This is a review as a company driver. This is basically a review of the drivers lounge. This is the biggest Forward air facility Ive been to. I was expecting decent parking and relaxing area for down time. Both are not the case. The trucks are parked in the back of the massive building, with maybe 12 spots or so, while the drivers lounge is all the way up front. Theres only ONE restroom for men and ONE restroom for women. ONE shower and a few washers and dryers. The space itself seems small and totally a after thought. In fact, it seems like drivers seem to have been a after thought which is very unfortunate.
Every single time to drop freight it takes an excessive amount of time. Friday night there are people sitting in folding lawn chairs because the wait is so extreme. When asked why the mumble and shut the glass. I understand we are just drivers dropping freight but maybe they could at least try.
Horrible everything. We set up a pickup on Monday between 12&4:30, and didnt know nothing until our freight company that arranges for us (Worldwide) told us on Wednesday that somehow they werent able to pick it up on Monday or all day Tuesday and market it hot for Wednesday. I guess it was so hot, it couldnt be picked up.We notified our customer, but they needed it quickly, and we lost out on the sale due to their incompetence and inability to pick up an order.Will never use this company again, after theyve literally cost us over $1,000 for taking a ridiculous amount of time to pick up an order.
Wait times vary. Can be in and out or sometimes wait for a forklift driver.
First time picking up anything here and the staff was helpful, informative, and professional.

This is an awesome place but prepare to waste your time especially dropping off goods.My first experience, not much people but they took forever to recognize you are there waiting and the guy start off loading my stuff then disappeared.Here today 11/5, another guy start off loading my stuff then disappeared again after about 2 hours we had to go locate him. His poor excuse was that he ran out of propane. I swear he went to lunch unannounced.Each time I go there no matter what time of the day I will spend at least 5 hours.Complete waste of time and poor customer service.

I arrived yesterday at 5 pm and got notified that loading takes 5 hours, spend 17 hours to get loaded.Terrible customer service, unorganised...

As a O/O it was not a good place for me. If you live in Wa state or Oregon. Its a struggle to get loads,along I-5. Requested to go east but, it happend twice, the second time,was so I could turn in my plates n permits. Great people, great support fron James and Patric at Contractor relations. Just not set up for,solo drivers.

Even when theres a lot of trucks in line youll get out within an hour, the only bad thing that i have to say is about a male security gard at the gate, very rude and mean, if he doesnt like his job he can quit and make everybody happy
Terrible communication, lack of etiquette, and zero status on progress. I can only imagine how painful this is for existing clients... Minimal PTO and sick leave is insulting. I would never consider applying for a job here again, even if my life depended on it. I dodged a bullet. I interviewed with Binaya Poudyal and a few other department leads a few months ago and the lack of professionalism and communication was absolutely ridiculous. J.B. Hunt seems to be doing things much better.
These guys take forever off loading you. They tell you to call in every hour to see if youre off loaded so you cant take a good nap at all. If you dont call in they call you asking you why you havent checked in.

Forward Air, has to be the most unprofessional outfit I have dealt with in my 40+ years in International Trade. The office staff is careless, will not return phone calls, and they are not managed well. They mishandled documents and no they expect me to pay easily waived internal storage charges. Forward Air depends on their careless processes and controls to rob their unintentional customers of money by accessing disputable storage charges. Scott Avery is the Manager and is disrespectful and hangs up instead of talking sensibly to a customer.I didnt ask to be a customer, now I will certainly do all o can to avoid it happening again, and you best do the same.I had to give them 1 star just so I can provide a Review.

Great place to work
Some days it takes a long tim to pick up or deliver freight at Fwd Air and some days your in and out on a short time. From the outside looking in it seems like they could be more consistent with the short times if they really wanted to. Sometimes it doesnt seem like they care.
If your going to ask customers to wear mask maybe you should practice it too. Not one employee had one on.

Slowest in the world. Freight is in irving at 5 pm on a Thursday but they still have no manpower to offload 24 hrs later. Smdh ...

Slow, slow, slow & slow! Waited for 2 hours in line to pickup my product. They pass you by on the forklift. & offer NO help as the line grew longer.
Fast, efficient service. My freight left PA on Friday and I picked it up in DFW on Monday afternoon.

It took 25 mins to present my paperwork at shipping/receiving with 2 counters open and only 2 people in front of me. One lady was on the phone the whole time. 4 hours later Im still sitting at the dock with only 7 pallets to unload. Their explanation: Were understaffed.

As someone who ships through here frequently, its a mixed bag. Havent had very much get damaged, but more frequently items are late a day or two, and service can be instant or it can take upwards of a half hour.
Its an alright distribution center. Really big but one thing that disappointed me was their really small truck driver break room.
