A friend recommended me to Arts I took my van there and Art told one of the mechanics to replace two belts. I paid cash and left. On my way to work the van sounded worst. After work I took the van back, and right away Art and his mechanic started arguing out loud. The mechanic said to me I will tighten the belts. I WAS STANDING THERE FOREVER IT WAS COLD AND RAINING. THE mechanic SAID OUT LOUD I DONT FEEL LIKE DEALING WITH A DAG ON BELT He threw his hands up and said if it still makes noise I DONT KNOW WHATS WRONG. Art pulled my van out and told me not to use my defroster, why I had no problem with that, He said I need a compress? FATHER GOD IN HEAVEN TOLD ME SOMETHING WAS WRONG! I TOOK MY VAN TO ANOTHER SHOP. IN 5 MINUTES THEY SAID THE BELTS WAS LOOSE, and THE BOLT TO THE ALTERNATOR WAS BROKE. Who ever put the belt on broke the bolt!!! My friend was so upset he spoke to Art, he said he knew the bolt was broke, but he didnt tell me? Art let me drive my van off his premises knowing it wasnt safe to drive, the noise was so loud I was so nervous driving to work in Teaneck NJ. Thank GOD I was able to get the job done properly by professionals!!! I will file a complaint with the BBB!!!

Art is one of the nicest, most honest & hard working, highly knowledgeable and experienced person in his craft as a mechanic. His prices are more than extremely fair. You will NEVER find a mechanic shop that does an excellent andthorough job who charges less than Mr. Art.In fact, he tries to save you money and even will work with you if you dont have much money to spend on repairs. I have referred many people to Mr. Art, and they all say the same thing: Hes a great mechanic, does not over-charge and is a very nice guy. My family (the Harpers) and I have known and used Mr. Art for over 40 years, and have nothing but great things to say about him.I recall one time when I had accidentallydriven into a giant pothole in which a bolt/nut had come off and fell into my cars engine. I went to get estimates on the cost to repair my 2003 Toyota cars engine. I did not go toMr. Art first to inquire about the cost, because I was told by a friend to go somewhere that only dealt with engines and/transmissions. So I did just that. At any rate, Toyota told me $2200. Amaco Transmission told me $2600. Every place that I went that specialized in engine problems, wanted over $2000 to remove the bolt/nut. I truly did NOT have that kind of money! Yet, I needed my car to get around. I knew I was going to be over-charged! They ALL stated that they would have to take the engine apart to get that fallen bolt/nut out. I told my friend, Im callingMr. Art to find out if he handles engine problems and would work on my car. Mr. Artis so highly recommended and respected in his business, that he has a very large clientelelist. Well, Mr. Art told me sure. So, I said great! Mr. Art had my car towed to his shopMr. Art let me know that he had other cars before me, but that he would get to my car a.s.a.p. He also stated that he would to try to get the bolt/nut out without having to take apart or open up the engine. He gave me an estimate of about $950.00. Well, hallelujah!! Mr. Art worked on my car diligently and got that bolt/nut out without having to open up or dismantle the engine in any kind of way!!!When I went to pick my car up, not only did he remove the nut/bolt, but he gave me a tune-up and an oil change!! Now because he DID NOT have to open up my engine, he only charged me a TOTAL OF $695.00 !!!! I tried to give him a tip to add to that...but he wouldnt take it. Now, thats the kind of person Mr. Art is! His wife is usually at the shop and very supportive of Mr. Art. But sometimes she gets annoyed with him because she says hes too nice. You know GOD has blessed Mr. Arts business, because Mr. Art transfers those blessings to his customers. For that Mr. Art, I want to say thank you for your expertise in your craft. But even more so thank you for your kindness, understanding, honesty, generousity, and dedication to me and ALL those you have serviced and continue to service throughout the years. You deserve more than an OSCAR, but a NOBEL PEACE PRIZE!!๐Ÿ‘I wish you nothing but the best! Now, you and your wife take a long and relaxing vacation!!โ˜บGOD Bless You!Marilyn Harper
