Highly recommend Bharmal and Associates for tax prep. This was the first time if used a CPA and will never not use one again for my taxes. After a very complicated tax year Shoaib and his team, I worked specifically with Kate, were incredibly helpful and diligent in making sure that everything was taken care of. Being able to upload all my documents and know that a team of professionals where making sure that everything was prepared properly was such a relief. They turned everything around in a very timely manner. Could not have been a better experience.

He also provided insights into our tax situation to make sure we were getting the credits available to us.His team was great at getting payment and paperwork to us in a timely manner. I think theyre kinda lame and full of themselves. The owner was actually on the phone trying to sell me their service but was kind of condescending. He was like, we do this, this, that, this...and did I miss anything else? I was thinking, man you tell me. Its your service. How would I know.I should rephrase. The owner is full of himself and constantly talks about his experience and the work they had done. I DONT CARE!He quoted me rather quickly and did not really expand much about what the service would include in addition to amending my taxes. They just send me an invoice that simply said, tax amendment, and cost is $xxxx.Not sure whether they couldve delivered but I honestly smelled BS from the beginning with all the were all that speech so I went with someone else that cost less and was more genuine.

I was referred to Bharmal & Associates this year and I couldnt be more pleased with working with them. They are experts in their field and very easy to get in touch with when I had questions or concerns. Their use of an online document portal made sharing documents and information super easy, especially in the time of covid-19. I will definitely be a return client for 2020!

I cannot say enough good things about this company. My husband and I were worried about filing our taxes this year because its the most weve ever made and it was the first year I was filing a Schedule C for my sole proprietorship. We did a free tax/business consultation last year (2020) and were told to call and schedule our tax appointment early this year (2021). Shoaib was very kind and explained everything—including the differences in businesses (sole proprietorship, S Corp, LLC, etc.) and what write-offs would be applicable. When we called them this year (2021) they said theyre asking clients to upload everything so no face-to-face meetings are required. This is brilliant considering the times we live in. My husband and I spent a couple hours uploading docs and within ten days we had the results of our return—and we ended up having to pay half of what we had expected. During those ten days, they even reached out to us because they realized wed benefit from other write-offs we had forgotten about. After looking at the results, Shoaib had a phone meeting with us so we could go over any questions we had. We really feel so grateful to this company (particular Shoaib and Katherine—his assistant) and cant recommend them enough. Their fee was fair compared to other tax companies/accountants, and the service was outstanding. We will be lifelong clients of theirs and forever recommend them to our family and friends.

I recently had an experience in leaving a Limited Liability Partnership, causing me to encounter complex tax issues that I never anticipated.I found Bharmal and Associates because they kept popping to the top of my different online searches. When you read the accolades from those reviews, you would be foolish NOT to give them a call.I called and spoke to a person named Katherine. She is very friendly, easy to talk to, and yet professional and knowledgeable. She explained that they were offering a free (NO COST) 30 minute phone consultation to discuss your needs. They would propose a course of action and give you an estimate of the costs. She set up a phone meeting for me the very next day. I took the initiative to send her some bullet points on my situation to make the best use of the 30 minute free consultation. (time is money)Ismail Bharmal called me at the precise time of the meeting. He was also very friendly and informative. He had looked over those bullet points I sent, so he was already up to speed about what I needed and proposed a plan to meet my needs. We did spend all 30 minutes discussing his company, the expertise of his staff, and my project. Most of all, you could just tell the pride and personal concern he has for his customers satisfaction. That is unique and sealed the deal for me.Bottom line, they finished the work within a couple of business days, and I am absolutely thrilled at their results....I dont write reviews unless someone exceeds my expectations....they did...BIG time!(AND......for a free 30 minute consultation......what do you have to lose?)

I had a tax situation complex to warrant writing a Google Doc about it, and I interviewed several reputed tax professionals. Shoaib was the only one who understood that the best way to give me a quote wasnt the typical free consultation (which he did kindly offer!), but to actually read through the document.Eventually it turned out that my situation wasnt the best fit for the firm, and Shoaib candidly let me know. By comparison, another professional I spoke with told me Yes we have expertise in all these areas, itll be $10k, without much work to truly understand my situation or expand on what that expertise entailed.Much prefer Shoaibs straight up honest approach.

I have used TurboTax to do my Federal and State taxes for years but this year I ran into a problem with a K-1 Statement for a partnership that ended in 2019 and I just couldnt figure it out using TurboTax. I asked Bharmal for help based on all of the great Yelp reviews and I am so glad I did. They made it easy to upload my tax documents and had draft tax returns ready for my review within a few days. Everything was online because of COVID but it wasnt a big deal. The best bit is I ended up paying less tax than I was expecting based on TurboTax. Considering the cost of the software and my time, I think its bye bye TurboTax and hello Bharmal for my taxes from now on.
