I wish I could rate higher than five stars. Ive tried many other vets over the years in Issaquah, but my search ended here. Since this is a hospital just for kitties, I feel very comfortable with the staff and doctor because of their expertise, abilities, and focus to help my cat.I recommend this place to any cat owner who has ever felt overlooked at other places for bringing in a cat instead of a dog.And I recommend this place to any cat owner who wants the best care, attention and love for their kitty.

I took my 13 year old cat to this hospital for a ear infection and an annual exam in good health condition. The doctors there recommended some of their cans that contain a lot of protein and after eating from one of the cans, the cat vomited the entire night and died after 3 days. I took the cat there next day after she vomited the entire night and they gave her pain medicine, and they kept asking to do a full blood test for $300+ dollars. The staff there didnt took any responsibility in my cats death, they charged for their exams multiple times even though the cat got sick because of their lack of knowledge or professionalism. This business is only there in the money making business, they dont care about your pets. The cat could have been alive if I didnt go to this place. AVOID THIS PLACE. Find another place that actually cares about your pets, not only to charge your credit card. This is the lowest quality care Ive ever seen.

We took our 2 cats here for years (every year). Each time they recommended extensive blood test. Teeth removal, etc. Very expensive, but we didnt care because we loved our cats. Yet they failed to notice a large lump that turned to be a tumor until it was too late. A simple X-ray finally detected a large inoperable tumor. Then, the doctor was unavailable during the emergency, to take our cat out of her misery. Our cat suffered and died at home, one day later. We will never use this people again.

I ran across Meadows after my beloved cat friend of 18 years died and I needed cremation and didnt know where to turn. They were (and are) amazing. The comments about their compassion are spot on. We were surprised to meet a three month old kitten last weekend who has some health issues and everything about Meadows is the pinnacle of caring, compassionate, and competent. I am so grateful to have my baby in their care, and cant give a higher recommendation or possibly adequately express how grateful I am for them 🙂.

A fantastic, professional and caring team! I highly recommend Meadows Cat Hospital! This was my first visit to Meadows (10/3) when my cat unexpectedly stopped eating and had troubles using the restroom on a Saturday morning. In a pinch I called around and inquired about good local vet clinics, I was referred to Meadows Cat Hospital. While I didnt have an appointment (always highly suggested) I was in an emergency situation and met them at the front door right as they opened. I was greeted at the front door and kindly asked about my cats symptoms. Heres the moment I knew I would continue to take my cat here - while they couldnt give me an appointment they made room to allow me to keep Mama Kitty onsite and assist her the moment they could diagnose and treat her condition. I was and still am incredibly grateful. They stayed in close correspondence with me, took amazing care of my cat and continued to follow up with her progress thereafter. Pricing was well explained, reasonable and I didnt feel pressured or sales pitched to do any more than what was needed for my cats health. My cat was relaxed and happy when she was returned to me.I highly recommend this veterinarian hospital to any feline parents out there! Thank you Meadows team for your kindness and support. We look forward to our next (non-emergency) visit.Alexia & Mama Kitty

My cat is treated by Doctor Courtney and passed away one day later, I dont think shes professional and responsive. My cat stopped eating and drinking during the labor day, no animal hospital open that day, so I waited to next day(9/8). I cant make same day appointment from many other vet clinic, so when Measows cat hospital said I can walk in, Doctor Courtney can see my cat during interval, I felt so lucy and thank her thousands of time in my heart. She did blood test and X-ray and told us blood test is normal, from X-ray, there may be some lung infection and she may also have asthma. She use such words like maybe, little, that made us think its not a big problem. After taking antibiotic medicine and inject some fluid, we took my cat home in the afternoon. But the cat became worse at home with rapid breathing and wheezing, also vomit. We called the office and sent them a short video, then were asked to bring her back for Aerokat inhale. Then were home again. During the night my cat became worse, she wheezed all the time and fell down on the ground this morning. Its my fault not bring her to emergency since we thought shes treated at day, we thought the recovery maybe slow.Instead, I brought her to the Meadow cat hospital again in the morning (9/9). I arrived there at 7:40, when the officer came at 7:45, she called the doctor and said she cant come today and suggest me to bring my cat to other hospital. I arrived at Alpine but they cant save her back. My cat passed away.Im really sad and want to say:1: Doctor Courtney is not professional, she told us it MAYBE lung infection, not severe, why it deteriorated so fast that my cat cant last for a night? I even dont know the real cause for my cats death till now, so sad.2: Doctor Courtney is not responsible, since the cat already showed symptom of asthma, whey didnt her remind us some red flag to go emergency during night? Im lack of knowledge I can take any blame, but as an animal doctor, shouldnt her be more responsible to tell customer the symptom for emergency? Especially when shes out of office next day! She should arrange some backup for follow up.I really regretted choosing Meadows cat hospital. It buys google ads and appears on top when searching, be aware of it.I really felt sorry to my cat. No matter what I type, it cant bring back her life.

Absolutely wonderful Hospital! I have been searching for a Cat Specific Clinic for my kitties and Meadow Cat Hospital is the perfect place! Dr. George and her husband are both extremely knowledgeable and compassionate when it comes to your cats.We took in my 4 year old Calico who ended up having six stones in her bladder and they explained everything that would need to happen to help her as well as the costs which i really appreciate. They were able to do a surgery on her that day and even spent the time afterwards answering literally any question we had regarding not only or sick girl, but our other cats. You can tell just how much these people care and are willing to go above and beyond for their patients and clients. If you want the absolute best for your kitties go to Meadows Cat Hospital!!

We had to board our terminal cat who was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Our usual ( and VERY expensive) vet did not board. So we had to look for other options. We found Meadows Cat Hospital and went in to chat and get a feel for the place. After just a few minutes of talking with Nick and Dr. George we were immediately put at ease. The level of care that our cat (Archie) received was amazing. They gave Archie the full treatment and was incredibly reasonable. My wife and I wish we could do more to show how much we appreciate the service and caring showed to us by the entire staff. Needless to say Archie only goes to Meadows from now on.

All the staff at Meadows were attentive and thorough in caring for my cat Lilu. When I picked up my cat from Aerowood, she needed follow-up care and was examined by Dr. Courtney Proctor. I appreciated being asked a lot of thoughtful questions about my cats health and status prior to dropping her off (Aerowood asked only a couple questions) and when I received updates on my cats status and care, I felt assured my cats health was genuinely in the best hands. Dr. Nicholas George and DVM Dr. Laura George also did a tremendous job helping with her treatment. I went home with a care plan and meds, and they checked back frequently to ensure my cats health was on the right trajectory. My cat was eating and feeling better in a few days. Thank you so much!!! So thankful I took a friends recommendation to take my cat here!

Dr. George, you deserve a bad review. Although your staff (front desk people) are wonderful, as the vet, you never addressed the problem that was killing my cat, but only wanted tests and office visits about other issues any geriatric cat might have to increase your bottom line. And then, you would not give any medication to ease his pain and suffering as he was dying without another extremely stressful office visit. We had him euthanized at Seattle Humane Society which is just that...HUMANE. I absolutely refused to call you after you would not even give pain/suffering medication. Plus, I can only imagine what YOU would have charged. I also suspect the visits, tests, and unrelated shots hastened his demise. I will give to Seattle Humane Society at any time, but will never visit you again. I know you will delete this; it is your website, so go ahead. I just wanted you to know.

I took my cat here for many years. Id still go back, but it is overly expensive, they charged us $800 for a dental surgery and they didnt even remove the tooth (even if there was nothing wrong with it I would have liked it to be removed because now her new vet also wants it removed and continually putting my cat under anesthesia is not fair). They also transferred her medical records incorrectly to me. The male owner to be fair, is really kind. They also sell really good cat food that finally solved my cats digestive and obesity problems all in one.Update: I changed my review from 3 to 4 stars. The vet reached out to me and cleared some things up, the cost of $800 is incorrect, that was the pricing for an earlier dental extraction which was successful (no problems there!) but the cost for the later dental examination which resulted in no dental extractions was less and there was miscommunication prior to that examination.

Dr Laura George DVM and her husband Dr. Nicholas George, PhD, are a wonderful team! Their authentic and excellent healing skills and ethos are badly needed in the local area pet health world. They took over Meadows Cat Hospital from Dr Laramore in 2016-2017, and my cat, Fafnir, and I are so very grateful, if we could give ten stars, we would.Backtrack to 2010, when the previous vet (Laramore) had made a terrible mistake with Fafnir which almost cost us his life, and the treatment of which affected my health, as well as cost a lot of money so we never went back. Fast forward to Winter 2017 - Drs George & George went through the medical records of all the patients, and also saw my previous review, and knew they had to do something to right the situation. (Their words to me; not mine.) They reached out to me, despite the fact that they had nothing to do with Dr Laramores mistake, and weren’t responsible for what had happened in 2010, yet they wanted to make it up to us. As it happens, Fafnir had just been diagnosed in November 2016 with small bowel lymphoma by Dr Schreiner at Blue Pearl/ACCES who was just about the only vet I have really trusted since the 2010 incident.(Hes an internal specialist.)Fafnir and I have now seen Dr George twice in the last month, and we are so grateful for Dr George’s expertise, and Dr Nicks bedside manner. They are helping me keep Fafnir’s quality of life high, while he endures this fatal illness (which is inoperable). Last month was a free one hour consult where Dr George was super helpful and we got some refills.Today, Fafnir got into a cat or raccoon fight, and was so whiny and acted like he was hurt so bad that I could barely touch him. It turned out to be a bad scratch on his back (the cancer makes him more sensitive and in pain) so Dr George and I both agreed he need to be sedated so he could actually be examined, and then administered medications as needed including pain meds. We also got a courtesy nail trim, and some grooming (clumps and goosegrass!) while he was zonked out. I can tell Fafnir was much happier about the good drugs and treatment he received and must also mention that Fafnir is now considered a VIP now at Meadows, so he gets top of the line amazing treatment, and the offer of free office visits plus discounted (at cost, I think) meds for the rest of his life. I can’t thank them enough for coming to my aid at this time of our lives when Fafnir needs more veterinary attention, and I am too finding it stressful emotionally and financially. They really are angels in our lives when we need them, and I’m amazed that there are some vets out there with the outstanding ethics as well as expert healing skills and bedside manner. (They both really know their animal medicine!)To sum up, we have in the past 11 years, tried many other vets in the Issaquah, Redmond and Renton area, and Meadows Cat Hospital stands out radiantly amongst all others, even the ones that have extremely good reviews. They understand how precious Fafnir is to me, and they’ve gained my trust which is such a big deal! (I’m a Biologist so I tend to be very involved in knowing as much as I can to help take care of my beloved boy.) u2028u2028Thank you, Dr George and Dr Nick so much for all you’ve done so far to help! Fafnir is super grateful too, (purring now were home and feeling much better) and we are looking at ways to keep him safe but so he can enjoy his backyard in his final months or years. Heres a photo from 2015 when he was in his prime. :)

Everyone is so caring and their services accommodate from routine wellness exam to more specialized care and hospital procedures. They are true cat lovers. The kindness, compassion, and knowledge from Meadows Cat Hospital in incomparable. I would recommend Dr. George and her team to anyone who only wants the very best for their cats.My husband and I moved to the area about a year ago with our 4 cats. Soon after we got settled in, my 12 year old cat, Charles, became very ill. To make a long story short, Charles wound up having a form of soft tissue cancer that had spread through most of his little body. We ultimately had to make the very difficult decision to let him cross the rainbow bridge.Dr. George and her caring team had done absolutely everything they could do to save his life, all the while taking the extra time to explain everything in great detail right up until the very end.Since then, we have taken our other 3 cats to visit for everything from general check-ups/vaccinations to more complex medical issues. Due to the knowledge and experience the team at Meadows has, they have always made us feel at ease no matter what the issue.

Dr. George is an amazing doctor. She basically saved my cat after he was treated wrong by another vet. What I like about the practice is that you can truly trust them. Both Dr.George and husband are great people and very honest. My cat was recovering very long after the surgery and they always checked on him without any extra charges. They also have a boarding and I feel safe leaving my cat with their staff. My cat never stayed at the boarding for his last 10 years so leaving him for a couple days was a very hard decision but after the surgery he eats only a wet food. Even if some of prices might be a bit higher I will never go another vet anymore because health of my kitty is very important and I dont want to deal with big network vets anymore that dont care about your kitty.

Dr. George had been treating my pets for years back in WI and now (thankfully) treats my cats when I travel to the PNW. Having such a dedicated clinician who makes every effort to be available and takes the time to educate is a rarity these days. Going back to when she was an associate in WI, she set her self apart by being the doctor that people went to who wanted a doctor who would put the time in and someone who would help them work with their limited budgets (as I have). I never felt judged with her and always felt that she educated me about what was important and what could wait.Fast forward to now and finding that she has (not surprisingly) devoted her life (as has her husband) to cat wellness, and I am ecstatic! It is wonderful to know that when I travel to WA that my cats (and even my other pets back home which she helps me with) are always in the best of care. Even though I have a trusted family vet back in WI, she has always worked with me on second opinions or when my cat or dogs did something stupid or had a weird problem was there to help. Im extremely happy to have her dedicated family (both Drs. George) and her wonderful staff on my side.

I was calling around all the vets in my area after adopting (rescuing) a Sphynx and hearing about too many health problems that they commonly had, and I should also mention that Im a crazy cat lady and this little guy may as well be my child. The receptionist that answered the second time I called (I talked to 2, both outstanding) was very knowledgeable about procedures and really knew her information without a please wait, Ill go ask the doctor... which was refreshing. I picked this place specifically after the customer service I had received, and the fact that they use much lighter sedatives (specifically, they dont use Ketimine for the procedure that my kitten needed- this breed is known to have poor reactions to it, apparently.)We went in for my cats check up (assuming the worst from the breeders he has been passed around) and the doctor was very articulate with everything he checked, and even gave me very helpful advise when it came to food selection, shots, etc. He was a concerned cat owner on the other side of the exam table- not a sales man, again, very refreshing. We even ended up not giving him a shot because it was simply unnecessary for my kitten.I ended up ariving late, to the last appointment of the day, and the staff and doctors still welcomed me and my cat with open arms. They even went over some extras (Ill leave it at stuff) that I didnt expect in the first place- let alone now 30min after they were supposed to have left.Over all I am VERY impressed with this professional and family - like staff. I would absolutely recommend them.Oh! I should also include they were one of the most affordable clinics in the area for what we needed.. and thats coming from a grad school student (;My cat is now good hands, yours will be too.

Update in August 2018... the cat is Still around. 22 years old. Thank you Dr Laramore and staff for making this happen!Dr Laramore saved my cat, then 14 years old, when other vets wanted to do things that would have likely taken her. Corporate vets wanted to charge exorbitant fees to do unnecessary surgery for a cancer tumor that turns out wasnt even there, admitting she would not likely make it. Dr Laramore looked at my cat for 5 minutes and figured out exactly what was wrong (abscess tooth infection) and we hatched a plan. Today, as I type this out, my cat sits next to me at age 20. She still runs outside, still socializes with neighbors, and still purrs like a happy little karma engine. If it werent for Dr Laramores expertise, honesty, and genuine concern this cat would have been gone years ago.Excellent cat care. Wish they did dogs too.
