Best steak tacos in town. Good prices and delicious food. Staff takes pride in their family owned restaurant. I highly recommend.

Enjoyed the dinner with my family. A little drab looking but I didn’t go there for the atmosphere. Everything was well seasoned and tasted great.

After searching Google for Salvadorian pupusas and seeing that this restaurant had received 4.4 stars, my husband and I decided to stop in since we were in the area. Cute small restaurant upon entering, good music and we were seated right away. I gave them 3 stars is because our server was not at all friendly. He was quick to take our orders but just as quick to take our menus away. I couldnt have ordered dessert even if I wanted to. The restaurant wasnt even busy whatsoever. The only reason I didnt give them just 1 star was because inspite of it all, the food was not only delicious but their prices are great for the amount of food you get.

Rosys is the best little Mexican restaurant in Jax, and I say that all the time! Doesnt matter what you order, the food is always fresh and hot! Prices are very adorable and you will never leave hungry. This is our comfort food at its best! Being from Texas, Im very picky about where I have Mexican food and if you are from there as well, Rosy will not disappoint!!!

Great service. Great salsa. Some of the best rice and beans I have ever had. The fajitas were outstanding. Chips are fresh and hot. The house picked jalapenos are outstanding. This place is a gem. Thank you. AAA+++. The food here is super fresh and delicious. And lucky for me the place is 5 minutes from where I live. Ill be back!! Yummmmmm

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. The tacos are phenomenal, the salsa is great, and they have the best queso I have ever had (and Ive had a lot of queso in my life) I would highly consider trying it. But over all great experience 10/10 would recommend.

Rosys is authentic Mexican food. Their salsa is thick and delicious and the chips are fresh. Rosys boasts Generous portion sizes and the condiments are always fresh. Treat yourself/family/friend and you’ll become a regular. Staff is friendly as well.

My family and I went to Rosy’s tonight for the first time and we were not disappointed to say the least. This place was clean, our waitress Sydney provided excellent service, the food was delicious, and reasonably priced! We will definitely be back!

The food is good, has a little bit of a kick, but not so hot that wimps like me cant eat it. Service is not the greatest, but good enough to live with. Prices are really good. We both had the special listed in the window and pop, with tip our tab was only $25.

The tea is not too sweet just perfect huge drink servings never worry about refill, margaritas were fresh chips and salsa authentic and fresh big bowls salsa.Food is great ! You wont regret it

Worst experience ever and the food was not the same as it was two years ago. I’m pretty sure they got new people cooking back there. There are better restaurants so safe yourself a trip and don’t come to this one . I used to come here and this will be the last time I come . The waitress treated us horribly. Oh and if I could leave a 0 star rating I would .

I ordered 3 pupusas revueltas (mixed) to-go. It was around 1pm when I got there and they were pretty busy. Waitress took my order and I got it in 10 minutes. Great music. Overall great environment to had a pleasant meal.

This place is tucked away, and difficult to see currently as the plaza is remodeling their facade. But it is delicious, reasonably priced, and the staff is very friendly. I try to stop in whenever Im working in the area and it is the best Mexican food in town as far as Im concerned.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! My family has been here before but will never go back. A friend’s order was incorrect and the waitress was so rude, blaming my friend for the mishap, that we walked out. I’m not a Karen but her behavior was not remotely acceptable.

I have been here on 4 occasions and the food, compared to other nearby Mexican restaurants, just isnt as good. Its very average, which would be ok, but accompanied by the often very slow service and slow kitchen turnout time just isnt good enough. Our most recent visit was this past Sunday. They were not especially busy and yet we waited 15 minutes to be asked our drinks, to which we also asked to order as we had already been looking at the menus for said 15 minutes. Then we waited another 10 minutes untill we received our chips and salsa. 10 minutes later our cheese dip arrived, to an empty basket of chips. 10 minutes later our replacement chips arrived and we ask for drink refills as our drinks have been empty for a while. By now we are 45 minutes into our visit and food has not arrived. We wait another 15 minutes for our food, its been an hour. We ask for boxes as we dont have time to eat because have to meet someone and did not expect to wait an hour. Later, the food was mediocre. The steak of the fajita was dry and my chicken burrito was more flour burrito folded over itself than actual filling. But as we had to wait to eat them out of a Styrofoam box later that evening it wouldnt be fair to judge them. Needless to say I dont believe we will be back. Ive givin it several tries as its the closest Mexican place by my house but the experience simply isnt good and I dont mind driving the extra 5 minutes for a better experience for the same price.

Great food and great location. Yes they do serve margaritas here. Just an FYI they do put cheese in their tacos. This picture is the premium taco on this menu. Worth the extra money.

Been a few times and always wait an absurdly long time for our food. The special fajitas for two barely had enough fixings for one person. Tonight’s biggest problem was seating; no social distancing. People were being seated directly next to each other. An old man about 4ft across from us was loudly sneezing and hacking without a mask for most of the time we were there. Some customers around us got to move but we had our food at the table so we couldn’t. We just paid as soon as we could and left. Won’t be coming back.

Be advised that restaurant.com sells certificates to Rosys but Rosys wont honor them. I contacted restaurant.com who said Rosys has a contract that requires them to accept them but they refuse. They were very understaffed so the wait to place the order and then to get the food was ridiculously long. Once the food arrived, it was actually quite good and the service got better as people left. If you are short on time, this is not the place.

First time visiting here and really enjoyed the service and the flavor of the food. It just had a bit more oomph than most Mexican restaurants. I had he Grilled Chicken tacos, Chicken Tostada and a side of refried beans. Loved the beans, surprisingly, and these big stinkin avocados on the tacos were a nice addition. The service was very good without any issues. Would definitely come back again and again.

GREAT PLACE TO GET EMXICAN....first Mexican restaurant i have been to (been to 8) that has a decent salsa...thank you. Nothing special about the interior...nothing special about the service... BUT THE FOOD.... had their version of a dish called Carintas.... LARGE pieces of pork (in many places dry) covered in a mild green sauce.... the pork was extremely tender and juicy.... the refried beans had a nice delicate flavor in them ( i think they make theirs with lard: the way it should be done). I cant wait to go back with friends so i can try a bunch of different items....

This was our first time to Rosys. Food was really good. Salsa had a very nice flavor.I ordered the #2 combo with a pork tamale, cheese enchilada, and beef hard shell taco.Not much meat in the tamale but the other two items were good and had nice flavor. Rice and beans were both good. The guacamole was fresh and good.Although the food was good, the service was exceptional. Our waitress was a very pleasant young lady. She was courteous, friendly and professional.I would recommend Rosys for Mexican food.

We go when we can, the food is always wonderful, and the service is almost as good. Thats a joke. We Love Rosys atmosphere, food, and people. We miss a few people that are part of Rosys family, that are no longer at this particular Restaurant. They greet us at the door, or as soon as we are seen, we only had to sit away from our favorite table twice since we started going there, since we met. Enchiladas, and burritos are wonderful, I enjoy the Soft Tacos. However, whatever you get, make sure you try the rice and refried beans!

Ordered a taco salad. Food was very good as well as good portion size. It was my first time at this restaurant. But I must say not one employee had a mask on, so sad to say I will not return. I would think every restaurant should be following these guidelines.

Rosys is a wonderful family-run and relatively authentic Mexican restaurant. Love how convenient they are located to the Beltway/I-295, and how well they serve us. We always consider them whenever we are nearby.

Was driving past so gave it a shot. Pretty standard Mexican food, but in a good way. Seems like a place where the meal would be consistently good every time you went. To me there is just no beating Don Juans (about 5 mins away) but I wouldnt be disappointed to visit again.

My husband and I have eaten here twice now. By far the best, authentic mexian restaurant we have tried. Their menu isnt as elaborate as some of the other places, but its OK because everything we have gotten has been delicious! Best part is that it right by our house! We will continue to dine at Rosys!

Very tasty! Friendly and attentive staff provided good service. Lots of seating. (Only negative is there was very little enchilada sauce on my enchiladas. It took a while to get our meal because it was so busy that I didnt ask for more. I should have because it was so good!)

Rosys has been a family and friends gathering place for over ten years. The staff is fantastic and always attentive, and the prices are very reasonable too. The salsa, queso and the chips are absolutely the best in town...Good luck trying not to fill up on those before dinner! The Pollo Loco, steak tacos, fajitas, grilled chicken burrito, steak burrito, and carnitas pibil are all amazing. We continue to be a raving fan of this great local establishment as they have remained open for take out orders during the pandemic.

5-10 minute wait but they were pretty busy. Great food and the service was good as well. I ordered the nacho supreme for an app, it’s huge! Not a 2 person app but given the name I guess I should have known better. I also had the steak burrito which was fire as well.

Service was a little slow but not to the point where we were being ignored.Have been back once since then and food was just as good as the first time...and this place is not close to our house so thats saying a lot that we drove all the way back out there for their food. Rosys is by far the best Mexican restaurant in Jacksonville. It may look like every other Mexican place, but the dishes are only similar in name. Everything tastes better at Rosys (I also love that they have a vegetarian menu, which is sometimes a hard thing to find at a Mexican restaurant). Once you go here, youll never want La Nop again!

Mom and pop style place. Fresh salsa and guacamole are my favorites! I can make a meal of just the guacamole. The food is cooked fresh and to order. The steak fajita are amazing with onion, peppers, carrots and zucchini. Portions for price are definitely a bargain. The steak burrito is huge almost freaking up the entire plate. Wait staff and owner are attentive and you never leave hungry.

Weve been to Rosys twice. The food is great! Portions are, temperature is great service is great. I love refried beans! My only issues with the food I enjoyed, was my refried beans. My issue was the texture. The refried beans where of thin gravy texture, prefer them thicker consistency. Outside of that, the food is good. This is a family restaurant and only serves beer as adult beverages. I believe we will try it again

Best Mexican food in town. I typically get the taco salad w/out the shell, and my husband gets the California burrito. I recently tried their Carnitas. It was melt in your mouth good. I love the low key, clean, family feel atmosphere and such nice people.

This place has authentic Mexican and Salvadorian plates. Absolutely delicious! Price is just right and service was really good. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because the restaurant needs major updating and deep cleaning.

The most authentic Mexican food in Jax and its right up the street from me. The atmosphere is family friendly. The service is quick but can be slow depending on your server or day/time youre in. Really good prices for the portion as well. Its a favorite after-church spot for my family. Give it a try! Itll be worth it.

I don’t understand the other high reviews. The food is very ordinary and Americanized and nothing I’d go out of my way for. If you made it and home, you would be a little disappointed I think. Add in the semi-gross interior and hit/miss service and it equals 2 stars.

Went in an ate about 2 months ago. Food was okay at best. Its right by my house so my family was going to order dinner for pickup tonight. We called and once they finally answered they advised us they were closed for the day, at 6:40 PM on a Wednesday, and offered no explanation.

Food was okay, it wasnt as fantastic as everyone had said it was. My chicken chimichunga had a weird chemical after taste to it.The service was kind of nonexistent. They were really nice but we saw our waiter only three times our whole meal. Once for the drinks, once for the food, then for the check. No drink refills or anything. We also ordered a cheese dip for our chips and never received it. It showed up on our bill, however They removed it once we mentioned it.Like i said they were really nice, just not there. I wont write them off, but i wont go back any time soon.
