Tony was amazing right from the start. We drove 18 hours to Texas and our transmission decided to die on us day 2 of our trip. We took our van to a dealership and they were ridiculous. My only regret was that we didnβt take our van to all American sooner. He prioritized our vehicle because he knew we really just wanted to get our 4 kids home as soon as possible. Our van was done in 3 days. Probably wouldβve been 2 if the part arrived on time. Tony kept in contact the entire time my van was at his shop. He sent me text messages and pictures every day just to keep me updated and to let me know what step of the process he was in. My family got home safe and sound thanks to him. I highly recommend his shop. Thank you Tony and staff! π
Very honest explained and showed me what was wrong with my car and didnt try to oversell me at all. I will be doing business with them in the future. Highly recommended. Its so hard to find good, honest automotive service. A shining Star in Irving.
Real nice service and fair prices . I highly recommend this place
Had work done here recently and was pleased with the entire experience. Fixed the issue at the price I was quoted and did not try to up sell me on things that werent necessary.
I brought my 69 Chevelle to Frank to rebuild the Muncie 4 speed manual transmission and to do the timing. I made a new friend in the process and Im definitely glad I found out about this place. If you need any work done to your vehicle by trustworthy, knowledgeable people that wont rip you off... Then this is the place!!
Great customer service and they are really good at what they do
The best place in Irving for al your transmission and car service needs Tony is a1 and knowledgeable and most of all fair pricing for quality work
Very professional. Good job. Had 2 cars needing transmission work, they did great!
Honest and straightforward.
So, this is my first time going to this shop, and it wont be my last. I couldnt believe how much I had to pay. =) I needed a brake job on my car, so I went to the other well known shops that fix brakes. After leaving b/c I didnt like the price that they quoted me, I went to All American Transmissions. I was so surprised when they quoted me half of what their competitors quoted me. Besides the customer service being much better at All American, everything else was the same. I had the exact same work that needed to get done. I just dont understand how some places dont mind ripping another person off. Well, I could go on and on, but Im not. I am a person that likes to save money, and appreciates good customer service. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking to get ANY work done on your vehicle. (Apparently they fix much more then just transmissions.)
Best mechanics who have worked on my cars
Always american transmission, honest people and great service.
Hands down the best Automotive & Customer Service in Town... Picked up my car Thursday Morning and had it ready Saturday Afternoon... It was extremely important to have my Car back by Saturday because I needed to get to my kids Birthday party... Tony kept me updated with everything that was going on with the car and what needed to be done... He also went out of his way to send pictures of my car and the needed repairs via Facebook Messenger... Anyone needing any kind of Automotive Service done to their Vehicle, I strongly suggest you call All American Transmissions... This place deserves 10 stars......
Tony and Henry took care of me and the p/u problem...for the time being....good people to deal with....
I always take my Dodge Journey to get repaired here at All American Transmissions! Tony and his crew are top notch professionals in my book!

They had my car for 3 weeks and I paid them 3,000 dollars when I picked the car up they handed me my keys covered in black oil, my carpets on both driver and passenger side were filthy and the center console was sitting crooked, and somewhat lifted from its seems. I didnt say anything to them about that stuff when I was there because I had been without my car too long already and I didnt want them to have it any longer I wanted to get it home most importantly I wanted the transmission to be fixed. So I drive off their lot in Irving and start heading home to North Dallas. Everything was going good the transmission seemed to be working fine but then about 4 miles from my apartment as im leaving from a stop at a red light, accelerating forward like normal, it stalls, unable to go into first gear. I let off the gas reapplied and it pops hard into first gear and it gets moving. But again taking off from the next stop light i had the same issue. But after that second light and after the car was able to start moving then a flapping thumping sound started coming from under the center console. With my arm on the arm rest I could feel that whatever it was it was it was hitting with a great deal of force and it was hitting on constant rotative cycle like a playing card on a bicycle spoke. After that I immediately called All American Transmission and told him what was happening, they said to bring it back in so I did that same day. I dropped it back off at their shop and I had to pick it up the following day. Their explanation for the sound and poor performance was in not so many words that someone forgot to tighten something. I dont know what it was but thats pretty much all he said. Driving home that day there wasnt a thumping noise anymore and accelerating from a stop position seemed smoother, definitely not like it was the day before but still something wasnt completely right with the transmission. there was some resistace and slight jerks when accelerating and switching into second gear and third gear and after a day or two the problem worsened to where I couldnt accelerate normal into any gear. I had to drive the car in slow motion and ease into every gear I had to listen to my transmission more than I could my radio. I convinced myself that this was normal for a refurbished transmission and maybe thats what 3,000 gets you these days. I needed my car for work and I was still paying on the vehicle. I had no choice but to adapt to my cars need for easy gentle turtle like driving to prevent the hard gear transition and popping of the gears. But about a month later Im driving to visit a friend and again while accelerating leaving from stopped position at a red light the car moves forward at first but then stalls. It didnt pop out of gear, I didnt feel or hear anything like that it just seemed to casually loose its ability to move at all but I was able to coast through the light and I got out and pushed the car into a gas station. I let the car rest in the off position for a moment while I gathered my thoughts and my breath and I got back in and it started and I was able to drive the car out and drive it slowly the rest of the way to my friends house which was around the corner. It was pretty late so I couldnt call All American Transmission I cant call anybody that could help me at that point so I spend the night at my friends house the next day I called All American Transmission explained to them what happened and they scheduled a tow truck to pick up my car that afternoon. Before they showed up I wanted to see out of curiosity how the car would start and run or if it would. It started fine and it was going into gear smooth and normal like I had been driving it I drove it up and down 4 blocks around the neighborhood and it did fine. But I still wanted my car checked out. So I didnt have them cancel the tow truck and around the scheduled time without me signing anything I looked out the window and the car was gone. To be continued
This place is great and the people to i bought a car and its a great one with a great price. Thanks tony
On a trip to visit family in Irving the transmission in my car sprung a pretty major leak. I was able to limp it to a family members house. I figured if I refilled the transmission before I rolled out I could probably make it 5-10 miles to a shop. Getting on google maps, All American was in range of where I was, and they had the best reviews. I figured it was worth a shot. The problem was that if they quoted me high, gave me a run around, or the shop threw up a bunch of red flags, I was gonna need to be towed somewhere else. About a block down the road from them is a big national chain place that Id used before back home, but they are pricey. I took my chance and rolled off to All American smoking all the way.By the time I pulled into the parking lot the transmission wasnt engaging at all. Hopefully this would work out. The guys at All American got my car on the rack in about 30 mins on a Friday morning, and checked it out. I watched through the window and could see they were giving it a good once over on the rack to see if it was just a busted seal/gasket or something more. When they came and got me, I knew it wouldnt be good news. They walked me out, showed me what they had found in the pan, and I knew it was replace/rebuild time. I braced myself for the highball hard sell, and had my counter offer ready. Then they hit me a price, that was just a hair north of my counter offer (which was already lower then what I expected to get). I verified that the bid was for everything P&L, warranty, fluid, the whole thing. Yep, everything. It was for a name brand remanufacture, with a 1 year unlimited mileage warranty. Same as Id have gotten down the road with the big national place, but All American was asking way less then the national chain would have. I told them to go ahead, and that if possible could they have it done the next day (Saturday) before they closed? Shouldnt be an issue unless something came up they said.Next day, when I came in I heard the dreaded well the job went over, but it was followed by but I quoted you X so Im only gonna charge you X. That is how you get repeat customers, and 5 star reviews and recommendations. Now obviously a great price wouldnt mean much if the transmission didnt work. A 4 hour road trip in 90+ degree weather, in stop and go traffic on IH35 (thanks TXDOT construction crews), with out a hitch, no leaks, and smooth shifts, means the transmission does work well and they did a good install. For you guys who work on your own cars, your know transmission work is no joke, even a direct replacement can be a pain in the butt.I can without hesitation recommend the crew at All American Transmission, great price, great service, great work.
