I learned of the Home Video Studio in 1994 then Hanley Video Duplication and last November I found my original tape Robert made and I looked him up and he was still in business. I took him my VHS copy and he transferred it to DVA (Digital Video Archive) a.k.a. the Cloud and a DVD. I just found another old tape I need transferred and dropped it off today. I highly recommend Home Video Studios and Robert is your man to get the job done!!
I sent in my wedding VHS video to be converted to a DVD. I paid all costs up front. I was told it will take 4 weeks to get it converted and sent back to me. It is now 7 weeks and I have not heard or received anything. I have emailed, texted, and left voicemail. It is perfectly alright for a process to take longer than expected but please communicate.
I would not recommend Home Video Studio. I had many SD cards from my video camera that I asked to be converted to DVD. Upon conversion, many of them were transferred chronologically out of order onto the DVD. Some had half the scene cut off from the SD card to the DVD. When I called (multiple times) and finally got a hold of someone, they refused to fix them without charging again for them and the man who answered was very rude. Theyve lost my business. I second going to Movie Tyme Video Productions. They get them in order and get back to you promptly.
I cant say for sure, as we havent seen the videos, you said we will have them by the end of month. Thank you, dale
Absolutely devastated and upset that I chose to go with this service. Now I am unsure if this is a legitimate business. I paid for digital converting services upfront in January, shipped my VHS tapes a couple weeks later, and now its May and I still have yet to receive what I paid for. Have emailed Robert, the owner, three times, with no response or update. Called several times and finally connected with him once over the phone in March and promised delivery the next week. Still nothing and no response since. My recommendation to anyone reading this review is to not fall victim to this guy and his services and to choose a more legitimate service with a guarantee and some sort of assurance that you will get what you paid for. After all, these are your memories. Theyre irreplaceable and I am absolutely upset and devastated that Ive lost these memories forever.
Excellent, I sent a damaged VCR tape, they repaired the tape and produced a top notch DVD
Every business could learn a lesson in customer service from Robert at Home Video Studio. Heres how he managed to turn a negative customer experience into a 5-star review. So five days after the date by which I was supposed to have my job completed, I still did not have anything. I contacted Robert. He apologized, said he would complete the job overnight and have them delivered to my home the next day.Not only did he deliver them, he refunded a large portion of my cost, fixed a broken tape for free, and included in the final delivery a $100 gift certificate for future work.I will definitely be referring business to him.
I took one 50 Super 8 tape in for transfer to Mpeg with an added audio track. I was quoted $160. I said that was a lot more than I was quoted on the phone when I called. He said Well thats the price! I said his pricing was deceiving to which he disagreed and he let me walk out the door. I found a nice Movie Tyme Video place in the area who is doing the job for $75. Less than half of Well thats the price! Ive ran my own business for 19 years and no one has ever walked out my door upset because I dont pull the old bait and switch! I hope they enjoy this review...they certainly earned it!
We had a death in the family and were in a hurry to get some old movies transfered to dvd, the stafff at Home Video Studio went way out of their way to get this done for us. The video is really great and we could not of ask for anything more. When we showed the video at the memorial service there were a lot of tears, and laughter. We could not be more satisfied with the service and the staff. GREAT JOB. Thank you so much. Jim and Becky
