I just like to say all Belhaven residents are not up to part some but not all …. The parking lot will flatten your tires or mess up your suspension …I cannot use my dishwasher because they got the fridge raider in the way… when I moved in my apartment it was not clean I had to clean it myself…. Some of the people in the office are very rude and do not know how to talk to tendance…When I moved over here I was expecting better maybe I just chose the wrong part about Belhaven residential…

Belhaven Residential is a great place to live! I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else to stay. The leasing staff is amazing, especially Damon. He has been so helpful with my entire move in process and I couldn’t ask for anything more! Belhaven Residential truly caters to their residents. Jennifer is the kindest person I have met in a while. she goes out of her way to treat everyone equal. My spouse works for this company and any time somethings needs to be fixed in any apartment, it is fixed. I am truly shocked at the 1 star reviews. We give her 5 stars all day every day

During the short term I have been a resident, the staff has been polite and quickly respond to service issues (within a day or two upon entering the request). Staff members were also willing to answer any questions I presented prior to moving into their property. Their staff also communicates any issues that may arise and keep you informed until the issues are resolved. The service men (repair and garbage) are very respectful and polite. The neighborhood is also quiet with great neighbors. I would recommend them to graduate students and young adults.

Very grateful to have been connected with Belhaven Residential. I just moved into my first solo apartment and the team at BR made it so easy. Connor answered each of my questions, answered every one of my emails, and genuinely shared my excitement for this next chapter of my life. Looking forward to living and working with BR in the future.

Jennifer is a dishonest person she get the staff to tell you they wont assist with rental assistance programs and will evict you. Now she get her staff to send emails as if she would Only because she know she would be able to get the funds now from Era program. DONT trust the reviews saying this place is better than a one star. On top of things they never fix repairs.

All the one star reviews are accurate! Please if you have other options try those. They don’t fix repairs, my car was broken into and they didn’t care. It’s not safe if you have children. Just terrible.

Tried to work with the management...they never got back to me and actively avoided me when I gave them ample information and evidence of their negligence. Deal with this company with caution. Also, Jennifer will try to work with you and make empty promises but no. Beware. Especially with their association with Procollect which has a wicked habit of parking debts...if you are unfamiliar with term please do look it up and find it violates Federal Debt Collection law.

Id give this place 0 stars if I could! Unprofessional and slow to make repairs.They would rather bandaid an issue than actually fix if.Properties are overpriced and usually small. We came in to pest issues after we were promised Before we moved in they would be resolved. Had both our cars and apartment broken into and they barely fixed our broken door. Definitely Do Not recommend,especially if you have kids!

I called the office to ask about the rentals a lady name Michelle answered the phone seem to be loud and rude while talking on speaker phone. She was so unprofessional that I decided this place wouldnt be for me.

I have lived in Belhaven Garden for two years and it is a great place to live. The neighbors are caring and loving people. It is a very cozy community, where I feel safe. The community is kid friendly and pet friendly. The staff are always organizing fun community events for entertainment and information. Theyre very swift on fixing any problem no matter what time it is. The maintenance people are also very helpful and caring as well. I have lived at Moody St. Apt. which is in the Belhaven Residential for a year now. I just recently renewed my lease. I have considered moving but the convenience of work made me stay. Ive had issues with my AC unit but once I reported it to maintenance they took care of it promptly. I love the complex in which I live its very quiet and no burglary since Ive been staying there. Ive never had any unprofessional encounters with the office staff. I love the convenience of the drop box and its very secure cause I use it EVERY month.

I have had a pleasant stay my 4 years in this Belhaven area. The staff are always courteous and attentive to most needs. Mr. Burwell has been a great property manager and constantly goes out of his way to ensure his residents are happy. He has been consistent in engaging in activities to help our community and make us well aware of anything going on in our area. I have enjoyed my stay. I have and will continue to recommend these apartments.

The Belhaven area is a great place with good people. It is a low crime area and also has neighborhood watch. The Belhaven residential staff are very nice with an excellent and timely maintenance crew. Ive been living here for five years and have had a positive experience.

I have rented with Belhaven Residential before and came back when i could because i love the neighborhood so much. They work with you and keep you updated on all the info you need for your home and community. The only reason i didnt give it five stars is because of the water quality and that is the city of Jacksons fault not theirs.

I have been staying here in this area for a year now and I absolutely love it! Everything from the staff, to the environment, and the service, everything exceeds my expectations. The staff is so friendly, they make anyone feel right home. The property manager is also friendly and extremely down to earth to the point where you can talk to him about anything. I’ve been living in Belhaven Residential for over a year now. The rent is reasonable, and its in a convenient location. I’m in walking distance to the fairgrounds. Belhaven is a pet friendly apartment, and I own a dog. When the water heater was out, it was immediately replaced that day. Anytime I have needed maintenance, they have always responded in a timely manner.

I like living in Belhaven Gardens, I have been here two years and have experience nothing but satisfaction. I really enjoy the neighborhood and the property manager along with the ground mens are the best. Thanks James for being a great property manager!

Ive been renting from them for nearly 4 years now in two different apartments. Theyve been very reasonable about everything with me in terms of deposits and moving and such. Ive also had various maintenance problems over the few years Ive been here and theyve always come out and fixed them in a reasonable time. Including some of the small things that werent absolutely necessary which is nice. Overall its been a good company to rent from and I plan to stay with them until I finish grad school in a few years.

We moved in about two months ago. The people who manage are very polite and attentive. My garbage disposal started leaking the second day we were here, and I had a new one in less than an hour from the fantastic maintenance crew. If you buy any light fixtures, blinds, etc. they will come install it for you, free of charge. Rent is reasonable, but the neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired.

As with any place it has a few cons as mentioned in previous post about the super thin walls as well as other things. However, whenever a problem arises management is quick to fix it. The staff is super friendly and they go above and beyond to hear our concerns and get the community involved.

Ive been staying in one of the apartments at Belhaven Residential for more than a year. It is affordable, comfortable and safe. They are very prompt in addressing the residents concerns. Staff members are nice, friendly and considerate. I am impressed.

I have been living here since August 2013 and renewed it for one more year. When I came in Belhaven Spring, the management was horrible if I compare with present time (leading by James Burwell). Belhaven Spring is an excellent place to stay safe and quiet. Management is very much professional, and they do solve any maintenance issue promptly.

I was horribly disappointed and disgusted by this group. They demanded $54 upfront to view one of their properties and I foolishly thought that was the norm. Not so! Most groups will only ask this fee once youve shown interest in actually renting a place and will use the money to run a background check and credit check.When I actually went to view the property, I was horrified. I would love to know what magic they used in their tour video that made this place look like a cute, older triplex. What I actually found was chipped, pealing paint and a smell like something had died. Given the giant holes in the floor through the broken ventilation covers, its entirely possible the some poor, unfortunate rat or mouse fell down there and the decaying stench now wafts through the entire building. I was afraid to touch any doorknob in the place for fear of bringing bed bugs or some other infestation back to my current residence.Slumlords in the truest sense of the word. I wonder if theyve offered people a discount on their rent in exchange for a nice review. I wouldnt put it past them.

Ive lived at Belhaven residential for a year and a half and Ive enjoyed living here. Its close to I55 and the major hospitals. There are multiple restaurants and its close to most of the malls and outlet stores. I would definitely recommend Belhaven residential to anyone thats looking for a place to live. I also would like to state that James Burwell and the staff are really good at handling any complaints.

Bugs!! They were only willing to spray 1 apartment not the entire building. Pretty much said they can only do so much and its a shame you can only survive less than 2 weeks at an apartment complex but they let the bugs have yearly contracts just nasty.

Ive been a resident of the Belhaven Springs apartments now for approximately a year and find it to be adequate. The rent is affordable and the proximity to local businesses I frequent is close by. The staff is quick to address any issues I may have and the management is pleasant to work with.

They are aggressively professional. If you owe them a penny, they will go after it. That is not hyperbole. That being said, their professionalism is unmatched in Jackson. If you have a question, they answer it. If you have a problem, they quickly deal with it. Id rent from them again.

This is my 2nd lease and the staff is always making sure the residence have what they need in a timely manner. My location is great it really makes me feel safe. Would recommend this property to my friends.

I have lived in Belhaven Residential properties for over a year now. Everyone on the staff is very polite and very helpful. When you go into the office you are always greeted with a smile by Ms. Donna and Crystal. When ever you talk to both they are very honest and concern about what is going on property. I have received phone calls as follow up to issues that have risen. I have lived at a Belhaven Residential property for a year. Whenever I have reported maintenance issues, they have been resolved within a week or less (usually in less than two days). For a reasonable price, I am in a relatively safe area with a gated parking lot, and more square footage and closet space than the money could buy me elsewhere in town.

I stayed in Belhaven Springs for 4.5 years then relocated. After a couple of years I moved back due to affordability, its proximity to downtown Jackson (where I work and attend school), and the neighborhoods many amenities. I would recommend Belhaven Residential to anyone!

I have been staying at Belhaven Springs for 2.5 years now and Its been great. The apartments themselves are really quiet with the occasional loud walker above you. I dont plan on moving anytime soon, I love that it is gated and within 10 minutes of my school with traffic. I have had a few maintenance issues since moving in but the maintenance crew will usually have the problem fixed between an hour and a day. Overall, I do think it is a good place to stay for the location and price.

The community is quiet, with plenty of activities for adults and the whole family. There are college campuses, hospitals, and restaurants near by.Any issues I have had while staying In my apartment have been handled in a professional and timely manner.2017

Think hard before renting from these folks. They do NOT Maintain.... Hail storm last March 2013 and still have broken windows that are boarded up (I guess to hold the broken glass in???).... Hail caused terrible damage to the siding and its broken all over the place - Tomorrow is October 1, 2013. Air conditioning units are crap. Siding has openings so large that critters live in the wall by our fireplace. AND....we have NO window or door screens so we cannot get outside cooling air. ALL of this has been reported repeatedly and still not fixed.

Belhaven has been a safe and comfortable environment. Ive been here going on one year and a couple months and Ive had little to any problems during my stay. I strongly suggest that you guys consider Belhaven Residentials as a place to stay.

Very safe my home for 2 years

Ive been living in the Belhaven area since 2012 and been enjoying it ever since. Great neighborhood, good area to run and exercise, and close to the interstate.

My husband and I LOVE calling Belhaven Residental our home, we feel safe and secure. The office staff is always so kind, accommodating and very helpful! When and If we have ever had an maintence issue it is ALWAYS taken care of promptly. This will be our home for a while!!

I have been staying here for over a year now. The apartments are affordable, but you get exactly what you pay for. The floors squeak terribly and are even caving in, in some spots, my refrigerator has been leaking for months, the walls are paper thin so I hope you like your neighbors (you will hear EVERYTHING and smell everything they smoke), the parking lot barely has enough space for all the residents, and every time the season changes I have to call about my heat/AC not working. The neighborhood is pretty decent. The management staff are nice but be careful because they will sneak fees on you then smile in your face about it. Again, you get what you pay for. Dont expect much but an affordable place to stay.UPDATE 5/30/16: I paid my rent all the way up until June. Crystal, the office manager, gave me the incorrect amount for my rent. She is always rude and nasty. I asked that day was it right and of course she rolled her eyes, huffed and puffed, and then did the math again pointing to the screen (the computer) and continued talking to me like I was inferior. Instead of matching her rudeness I said okay and wrote the number on the check. Now its the end of May and I discovered an error on my account. I went to the office May 20th and talked to James about it and I saw him write a note to Crystal telling her to call me. Of course she didnt. I called the office and talked to James that Monday and he seemed confused because he left a note for her ON HER DESK. She deliberately did not call to right her wrong. So I called EVERYDAY from May 23rd - 27th asking for Jennifer, because I have nothing else to say to Crystal. No one ever called me back after I left several messages for Jennifer through James. This is the most unprofessional business I have ever seen! I even set up appointments for her to call me at certain times so I would not miss it . James has been doing everything he can while the OWNER does nothing but give excuses for her office manager. I literally talked to James everyday. They are UNPROFESSIONAL then on top of that the office manager, Crystal, is just rude. Its one thing to make a mistake, we all do, but AT LEAST try to correct it and admit you did wrong. They have my number as well as my email yet no one has tried to clear this matter up!!!

At one point they were giving people 50 dollors off their renewed lease if they wrote a good review about the apartment complex.If youre looking for a nice quiet apartment complex this most certainly is not it. I have been living here since 2014 and when I first moved in it was great but as time went on and management changed so did the apartment complex. Below is a list of things to consider before renting:1. Paper thin walls you can hear and smell everything your neighbors do. So hopefully you have good neighbors.2. Maintenance is a joke. I had a wet mold like smell in my apartment for months. I called maintenance and he pretended not to smell it even though all my house guest could. I ended up reaching out to the owner and nothing was done until months later when I called complaining again because the odor was back. The problem was still not fixed properly I ended up taking the carpet out of the closet myself because maintenance said the water was coming from the neighbors toilet on to my carpet.3. Management does not do anything about any problems. I had the same problem (loud music etc all hours of the night/ morning) with the same neighbor since he moved in and nothing was done. I had to call JPD several times. Dont even think to call the officer that lives here he will just tell you to go and knock on the neighbor door.4. Dogs are allowed in this apartment complex so watch your step because some people dont pick up there dog poop.5. The parking lots are noise at all times. People yelling, play loud music and verbally fighting.If you can live with this things you should consider renting here.

I have lived at Belhaven Springs Apartments for about three years. While I think that some things on the inside of my apartment are in need ot updating/renewing, I feel very safe, and that is worth more to me than new stuff. The one recommendation that I would like to make for management, since I believe it may be required of them, is to have handicap access from the parking areas to the sidewalks. I broke my foot a year ago and was required to use a scooter to get around. It was very dangerous trying to navigate from the uneven walkway to the parking area, which also was uneven. I had to be assisted either by a person or someones car to make the transition.

I have been living in Belhaven Springs apartments for 8 months now And I hardly ever deal with management, I normally pay my rent on time and hardly ever go in the office unless I have packaged I missed, however I had a issue this past month of February I normally get off work and pay my rent this particular date I was getting off work and I had to go to the bank and we all know how packed the banks can get on the Friday, I was literally pulling up at 5:15 to drop my money order off, and I be dam Monday evening I get home I have a late notice on my door I called the office and the lady name MS. CRYSTAL OH MY GOD, SHE IS VERY RUDE VERY DISRESPECTFUL I Do-not see how Belhaven can hire her as office manager, she will never let you speak she speaks over you very nasty attitude and arrogant, you mean too tell me if Im 15 minutes late from the time you all close and charge me a late fee when we have until the 5th of each month, it should at least be some consideration, she said to me no maam I will not be waiving your late fee at all, I will be contacting corporate on her and reporting her to the better business bureau and I can not wait until my lease is up, Belhaven is the only place I know that will charge you a late fee if late 15 minutes and the property manage JAMES clearly stated that he was there until 630 so I ask him was their any consideration he declined saying crystal stated no, I do not recommend anyone to move in if you can help it move to the FOUR SEASONS, OAKBROOK heck even The Reserve of Jackson they are great at customer service, great on having parking space available sometimes I home and my kids and I have to walk a mile to get to my apartment in the dark because its no parking the apartments are dusty and old IM READY TO MOVE OUT

Do NOT rent from these people. The manager Chrystal and whatever Jennifer may be are the most unprofessional people I have ever had to do business with. There are drug dealers at Belhaven Heights and nothing has been done about it. Maintenance is awful - light bulbs in stairwells have been out for months, there is a 1 inch gap in the front door of my daughters apartment and I cannot describe it as anything other than ghetto. They called, emailed and basically harassed my daughter because her PREPAID rent was $1 short. People move out in the middle of the night to avoid paying rent and they want to harass someone over $1?????
