I came here looking for help for my daughter who was struggling in all areas. They tested her and scheduled a meeting a few days later where they tell me she tested below average and they suggested upwards of 200+ hours. I honestly knew she was behind, even before the pandemic, so I was not surprised but when I got the final number of how much it would cost.....I was in shock. They offered financing, which I did consider for a moment, I was told would be a soft check but I received a letter stating otherwise from a third party. I had explained to them I would have to verify with our real estate agent before hand since we were looking to buy a home, She should not have ran my information, I took a hit.

We regret having enrolled our children at this center. Our older child was already enrolled for a few months before the pandemic and we were paying $249/month for her. In early March, we also enrolled our younger one and paid for a couple of months in advance at $89/month. He didnt get a chance to attend a single session before the pandemic hit. We have been following the social distancing guidelines since then and not visiting any service providers, including the educational service providers for our children. We made a point to talk to each one of them to reassure them that we plan to resume as soon as the pandemic gets under control and it becomes safe for our children. Every single service provider understood and agreed with us in order to keep our children safe, except Sylvan. This includes Kumon! They initially agreed and paused automated billing and they did it for a couple of months but then resumed later without any heads-up. We have already paid them close to $700 for services we never received from them. We have exchanged numerous emails with them and had several phone conversations. Initially after re-assuring us to cooperate, they dishonored their word and now referred us to collection. We feel bad for their business because the pandemic affected them as it did countless other businesses but we cannot afford to continue paying so much money for services we are not able to utilize. We also talked to a few other people whose kids are enrolled at the same center and learned that they allowed them to fill out dis-enrollment forms and discontinued charging for now. Perhaps because their monthly fee was lower than hours, not sure. We are dismayed about Sylvans lack of concern for the safety of our children and their inconsistent approach in dealing with their clients! I wish we had never enrolled our children at Sylvan.

I rate sylvan a 5 because they have been very helpful and they have benefited my children ever since we started. the motivation station helps them keep on track and aim for a goal. All the teachers there have really helped my two children exceed in different subjects in school.

My son loves Math Edge because it goes at his pace. What is even more impressive, he has not complained once about going this summer. He is currently gearing up for Algebra II in the fall so its not easy material. When I pick him up, I see that he smiles and laughs with his instructor. Its great to know that he is learning and having fun learning this summer.

Sylvan Learning is amazing my daughter growth in reading is wonderful the staff is amazing they communicate very well. My daughter loves coming, we have been here 6 months and this is the best investment I have ever made. Kim Beck and her staff are awesome

Great learning material. But, just not for students/learners who learn better through independent study.

Every child has a different study method and learning curve and it takes a good and skilled teacher to be able to help them. Both me and my wife are professionals with post grad college degrees and we tried really hard but couldnt teach our twins, the way they needed to learn.Sylvan Learning center came to rescue. After initial evaluation, they helped my son get started with basics. We were worried that this would be a waste of time for him, but Kim and Jana reassured us that his foundation has to be built strong. We agreed and never questioned them again. They know what theyre doing.My son was afraid of reading, rather hated reading. Now he is reading above his grade level and able to perform really well in his class. We couldnt be happier.Same for our daughter, she dreaded Math. Now shes learning skills above her grade level.The schools nowadays are overcrowded and teachers typically dont have anytime for kids struggling in class. Not all children will be able to learn everything and some will fall behind. Going to Sylvan doesnt mean those kids are any less smarter than others, it only means their way of learning is different and they need 1:1 attention.The classroom is big, clean and quiet. Points system for toys and gifts is very motivating to perform well. Kids Love it.My kids have been going there for 2 yrs and we strongly recommend them. Champion is not born, hes made.If youre still thinking, go meet Kim and Jana, you wont be disappointed.Thank you so much for being there and helping many children like ours.

Sylvan learning center Coppell is an excellent place to teach kids. The staff are so friendly and my son is learning a lot!I recommend this center to all parents! Just try them!

My kids love the learning camps available during the year. Stem camp is wonderful!
