Jake was a consummate professional during the entire inspection and sweep process. He was polite, knowledgeable, efficient and thorough. He took the extra time to show me detailed photos of the interior and exterior chimney structure and components and explained what needed immediate attention vs. what were considered minor defects and something to keep an eye on. Instantly, they seemed like a fit for my needs.Sam, Emelie, Jake, Nolan and the rest of the crew didnt prove me wrong.They were so efficient, timely (even when I wasnt), and professional. Levi was my first contact with Clean Sweep 317. He was very mannerable and I believe gave me creditable information and saved me unnecessary cleaning bill. He did Identify major siding damage while inspecting my chimney which was going to cause a major leak (found out after I had roofing company come out). However I did need chimney cover.When Levi and Noah arrived they were professional and prompt it was raining the day of my scheduled worked, they called ahead of time to inform me they had watched the weather and it was going to clear up and they would still come after rain stopped. Most of all I appreciate Levi identifying the damage siding.

Clean Sweep 317 investigated a long-term water leak problem that Id been trying to resolve for many years. I built the house, and this problem was never resolved until Clean Sweep inspected it, tested it to confirm their inspection results, repaired it, and then tested again to verify theyd fixed it. It wasnt cheap, but I now have a dry chimney stack, attic, and family room fireplace for the first time since the house was built. My once or twice yearly leaking problem hasnt reappeared in the 12 months since they finished their work. Im writing this review on 3/28/21, the after we had a very serious storm front move through that dumped several inches of rain and about 1/2 inch of hail, in about 1 hour. No leaks. I highly recommend this company and will use them again if needed.

I dont normally write reviews but I was extremely impressed by the technicians that inspected and cleaned our fireplace. They helped us find a gas log and they installed it as well. Their technicians spent several hours inspecting our chimney & fireplace inside and out including the attic and on the roof. They helped to eliminate the nasty smell we were getting that another well known chimney sweep was unable to remove. They took pictures of everything and reviewed them with me via an iPad and explained our issue. Emily was very professional when calling to schedule, follow up etc. Sam the owner was extremely professional and supported his technicians through the process. Clean Sweep 317 did a fantastic job for us. Originally we simply wanted a damper installed to enable us to have a ventless gas log set put in. They started with an inspection and determined that the fireplace as it was constructed would not be appropriate for a ventless system. This not only saved us a great deal of needless cost, it was invaluable from a safety perspective since using a ventless system under these conditions would have been overly risky. I cant say enough about their professionalism and, more importantly, the education they provided me. I will now be able to move to a different solution that will be safe while still providing us the solution we have been seeking. Five stars!!

I needed a damper installed in my chimney. Another chimney repair company told me they could install the damper, but that I had cracks in the tile, so I also needed a flue liner installed, plus the smoke chamber parged. I had viewed the other companys video of my flue and felt that the cracks they had identified were not cracks at all (perfectly vertical, thin lines, evenly spaced), but simply production lines in the clay tile.I called Clean Sweep 317 for a second opinion. They confirmed by video (and then got on the roof and did a visual inspection) that there were no cracks in the tile and it was not necessary to reline the flue. They installed a damper and parged the smoke chamber; the total cost of the work done was half what the other company wanted to charge me.They arrived on time, and were respectful of my home and yard, and friendly to my large dog. They were courteous and efficient in their work, and even sent me photos of the completed work (since I didnt want to climb on the roof or into the smoke chamber). Very pleased with the work they did. Their service and response times were excellent. I highly recommend this company.

Although the findings were hard to hear, the inspection was very thorough. They were in the attic, in the crawl space, and on top of the roof. My 18 year old chimney had to be rebuilt from the roofline up. I picked these guys because they were recommended to me by a client/friend who used them to rebuild their chimney. They actually started earlier than was expected which was great because I was ready and waiting for them. It took a couple days longer than expected but I realize Im not living in a perfect world so its cool. The clean up was good. I think the workmanship looks good and I can say that I would use them again.

Clean Sweep 317 repaired our chimney and restored it beautifully. It was a difficult job on a hillside. They work very hard and diligently and completed all repairs with total site cleanup in 6 days (lost 1.5 to 2 days due to torrential rain with thunder/lightening). I was in need of a great deal of work on two chimneys. It required the tear down of a good majority of each chimney. Sam came out, inspected and said it did not need a cleaning, so he recommended that I call Living Social for a refund. On January 11, 2019 Clean Sweep 317 came to my house to sweep the chimney and firebox. Emelie (in the office) answered all my questions and concerns and even sent a reminder email of the appointment.I was very pleased with Dan, who explained what he was going to do - including how he would keep my living room clean of soot - which it was. He was efficient and polite even calling me to say traffic was horrible and he would arrive a tiny bit past the appointment time. It was only 8 minutes past, but I appreciated the call. I wanted a bit more detail on my sales receipt and again, Emelie responded quickly to my request. I gladly recommend Clean Sweep 317.February 27, 2019 - The buyers of my home wanted a home inspection. Those inspectors said there was creosote buildup and the firebox was cracked even though I had not had any fires this year and I had had it serviced in January, 2019. I reached out to Clean Sweep 317 and Emelie immediately responded. Dan Field came out that day to re-inspect - practically crawling inside the chimney! Dan stated that he and Clean Sweep 317 stand by the original report - and I concur. Thank you, Dan, for your quick response and documentation to rebut the inspection report.

He came and the cleaned. Did not make a mess and very knowledgeable. They were down a tech, so owner of company was out cleaning. Have to dig that!

Sams crew did an excellent job repairing and replacing bricks on two chimneys on my house. He did an excellent job of matching the brick. His hired brick layers damaged a part of my new synthetic deck, but he had it repaired at his cost. Sam is very knowledgeable about chimney damage and causes and offers several alternative cost wise. My only criticism is that his crew did not do a good job of cleaning up chipped brick and mortar from my planting area. Otherwise, he did an excellent job.

Sam and his crew are very professional, always on time, and most importantly they are excellent workers! My house was built in 1920 and both chimneys were starting to deteriorate due to moisture from the inside and rain. I received an estimate within a day of me calling Sam. He explained the work that needed to be done and he gave me multiple options to choose from. Sam and his crew had to remove a lot of brick rows and rebuild at least 12 rows of brick. They did an excellent job in preserving the original brick to both save me money and preserve the character of the house! You will not regret hiring these experts!

Found Clean Sweep 317 by chance. I had originally hired Chimney Masters LLC to do an inspection as well as repair a damaged damper clip that had already been located Chimney Masters hired Clean Sweep to do the work, since Chimney Masters is closing down.Sam from clean sweep called me a couple hours before my appointment time, and let me know he was ahead of schedule, and asked if I would like him to come early. During this conversation, we learned that Chimney Masters had dropped the ball, and failed to tell Clean Sweep about the damper repair, which is the only reason I made this appointment in the first place.Sam went out of his way to review my home inspection report to figure out exactly what it was that I needed repaired he then went and got the part (as well as a new gas ignition key) and still made it here promptly. He was very respectful, and genuinely friendly. Got my gas fire place cleaned up, tested, and situated to working order. Even took time to teach me stuff about gas fire places I didnt know. (Never thought someone could make me fascinated with different aspects of a simple gas fire place... But I was intrigued!)Because of this work ethic, I had NO hesitation booking them for additional work on issues that were found during the inspection process (which was efficient but didnt take up any more of my time then necessary).Definitely recommend!

I had a wonderful experience with chimney sweep 317! I had scheduled an inspection of my chimney since we bought our house and have not been able to use it. Sam came exactly on time, and was very thorough. He took his time, took many pictures to show me exactly what was going on, and explained everything to me. I sent a message through their website one evening and got a response early the next day from Noah. Noah gave me an estimate and let me know they could be out the next day. Noah was very courteous over the phone. The next day Sam and Noah both came out and inspected our wood burning fireplace, which did not need to be cleaned at this time. Sam advised he could go ahead with the cleaning or he could just do the inspection, if we wanted it. I decided to just go with the inspection. Sam did a thorough inspection inside the firebox, flue, etc and then proceeded to go outside and up on the roof for further exterior inspection. Sam is very knowledgeable and courteous. There were a few issues that need to eventually be addressed and I will definitely be giving them a call back.
