First time ever going. Wife went during the week and had the whole thing to herself WOW! She mentioned they are going to renovate the inside soon maybe summertime have a Minor Jacksonville hockey team that is taking it over. I think!? Staff is great they exchanged the skates out when my kids said something was wrong with them. They have Lysol spray right there at the counter spraying them up before they put them on the shelf. We went for half price off night it was a little busy but awesome. They offer assistant Walker slides for the little kids only a certain height. You can take your time and hug the wall as I seen kids and adults doing. It doesnt matter if youre a pro or not just have fun! Music is good too something for everybody. They have Beer for adults! Right ON!
The Tuesday 7$ Ice skating was an absolute treat! The atmosphere of this place is fantastic and fun and other than the great ice rink there is some arcade games and a conession stand. Got to feel like a kid again.
Always a great place to take the kids to challenge themselves with something different! look on their website for the best time to go and for BOGO opportunities!
Good place for family and couples. Best Time ⏲ ever having so much fun
Love must bring kids here. They put on lights asa skating rink would and just a bueatiful fun place for the family. Kinda expensive side but hey! Your not up north where you can skate for 3.00. Or free ice lol.
Great experience. Lots of stuff for the kids (hockey league, figure skating, and indoor soccer stuff). Give it a go. You won’t be sorry.
Had a blast with my friends during family night. Not too crowded and had friendly staff.
I had a great time meeting new people and catching up with old friends while enjoying the fun an interesting sport of Wheelchair Curling.
Exciting ice skating experience along with Iceman training facility undergoing an amazing transformation!
Not crowded at all. Kids pretty much had the entire rink to themselves.
The dangerously unhelpful, poorly trained staff made this experience one that I will not be in a hurry to repeat. They made what could have been a fun outing, something that Ill now actively have to make up to my child. I definitely do not recommend.
I cant tell you how good this is, it may ruin this hidden summertime gem.
Great time with the family, grand kids had so much fun. Great trip to Jacksonville so many things to experience that we never knew of.
Was notified by a kid who worked “security” that I Can’t bring a lunch or water bottle (even if empty)into the sportsplex because selling disgusting food and exploiting you for money is this places only goal do better no one wants 2 day old nachos especially at an all day event?! Also y’all really out here trying to SELL an empty 50¢ cup for $2 honestly sad seeing what happened to what used to be a fun place for my friends and family at one point
Kids loved learning to ice skate, used walker to keep from falling, fun time went by fast !
The owner was very rude when I called him to ask him how it worked sense I won tickets from a contest. He hung up on me and I had to call him back at the time I didnt know he was the owner until I called back to complain about being hung up and I was informed it was the owner. I told him you shouldnt treat a customer that will be spending money in your facility like that. When we did go the staff was just as rude except for the lady that was working at the food court she was AWESOME also there was a guy that was in charge of handing out the walkers for young kids he was nice too!!The girl you pay for tickets was rude and also I held the door for one of the staff member he didnt even say thank you or anything. My daughter did have fun with her friends skating but I am am not sure if we will go back or not.
I dont know if its the fact that Ive lived in NJ for the past 7 years but its hard to find a legit ice skating rink in the south. I get it, anything dealing with cold is rare here, but this place is as close as it gets. During open skate, I got some rentals and they hurt my feet like hell. I dont know if it was the skates or the rink, but Ive never had that issue at any rink up North. Thats the only reason I gave 4 out of 5 syars. Now, overall the experience was good. Will I go back? Probably not, unless I buy my own skates, which I probably will never do. Lol.Price was reasonable, they offer military discount which is cool. Saturday night cosmic skating is cool. Covid protocols in full effect. **one tiny piece of advice, during breaks when when the ice is being resurfaced maybe have someone skate around the inside of the rink with lysol. Spray the red part that everyone touches.Place is very family friendly and they are strict on the walker things. Which is understandable. Gotta make money. I didnt have time to check out the food, however from what I saw it looked good.
They seemed to wait longer than usual/necessary to bring out the Zamboni. Not too busy on this Saturday. The crowd thinned out half way into a four hour session.
Ive been coming here since 2016 for my indoor volleyball league and not much has changed since then. The sports part definitely needs a revamp, especially the floors.
It is so much family fun. If you are a good bad or havent skated in year it is a great time.
We had my daughter’s 7th birthday party here and we were very disappointed. The party was from 12p-4p but the pizza time was not until 2:45p. It was not explained to me that we would only have a party room during the pizza time. A few of my daughter’s friends had to leave early so we wanted to go ahead and do the cake before they left but the manager refused to allow us to have our cake unless we did it in the party room at our planned time of 2:45p. I was also told we would have a party host, which I never saw. No one was there during our pizza time to serve pizza or drinks to our guests. I would not recommend this business to anyone for a birthday party and will not give ever bring my family back.
It was worth the 5 hour drive for us!!! First time ice staking, thought they would have buffed the ice out after the game and before we went out but still had a great time.
Fun spot. Attended tournament and visited Ice Rink. Awesome
Fun place, not sure as far as seating. Beats being outside
Fun fir family and kids but it needs a little TLC for sure. Being only ice station in Jacksonville it should WOW the hell out of me. Need to keep up with cleaning and appearance thats all.
I loved it, went with some friends and it was the best
Rundown and dirty. Supposedly the new Management is going to do a top to bottom renovation but they have a long road ahead of them.
Ice skating - A bit pricey and the rental skates suck, but its ice and pretty fast too. Fun to get out to thou. Better if you have your own skates.
Need better flooring for Basketball games. More security is needed.
They need new skates!Nice staff and good times!
So helpful and relaxing. Really easy for public skate. Friendly people and good exercise.
I love it there bc of Everything and the food is super good and the cshows and comps are fun to do i recommend going there if u wanna skate
Having to wear mask while ice skating was the dumbest thing Ive ever had to do. It makes no sense especially since we could easily social distance. There were maybe 15 people in the place. Ridiculous.
This idea of having kids play for the love of the game, but with all the money this place makes they should at least fix it up! The basketball courts have duct tape and the back boards are so dirty. It doesnt cost alot to just clean, Not to mention the price they charge parents to get it.!! The owner needs to step it up!!!
Nice place but they had a( gun show )and youth basketball in the same building
This place is so gross it looks like a zombie apocalypse camp. I feel like I just walked into the walking Dead just minus the zombies.
I have taken lessons and paid to skate during the pubic session for around two years now. I am saddened and very disappointed that the figure skaters are no longer allowed to do even a two foot spin in the designated area for the figure skaters. As someone who as been going there for a while now and who has paid the quality has really gone down. There are constantly kids going wherever they please on the rink, hockey skaters who speed and have almost tripped me on multiple occasions, kids purposely making holes in the ice, people not wearing their mask properly, and that makes me question if we are really the problem? Not to even talk about the condition of the rink, it is the furthest from clean. My friends and I have loved going here but now we can’t even do the simplest of things. I understand you can pay for a private time but it is very overpriced and you have to be a member.
A lot of fun! Wear long socks to protect your legs while skates are on though.
Went to watch AAU tournament. Standing room only with minimal seating. They have a six court set up for tournament.
Live this place for my son to learn hockey. Staff and coaches are great and COVID conscience. Great facility and my son loves coming here
We had fun, but honestly the place is filthy. It needs deep cleaned inside and out. The rental ice skates need replaced ASAP before someone gets seriously hurt. The teens working were very kind, polite and attentive on ice. However, an older gentleman told my family to move or we would get hit with a heavy door. A simple polite excuse me, would have been appropriate. Just please replace the skates, they are a hazard.
For about two years this rink has been the highlight of my daughters life. After two years of her practicing and skating now she can no longer do 90% of the things that she learned how to do. Its extremely sad to say but I cant say that I will be returning to this horrible rink that refuses to let children do spins on the ice seeing as its not only a hockey rink but is also meant for figure skaters. Very disappointing. My daughter came home crying the other weekend because the ice staff was getting onto her for spinning with both of her feet on the ice because it makes chips in the ice. If my daughter doing little spins on the ice is causing chips...its because of how horrible the ice is. Its crazy how many hearts this rink is crushing considering its the only one in north east Florida.
My daughter takes ice skating lessons. There is a lack of communication between staff. The monthly fee was paid, but they went to my daughter and said she could not skate because she did not pay. They upset my daughter . The need to learn how to speak to children and communicate with each other. If there was another place to ice skate we would not be here.
20 dollars for day entry to watch youth basketball is a ridiculous price to pay, especially if you have a large family
Very fun place! It was my childrens first time. Everyone was kind and the ice was nice and smooth. The kids guides are nice to use too. Rental boots need a little updating.
Good hockey and skating programming.
Great place to get out with the kids masks and temp always. Lots of fun
It was very concerning with the current state that no one was cleaning the facility. Not one person tried to wipe a table, wipe the side of the ice rink where everyone was touching the sides or wiping down the games. Only one door was opened going into the ice rink, causing people to gather closely to wait for in and out. No one monitored the temperature reader when entering. Also, mask wearing was not enforced. Very disappointing considering how many people were inside the building.
Fun, nice staff and good area and prices
The ice was a little werid. They take care of the ice by hand, no zambonie
As someone who takes lessons at this ice rink, I was fully excited to start practicing what I’ve learned in class and what I’ve been personally learning in my own free time during the free public session that came with my lessons. Unfortunately, I was shocked to find out that it is not allowed, even though there is a coned area in the middle of the rink that was supposedly meant for figure skaters. The fact that skaters have been told in the past couple of weeks that they can no longer attempt simple things like a spin, is absolutely atrocious. If there is a spot in the middle specifically coned off and designated for figure skaters, why can none of them practice? I have seen hockey skaters jump and do their own tricks at the rink and not get scolded, but every time I see a specific group of figure skaters try simple tricks they are scolded in a disrespectful manner. On top of that, lessons are extremely expensive and do not really teach more than some skaters already know/could learn online in shorts amount of time. My parents paid over 120$ to join the rink for lessons, and then a continuous 85+ a month to keep the lessons. And that is not even for personal lessons, its for group lessons. In my time at this rink I have only been able to afford the freeskate time offered by the First Coast Skating Academy once, and even then it was not quality time spent on the ice. For the 15$ I paid, I only got about 30 minutes on this disgustingly rust dripped ice, rust was dripping off of the ceiling and onto the ice, and the ice was in tough shape. I was barely able to do a two foot spin. The ice was not clean and it was very clear other individuals had skated on the ice before me. Another thing to be reminded of is how dirty the rink is kept. The bathrooms have stalls that are out of order constantly, the skates to rent for skaters without their own skates are disgusting and can seriously injure your ankles. I cannot count the amount of times I have seen little kids in rented skates with their ankles bent inwards in a dangerous manner. One more thing to be reminded of is the areas indoors around the rink. In the past month or so, every time I walk into the indoor areas around the rink I have been met with more than 50 maskless individuals who are visibly drunk and are not following safety guidelines. Its absolutely disappointing to see.
Its a good place for my son to learn how to ice skate. They have all kinds of sports for everyone
We have 4 kids and we always have a great time here. Plus the birthday party packages are super awesome and cost effective.
There was this really awkward guard rale that I fell into and some how managed to knock it over. It had sharp edges and I thought I was gonna get hurt. Please take that thing away. Other than that, its a great place!!
My kids love this place! Worth it.
Its great place for kids activity and sport also ice skating
We had a great time at the Repitcon there. Lots of exotic pets.
Hockey in Florida. It doesn’t get any better than that.
Was very excited to go only to be disappointed by the terrible ice skates provided. They were old and provided no support. I switched 3 times and all 3 pairs were just as bad.
Now sponsored by Community First and is now The Igloo.
Simultaneous basketball games, all age groups, good fun!
The combat night MMA event there was awesome. I do wish they were a little cleaner their bathroom was dirty but I still give them 4 stars because of combatnight.
First time going today, the ice rink was funhowever I have more negative than positive things to say. the area outside (the loony is guess You’d call it?) is EXTREMELY dirty! The floors had trash and dirt everywhere. The walls are nasty, dirt on the walls. There is no hand sanitizer or any sanitation products. especially considering Covid. Need a DEEP DEEP clean. The bathrooms are super nasty too. I couldn’t even let me kids use them. They need to remodel and get new skates. The skates They gave me had holes in them and were broken inside. The kids tickets are just as much as adults plus I had to pay extra for my youngest and he’s 4.Food is disgusting
No one helps you out on that ice skating rink and when someone who tries helping a 12 year old they say get out because you dont have any skates on but then wont help the kid themselves. The service sucks very much. I dont recommend this place to anyone.
It was nice. Prices are $15 including skate rental, and during the morning skates there are hardly ever people there
Alot of fun for a date night but definitely remember why I stopped skating dang ankles hurt. If you are 30+ remember you arent a teen anymore
The Sportplex was not built to host basketball tournaments at all.
There’s a hole in my foot from the ice skates
I wish I could give this place no stars. My son has played many basketball games here, and everytime we come, its the worst experience. The floor is warped, the basketball hoops are jacked up. The referees they get have no clue about the rules, or they just like to favor certain teams. I have no clue as to how they allow for any games to be played and dont get closed.
This place is in need of major remodeling .What a dump.
Great place to ice skate ⛸.
I fell twice, good ice though
Very easy to locate and travel to. Parking is great. Good place to hold an event.
Had a great time 😊
First time going ice skating!!! I loved it!!! Not so crowded, enough room to learn, definitely will be coming back!!!
They had a repticon show & it was alsome, Ive never been so it was a good experience !!
Great coaches and nice rink smooth ice often and have been going there since I was 4 very nice
Such great service! Especially Seth who was super friendly and helpful getting my skates!
Great place for Repticon. Convenient location!
The employees were all very nice, good prices & music. Ice was well Maintained and all the kids had newer skates from there as well. We went during Christmas break so, it was packed with families of all ages.
Been going there for years. They could make it much nicer. Go Jax Jets!
It is great fun
Many things to do here great for kids of all ages
I went here to watch an MMA card. A riot between two opposing fight camps broke out and moved into the crowd. Security sprayed pepper spray and it affected the remaining fights. Good times.
Fun skating and fast service
Me and my family love ice skating, and out of the whole are I think this place is the best. Especially the prices. We went there for my birthday 2 years ago, the staff was really nice. And the ice quality is very good since they clean it every hour. But personally I think the quality of the ice skates kind of lacks. But all in all I love it.
A great ice rink and sports complex and nice staff and snack shack and arcade games
Needs a lot of maintenance. You can tell they dont put much into upkeep.
Great ice. Public skating from 10:00AM until noon is almost like private ice time.Friendly skaters, a perfect place to get back your skills from yesteryear!
Last 2 years we play every Saturday in this facility and 2 weeks ago we got situation with soccer filed organization. After we gave some feedback about that. The organizer hinted that we couldnt play any more if we complained about this issue, which was irrelevant. We left a public comment and review the points you deem necessary. in response, they conveyed that we could not play in this field again. What a successful communication method is it? Unfortunately, even if the organization is ostensibly in this poor quality place, I wont play after that
I have been here quite a few times and my kids love it and I will be bringing my son for his birthday because that’s what he likes however on the downside the place is filthy and needs a serious overhaul I think they should give some of their profits back to the customers by way of a clean and nice building on the inside. If there was any other place that does ice skating we would have been there but I haven’t found one yet. Otherwise the kids love it so unless the owners actually care about the looks and cleanliness of it we just have to deal with what we got.
Skates arent the best, but the rink itself is pretty good. Could use resurfacing more often.
