Big thanks to Lauren at Goodyear for going above and beyond. This was the only service location open in at least 100 miles (on a Sunday no less). I was traveling and my tire light came on. Tried to check it at a gas station gauge myself and couldnt figure out what was wrong. Showed up at this goodyear and Lauren immediately offered to take look at my tire pressure, no waiting despite being incredibly busy (again, the only open company or location on a long stretch of highway). Lauren took a look, explained that my tire pressure was 40 and should be 30, and quickly adjusted the pressure. Didnt even charge us. We were back on the road within 15 minutes and feeling much more safe for the remaining 10 hours of driving. You saved our trip and sanity! Thank you, Lauren!
Saturday afternoon, I drove to Goodyear Auto Service. This is after I noticed the splash guard hanging from underneath my Ford F-150. The manager took my keys and said he would take care of me. I called my husband. He said, dont worry, they will take care of you.Ten minutes later, I left out with my truck fixed and no bill!This team is amazing!Thank youCathy
What a blessing the team here is. We worked with Lauren the Service MGR, and Mike the mechanic. It’s our first trip in an RV (ever). Started with a blowout 33 miles into the trip. We went to Camping World which was nearby and got new Goodyear tires. We’ll, they left the spare in the RV coach on the floor instead of mounting it on the under carriage. AND left a damaged mud flap support beam so that it was pressing against the tires! That’s the backdrop to my stellar review for Goodyear. So we pull into this Goodyear on the off chance they could squeeze us in. Lauren was awesome. She said “let me take a look”. She called Mike from the service bays. He went right to work. Climbed under the RV. Got the tire mounted. I showed him the mud flap/frame issue. He bent the support, then went back inside to get zip ties and tied back the mud flap. All done with no wait, outside the front door of the shop. That is service. AND no charge. Of course I tipped Mike. I wished I lived closer… they would get all my car/RV service business. Missing firearm******I went yesterday to get my tires changed because I realize vibration in my tires. They explained my brakes need to be changed. I ask them to change them. The guy test drive my vehicle for 10-15 minutes. When he returned. I settled up with cashier, went to hop into my truck and noticed my firearm was missing. I ran back inside, asked if it fell out. The lady looked, and said no. I called the police, the guy that drove my vehicle left. The police officers explain the business is not allow to give out any employees information. So I now I have a missing firearm.
Former employee for the downtown Jacksonville location but now I am a frequent customer to the River City location. Tony and Dylan are always great when getting my vehicle serviced. You can be sure that these guys are some of the most upstanding honest guys in the business! In my opinion this is the best Goodyear location in the city of Jacksonville and much better than a Firestone or Mavis for sure!

I had a small issue with passenger rear tire on a new Chevy pickup and didnt know what to do or how to fix it. Not only did Lauren take a minute to assist, she jumped on what she thought it may have been, ran a test and saved me a considerable amount of money with a shop I wouldnt have known!! I really appreciated her, I trusted Goodyear anyways, but now I have a built a lasting business relationship and tgat means a lot nowadays. Thanks so much to Lauren and her team!!
I want to share my experience today at Goodyear Skymarks. I pulled in with a care full of kids and the front of my van was making a terrible noise. The young woman at the counter was SO polite and helpful. She came out to my car and showed me where the front cover of plastic had fallen down under the right front wheel, grinding against the tire.She assured me she could fix it and she did in less than 10 mins! Because it was a minor repair this amazing lady did not even charge me! I will definitely bring my business to this Goodyear location. I had a flat tire and came in because it was the closest tire shop beer me and I am sooooo glad I did the whole team is amazing. From the front desk lady (Lauren) to the technician. Professionally greeted. Courteous and responsive. Needed front covers replaced after changing battery and pulling muscle in my back. Dylan came out, looked it and had it done in less than ten minutes. Very satisfied.
Ripped off on an oil change.I took my Honda Odyssey to this shop in late 2020 to have an oil change before a family trip. After waiting several hours, we paid for the service and drove to our destination. When we arrived, I noticed the van was not running smoothly, and decided to check the oil. To my shock, there was almost no oil in the engine. I put in almost 4 quarts before the oil was at a proper level.After the trip, I decided to change the oil again on my own as a precaution. I then discovered that the filter had not been changed, as it was covered in older road grime and had other indicators of not being new.
Came in they were very busy had a nail in tire they said the tire was very new and if I had road hazard insurance were I purchased the tire. I had no idea where the tire was purchased they put a patch on it in no time and handed me back the keys. They said no charge. This was a company vehicle that I would have paid for. These guys are the best!!!

Brought my diesel truck in to have oil change and have both fuel filters changed. They only changed one fuel filter. Said they didn’t know my truck had 2. Thought they would’ve asked or looked my truck up in the system before just assuming it only had one. I understand mistakes happen. But if I didn’t know about my truck I would’ve assumed everything was taken care of. And for the price it cost I should be getting the best service and not having this issue.
I was directed here by a police officer after being refused service from Wyndham Hotel Days Inn. The police officer was kind but I think he was confused with his hours of operation because the shop was closed? I did spot one curly head Caucasian kid working alone...so I didn’t even bother checking in to get my tires rotated. Jacksonville wasn’t so friendly to tourists I guess.
Took my truck to have it aligned at tire outlet on north main st in Jacksonville, and they screwed the job up so bad my vehicle did not feel safe, so it was urgent I get my truck aligned, I went to good year and they got me in rite away, I dont know who the kid is that did my alignment but I must say he nailed it..my truck drives perfectly straight down the road..will be bringing all my alignments back here and will be referring all friends and family
So I go in cause my serpentine belt came off paid 135 for them to put it back on thought it would cover a new belt but guess not anyways they put the belt on charged me told me my water pump had a leak failed to tell me that the pulley had locked up on it crazy tho cause the mechanic took the salesman in the office and told him but I was the last customer so guess they didnt want no more work so just send me on my way well my car got half way down the block over heating an of course the belt came off again !! Smh Thanks Good year ! P.s if it would have made a difference I would had left it over night an picked it up the next day so yall wouldnt of had to stay !! But its cool cause I saved 200 taking it to precision tune!
Great service. Went in for a tire patch/plug (free btw). They had me in and out in about 30 minutes. Will definitely be getting my tires from here from now on. Employees were very kind and courteous.
They were kind enough to patch a tire very quickly for me with little waiting. They were very good about observing Covid protocols, and the shop and waiting room are nice and clean. Will use again!
These people are excellent from the service writers in the office to the techs they will bend over backwards to make sure you roll out of there satisfied and your vehicle is fixed properly and will do what they can to save you money. 10/10 will return .

My S/O and I dropped his car off at Good Year immediately after car troubles next door in the Chick Fil A parking lot and were not notified of a diagnostic fee of $125. We were expecting maybe up to $80, but money’s money. Anyhow, as they serviced the vehicle, the diagnosis changed twice. First it was his battery, which is brand new because he just bought the vehicle and they’d replaced it before driving off the lot. We were extremely confused but trusted the mechanics (as neither of us are experts but have decent car knowledge) so we called our insurance/ warranty companies to discuss coverage but had no luck because it was over the mileage and out of the policy coverage- then we called and looked around for a battery. We found one for $80 from another auto store which is half the price Good Year wanted to charge. Then, the associate came out and told us that they had charged his battery enough to diagnose that it’s the alternator. Once they did that, they handed us our receipt for the $125 ( we went to a different mechanic due to the exceptionally high prices they were charging here) and said the alternator would be nearly $600. The main point of my review is we were ran in circles for nearly 30 minutes about his battery and additionally were expected to pay for his alternator for $600. Once handed the diagnostics report they had attempted to charge us $1600 for the work for his car. Our mechanic now is going to do it for $400, a third of the price! Save money and look around before going here!
Fair and honest. Never any issues. Have had work there done on many occasions, staff is great. Just busy so make an appointment if you can.
Called ahead to see if they had an an uncommon oil filter/oil combo. They did not, but ordered it. Total time from calling to service being complete is under 2 hours. Great job guys! Tried calling 7 other places, and the earliest it could have been done was tomorrow or Monday for most.I will be coming back in the future, and would recommend.

Had a great experience here. Faith helped me big time after receiving poor service at another tire place. She was able to get me a new set for a good price. She even went way out of her way to make sure the tires were picked up for my appointment the next day. The installation appointment went smooth, and she got me in and out quick! I live out of town and had a blow out and needed a new tire. This location was wonderful! I was greeted by Faith and she was able to get my new tire ordered and get all of my road hazard information taken care of for reimbursement from my warranty. Faith was very knowledgeable and everything was taken care of quickly. I was back on the road in about 2 1/2 hrs.This would be my service center if I lived close!

Today I got a screw in my tire. I went to Pep Boys and they didnt have the tool to plug my tire. Then I went to Tire Plus and they were too busy to help me. I called Goodyear and went straight over there. Tony and the boys took real good care of me. I appreciate them working me in on a Sunday afternoon.

SHAME ON YOU GOOD YEAR!!!I recently brought my vehicle to Good Year Tire at River City, Jacksonville, FL as one of my tires had a slow leak.While at breakfast, I received a call from Good Year who indicated my tire was unrepairable due to a nail being located on the sidewall of the tire, therefore, I would have to buy a new tire. I was skeptical to believe what I was told and asked the rep to put my tire back on the car. Today I brought my car to another tire place and within an hour I received a call my car was ready to be picked up. I was in shock to say the least because I expected to buy a new tire. SHAME ON YOU GOOD YEAR!!!

The service here is great they have a lobby where you can wait and watch TV while your vehicle is being worked on. They also have a small refrigerator with nice cold water and hot coffee if you prefer. The restroom are nice and clean, I could only speak for the womens restroom but Im quite sure that if the ladies restroom is clean then the mens area more than likely is too. Its not a long wait either
Blew a tire on my trailer and decided to replace both. Bought better tires with higher speed and load ratings for $6 more per tire than the ones I had. Comparable prices to area tire shops. High quality tires at very reasonable prices. Excellent service! I will use these folks again.
I couldnt be more impressed with the service I received today. Tony and Carlos are both amazing. I came out of work close to 630 with a flat, they close at 7. I called them and Tony told me they would help me and did. It was 645 when I arrived and they stayed late to make sure I made it home safely. I highly recommend this Goodyear!!!
Took vehicle in for oil change plus rotate and balance of tires. After service vehicle shook far worst than before their technician balanced them. Took vehicle back and they told me that the issue was due to unevenly worn tires due to rear shocks being bad. I was quoted $250 to replace shocks. I was also told I needed to replace the rear tires due to uneven wear- an additional $250.I ran an automotive shop for several years (and grew up in a tire shop) and am handy with a wrench when need be, so I replaced the shocks myself with premium grade replacements for $70. They did need to be replaced Since the tires were off already I decided to take a close look at them before having them replaced. The tires were evenly worn and had plenty of tread left.As much as I dislike it, I can understand a bad diagnosis as everyone makes mistakes. I cannot, however, stomach being lied to in an attempt to sell me something I do not need.WILL NOT BE A RETURN CUSTOMER!
These guys were the best! Faith, Kyle and really nice guy with a big beard (sorry i can’t for the life of me think of his name even though he was working a lot of magic)! They waited for me after closing after they found out of the situation I was in which is unheard of nowadays. I will now forever go to Goodyear because of their impeccable service and reasonably priced service. If your on the fence because of some of the 1 star reviews I can guarantee you that it was past management. This crew is worth going to. Thank you guys so much!!!!
Fast friendly service. Coffee and water available. Place is well kept for the waiting area. People there were friendly and professional. Walked in with a tire that had a slow leak. Was given an estimate of 45 minutes. Was out the door in about 35 minutes. Had a conversation regarding the irregular tire wear and offered a free alignment inspection to see if that could be the cause. When it came time for payment, the tire repair was free. Awesome team. I will be back.
So I scheduled an appointment to get my breaks completed, they were great at figuring out my master cylinder was what needed replacing. Then he quoted me $450 to get this completed. Not being prepared to pay that much I declined, at which point he started asking how much could I spend.I got him down to $300. When I looked at the receipt, the part was $151. They were going to charge me $300 just on labor. So instead they charged me $149 labor.Moral of the story is if you go here, watch your wallets. Goodyear has turned into the old mechanic stigma of price gouging and RIP off. Sad because I used to use them exclusively.
Tried to rip my friend off by selling her a new tire.They told her it was beyond repair for a plug, she took it to another shop and they were able to have her back on the road in under 10 minutes by plugging it
The staff is great, but Steve Soto (the store manager) is absolutely amazing. While I dont know him on a personal level, I can say that based on first impressions, he is very guest friendly, thoughtful and a sweet person in general. I come here to this location to get my car serviced every time that it needs to be done. Steve is very knowledgeable and doesnt try to get over on you. He is very, very honest. When we asked him about certain things, he told us that they didnt need to be done yet (or at all), where most people/places would have taken advantage and tried to get a profit. I would recommend this location to anyone.
I really hate dealing with some mechanics, especially being a female, but I had to go in for an unexpected flat tire. Tony was professional, and friendly. Unfortunately because the fork in my tire, I needed to replace the tire. But my whole visit from beginning to end was great. Thanks Tony!!ROCK ON!

Same old same old typical rip off garage. Did work not authorized, tried to add on a bunch of stuff that was completely unnecessary. 500 dollars for a radiator hose and a 27 dollar part. If you want to get ripped off then by all means go there.
Excellent service, fair pricing, compassionate.. We were enroute from Fort Myers, Fl to our home in Cincinnati after my heart attack and surgery a week before. We were returning home to follow up with doctors and continue recoveryWhile on I95 traveling through Jacksonville..I noticed a thumping in the front end...we searched the internet and found these guys. WHAT A BLESSING..they went out of their way to diagnosis and solve the problem...the front left had a bubble and was could have posed a huge safety hazard had we not stoppedThe present set of tires had over 40k miles so we replaced the entire set. We were given all possible plus discounts and on our way in less than 2 hours.I recommend this guys highly
Literally the slowest place to get your oil and tires done. They say you have an appointment by phone get here and theres nothing on record. Thought it would be quick and still waiting after 2 hours.

I am really surprised by the bad remarks here, but I guess everyone has their own experiences. I have lived in this area of Jacksonville for over 8 years and have taken my vehicles there whenever they needed something. I always get great service and, I believe, fair prices. I have purchased tires from them for both vehicles and they have also done various mechanical work. Again, no issues with them at all. I usually deal with Steve, the manager there. Super nice guy and takes good care of our familys cars.Just as an FYI...I dont work there or have any friends or relatives working there. Just saw an opportunity to add my experiences there.

I was very disappointed at his lack of customer service. He told me that it was my fault for not knowing what part was best for my car! He basically tried to say that it was our fault for not knowing that the aftermarket part did not work and at no time did he apologize nor accept any kind of responsibility for not informing us that an aftermarket part may not be acceptable in my car. He had no concern for my safety and I go to Goodyear thinking that they would be able to use a safe and acceptable part for my car but I see now that they dont. If I am paying Goodyear then I aspect Goodyear to take responsibility for any actions that happen at Goodyear. Terrible customer service and they didnt even fix my car! No need for the headache and they are not even the cheapest service for the headache. My trust is gone, so long Goodyear!

Simply terrible! I run a rental car business and sent one of the cars that was low on air down to be diagnosed. They told us there was a slash in the tire and was not able to be repaired. Tried to sell us a tire for $150 or so odd dollars. I had my staff member take the car to the tire shop directly across the street and they found a screw in the tire and fixed it for FREE! I will never use Goodyear again for my personal or business cars and will make sure all of my friends and family are aware of the scams going on at this location!!!
Pete who works at the front desk was difficult, bullish and rude when asked a how long it might take. He didn’t give me the effort it takes to ask a mechanic how long service would take to complete. He instead looked at the vehicle and threw a number out. I could hear him make a phone call to a customer running up a quote and being denied service. He waited five minutes and called that person back saying he was on the phone with the dealership (he wasn’t) and admitted that quote was high and it would now be 50% the cost. Look out for yourself when coming here. Don’t believe everything Pete tells you.
Slow slow slow. Told I could get serviced for two tires right away. So I come in right away. I then get told 2 hours. I am now on hour 4 and my car is in the air with no tires and no one working on it. Look on the bright side, they got a couple guys just standing around and they were kind enough to try and sell me extra services, but since I declined my car is just sitting suspended in the air with all four tires removed.Never again! Never ever again!!!!

Tony and Pete were very helpful and informed. They went out of there way to make sure my truck was taken care of in a timely fashion.
I was quoted $319 to replace a coolant overfill tank. I was told the part was $125 and labor was 1 hour. I asked if the part was a factory replacement and was told it was not, it was an aftermarket part. I told them a factory replacement was only $68 and if I bought my own part could I pay them labor to put it on. I was told Goodyear doesnt do that. I worked at a dealership for 8 years and we did this everyday. I told them I would take it somewhere else and then was hung up on. I ended up buying the part for $48 and took 5 minutes to put it on myself.
Thank you Goodyear.! After several days of frustration and other shops dropping the ball on diagnosing a vibration in my truck, these guys were able to take it as a walk in and give me a solid answer on the problem within 20 minutes (if even that...) Repairs completed within 3 hours and I didnt have to sell my soul for the cost! lol. If I could give them 10 stars I would (and Pete at the front desk deserves 10 stars of his own.! lol 😁)
Had an appointment but that didnt work timewise. Got there @2pm and didnt leave until 5pm. This location needs more help. Otherwise the service was ok.

Having to get 4 new tires to travel back from Florida to SC. They were very good and nice.
WARNING - This Goodyear store got caught Red Handed trying to sell me my old parts back as if they were new. Then try to cover it up by telling me one LIE after another. If I had sent my wife up to get the car fixed they would have gotten away with it and would cost us double to get the car fixed.I took my car into this Goodyear for front brakes and to have my rotors cut. What I didnt tell them was the car was in for a recall last week at the dealership where I was advised that I needed new brake pads and gave me a price with cutting the rotors as well. They told me my rotors were plenty thick enough that I could have them cut two more times before I would need to replace them. At that time I just didnt have the money and knew I could get it done cheaper at the local Goodyear. Plus I been going to GY as a loyal customer for 20 years. I do this as its easier to keep track of the work I had done nationwide. But I when I came back to pick it up I was advised that the work couldnt be done because my rotors were to thin and needed to buy replacements. I asked then can you just put the new pads without cutting or replacing the rotors? NOPE I was told we cant do that. So instead of costing me $200. its now going to be more like $500. But Im thinking, didnt the dealer just tell me a week ago that the rotors were good and could be cut?So I told the manager then okay go ahead and replace the rotors and put the new pads on the car. As he started doing the paperwork I interrupted him saying except I want the old rotors back. He had a puzzled look and asked, why would you want your old rotors back? I said because I am going to take them to a machine shop and verify the thickness. His face told it all as he just got caught. So he said in a slight studder let me check them again myself with my own micrometer. Why would a service manager even own a micrometer? Its not like having your own screw driver set, its a calibration tool. So he left and came back mumbling to me saying they were now all of sudden thick enough to be cut, that they didnt need to be replaced after all. Unbelievable. Then came the excuses and the BS of why the garage micrometer was out of spec.What crooked garages do is to cut your own rotors making them look nice and new and then sell them back to you as new parts pocketing the money.I complained and was contacted back by two district managers and the BS went in to overtime contradicting each other. Amazing they both still lying as they were more concern about themselves getting in trouble then the trouble they put me threw. So I then filed an executive complaint after not getting any satisfaction locally to GY headquarters in Ohio. A month later they finally replied with apology and refunded the entire amount. The sad part is Ive now caught this location twice in a similar instance in the last two years.
Took my car here to have a patch put on a tire that got a nail in it, they stripped my lug nuts, and then proceeded to tell me a previous mechanic did it. Ended up paying $40 for something they did. Will never return, so much for great service. They say it’s free of charge but then do something else so that they can make a profit somehow.
DISHONEST. Recently went in after I accidentally let my brakes wear down too much. Had to have the front brakes done, got suckered in to new rotors. Fine, it was my fault I let it go too long. They checked the back breaks and gave me an estimate for a rear drivers side overhaul. $800 estimate. Took it to my normal mechanic once I could drive it back to Yulee, he said that was ridiculous, and that that wasnt even the issue. Cost me $200 to fix. I may be a young woman, but Im no idiot. I dont appreciate the disrespect, or if it were unintentional, they have no idea what theyre doing. Either way, STAY AWAY.

Very rude and unprofessional. Cut me off Mid sentence and told me NO WE DONT DO FREE DIAGNOSTICS, as if I wanted something for free I was well aware I would be spending a few hundred dollars but not at this place! Also seen the workers take a white accura off the ramps around 6:00 on 9-2-2016 and spin tires all the way around the store. What service is that? Playing in customers cars! This place is a joke ran by young ignorant workers.
Never bring your vehicle to this location. They have very bad service all the way around from customer service to quality of work. First brought my 2016 Kia Sorrento for a low tire pressure light they told me the tire had a tiny pinhole in it they repaired it I leave drive home half a mile down the street it loses air faster than it was before I took my vehicle to them. I turn around go back they say you didnt drive it far enough. I bent down and you can hear the air coming out. They pull it in the shop and say oh well I guess it had two holes in it. I mean how could they not tell it had two holes the first time. I also purchased the three-year alignment service which I believe they never did on my vehicle as it vibrates worse now than it did before they service my vehicle then today I take it to sams club to have the tires serviced and find out Goodyear lost my wheel lock the guy cussed me out over the phone when I call about it and said they did not lose my wheel lock I must have missed placed it. Well they are the only ones that have touched my vehicle since I bought it at the dealership brand-new and they had it when they call themselves repairing my tire and doing the alignment. Please never take your car here unless you have a lot of free time and a lot of money. I now have to have my wheel locks cut off and replaced.
My family and I ways get great service when I go here, and Ive been coming here for years. Will continue coming here.
