Im a community manager in Jacksonville and Advanced Disposal thought this (see pictures) was an acceptable way to leave our compactor area. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Complete lack of communication and complete lack of regard for their customer.

If there is one waste removal company that gets minus points, and no star rating, it is Advanced Disposal. In spite of a contract to pick up trash twice from our Hotel, they provided only ONE pick-up in 17 days. Waste was visible from the street. Today is Thursday, and we have had no service which was due on Monday.

I called Advanced Disposals customer service number located on their receptacle on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 and was told that they were sorry that nobody had been out to AT&T/Starbucks on the corner of Kingsley and US17 to dispose of our trash and recycling. They assured me that someone would be out the following day. I called again on Friday, September 14, 2018 and was told that their driver was behind schedule and would be out that day or the following day at the latest. Neither the trash nor recycling has been picked up. I will now be calling the city and reporting them for failure to deliver services. You would be foolish to ever consider using this company.

They have no accountability for their commercial waste and recycling pickup of drivers. We have to call them every week for the past 4 months to pickup our recycling but it still takes two weeks to get a pickup. Nobody ever calls you back to address our complaints either. Worst trash company to deal with And will be switching soon

This place is a joke! We get charged for 3 pick up days a week but they only show up when they feel like it. Trash falls out of their truck on our dock. We get charged random fees every other month. They broke their own lid off and it took 15 phone calls and 2 months to get it fixed. DO NOT USE THEM!

If I could give no stars, I would. Travis Taylor was my sales rep and I had absolutely no communication from him. I had to constantly follow up with what was going on, as he was not contacting me in a timely fashion. It took two weeks of terrible communication to get a dumpster, and it didnt even come on the date that he said it would, and I even provided my phone number so that they could let me know when they would be arriving. When the delivery did not happen, I called Advanced Disposal directly and I told the lady I wanted to cancel my agreement because I was unhappy with the services that were provided. She told me that I would be contacted within 48 hours by my rep. Instead, the dumpster was delivered the next morning (as if I would not have noticed), and the rep is defending himself saying everything that he did was correct and that you all signed the agreement.GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY

Spoke to over 5 different reps over the past few couple months and never able to get hold of a manager. Provided 2 different emails because that was the only option and both emails get returned as invalid email. I was not notified of a past due balance due to credit card number change and received numerous charges. Ive paid the balance off each month and keep getting extra fees. Very frustrating and at this point would love to cancel but im on a 5 yr contract and never able to speak with a mgr. Ill be reporting to the better business bureau.

My bill is paid monthly with an automatic charge to my credit card. Beginning in January of this year, Advance raised my monthly charge from my contracted price of $64.00 per month to $109.00. Thats a 58% increase. They gave me no written notice of the increase, other than a fine-print notice on the electronic invoice sent by email that month. When I noticed the increase a few months later I called them about it. They said that my auto-payment of the 1st invoice that showed the price increase, was my conscent to the price increase. This practice is sneaky, disepetive, and un-ethical. When I complained, the refered me to the fine-print in my contract.Do not do business with such a dishonest and un-ethical company.

Unfortunately, I have to deal with this company on a regular basis. The best word to describe them would be consistent - consistently awful. Routinely missing pick up days, then attempting to charge when requesting that the driver come out to pick up the trash he decided to skip out on. I have called this company more times than I can count, asking to change our pick up day, asking to change our pick up time, anything at all. Nothing has changed. Honestly amazed that they are still in business.

These people are the WORST people that I have ever dealt with!! They miss picking up my dumpster AT LEAST once a month. Then I spend AT LEAST 3-4 hours of my time on the telephone monthly trying to get credit back from them for the missed pickup. They are a joke!! I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. This has been going on for over a year now and trying to get someone with authority to call me back so that we can discuss my account is virtually IMPOSSIBLE!

They never pick up on time and its impossible to get your rep on the phone. Once you get a rep, they quit after a week due to how disorganized the business is. Please do yourself a favor and do not use them. You dont get what you pay for.

This company is the worst. I have dealt with them with the previous company I worked for and my personal commercial property. Trash pickup is missed frequently and they are not responsive when requesting contact and or recovery. Apparently they dont read their Google reviews and there must not be enough competition in the waste industry in Jacksonville or they would be out of business. The only thing worse than the service with our Advanced Disposal account in Ocala was their Customer Service Department, however, I couldnt ask for better service w/ our Jacksonville commercial dumpster account. They are dependable, timely, and when I speak to the the driver he is always cordial. They get an A+ in my book.

My account was with N. Fl Waste management which was purchased from AD. So I did not seek them out to do business.These people are without a doubt the most corrupt, dishonest and immoral group of people I have ever done business with and this includes their pompous CEO Burke. Run from these people and go to a business such as Meridian Waste which is operated by honest and moral people. It all starts at the top.

Our company had good service with Advanced until our account manager left to work elsewhere. Our current account manager has given zero customer service. We canceled our contract effective June 2017. I called on June 2, 2017 to confirm removal of the current containers on a specific date. Today is the day to have our new company deliver containers and the 40 yard container is still on our lot. No surprise.

I have had nothing but problems with Advanced Disposal. I think they want to lose their customers. If you were to look at the number of times Ive had to contact them it would look like a book. Our pick up date is on Thursday and here it is Monday and they still have not emptied the dumpster. I even called & emailed them on Thursday and they said they would empty it on Friday morning. Friday I was off and on Monday it was still not emptied. I went to the office and was told to give them a few hours and its closing time for both of us and it still isnt dumped. I just went through this January 18, 2018. Lately they dont even answer the phone. They want you to leave a message and they will call you back. I went with them because they were lower in price....but as they say, you get what you pay for.

This company put large dumpsters in front of a building where the mailman needs to deliver almost 500 deliveries. Very difficult to maneuver around the dumpster to get to the building. Add insult to injury, they parked it right where handicap customers get out to check their mail. Went back today, and a second dumpster was placed in the same area making it more difficult to access the area. The apt manager has been on the phone with them for 3 days trying to get them to move them. They have no consideration for others.

One star is to many but If your looking for an incompetent company that will pick up your trash when and if they feel like it look no further these are your guys! Talk about customer “NO SERVICE”” I literally called this company 10 times and talked to at least 5 different people to find out why they we not picking up the trash as agreed. I was told numerous time that someone would call me back. Well they never did. I finally had had it and drove 45min to their offices. When I got there, they tried to tell me they would have somebody called me. I told them I was not leaving until I talked to somebody. They final got this Lowrance character to talk to me. He assured me he would get things fixed. A month later things are as bad as they have ever been. I had finally had it with their lame excuses and lack of anything resembling service. I told Lowrance this is BS, what do I need to do to get you guys to do your job. This was his response and I quote “Im done dealing with you, you have s very disrespectful way to talk to ppl, Im a grown man and I dont have to put up with your ignorance. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! If I could, I would give them zero stars. We had a contract with them to provide services to our office, and there was not a week since January that we didnt have to call because the trucks never showed up to pick up trash as scheduled. In February, we went 3 weeks with dumpsters completely full; every time we called, we had to be 2-3 hrs on hold, until somebody finally responded. They used every excuse on the book: new driver, something blocking the dumpsters, locked gate.... all of these (except new driver), were lie after lie, since we would have seen the trucks coming in the yard through the windows and they never did. Also, even if there was 1 car in its way, isnt it just easier to honk or get out of the truck, than to just leave??? We got tired of having to call them every single week, and still not getting trash picked up, and we got a new provider. The most unbelieavable thing is that Advanced Disposal says that we cannot cancel the Contract because it has a 3 year term... incredible when they have been the first ones to breach the contract week after week, not providing the services!!!!! Do yourself a favor and stay away from them. When we finally got to talk to somebody (we had to come in person to this location, since we were not getting answers over the phone nor over the email), we only got attitude back, and we were even blamed for not letting the Front Load Supervisor know before. I am sorry if we didnt know that you existed, and that we only contacted the customer service phone, every other phone/email listed in your website and invoices, and our sales person. Clearly, Advanced Disposal has to modify their internal process if the Supervisor is not notified after a Customer calls 5 times every week, requesting to speak to a Supervisor because their problem is not solved.

Terrible service!! Absolutely the worst dumpster rental I have ever had. They were suppose to call me before they delivered the dumpster so I would be present. The driver called me after he dropped the dumpster off. He left it on the curb and halfway onto the driveway so I couldnt pull into the gate. I called and called to get another driver out to move the dumpster back into the driveway before people started dumping stuff in it. This was on a Monday. They scheduled a driver to come move it on that Friday of that week. They never showed nor did they call. I got back to the site on Mondayorning and the dumpster was still on the curb and now its half full with someone elses junk. Non of my debris is in there. I called and they said I was on the schedule to for that same Monday. No one ever showed up nor did they call when I was told I would be called and given an eta. Today is Tuesday. I got to the site and the dumpster is still on the curb. I called and took forever to get someone on the phone and they told me they had me on the schedule today. I guess well see what happens. Also its impossible to get a supervisor on the phone to talk to them. I dont know what they are going to do about all the junk in there thats not my debris. I will definitely not be paying for this as its their negligence. My next step will be the Better Business Bureau. This is just a completely unprofessional place. My advice is to find someone/anyone other than advanced disposal.

RUN THE OTHER WAY!! This is the worst run company in Jacksonville. Good luck getting a real human being to call you back. If you are lucky enough to actually get a hold of a person they are arrogant, rude and have NO concept of customer service! Then to add salt to the whole experience they are the most expensive waste company around. Do yourself a favor and spend 5 minutes to find another company. I found one that offers value, is courteous and has integrity. I am so glad I am rid of Advanced!!!

Awful company fortunately I dont have to deal with them,but the place I work for does they are always late our dumpsters at work are always overflowing and our poor maintenance guy is always having to call them. Advanced Disposal required us to get a dumpster for the animal shelter, so we did. they placed it too far up under trees, so wouldnt come handle it for 3 weeks. finally came out and moved it closer to the entry gate, and then didnt pick up for a month because suddenly they couldnt maneuver into the drive due to the mail box (tho theyd had no problem for a couple of months with that). so we moved the mailbox and all was good for a few months, and then didnt pick up, or notify us, because we had boards sticking out of the top to the side. There is no good communication with them --they dont tell us what they like and dont like and it was pulling teeth to get credited for the no-pick up weeks. Not too happy with them, but the driver, that first came out and coordinated the pick up was super.

This company services Conventry at Oakleaf Plantation condos. They have received several complaints by management and residents of their lack of service. They haven’t picked up the trash in over two weeks. They continue to say they will come out and don’t. Do to their lack of service and professionalism we have an abundance of over flow and trash is going into our lawns and streets. This is disgusting and ridiculous. I don’t know why they’re still in business. I will report them also to the city.

Im reviewing from Stone World Importers, The service is so poorly managed, That the trash truck gets here after business hours and is unable to collect the garbage. So we continually wait for the garbage man. The trouble starts when I try to contact Advance Disposal. And they have a system setup were nobody answer the phone. My last 6 calls I had to wait at least 25 min to talk to someone. (Amber, Kimberly, Patricia, ) NOBODY CAN SOLVE MY PROBLEM!!!! Here it is March and I havent seen them since but they are billing me for every month through this month. And now trying to charge off my account and say that I owe them $482 for services I did not receive. I dont think so. I want to sue the crap out of these people.

When most of your customers are commercial accounts and business owners themselves you should take notice when so many of us make the effort to provide negative feedback. I don’t know that I’ve ever worked with a company that is so poorly managed. Are there no checks and balances in place for your drivers and dispatch? You never fail to bill me every month but I have to call almost every week to get my dumpster emptied because your driver skips us. When I call I get excuses and empty promises that they will be there. I usually have to call twice and I’m on hold for 10+ minutes every time.

Terrible service. I have a weekly dumpster service which I pay every week. Its being emptied on average only every second week. Complaints are useless. If I call the next day, customer service promises to schedule it for the next day but that never happens. If Im lucky its being emptied the next week when Im anyway scheduled. Stay away.

Our company used Advance Disposal several years ago. Decided to try them again. I should have learned my lesson the first time. I have sent them two cancellation letters via certified mail with a return receipt. I have called several times. I have even sent emails. Our contract is up on October 15, 2019. They billed me for a full month. This should be prorated. Were not even using their 4 yard dumpster any longer. Dont waste your time with this company. The truly bad thing is, Waste Management is supposed to acquire Advance Disposal. Thats who we left for another try with Advance. They dont deserve even 1 star.

Ive been fighting with these people for years. I am a tenant at a business and have no choice in who the property manager uses. Id have fired these yokels years ago. You pay for x number of days pickup per week, and they scam pickups by not showing up when they are supposed to. You call and they tell you what ever you want to hear and nothing gets fixed. They dont come and get your trash. We pay for two pick ups a week, we havent seen them in two weeks. You call, Someone will be there today they tell you. What a crock of cow dung. True waste mismanagement is wasting your money on these people. They suck. If you have a choice, get another Waste Management company. NOT Advanced Disposal. A quick look at the BBB will show you they have an F rating in Jacksonville.

Here is a letter that I am trying to email to the President of the company. I called the corporate number but no one would share me with his email. Therefore, I decided to post it here.Dear Mr. Burke,My name is xxxxxxxxx and I own a small apartment building at Jacksonville, FL 32210.I have been your company’s client since the time I purchased the property a year ago. I have called many times to change the owner’s name to my company name and although each time they promised, they never changed it. They continue to bill the previous owner, thus I never received a bill.When the services were finally stopped, I called again and told them what was happening. They took the balance amount, but continued to bill the previous owner. At one point the previous owner and I made a conference call to Advanced Disposal and they apologized and told us about some corporate bureaucracy.To my surprise, I did not get the bill again and the service was again disrupted. I finally gave up and asked them to charge my account regardless of whose name the account was. In the meantime, they charged me several times for account suspension.Since I gave them a mean to automatically charge the bill, I assumed everything was going well. However, I was surprised to see that my January bill was $1,260 dollars. When I called Advanced Disposal, no one seemed to know what is going on and they said that someone will call me back. I called every week since then and the answer was always the same. Yesterday, I spent 51 minutes just to talk to one person. She told me that the additional fee is for the bulk items that were picked up from the apartment building and I am only allowed for 12 bulk items in a month.I have explained to her that at any point there were never more than 9 items in front of my apartment and the entire population of the tenants is willing to vouch for that matter. The items in question were there since November and when my manager called Advanced Disposal, they told him that I have to call and ask for a pickup. Subsequently, I called. When they came in January and picked up the items, there were 9 pieces of bulk items (I usually have one or two pieces per month).After the conversation, she transferred me to another and another and finally I reached the collections department.At that time, I disconnected and called again, demanding to speak to a Manager. Nobody seemed to know if there is a manager and advised that I speak to Sales Rep Mr. ------- at ------------. All I got was his voice mail. I have been leaving messages since yesterday and haven’t even received an acknowledgment so far.In the meantime, I went through the bills and found out several discrepancies in the past. I have an 8ft dumpster with a once a week pick up. Attached is what I have been paying Advanced Disposal as of today.I do believe that your business is using illegal and unethical practice to make money, and I demand that all the money illegally collected from me is returned. I also expect an apology for the horrendous treatment I received from your company.Regards

I really cannot emphasize how unhappy I am with this service. I ordered a single cardboard only container for my retail store. It took nearly two weeks of asking where it was, and being told it will be there today, before I received the container. I was told I would receive additional pick ups in my first few weeks to make up for the inconvenience. It was been over a week and I have not had a single pick up. I know they are on the cheaper end of waste disposal, but avoid them if you can.

If you are a business, do not sign any Advanced Disposal contracts. Your monthly bill will sky rocket and its like pulling teeth to get out of the contract with the local sales team. Heres my experience: Advanced Disposal allowed a non-officer of the company to sign a 5 year contract (unknown to management at the time) that permitted AD to increase fees to whatever amount they wanted each month over the 5 years. My current bill for 1 small dumpster is over $300. Upon the cancellation attempt, we were told that the contract automatically renews after the 5 years at the current billing rate which is over $300 a month. I had to provide a certified letter and 60 days’ notice to cancel (all while paying $300 a month) and agree to pay the average of the last 6 months invoices TIMES 6!!! Thats over $1800 to get out of a contract that automatically renewed after the 5 years. I was told that I could try to hire an attorney to battle their dishonest business practices but that I would lose and pay their attorney’s fees in the end. Instead I will pay the fee they are charging a local, family-owned, small business and hope to change others’ lives by sharing their shady business practices on social media. I hope I saved you from getting into a binding contract with AD, today. Again, do not use this deceptive company for your dumpster needs.

I wish I didnt even have to leave 1 Star. This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with it. Their customer service is HORRIBLE. The supervisors are worse. I literally have a problem every other week with my service, but yet am told that I can not break my contract because Im locked in for 5 years. Delivered a 20 yard dumpster when we had asked for a 30 yard. Had to call 5 times asking for them to replace it which they still didnt. Instead they emptied the 20 yard and brought it back. We called them to dump the 20 yard again, they said it would be done that day. Three days and several phone calls later and they still have not come.

This company is a JOKE! I have never seen such unprofessional service. We signed a contract, they continually skipped our pick up. When I say continually, several weeks in a row. Then when they did show up, they whined about what was in the can, what size boxes were in there, even though they were broken down flat, etc, etc, etc....When I attempted to correspond, it was excuse after excuse. When I was finally able to cancel the contract, they were supposed to come pick up their cans that week. That was in July of 2015. They just finally showed up wanting their cans today, 2/16/16. Consistently miss pick-ups, and reschedule for the following week, non responsive to customers, and when confronted with issues, pass the blame within their company. Worst part, they require a contract, which penalizes you for leaving them, due to their incompetence. They are what they surround themselves with, garbage.

Bad experience for the past month with no pick up. I have to call 16 times per week to get them to pick up only one time which they suppose to pick up twice a week! So disappointed and I dont recommend them. If I can do zero star, I will give them no star!!!!!

I work for a property and beware this company is unprofessional unloyal and do not pick up your trash weekly or bulk items and every time they come up with am excuse its not our regular dispatcher and ? You should have a plan B then abide by the contract give us credits for your mistakes ! This is ridiculous the city gets onto us for the trash mess but its their fault not ours !
