Very local place. Has been a staple in the community for a long time. A third generation barber works here. Great talent, clean cut, professional, talented. I probably wont get my hair cut anywhere else.

Really cool place with the old schools barbershop feel. Mainly Walk-Ins, but appointments can be made if necessary. Very detailed with the cut while personable with the conversation.

It was great experience, Douglas cut my hair and it looks great. The people were also very friendly. I recommend it to anyone who wants a fresh cut!

The barber was a pretty nice guy, very friendly and interacted with children well while I was there. He cut my hair pretty horribly though. I asked for roughly a half inch off, and longer on the top, shorter on the sides. He threw that idea out the window and shaved the sides down to a few millimeters, left the top untouched, and the transition looked like I had a bowl cut. He tried giving me a fade up the sides, but mistakenly gave me a bald spot in the back. He did fix it mostly, but that ruined the fade. He was open to making adjustments on my suggestions, and cut a little off the top after my asking. However, I didnt feel like he knew what he was doing as was afraid to let him cut my hair more. I ended the day with a lop-sided fade into bowl cut. When I went to work the next day, I found he gave my co-worker the exact same cut.

I just moved to Indianapolis from TN. And I was unsure about where to go to get my haircut that would do a great job. And I must say that Douglas Tate 3rd did a really great job and got my hair looking extra nice. if you are a young or older black gentleman and you are picky about your haircuts I would highly suggest going to Tates!
