Outstanding, they fixed my AC and it was very reasonable and works like a champ. They will be my new go to garage for all my automotive needs.

On June 19th I was having issues with my car overheating. I didn’t know the cause and I didn’t think they would be able to fix it. They told me to wait 30 minutes so my truck could cool down. Then he came and told me my adapters that powered my fans were fried and he would clip them add new ones. The cost was not only fair but way less than what I expected, the service was excellent, and that was the second time this shop saved me from major work being done on my car. Great place for auto repair wish I found this years a go theyll the best

I called this business at 11:30 and spoke to a gentleman about the issue with my vehicle. I was told “we are heading out to lunch, can you come in at one?” I said yes and came in only to be told we do not have time and you would have to drop your vehicle off tomorrow. Having already taken time off work I gladly took my vehicle elsewhere and they were appreciative of the business.

I have been going to Johns for over 30 years and have always been happy with the service and honesty . Im a widow on a fixed income and I feel John has always been fair with me. I have sent many friends to him and they have all thanked me,saying what great service they received. My car is 20 years old and he keeps in running great. Thank you John.

My wife and I have found Johns to be the most trusted automotive repair facility in Jacksonville over the 10 to 15 years. He ALWAYS does QUALITY work at reasonable prices. We have recommended Johns to many of our friends, relatives, and coworkers.

We had our AC repaired at Firestone and it blew cold for one day. I took it back to Firestone the next day and they wanted to charge me an additional $900 on top of the $335 that we had already paid and they wouldnt guarantee the work. I called Johns Automotive and they told me to bring it in. Not only did they diagnose the exact problem (which is not what Firestone was saying it was), their prices were reasonable and they warranty their work. My AC has been blowing cold ever since. I have since been back for an oil change for my daughters car and for a leak in my water pump and have been extremely pleased with the service. If you are looking for an honest, quality mechanic, this is the place to go!

Terrible service, they got my truck for 3 days, and he charged me for a diagnosis $200, and when he called me he doesnt know what my truck had, but ! He make sure he charged me anyway, so I paid $200 for nothing, I guess we see each other in Court

Very unpleased service, Worker put 1.5 quart too much of oil leading to bending a engine rod in my vehicle.

I took my wifes car to Dan the A C man suppose to be Jacksonville best he couldnt fix the 2000 VW Jetta so I drove around a couple of blocks from the house found Johns Auto repair specializing in AC they.took a look at said well fix it kept it over night car was done next day in 4 hrs Dan spent all day and couldnt figure it out AC blows like I bought it yesterday Great Job Johns you got my business they always busy now I see why thanks once again

I chose Johns because I read some very good reviews. Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience.I came to have my brakes replaced. Granted, I know nothing about brakes so after they called and gave me a quote, I didnt ask any further questions.Once I picked up my car and continued driving a bit, I noticed a high pitched sound still happening when I would brake. I called and they said they would look at it again, no problem.I picked it up the second time and after continuing to drive it, still heard a high pitched sound when braking. I called back and they told me that perhaps the parts for my specific car would be better than the generic/ceramic ones... That was never mentioned to me, and I wouldnt know the difference. So I was pretty insulted when they told me that they couldnt hear the sound and basically suggested I was lying about it.What difference would it make to me, the type of brake pads in my car? As long as they work and make no noise? How absurd to insinuate that I would have nothing better to do but keep returning there to have my brakes adjusted, lying about it and trying to pull one over on them.I will say that after the third time, and with whichever pads they used now, there is no sound and it feels better braking.Just got kind of an attitude from them, and had to go 3 times to get it that way.

John and his family/staff are honest, reliable, courteous, and simply going to provide reliable repairs in a timely, affordable manner. Theyve been in Jax for over 40+ years, and we all know you cant stay in business (esp in auto repair) that long unless you are doing it right. No glitz, no glamor -- just a repair shop the way it should be. They will take care of you and your vehicle. Cant be beat, highly recommended.

Ive been coming to Johns for 2 yrs now. It is the only shop I will deal with. So glad I was referred here. There honest, do great work, and prices are great too compared to other places. As a woman you always seem to get a story about what could be the problem, but not here. They dont take appts but thats fine. I would rather take off a work day to get the job done right. I always recommend them to others.

Having my F250 running at its best is not just needed, but crucial to my business. I recently had an a/c issue and had 2 mechanics literally take everything apart only to tell me they couldnt figure out what the problem was. Very frustrating! I took it to Johns and they had it fixed in a couple of days and the charge was very reasonable.

Great service. John is a honest guy. Does great work in a timely manner. This is my new place to take my car was service. And they can fix anything on a car.

At first they seem really nice and friendly but the second time their true colors came out. I called about my previous AC problem and they said they would look at it for free! Great right? Wrong they charged me 50 bucks for re filling it with freon which I never asked them to do and by the way that was 20 bucks more than the first time they recharged it. They absolutely lost my future business and I want to make sure people know that the folks at john automotive will look to nickel and dime you. There are better places with honest and reliable pricing.

Found Johns Automotive on Yelp. While I was only there to get an estimate for repairing the A/C in my sons car I was impressed with their politeness and professionalism with me and numerous other customers that came through the office while I waited. Some customers even drove 20-30 minutes through Jacksonville traffic to bring their vehicle to Johns. I only ended up with an oil change and an estimate but I will bring my cars here in the future to see if their service matches the quality of their interaction with their customers.

John is not going to sell you a service you dont need. Example:my car kept blowing oil out of my engine wherever there was a gasket. Another mechanic said I had to have my engine rebuilt and still had the same problem after it was rebuilt. Took it to John and within a few minutes he was able to tell it was a clogged vacuum pipe and he was able to repair it with an ice pick. Replaced all my gaskets and fan belts. Didnt suggest anything about repairing my engine (gaskets were blown and fan belts were saturated with oil).

Never had such a good experience with a mechanic. These guys were fast, honest and the price was great. They got my AC fixed in one day and did it for less than $100.

At first, I enjoyed the small, family environment that Johns shop had but when I got it checked out there for free they ended up charging me after telling me itd be for free. When I told John this he goes okay and when I look under the hood when I get home they had taken off my engine cover and kept it at the shop to make absolute sure I would return. It doesnt help that I took it back for a second time and his prices seem to fluctuate with questions like I quoted you $150.... Right? I dont trust this shop.

The services I received from this garage did not live up to the hype of the reviews you see in Google and Bing. Your vehicle is a part of your family and takes you from A to Z, with routine and regular maintenance itll last for years. Choosing the wrong mechanic, will cost you money and disappointment. If you work hard for your money and expect your vehicle to be fully restored for services you pay for, always do research on complaints from past to present. Choose your mechanic wisely.
