10/10 recommend! From the moment I called the office, I knew this would be a good experience! The receptionist that I spoke to took the time to ask me questions and got me on the schedule quickly. On the day of my appointment, as soon as walked in to the building I was greeted. Both ladies at the desk were polite and made me feel welcome. Ofelia, the Dental Assistant, came to the waiting room to get me and was an absolute delight from the second I met her. She made me feel very comfortable and explained everything before and while taking x-rays and doing the cancer screening. Dr. Futrell, came in as soon as Ofelia was complete. He introduced himself and spoke to me about his practice, his values and asked me about myself and my concerns. He went over every photo/x-ray with me and explained what he saw and what he thought. He was very pleasant and down to Earth. A treatment plan was made and they went over everything in detailed. I have been to dentists before who rush, push unnecessary things on you and do not listen to your concerns; I did not feel like this at all today. I left the office feeling good about the entire experience!

Dr.Futrell is amazing no exaggeration, he will give it to you straight and he will try and do all he can before the last resort. I will recommend him to anyone. I felt no judgment and I felt real comfortable, my experience was great and I’m glad I gave them a try.

The best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist or any doctor.First visit, they scheduled an hour and a half for X-rays and to talk to me. At first it seemed excessive, like they were going to sell me a car. Later during the visit I really enjoyed it. We laughed several times, they taught me stuff I hadn’t learned from other dentist and I took home some new healthier teeth habits.Second visit they cleaned my teeth. It hurt more than normal but, my teeth had never felt so clean. Lots of laughs that visit as well.Third visit the gave me a filling, and for some reason I didn’t feel a thing. The dentist and assistant worked great together. I couldn’t find any flaws with this office if I tried.

My family have been patients since my 24 year old twins were 5 years old. Always professional,friendly and helpful. Treat you like family. Today they went above and beyond for my 86 year old mother. She is having health challenges and needs clearance for surgery asap. She also has some financial challenges. Dr.Futrell and his staff went above and beyond. I have been going to Futrell and Reese Family Dentistry since 2015. I had to stop sometime 2016 because of my insurance but I went back and even recommended it to my husband. My husband is a Marine Corps. Veteran and has PTSD, he gets anxious meeting new people and going to new places but that has changed. Both of us see Dr. Futrell and Ms. Emily regularly now and we love them! When you walk inside the clinic, you will see Ms. Mona and Ms. Pam greeting you with a smile. It is very clean and organized. Ms. Heather and the rest of the staff are very friendly. I love that Ms. Emily takes time doing what she does best, shes gentle, caring and knowledgeable. I love that Dr. Futrell is thorough and explains every procedure needed. They always make sure that both of us are comfortable and get the best quality of care. Thank you! :)

I came to this dental office because it had been highly recommended to me and had great reviews. I am not the type to write emotional and angry reviews, but I feel the need to share my experience because it was ENTIRELY different than what everyone else has said.I did not have a good experience with Dr. Futrell. He spent most of my visits telling me about his own dental accomplishments and personal opinions, hardly giving me a chance to speak. When I had continued issues from the care he gave me (had a crown put in) he did not take the time to listen to what I was saying, minimized my concerns, and simply could not figure out what was causing my pain which basically made me feel like I was the problem. I felt belittled whenever i spoke to Dr. Futrell, as if I was being irrationally emotional about my constant pain and not being heard. He also gave me a filling with dental amalgam (silver fillings that have mercury) and gave a long explanation of why this was the best option without mentioning any of the potential harm. Now, a year later, I have visited a new dentist who has suggested a solution to my pain that Dr. Futrell never seemed to consider. This new dentist also told me that he hasn’t used dental amalgam in 35 years because of its dangers.The rest of the staff at this office was friendly and pleasant to work with. I truly don’t understand why this dentist has such raving reviews when I consider my own experience.

Dr. Futrell and his staff are very kind and professional. Their office is very comfortable and clean, from the waiting rooms to the bathrooms to the dental chairs. And, most importantly, they do great work. They do a wonderful job with my kids, taking the time to explain in advance all that they will be doing throughout the appointments so that the kids won’t be frightened. My kids actually love going to the dentist! Lastly, I think it is worth noting that my family and I have been going here for years, and they have NEVER once run late for any of our appointments. As usual, Dr. Futrell and staff provided the greatest dental experience today. His staff are true professionals that take extreme care to ensure you are relaxed and comfortable. The technician did a wonderful job of taking x-rays, cleaning my teeth, and conducting an exam before Dr. Futrell did the final exam. When Dr. Futrell comes in he greats you by name and you know he generally cares about his patients. He is very thorough with conducting the exam. He does not make anything up to make money! They start seeing children at 3 years old and they explain everything to them and in a way they can understand. My kids and I love going there. Doctor Futrell is an amazing dentist. My first visit in his office was very personal and pleasant. The dentist sat next to me as he checked my teeth. My family and I have been a patient at Futrell & Reese since summer 2005. We have always received the most wonderful care and support. If it was for our regular cleanings, or my daughter needing teeth pulled. I myself was very hesitant about going to the Dentist after my truck accident. I crushed eight teeth, and I was very pleased that at my first appointment. Dr. Futrell said, we can fix this, no problem, and laid out a plan of action. The staff got my appointment all set up for me, and I was on the way to recovery. I was relived once it was a done, wished I had went sooner. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. My family has had many challenges while here including primary language of Japanese, autistic child and lots of dental care required for my wife. The staff here helped us through every step, even having to get emergency care in a different state while on vacation. Always made us feel at home and very comforting to the kids.

When you enter the building you feel like family. Amanda is my dental hygienist and is a wonderful lady. She remembers what is going on in you life between cleanings (6 months) and makes sure to ask you about it. Amazing dental office!

Dr. Futrell is the best. He really takes the time to get to know people. We spent a good half hour or more during my first appointment talking about sports and NC State. Then when I came in for my first cleaning all of the staff was super nice and did an amazing job at fixing 2 years worth of buildup. I highly recommend Dr. Futrell.

I really wish I could give a ten star rating to these folks! Ive been meaning to write this review for a year or so and a more recent interaction with Dr. Futrell and his staff spurred me to write a review. About a year ago, my 88 year old mother, who suffers from dementia, was having a problem with her dentures. I called the office and explained my situation to Mona: that bringing mom to the office was not an option for me because of her dementia and mobility problems. Even though Im sure that standard operating procedure is to actually see a patient before working on their dentures, Mona listened to my story, consulted with Dr. Futrell, and asked me to bring the dentures into the office. They could not have been more understanding or more helpful. I had moms dentures back in a day and they looked good as new. Today, a year later, I walk into their office with a new issue--mom had a hard fall last week and broke her upper plate. Mona remembered me! And Dr. Futrell came out and gave his condolences. They took the plate and I should have it back in a day or two. I cant thank these folks enough for not only being good at their jobs but for being good and decent people who listen to their customers needs and respond with professionalism and compassion.

I had major tooth pain over the weekend. Dr. Futrell saw me on a Saturday and scheduled me for an emergency root canal first thing Monday morning. The root canal was quick and the pain was instantly relieved. My family has been going here for 9 years. It is a great place for routine and more complicated procedures.

I have been taking my kids here since 2014. They love the office and are not afraid of going to the dentist. Everyone is friendly including front desk staff. My kids especially love their hygenist. They are routine and predictable which makes the kids feel more comfortable. My son whom is sensory sensitive even loves its. They let the kids pick out prizes which is a plus.

I have been to two appointments so far and I absolutely love this office and Dr Futrell aka call me Steve. Staff is very friendly and the office is clean. First impressions at a dentist are a big deal for anyone, I give 5 stars! I needed a tooth in the front fixed and now I cant stop smiling!! They also are very accommodating to your needs as I am 37 weeks pregnant and they made sure I was comfortable the entire time! Its not all the time someone looks forward to going to the dentist but I have no fear in going back for my next appointment and looking forward to it!

Great service. But if you’re concerned about something go with your gut and don’t take no or maybe or possibly or the ‘I’m sure it will be fine’ for an answer. Someone did that to us and it almost cost my daughter her tooth and it growing back.

Being someone that hasn’t been to the dentist in quite a few years, I was petrified! But Dr. Reese and his staff were so kind! Thank you guys so much !

I am forever thankful to have been referred to Dr. Futrell over 4 years ago when I needed crowns. Incredible staff, absolutely love coming to this office. Prior to being a patient of this office I was very uncomfortable at the dentist. Here they are so friendly and reassuring, I truly enjoy going now!

Nice dentist, less than compassionate staff. Good prices, but their lack of empathy and understanding has made me look elsewhere for yet another dentist in this ridiculous town where youre viewed as just another patient. If I cant feel warm and welcomed IM NOT GOING. Unfortunately, this was NOT that place.

I started all my kiddos at 4 to the dentist and their experience at Futrell & Reese Family Dentistry has paved the way to a comfortable and exciting experience at the dentist! Dr. Reese is a great dentist. He is very careful, thorough, and does excellent work. His office is friendly and he stays on schedule. I’ve always had an a good experience with Dr. Reese and his staff.

They are the kindest most fun loving group of people I know! I will highly recommend them to everyone!! They are personable, easy to get along with and always in a great mood!!

The office staff is very polite, friendly, and professional. Dr. Reese is great--fixed the three cavities I had 6 months ago, and I havent had any issues. Futrell & Reese is certainly an excellent choice if you are looking for a family dentistry.

I love this dentist! I use to be fearful of the dentist, not now.The dentist and staff are friendly and caring.Dr. Futrell sings/hums while hes doing his work,its great! :) I highly recommend them.Dont look any further...this is where you need to be seen!!!!!

Theyre so good with kids. They go out of their way to make sure the kids arent afraid of the tools & noises. Shoot... I almost want to jump in the chair!LOL 😄

WONDERFUL! I had a horrible experience before coming here by dentist I wont name. It was like a nightmare. They didnt wait for you to be numb and theyd just go to work. But Dr. Futrell changed all that! Total turn around. Still a bit scared when I go in but they make you feel so comfortable the fear just melts right away.

My son recently had two teeth extracted (first surgery ever) and everything went so smoothly! As always, Dr. Futrell and his crew ensured my son was in good hands. Thank you!

Dr. Futrell came highly recommended to me from my orthodontist in Wilmington about 7 years ago. That orthodontist is one of the best in the state and he spoke very highly of Dr. Futrell and said I should try him to fix the problem I was having because he knew personally how good his work is. I had cavity that was drilled out improperly at my previous dentist and it was causing all sorts of issues for me.That was 7 years ago and I haven’t seen anyone else since. I couldn’t be happier with how thorough, professional, and friendly Dr. Futrell and his entire staff have been.He doesn’t make you feel rushed even though you know he’s very busy. I would recommend him to anyone. If you’re searching for a dentist this is who you need.

Dr. Futrell is the best. His staff is always efficient, kind, and accommodating. One dentist office I dont mind going to on a regular basis. I really appreciate their professionalism.
