We had a blast! Been wanting to do the pedal boat thing for years! Got to do it with my son. Was super neat. Some cool sites to see as you do it. Its so pretty down there. The boats are well maintained. The people are nice. Was a real treat. Plus they give veteran discounts. Love a company that doesnt have to but does that. Thats a win in my book!
When I was here I rented a nice paddle boat. It was a lot of fun. The price is definitely worth it, for the amount of time you get and the leniency if you go over. If you are looking for something romantic or just interesting to do. Come here, rent an aquatic vehicle. Have as much fun as your time allows. I would definitely come back to this place.

I mean not really anything special about it our boat broke halfway down the canal and I seen another couple with a broken canopy! They really just want your 35 bucks and give you anything that might work...not impressed at all.

As the name suggests, this was fun. We rented Paddle Boat to have a nice time on Canal Walk. The staff was really supportive and helpful. They helped us with the documentation and giving us a brief idea about everything. They ensured to practice social distancing and strict mask policy which certainly helped us feel safe in these times.

Loads of fun, weather was awesome, boats were wiped down and sterilized before each use. Will definitely return but will remember to bring the Alieve as for I forgot about the 3 mile exercise to my legs!! Lol 👍🏾

Had a great time with my out of town guests here. One thing to know that is important. Sometimes you do not feel safe in some of the areas. Not this companys fault at all but maybe they can give some notice about safe routes and riding times. I hope this part of the city keeps growing with good shops and family activities like this.
We had a blast paddle boating on the canal! We got there when it first opened and it wasnt busy at all, but clearly got more popular through the morning. My daughter is too short to pedal but I was able to control the boat on my own going at a leisurely pace. Only negative I would say is that they dont offer the membership like they say on the website.
A very fast, friendly, and easy to rent spot. Rental paddle boat which comfortably fits four with two people peddling in front. Paddle boat has top canopy to help block hot sun. I believe they also rent out single and two person kayaks. Floating up and down the canal is a fun activity to bring your date along or for a small family or group of friends. Highly recommended
Good times downtown on the canal. The boats are a lot of fun, kinda pricey but still fun. I liked seeing one of the scooters in the canal that gave me a good laugh. It was really fun to paddle inside the fountain, we got flung 2090 feet into the air and yeah.

Very kind people! 100% trust them with valuables not wanted on the canal water. Getting your equipment was quick and easy, plus they give newcomers suggestions on where to go first so that you get the most out of it!
Super cool way to see Indy from a different angle. Very peaceful. They are easy to work with and the rates I think are more than fair. Highly recomended
I rented a kayak from Wheel Fun Rentals this evening and paddle up and down canal. The employees were very friendly and helpful, the rental prices was good and reasonable.The city of Indianapolis has done a great job with the layout of how this canal looks, I would recommend anyone who has a chance to go down there and either rent a paddleboat, kayak or a bicycle.
Google says they close at 7pm but we got here at 6 and they said they were closed. May be fun. We don’t know...
Ive rented both paddle boats and kayaks on two different occasions from these folks, and weve had a blast. Sometimes you might have to plan in advance, as the boats can be all rented out for a given hour due to popularity. But it was a great afternoon for our teen and YA children--theyd paddle about up and down while we parents would walk along the way, talking and enjoying them and the setting. Highly recommend--good service, reasonably priced. And great location--its a hidden virtue of downtown Indi.
Easy to use, good customer service. I like that kid helmets are available. They do take your drivers license so dont be surprised.
Rented a paddleboat here. We got from the rental place to the north end and back in just under an hour, so it was only $35. Great way to pend some time downtown, and really relaxing. Good thing to do with visitors.

I realize that you cant control the weather, but it would be really helpful if you would at least have a voicemail that lets people know if you are open or closed so they dont drive all the way downtown, walk 15 min on the canal with 2 really excited kids to then have to say sorry kids, even though its sunny out, they must be closed because it was raining 3 hours ago. Same with the bike rentals. There was a line of about 4 different families as we walked up who were all disappointed.

If I could give 0 stars I would because thats what they deserve. I visit Indianapolis frequently during the summer and enjoy being on the canal. While the view is always beautiful, whenever I attempt to rent a boat of some form, Wheel Fun Rentals ruins my experience. They are rude and inconsiderate. Dont bother spending your money on them or their services. A friend of mine has had a similar experience. Weve seen management openly disrespect workers in front of customers and I will never spend my money on a business that treats their workers like that.

We were refused service here for no reason - only go here if you want to be disrespected.My friends and I had organized a group date of three couples. We were planning to walk the canal, rent kayaks for an hour to play, and eventually go get dinner. Unfortunately, it rained that afternoon and we thought the plans were ruined. We called ahead to the boat rental hut and we were told that they would be happy to rent as long as there was no lighting - which there was not. Great, we can still go!When we parked at the White River State Park Parking lot we stopped and asked the bike rental employees (same company) if the kayaks would still be available at 7:30p. We were told that the last kayak rental for the day would be 9p and we should have plenty of time to enjoy ourselves. We proceed to walk the canal and get to the boat rental hut about ten minutes later. To our surprise, there were children frolicking in a number of paddle boats on the canal already.Unfortunately, when we walked up to the rental desk the young man behind the cash register told us that he couldnt rent anything more for the night. We asked why and he said that it was past their time for the last rental. We pointed to the sign he was leaning on that said LAST RENTAL: 9:00 PM. He insisted that he could not rent. Another employee walked up to see what was happening, but never said a word. We asked again if we could rent kayaks, as we had been looking forward to it all week. We are having employee issues, the employee said. You will have to come back some other day.I will not, in fact, go back another day. I will never rent anything from that group and I discourage anyone else from doing so. They are lazy slackers and they do not deserve your hard earned dollars.
Very fun way to personally tour part of the city. Very beautiful. Would recommend riding a bike near the canal.

Price is a little higher than other places Ive kayaked. The kayaks bring in a lot of water and the paddles caused blisters. The canal is pretty nice to boat down, lined with restaurants and apartments.
We had so much fun paddleboating. The line looked long, but moved fast. Wear sunscreen!
