The equipment I rented worked great. I wish they had a little bigger boom lift but besides that it was good for what I needed.

Machine quit working right. They got me a new rental. Let me know it wasnt my fault. I came in distressed and left thankful with my hope restored.

K&R Tool Shed is a hidden gem. They have a good selection of equipment, great prices and friendly staff.The only reason I refrained from providing a full five stars was because it took a really long time to find/prepare the reservation. And the equipment was functional but not in perfect condition.

Staff is very friendly and they have just about any tool you can imagine to rent. For jobs big and small.

Rented a two man post hole digger. Equipment ran well and blade was sharp. Be sure to get a receipt when you check it in as I was surprised at the additional charges added to the base rate. My $80 rental was over $96 dollars on my charge card

Had a bad experience at the tool shed. The Machine broke down on me before rental time was up. I was told I would get a discount the next time I rented the machine. Was told over the phone I would get the discount but when I took the machine back I was charged full price. Owner said he would not honor the discount after he told me he would. I won’t be back, also called the bbb and filed a complaint. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, it’s just bad business practice. To many other places you can rent tools.

I have actually been a customer of K&R Toolshed for many years however this is the first opportunity I have had to review them. I rented a Bobcat to clean up my yard after the June 15th Tornado in Beech Grove took out several of my mature trees. I planned the initial rental over a weekend to maximize time but needed to keep the Bobcat for an extended period. When I was presented with the bill there was a three hundred dollar charge for “insurance”. Mind you I am a business; I have insurance coverage of my own and it was never disclosed to me on pick-up that it was needed, whether I had my own or if I wanted it at all. It was just placed as a charge and he refused to remove it.I also rented a wood-chipper. The “wood-chipper” was a joke. I advise that if you have anything over a 1” branch, don’t waste your money. The Chinese junk couldn’t handle anything produced from the tornado and was a better noisemaker than chipper. I am skeptical it can be accurately called a commercial unit, suitable for rental on big jobs.As for the Bobcat, it had an after-market grapple bucket (requested) that ran on auxiliary hydraulics that had two hoses from the arm to the bucket for cylinders. It had been torn up previously and had an obvious “repair” done to it. These are in an unsafe spot to begin with and easily see harm. Because of the hack repair they weren’t properly protected and were damaged under normal conditions. Since it was a weekend I had to fix them myself and did. I returned it with new hoses and routed much more securely.As I mentioned I am a business and while I don’t rent on a steady basis when I do it is from K & R. At least was from K & R. When I extended my rental I only needed it for a couple more days but the only option was a week. I asked if we could turn the rental from a day to a week meaning it would be returned 7 days from my initial pick-up. They refused and insisted that the one-day charge would stand and the week would be additional. Mind you a one-day rental is half (nearly) the cost of a week. Now I know he didn’t have to but it sure would’ve been the kind of thing I do for (and to keep long-term) customers by rolling the one-day to a week. Instead he decided to maximize his rental and get one day plus one week. I kept it till just under the wire; he would have had it exactly three days later had he given me the week (if you’re counting that’s one day early (on a Friday before a holiday weekend too) to rent again.No more for me……Sunbelt here I come or McCallister’s; at any rate between the BS insurance charge and the week extension I’ll pay more to someone else from here on out. And that’s on ANYTHING I will rent.

These guys are the absolute best! I show up in my F350 and they help me load. I show up in my BMW and they deliver. I need ramps, they have them. I tell them I am tilling around roots and they give me extra shear pins. There arent enough words to describe how this is the best rental place in town.

The customer service is exceptional. They adequately explain the proper use of the machinery for rent and provide all the necessary safety equipment to operate it.

My youngest son was having problems with a basement drain very helpful with advice.

Rented a small trencher to repair pole light in our front yard. Machine worked well and staff very accommodating.

These guys have taken care or our companies needs for years.. We bought a Sthil commercial leaf blower that burnt out after 4 months and instead of repairing it under warranty, they just gave me a new unit which still works well after 4 seasons .... They have also sold me a heavy duty honda generator ...much better than I could buy at Lowes, and have tuned it up for 8 seasons.. Great service and good guys...
