidays.

Just share my true story. A maintenance guy came into my apartment and took my personal belonging away, without notice, without record, without other witness. I reported this to management office. However, the management said it was not his fault and it was just a misunderstanding. His original intention is to move my belongings to storage and return to me later. Instead of questioning this ridiculous excuse, the management questioned what I said and argued with me. This made me even more frustrated. When you live here, be very very care of your property because the management doesn’t care.

A couple important things to note for anyone considering Avalon Cove for their new home. First, the staff is incredibly responsive to any and all requests. Every interaction ive had with them has been met with a smile and a positive attitude. Second, the amenities are very well maintained and make this place feel like a resort. Im writing this review in the midst of social distancing / quarantine and theyve done an exceptional job at communicating the availability and keeping things safe. The complex is very family friendly and the community aspect is fun to be a part of.

Overall the experience at Avalon has been great with no real issues that stand out. Leaving a review only cause Mohamed at the Leasing Office was extremely helpful and friendly!

Very nice living place. I moved to Avalon Cove in 2020 with my roommates. The building is modern, clean and tidy. The community is safe and we have easy access to everything. The scenery of Jersey City made me decided to move from NYC. Last but not least, many thanks to Kayne Davis-Giles who introduced this nice place to us!! He is really kind and helpful, and response to our requests quickly and professionally. Really appreciate it.

After living at Avalon Cove for about 8 months, Ive found there are Pros and Cons to living in this community.Pros:-The leasing office is always very helpful. Specifically, Kayne was incredibly helpful throughout the process of signing our lease.-The apartments themselves are incredibly spacious - much more than you would get in some high rises nearby for the same price.-Maintenance is quick and effective - responding the next day the few times we needed them.-The facilities (that can be used right now) are well maintained and managed.-Great location. Walking distance to pretty much anything you could need and right on the waterfront (beautiful views).Cons:-The community is pet friendly, but offers almost nothing in terms of pet facilities. Dogs must be taken to the outside perimeter of the community for their toilet purposes - meaning they are not allowed in the gated courtyards. The pet stations the community offers are simply a small amount of wood chips and a pet waste station. We pay $50/month pet rent and are not offered any pet amenities.-There are lots of kids in this community. For families interested in moving into the community, this is probably not a con - but for young professionals considering living here, it is something you should know. Many of the kids living in this community run around (through hallways, outside windows, in common spaces) unsupervised, yelling with no regard for their neighbors. Definitely something to consider if you work from home.Overall, Avalon Cove offers excellent value for an apartment in the Jersey City area, provided the community is a right fit for you.

Sales representative statement in quotes when asking to see available units from their website: These apartments are not currently available to view and will not be available to view until the day they are available to move in.Its understandable that different units are available as per tenant departure schedule. But is it a joke that units not available to view until the day a tenant moves in? So basically blind move into an apartment and see it on the day of move? This management better be crazy!!

I love living at Avalon Cove and have had a great experience with the Avalon Staff. Everyone is courteous, helpful and responsive. A huge special thank you to Kayne, the leasing agent we worked with. He was professional and prompt and was able to make our moving experience seamless, but best of all, he did not drop the ball there. He continues to be helpful & quick to respond if we have a question. In part, his professionalism is the reason we have just renewed our lease. Great community with great staff!!

With 41 open apartments currently available as at todays date - please go and consult your psychiatrist before renting with this organization and particularly this property. I had 17-years experience there. At the start, they ere fantastic Ill be the first to admit. But as time marched on, they became more and more difficult to deal with.As a sole business owner, when the financial crash of 2008 came, I had to work twice as hard for twice less and had to make huge adjustments to my lifestyle.I asked Avalon Cove (who kept taking me to court in the last two years of my residence there because my rent payment was always late - but never accumulated), if they would kindly let me move to a smaller apartment which would help me with my flailing budget. Yes they said .... but at the end of your current lease term. I had 11 months to go on the current lease term and pointed that out. Their response and suggestion was to pay off the current lease in full (meaning pay 11 months rent to close the current lease and then open a new lease in a lower cost apartment). Can you believe that? This action alone took my basic rent and increased it with their legal fees, the courts fees and o on making it impossible for me to crawl out of under the financial crisis I was faced with.How terribly unkind and uncaring these people are (were) - probably still are. But with the current covid crisis and the lake of jobs and people dying all round and yes another financial crisis - all I can say to you is BE CAREFUL - THESE PEOPLE ARE IMMORAL AND UNHELPFUL AND FRANKLY, UNKIND. Suddenly you can qualify for 2 free months - beware of the trap! Youre doomed if anything goes wrong and because you will have signed a lease, you will more than likely be dragged into court.I look from the sidelines now and celebrate the fact that they are not running at full capacity. Note the STARTING FROM price also .... all is not what is seems. But lets assume that what inventory they are currently showing on their website is accurate at the price shown, they are currently sitting with a quarter of a million dollars worth of open space monthly and that (karma) overjoys me.You should have been kinder, more helpful, and understanding to those who had supported you for so very long Avalon Cove. If you had of, you might not be in this financial predicament right now and with a second covid wave approaching, matters can only get worse.When it gets worse for you, Ill be laughing on the sidelines.ANY SANE MINDED PERSON - AVOID AVALON COVE. Just recently moved into a 2b2b and already in love with my new home.Over the past few years I have lived in a few different buildings here in NP, and with total honesty, I would rank Avalon as one of the top tier buildings worth the bucks you pay.It might not have the latest amenities and a rooftop view, but all that extra personal space you get for so cheap is just unbeatable.Moreover, a big shoutout to Kayne, incredibly talented agent who facilitated the move so much. Best riverside view in Jersey City. It is such a nice environment around Cove. Amenities are good and versatile. You aint find nowhere else with so many good amenities but in such a cheap lease. It is a 20+ year old community, and equipment is kind of old comparatively. But the all the staff and the maintenance are awesome. SOT my favorite guys Kayne, Johnny and John! They are always trying to help you out.

We downsized and moved here about 6 weeks ago and we are very happy with our choice of Avalon Cove. Great location with easy access to NYC and all that JC has to offer. Good amenities. Wonderful staff! The folks in the leasing office continue to be amazing... even after we signed the lease! And the maintenance team pay attention to detail and have been very friendly. I read another person write that it’s like a 3-star resort here. I would agree. That’s a compliment! From the moment my roommate and I moved in, the building staff has been nothing but a pleasure and professional. Moved in a few weeks ago and Kayne was my main contact, he was extremely helpful in all aspects of the move, getting the lease setup, parking garage allocation and aspects such as booking the elevator for the move in date.The development is well looked after, the gym, tennis courts and common areas are kept in good condition. You are right on the water and its very quiet, with easy access to the PATH station and bars, restaurants etc in Grove street. The apartments are spacious and modern.

Fantastic location and convenient access to Path options to NYC. Avalon staff are amazing. Service issues are solved very quickly. Tennis courts are new. Outdoor seating and grills are available for cookouts. The complex is next to a boardwalk with seating and amazing views of Manhattan. Of course, the pool is another great feature during the summer.

It’s been amount two months since we moved and Kayne has been there every strip of the way from answering emails in a timely manner or even just opening the door when I pick up my packages from the leasing office. He’s definitely a team player.

I have lived there for three years. My last year experience was horrible. DO NOT RENT ANY APARTMENT WITH BALCONY. The squirrels kept broken into the apartment through the screening window of the balcony and damaged the room, furnitures and clothes. The leasing office couldnt provide any meaningful support to reslove this issue. Even worse, once I moved out, they charged me the cost to repairing the carpet which was damaged by squirrels.

I would like to share my own experience here. This community is wonderful, everyone in the leasing office is really helpful. Especially I would like to take this moment to say thank you to Keyne, since he really helped me a lot during either move in process or all other requests. In general I like this community.

I moved into Avalon cove a week ago. So far my experience has been positive. The leasing office staff is so nice and helpful! They called me instantly when there was an oversized package delivered to the office, and Kayne helped me take it to my apartment.

Would recommend to anyone. apt was in great condition when we got it. Grounds and amenities well kept. Quiet complex and close to shop rite, the mall, and trains to nyc. Maintenance staff responds within 24 hrs to service requests, always courteous. Leasing office staff also very helpful. I called them to possibly feed my cat when my cat sitter dropped the ball and they not only fed her, they cleaned the litter, played with her and offered to come back the next day if needed- was very impressed.

Maintenance service continues to be excellent. We needed urgent service on Jan 12th and called the emergency number. The person who took the call was very gentle and thorough, and in about ten minutes a representative (Carlos) was knocking on our door, and promptly resolved the issue with his usual efficiency and helpfulness. Highly recommend this propertyAs a fourteen-year resident of the Avalon Cove apartments in Jersey City, I can state categorically that this property is an exceptional place to live.The outside grounds are lovely, and the common spaces inside are always beautifully kept. The Cove provides superb amenities and the staff goes above and beyond for the residents. I never have to ask for help … the staff just offers.Aside from this community being well designed, well maintained and friendly and efficiently managed, it is the nicest looking building around. The Cove has maintained its beauty and cleanliness for the entire 14 years Ive been here.The apartment itself is great – high ceilings with huge windows, new appliances, a fireplace, my own laundry room and hot water tank … plus central heat and air. Hands down the best apartment that I have ever lived in!Living here gives me freedom from home ownership along with the benefits of personalized service … it’s like living in a luxury hotel.

Great experience in Avalon Cove. The leasing office is responsible and professional. We ask them for help whenever there is a problem, and get solved very timely. We have dealt with many supers in the past, and I have to say this is the best one weve ever had (though technically they are not merely supers). The help we get from the leasing office might be the reason we want to live here for another year. :)

Very nice and quiet place. New town just like pudding. Many young people from China,Korea,India. I like the location even more. The View of the low Manhattan is very beautiful. Especially the evening view. Many young couples live here. This is a place that makes the old city young. Bad thing is not many retail stores. There is a ferry to midtown of the island.

I’m really enjoying living in Avalon cove. It’s very convenient, path and shopping are very close. I really think that we are going to renew the contract with my roommate...

We loved the place. We stayed there for 2 years from April 2015 till march 2017. The only reason we left was because we purchased our own place.The leasing office staff and the maintenance staff are awesome. Anything questions or issues you have are answered and resolved ASAP. As residents of Avalon Cove for the past 6 years, my husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. Compared to other properties in the area, weve found Avalons rent to be very competitive and few, if any, properties provide the number or types of amenities as Avalon Cove for the cost.The management and maintenance teams have been extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with over the years. If it werent for my husbands job relocating abroad, we would still be calling Avalon home. We will miss Avalon and everyone that makes up the Avalon family.

Came to live here with high hopes. After moving in we found 2 mice in the apartment and then 2 more in the following month. Considering how high the rent is this was not expected. Also the kitchen has very limited cabinets. I would NOT recommend anyone to live here.

It has been a great experience living in Avalon Cove. The staff has been very friendly and our maintenance requests were promptly answered. Our son enjoys spending time in the playroom, the pool and the gardens. The only reason why were moving is because of the price, but if you want to live somewhere nice, with amazing views of NYC, this is the perfect place.

Great Managerial and Leasing Office Staff! They are always so cooperative whenever I come in for Dog Walking Work. Avalon Cove is a prime photography location of the New York Skyline. Avalon Hoboken is great as well, since it’s literally right next to the light rail making you minutes away from Newport and the path terminal.

A big shout out to Carlos for always responding to maintenance requests in a timely fashion and always with a smile.

The staff and maintenance have been awesome. I have really enjoyed my time here. Brian has been great since Ive been here and Im looking for ward to another year!

I have been living here for almost two years. The location is great, which is probably the biggest factor that keeps me here. Management team is below average and often condescending. Some of the facilities (racquetball court, basketball court) needs to be renovated.It is below the quality of other Avalons that I have been to.

This apartment is pretty affordable for the area, and its convenient getting to both the Newport and the Exchange Place PATH stations from here. Its also a block away from the Light Rail, as well as a BJs and a Shoprite. Overall, Ive found that the residents are quiet and respectful (lots of families and young professionals), and theres a gym and a pool onsite.When we were looking for apartments last year, my wife and I dropped by the Leasing Office and immediately got a tour with Kayne (no appointment required). Honestly, Kayne seems more like an ideal neighbor than an employee - Hes always in a great mood, remembers your name, and is happy to help out with any problems you may have (even if it isnt something thats strictly in his job description). Big shoutout to Kayne and the rest of the team at Avalon Cove - Ive moved every year since I turned 17, and this is the first time Ive ever decided to renew my lease.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. High rent, Apartments in separate need of renovation, want to continue your lease to the next year? surprise! - Youll have to pay at least 15-20 more. For a two bedroom 3200/month apartment, thats a jump of 600/month!! Crazy. And then they cant even guarantee hot water in winter. Good luck Avalon. No wonder your prices are falling down.

I have had an amazing experience so far at Avalon Cove. The leasing manager Sarah is amazing and so very helpful from the time you walk in the door just to look at what they have available to the very end. Sarah knows just about everything in the complex. I did not want to spend over a certain amount and Sarah was able to help me find an apartment in my range. From the time Ive moved in everything with the building has gone nothing short of smoothly. Anytime I need anything, someone is always there to help whether it is maintenance request or just wanting a pool guest pass. Sarah will let no little detail that could potentially be a negative impact go unseen. I highly recommend the complex, other than the normal perks of location and amenities (which are amazing as well).

Moving from one country to another can be stressful. But it was less stressful and full of good memories for us as we decided to lease an apartment at Avalon Cove - Jersey City. It was a home away from home with warm people at the leasing office who were always ready to help. Appreciate the professionalism of the team - special mention to Sarah Feder who was so helpful during the stay and even after we decided to move out due to office relocation. Great location and spacious floor plan. Not like typical high-rise buildings in Newport. Have basketball court and tennis court. Gym is a little bit poor. Elevator is out of date.

Been here for about 6 months now.Pros -1. The facilities.2. The location.Cons -1. Mail/package room is a mess.2. Corridors have some weird smell all the time.3. Gaps have started appearing in the wooden flooring.The rent that I am paying currently is reasonable but if the stories of the second year rent jump are true then Ill sure have a rethink about staying here.

The house rented out to us had insects on the very first day.The management did not take care to hand over a clean apartment to new residents.On handing over the apartment back to the management immediately the very next day, they made the new resident liable for their mistakes. We still bear the expenses of the apartment even though we do not live in it since its not livable.

Great experience of moving in. The services here are great and they make me feel comfortable and convenient to live here.

On my third year at Avalon Cove; the staff at leasing office are very nice and welcoming. If you have any problem just let them know and they will take care of it. Some maintenance aspects are superior, e.g. every few months, they have an exterminator come to check on your apartments making sure there are no bugs, etc in your apt. The snow removal (even year before last) was exceptional. They respond quickly to requests for service. There is a ton of amenities and pluses like in unit washer and dryer, pool, tennis courts and gym to name a few. The down sides from my perspective are the building i live in is not kept as clean/maintained as the other and regretably some tenants are pigs. There is good news, the majority do treat the place like home and clean up after themselves and their pets. A little pricey for NJ? Maybe but really what would one pay for all this across the river and how about the view?
