I was extremely excited to be called in for an interview. This would of been a new chapter for me in life after being let go from a previous company in March of 2020 due to covid19. Since I was with my family back home I needed to catch a flight/train back to Jacksonville for this interview. So I did; expeditiously.Little did I know I would feel discriminated on and be wrongfully accused.After going through the entire hiring process including a drug screen, background check, DOT physical, 2 1/2 hour meeting and 2 step interview I was called after texting a worker from the Logistics team and told I failed my background test and that they wouldn’t be moving forward. I was appalled because I never failed a background test so I asked what was the reason and she told me that I’d done property damage to someone’s vehicle and they can’t hire me!I laughed honestly because I thought she was joking.I never caused damage to anything in life but my own life as an adolescent lol-that was a me being a kid, but as a seasoned God fearing Woman! Never- and especially not property. Aren’t there jails for those type of people ! Ugh.Any who, I told her that I filed a police report back in March of 2020 when a Strange woman and her children threw objects at my car causing nicks and scratches because she was apparently having a bad day on the roadway. Can you believe that this logistics team told me that because I damaged the vehicle (I did not) that FedEX (whom they deliver for)Will not hire me. My face grew ugly- How is that even fair?I felt like someone really was praying for my downfall. Not only was I already suffering hardship due to covid19 but now I was being denied a position that I applied for ONLY because I met all requirements and planned to deliver nothing but Excellent work ethic for them and myself. I wanted to post this to say to someone that God will never lead you to your last destination- you will. Don’t allow the devil to use you just because he uses others. When someone says No keep striving til someone says yes! Do not give up! But be mindful that some closed doors are Gods protection. Even if the young lady worded her sentence wrong and really meant to say that I won’t be hired due to pressing charges on someone it still doesn’t sit well in spirit because that is blatantly unfair and discriminatory. By no means did the company give me any inclination that they weren’t supportive and legit because they talked the talk and walked the walk per say. Meaning-they reached out to me, went over and beyond with customer service but failed to help me and left me out in the cold sort of speak, when I’d informed the woman that I was the victim in a property damage incident and how should I appeal.She said “honestly If it were me I’d contact the DMV” ... ....(hold up...lol, whet!🤣😂🤣😂)By no means does the team there seem like bad people at all!I just have a sense of humor. Seems like a great group of southern style hospitality type of people.It’s really disheartening to meet people that get your adrenaline rushing and then They step on your neck.I have perseverance so by no means did they stop me but it opened my eyes and heightened my awareness.People will ONLY treat you how you allow them to. There were a few red flags that I won’t mention due to it being intuition/energy and you all might not be ready for that but I will move accordingly.Beware that if you apply to this job you better not have ever had any incidents of being a victim ever in your life, if so you may not get the job. During these hard times just be prepared for the unexpected and know that God will never take something from you without replacing it with something greater! There was a lesson in this for me and a testimony for you! Be safe Greats!
