Witnessed one of the most unethical business practices I have ever seen. Overcharged an elderly customer who had a Corolla rental for just under 2 months. Charged him over $3,400! When he asked for the specifics of his bill, he was told by Phil and Steven (management team?) that his daily rate was $28. This was an outright lie to the customer! The real rate was over $40. I had to speak up for him and in doing so, Phil and Steven tried to kick me out of the store. Amazing! I was there to help the customer because he bought a new Toyota Corolla from me and needed assistance getting the new car home because his other car was parked at SIXT back lot. I do NOT recommend this rental company for anyone looking for a rental!

We rented a mid sized suv with 3rd row seating. It was a nice enough vehicle for two adults, four kids and two dogs to drive from Indy to Texas for a week. Yes, after that drive the car needed cleaned. With some road trip trash, dog hair and road grime, I get it. It will take more than a quick run through a car wash.The problem is I paid $1,400 for the rental. How is it justifiable to hit my debit card a week later with a $142 cleaning fee? How is that not included?
If I could post 0 stars I would! We were traveling from Missouri to Michigan and broke down on I-69. After a 2 hour wait for a tow truck, a quick trip to a shop after hours and 3 phone calls to the automated line at sixt to triple check my reservation we got the shop tech to drive us to sixt with 3 minutes left before they closed only to find out that 1. They do not rent to out of state residents 2. They wanted a credit card, not a debit card and 3. They wanted to charge a $200 security deposit on top of the price I was quoted on the phone 3 TIMES!!!!! NONE of these things were told to me before I rushed in their door. And to top it off the lady behind the desk was kinda rude. I had to sit down because I felt sick and I was crying and they could of cared less! Save yourself and your sanity by going somewhere else!!!!!
They will charge you a month after you rented and returned the car and will not provide a reason, and if you send an email to inquire about the charge they will not respond. You can not talk on the phone to a representative as the automated service will not allow you to. when you go to pick the car up they make you put AN EXTRA $200 as a “security deposit” after you already paid for the car IN FULL, but oh dont worry you will get that money back when you return the car but that money was supposed to be spent on the vacation. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM EVER
BEWARE: MAKE SURE TO READ THE FINE PRINT.Indiana Sixt locations region restrict their cars to Indiana and the 4 surrounding states. Driving outside of those states will result in a 50 cent charge per mile driven. Having such a ridiculous policy( even compared to other states sixt locations) this should be made aware in big bold letters when checking out, not hidden in tiny print in the rental policy. Will never be using Sixt again.
The Sixt location on 96th St in Indianapolis was the absolute best experience I have ever had in the history of rental cars! Steven and Breanna have the best customer service and personable attitudes, and while I walked in very exhausted from traveling for a family funeral, I walked out of this Sixt location with a ginormous grin because of Breanna and Steven. Ive never before been treated so humanely at a rental car agency, and if I lived closer, Id definitely be returning to them every time I needed a rental. Thank you so much for treating me with kindness, sharing in humour, and just giving me the most wonderful experience overall!
I had to get some warranty work done on my VW so I was referred to this rental agency by Tom Wood Volkswagen as they had no courtesy vehicles available. I was under the impression the cost of the rental was supposed to be covered by the dealership, but when I arrived Steve told me otherwise and I was charged $130 for a one day mid-sized car rental. Upon speaking with Tom Wood VW about the situation I was informed I should have only been charged around $35. Turns out Steve didn’t do his due diligence and never applied the purchase order Tom Wood sent to them to cover the cost of my rental. When I talked with Phil the next day he was completely apathetic and passed Sixt’s mistakes off on Tom Wood VW. First and last time I’ll deal with Sixt, hands down the worst rental experience I’ve had. If you have the choice steer clear of Sixt and go the the Enterprise down the street. Shout out to Noah for excellent customer service, maybe the managers should learn from him.

Overall great experience! We actually needed to rent two cars through Sixt this week. In both cases pick-up and drop-off were quick and easy, and the staff was extremely helpful. Both of the cars we rented were spotless inside and out. We will use Sixt again!

I am not really sure what happened to my review, it asked me if I wanted to post after I had written a review on their website and then didn’t post a review. Overall my experience was not horrible, I booked months in advance so I got a decent price, however upon checking closer to my travel dates I would have been spending almost 3 times as much as what I booked for in January so that’s something to consider if you’re planning on traveling. The blonde woman who checked me in was fantastic. She was competent and answered any questions I had, she was even able to give me other options for travel insurance that was cheaper than what they were trying to charge me which I really appreciate. I was told to park in the back of the parking lot behind the building and then I could leave my car there during my trip. Upon arriving back a saw that my car had been broken into. My change was stolen out of my cupholder and stuff was moved around but nothing of value was left when we left/taken. I went inside and told the gentleman that was working that someone had broken into my car and immediately he goes “we aren’t liable”. I never said anything about holding anybody liable, I just was trying to let him know because if they are having customers park back there or parking their cars back there I felt they should be aware that there was an issue. He then proceeds to tell me that he’s been working there for three months and never had anything like that happen and “why would they break into my car“ when there are a lot of 2021 cars back there. I have a 2005 Kia Sportage that you can tell is very much used. I don’t have the mentality of a thief but it would make sense to me that they would go for cars that people leave instead of rental cars they know are empty? I don’t know if it’s someone that works there or maybe at the dealership breaking into cars or what but I do feel if they are telling customers to leave their vehicles in a certain area it would make sense to maybe put a camera pointing that way just in case. I probably would book through Sixt again if I was able to get a deal like I had before. Otherwise I would maybe check other options first.

Experience overall was great, the staff was very friendly and the car was brand new. Weren’t pushy trying to sell extras. My only issue (minor at that) was I requested a Mercedes two weeks prior to my trip. Ended up with an Audi, however was still pleased. Will rent again

Ripped me off for $451.00 in additional fees 3 months after I turned the POS car in. I paid for a full size car and received a compact. I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere.

Online reservation is easy and pickup is abotu 2-5 minutes with the knowledgeble staff - vehicles always ready, clean and service is so much beyond the other rental agencies anywhere. 5 Stars. I cant recommend this Sixt location enough.
Poor service from the onset, double booked error by Jasmine African American young lady, which held $850 authorization hold fees for 14 days causing additional inconveniences.The manager Phil promised me a %40 discount off my future rental which never happened and in speaking with him doesnt recall and has yet to honor his agreement with me a frequent customer.I really believe it was discrimination because I was an African-American man a lot of businesses seem to treat me that way in that area

I’m frustrated with @sixtusa Indy at 96th St. I got a deal for a RAV4, Tiguan or Terrain, but I received Mitsubishi Outlander (It’s not on the proposal, advertising and my reservation). I think its a different category. Outlander is Extremely noisy cockpit, very poor performance engine, poor load capacity, blinds spots (No indicators on mirrors) uncomfortable, etc. It has ruined my road trip. I won’t rent again with you.

I don’t like the fact that I’ve been renting from this company for about 3 months spent a whole lot of money with them to be told without a utility bill I can’t rent another car. Hypothetically Speaking what If I was homeless or living with someone and needed transportation to get to and from work and taking my kids where they need to go. I don’t like that rule at all.
They haven’t giving me my security deposit. Crazy thing is me and the specialist walk around the car and everything and all was in order but they still haven’t given me my deposit back yet. Them and Enterprise are getting worse

This was my first time renting from anyone other than Enterprise. I was extremely blown away with the ease of booking and the quality of vehicles they offer. I requested a Range Rover Velar but it was not available. They put me in a 2019 Audi Q7 instead and it was such a treat. I will definitely rent from here again and I recommend them to anyone. The staff over the phone as well as in person were very friendly. The rep at the counter a young African American woman was very professional and personable. They answered all of my questions in detail and made sure I left happy. Overnight drop-off was super easy as well!
They honored a great rate I booked ahead of time with them through one of the travel sites. The pick up wait time supplemented with the app checkout support really cut down on my processing time. They allowed me to extend a day without hassle, and the drop off window was a little more flexible than I have experienced elsewhere. More importantly the midsize car turned out to be a Subaru Forester which was bigger and safer than I expected getting and I really enjoyed driving it!
Took my car into Audi today for a regular scheduled check up & requested a loaner, which was not available. Audi’s backup is Sixt Rent A Car, which I’ve used before via Audi.Sixt was a little busy, but as usual with excellent service, the agent said they’ll be right with those of us in line. I noticed a young black woman, Jasmine, who was assisting the agents for a smooth transition of each customer. I can’t remember the gentleman who took me out to check out the details of the car, but he also provided excellent service.Next time I’m looking to rent a car I’ll call Sixt Rent A Car first.Thanks, David C

This was one of the best rental car experiences I’ve ever had. I was able to pick a category online so I knew I would get a certain car. Pick up was very easy. I got the car that was in my selection and drop off was a breeze. I will definitely be using them again.

Rented from Sixt at this location twice (4 times from Sixt total) and it was great. Clean new vehicles, great loyalty program (just 3 rentals to get Gold status and its perks), friendly service. Got upgraded to a better car two times (one in Seattle, one here) out of four because they didn’t have the car I reserved. Loved it. Drop-off can be done after office closes - just put the keys in the box. Mobile app is easy to use and well designed. Thats how car rental should be. All at the same or even lower price than competitors. Sixt makes Budget or Avis look really pitiful.

Faulty advertising - 2 different kind of SUVone kind with SUV Picture for $41one kind with Jeep picture for $59So I chosen the Jeep for $59/day for 2days which $119. When I come and pick up they give me Mitsubishi SUV 4 cylinders with no power to pick up and very light car …. very disappointed.I want a tall car - I dont care what SUV it is but I saw picture of the jeep so that why I pay expensive for the jeep ...only word they say : I am sorry and the car is similar to the jeep ....I call customer service for 3 hours waiting on the phone and still not get to customer services line so I am giving up because it is Saturday and so dangerous on the road,,,, so next time remember if you need a tall car just order the cheap one first then when you pick up you can ask for an upgrade ....

Very rude customer service attendant. Just so everyone is aware that the driver must be the one paying for the rental. Ive never had this problem at any other rental location. I do not drive, but my husband does, therefore when setting up the reservation, I added him as the driver. I explained this to the attendant, but she informed me that is could be fraud. Again, I feel the need to show that both my husband and I were at the location with proper identification. Anyway agree to disagree on the matter, we canceled my reservation and rebooked under his name- they did not honor the price of first booked vehicle and put us in a larger vehicle than initially rented. We arrived at 7:30 am; there were plenty of vehicle options. It will take up to 30 days for my refund to be issued. Needless to say, Im not a happy customer and will not use this service in the future. Warning for all other who book, you do not get what you paid for online.
I was very happy with the service I received at Sixt. I first contacted them because they had the least expensive rates. I expected to pay a premium because I was picking up the car the day before Thanksgiving. But I was pleasantly surprised to get one of the best rates I have ever had on a rental. Their customer service was what every business should strive for. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Excellent experience.

They charged an extra $272 for smoking in the vehicle. The rental agent behind the desk took a picture of an air freshener on the ground and blurry pics of ashes on the floor of the car. She was upset because my husband complained about the car he received and mentioned her name to management for rude service. So when he returned the car she lied and said he smoked in the car. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card because customer service would not remove the charge. So therefore they will never get our business again

Nice cars but Zero flexibility, I called as soon as they opened 7:30 to ask for an additional 30 minutes so I could make my business meeting. They would not give it to me without charging a full extra day. I have used other rental companies in the past allowing for more flexibility and better service. I am more than happy to pay extra but not a whole day for a half hour. I left my meeting early to get the car in before 9:06am.
Very poor service. If you willing to pay for previous damages, then this is your place, otherwise go elsewhere. Just rented a van from here, and was told there was damage on the luggage rack after returning. Never even used it, and have no way to if I wanted. They immediately asked about it upon returning, very shady business here.

I rented a Hyundai Tucson from Sixt on December 26th, 2019. During the pre-inspection checklist the sales agent noted a number of scratches on the vehicle. She said, I am sorry, we dont notice these things until we run it through the wash. She noted the scratches on the left side of the vehicle and I signed the checklist. The car also smelled like marijuana. I stopped at a gas station on my way out of town, and noticed a large chunk of tire missing from the left rear tire. I called Sixt and requested an exchange on my vehicle. I brought the Tucson back, and they rented me a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander. The new sales agent noted a scratch on the back of the car, and told me he thoroughly inspected the tires for damage, and noticed none. I signed the checklist and was on my way.When I returned the vehicle, I individual checking the car back in noted the scratch on the back of the car. She asked me if I had a copy of the checklist for the Outlander. It was at this point I realized the agent who rented me the Outlander failed to give me a copy of the report. They could not locate the checklist while I was in the office returning the vehicle. They requested I fill out an insurance incident report, and I declined as I was not responsible for scratching the car. They filed a claim against my insurance, without contacting me first. I disputed the claim, and requested the checklist for the Outlander, they provided me a checklist for the Tucson. The same scratches on the side of the car that the original agent noted, and small damage to the windshield. The note on the checklist even stated, exchanged vehicle due to tire damage. They are attempting to pass the Tucson check-list off for the Outlander.I am still in the dispute process of this exchange, but buyer beware, these vehicles are not well maintained, they do a poor job of keep records of the damage done to the vehicle, and try to hold anyone they can responsible.Also, while I was driving, the sun glass holder in the ceiling of the Outlander fell and hit me on the head, while I was driving on the highway 500 miles away from my home.I have only ever rented vehicles from Enterprise, and I am sorry I deferred to such a poorly run franchise.

Decided to rent from you guys due to the due to the rates. My niece who is 5 months old is having heart surgery in Atlanta. So I decided to book a rental car so that I was able to make it to her surgery. I got three different emails none of which had an address. When I get to the wrong address they tell me that I need to go to the other location that is 40 minutes away. When I make it to the other location the manager Dallas was extremely unprofessional and rude. Nowhere in those emails did it tell me that I needed a $200 security deposit. Nowhere in those emails or booking process did it tell me that I needed a utility bill. The miscommunication via email was one thing, but the rudeness and non caring of making things right is what turns me off completely!! I will NEVER even consider renting from yall ever again! Id rather pay twice as much for better customer service!!!!!!!!

Excellent customer service as always. Convenient location, nice facility, helpful staff, quick and prompt service, low mileage and well maintained cars. Customer parking is available for those wishing to leave their cars at the facility, and after hours key drop also possible, but the facility is closed on Sunday and reservations end time cannot be set during closed hours
Poor customer service!! Not the place for non people of color to rent from. Was treated extremely disrespectfully by the rental agent. Her manager was there and did nothing! Did not have the car I paid for and then acted very arrogant about it. Drove 20 miles to get there and couldn’t even get into the place because of construction on 96th st. Poorly run operation overall!!

Rented a minivan for a weekend trip. Pickup went smooth, in and out within a few minutes. Used the key drop box when I returned the vehicle after hours. Paid a good price and the vehicle was perfect for our familys needs that weekend.

Ive rented through Sixt un other states, and the service was excellent, unfortunately the service at this discutido branch was not the best.I was charged re-booking fee and the manager Jazmine told me they couldnt credit even tho she verified she didnt understand why I was charged that, then she proceeded to tell me to simply email bc if I call I wouldnt get anywhere.I was credited back, just a hassle. This should be something they should handle in the branchJasmines attitude is really what made the whole experience bad, she was sitting down the entire time, was not personable. She is the reason I will not return.

Wow, where do I even begin. After my last rental car experience being an epic nightmare, we decided to look up reviews before booking. Sixt had some of the best reviews so we decided to give them a shot. From start to finish the process was very smooth. No wait at the airport counter, the shuttle was fast and then when getting to the car we just got the keys and drove off. Literally start to finish took about 30 minutes, which is the fastest we have ever experienced. The sales person did not try to upsell us on upgrades or unneeed insurance. From start to finish was very pleased. Highly recommended.

Office agent gave me 1 hour grace period as per company policy and i came right on time. Later i got the receipt that i over extended my rental by 4 minutes and included next day rental in bill as well. This is so shocking! i had always been Enterprise customer and this is the first time i tried Sixt and gave other agency a shot... Surely itll be my LAST time!
While the people there were quite friendly and the environment was nice, I believe that we paid for a vehicle that we didnt get. I guess it comes down to what you consider a full sized SUV.

Sixt was so helpful! I had gotten a car that was not going to work for the 4 car seats I needed from hertz while my car was in the shop after an accident. Sixt quickly got me a van, and they helped me get the car seats over into the rental van so I could install them.
Nice vehicles. Good rates. Pleasant Sixt employees. When I picked up my vehicle which was a nice GMC Yukon, the exterior was dirty. Interior was clean. I returned vehicle 2 hours early. No inspection done upon my return.Shortly after my return of the Yukon, I got an email from Sixt with an attached photo of damage to the bumper tow hitch cover. Sixt wanted to know if I had made a report with my insurance company for the damage and if not they could assist with that. I had that damage documented on my pre-damage rental form.I emailed Sixt back and let them know it was reported prior to my taking possession. After I sent my reply, within 2 hours or so, I got a vague reply back thanking me for my quick response and that they reviewed the pre-damage document and thanked me for using Sixt.No apologies for emailing me accusing me of the damage prior to reviewing the pre-damage report.
Rental car provided instead of courtesy car by Tom Wood Audi. Process was fast and easy once wait to get to the agent was completed.
A terrible company that I will never do business with again. Returned the car on the appointed date but close to closing time. The workers did not process my return until the following Monday, which caused the insurance I paid $9 a day for to become invalid, leaving me with a $400 bill for a rock that hit the windshield. Had the Sixt staff actually processed my return before Monday, my claim would have sailed through.I am so disgusted with Sixt. They are lazy and terrible. I would NEVER recommend anyone go to them. Also, a windshield replacement costs no more than $250 but Sixt added another extra-profit $150 for unspecified handling. Totally NOT recommended!
Vegas was soo great!! Staff was on point with everything !! Friendly and clean !! We also had an option between minivans and ofcourse we choose the Pacifica!! So thank you and I will be recommending my friends and family to them!!
Car prices are reasonable, but prepare to pay an extra $200 deposit plus $22/day if you dont carry full coverage on your own car. Had to walk out wothout a car today because I font have the almost $1000 its going to cost to rent a car for 2 weeks while I wait on an insurance claim.

Absolutely horrible customer relations and service. Avoid them at all costs. I made a reservation and needed to cancel it. I tried to do that through the app and got an error message saying to call the 888 number or send them an email. I called the number and it said to make the cancellation using their website. I attempted to cancel via the website and it said to send them an email. Ive sent three emails with ZERO response. I called the number back, went through phone tree hell, waited on hold for fifteen minutes only to be told that I have to send an email! Aaaagggghhh!!! Do not rent from them. Customer service is nonexistent.
Sixt was absolutely fantastic when I rented a car in Seattle on vacation. Great cars. Great service. Ill be using Sixt again for sure!
Very bad and sad...merely a rip off company. Be Aware to sign any paper with them. They do not show or mention you total amount to be charged and they will take your signature to make fool of you. My contract was for $192.00 for week and additional driver of $69.99 but they send bill of $450 charging extra for additional driver $119 more to $69.99. They hide total amount to get your signature. Manager does not want to take responsibility of Extra charges made without mentioning or stating that I will be extra charge for additional driver. It is The manager who said/ mentioned, it is only $10/ day extra for additional driver. I even filled up gas full tank from right across gas pump and they charged additional $20 for fuel also. Whoever booking from Sixt need to be aware of these kind of situation. Manager keep saying that we signed the paper and tries to catch you on the basis of signature without letting you know total amount or additional charges. They should let you know of any additional charges made & must be acknowledged by customer, but did never stated it and the Total amount. First but last and will tell the world just be careful and do not go by their word only, coz you will receive a doubled billed amount as your token of love (Reciept)
I rented a car for 30 days, they wrote the mileage I correct and I addressed this several times throughout my rental? All was said to be fine until they charged me for over 7,000 miles I did not drive, sent 6 different invoices all reflecting differences? 4 of which say they owe me money and yet they continue to deduct funds from my account? This company is run by crooks and I will never conduct business with Sixt or Tom Wood! Liars & Theives
Rented a Nissan pick up truck for the weekend. Vehicle was new and in great condition. Had an excellent experience.
Outstanding customer service! Always treated fairly and courteously at Sixt. Staff is respectful of my time - I get in and out quickly.
