Too expensive. They charge $7 for button and $37 to shorten my skirt.

Bunsun alterations is definitely the BEST clothing alteration store in the Iowa City area. The owner is the nicest lady you will ever meet. Gets things done very quickly and very affordable. I have been going here for years and will not go anywhere else! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quick fix or even a tough job within a timely and affordable manner.

I had my white coat for med school taken in by Bunsun. The tailor is very nice. Any impression that she is impolite is simply because she isnt very talkative. The work was done on time for a fair price and it looks great. Ill definitely be back.

Needed a zipper repaired on a pair of dress pants. They had it fixed and back to new in a few minutes. Highly recommend!

I recently went to Bunsun to have them shorten the length of a suit jacket Id purchased, a process which involved cutting fabric off of the bottom. The front corners of the jacket are rounded, so it was a very delicate operation that other tailors in the area refused to do. Bunsun didnt balk at the task and did a great job for a great price. I will definitely be back!

Unfortunately I had high hopes but instead got a $70 shirt ruined and paid a lot for not much to actually change on the things I brought in. This was my first time doing alterations as an adult so its the only experience I have but the price did come across as overpriced for how simple the work was :/

I got my homecoming dress at the last minute and needed to shorten it. I asked if I could have it done in 2 days and she said she would have it done the next day with no extra charge because I was a first time customer. She is such a nice lady I would recommend her to anyone who needs quick alterations done! Also the price was way cheaper than any other alteration places in town!

I had a dress to alter for a wedding. The lady there was very friendly and got my dress done in time for the wedding without extra charge. Great quality work! Would definitely recommend!

Went in to have a dress shirt taken in. The lady took measurements and marked where it needed to be hemmed and told me it would be $20. I came back one week later and she gave me my shirt and told me it was $20. Before I paid for it, I wanted to try on the shirt to make sure everything was okay. It wasnt! One sleeve was skin tight while the other was somewhat baggy. I told her about it and asked if she could let it out because she took it in too much. The problem was she cut off the extra material! Even if the job was done right, I still would have been slightly upset. Youre supposed to leave the extra fabric in case something happens, such as weight gain. She tried to fix the mistake, but the damage was done. She gave back my shirt and told me I didnt have to pay for the alteration. Really? I dont have to pay for the alteration you screwed up? How thoughtful... I cant even wear the shirt now.Very low quality work.

I needed two plain cotton sundresses taken in a couple inches (just straight seams down the sides), and after pinning everything, she told it would be $70 for both or $40 for one. I have had this same alteration done at other tailors who charged no more than $15 per dress. When I told her I was a student and couldnt afford that, but would help take all the pins out so I wasnt taking any from her, she got very angry with me. I understand her frustration, but based on how she responded and how expensive it was, I will not return.
