Rebuilt underbody seriously damaged by poor quality of theft of my Subarus catalytic converter (including but not limited to sensors ripped out, draft shaft severely damaged, more.... ). Final cost was $500 lower than estimate. They were courteous, patient and straight with me. Yes, I will be returning as well as recommending....Allowed inspection when it was up on lift so we could see with our own eyes.

The fixed my van in a timely manner. I’d trust them over any car dealer to do work on my vehicle. They truly aren’t in it to make money, but to help people get safely back on the road. So, you don’t have to worry about scams that dealerships pull. Midas truly does put the touch in trust in safety when it comes to your vehicle.

Was told they would take my warranty here. Got there and it was a no so I had to find a ride to go back up there again to get my car. Front end customer service was relaxing in the garage chatting and eating snacks...just laughing and not paying attention to who came through the front door. Another customer actually had to tell me where to find THEM! On top of everything else...no masks were being worn at the time when I approached them.

I had rated this place 4 stars but after I took it for the oil change my car started shaking horribly and it didnt do that before... I wanted a wheel alignment because it veered to the left but after being told it was the ball joints and that a wheel alignment wouldnt help I neglected to pay $800 to fix it and thought I could live with it for a bit but the sudden shakyness makes me think my car was tampered with... If I can at least have an explanation, I will rate it higher...

I just called for a quote and the guy was rude and i felt he didn’t believe me on what i was trying to tell him i work on cars my self and don’t have garage space he instead does that i come in to get a quote but i cant drive the car and don’t want to pay for a towI called Firestone and they simply quoted me i feel like his attitude could had been avoided wouldn’t want someone like that under my car seems like the type to spike up prices

The man up front was super nice, but aside from that I have not had a good experience here... each time I have gone it has been over an hour and a half or more for just an oil change. I get being busy, but at 8:15 in the morning? Not to mention they were caught standing together during a pandemic to watch t.v. on someones phone. The front guy said it was their like break time which I can totally understand, but then when everything was over he came back and said sorry he was a little backed up. By who? From what? I even showed up 15min early and my car wasnt even touched to pull in until 8:30. My husband swears by you guys, but Im not really impressed.

NEVER, I REPEAT NEVER take your vehicle to the Midas on Keystone near 62nd st. I visited this location on 02/27/2020. Not only did I have my car in there to fix my brakes for a 2nd time after they did them, but they argued that they didnt hear anything until I assured them my husband heard it too when he drove the car. Then they needed to have it another 4hrs to fix it without providing any communication. I had to constantly call them all day. I kept getting told, We will call you back in 15mins. Thats not even the best part.... I received a call at about 4:30pm, and the man working on my car didnt pump the brakes before backing out. He hit the wall on the opening of the bay door. Midas thought it would be okay to just order a bumper and paint and fix it there!!!! I got the paint color information, we just need to get you a new bumper. We will get it fixed. No no and no! When I asked for their insurance company information or corporate contact, the manager said, thats a good question. Needless to say, thankfully Nationwide will be handling this and fighting them to pay for it.It is now 03/03/2020, and I have not heard from corporate or the owner of this location after contacting the corporate number and starting a case number. I took my car to another (well respected) mechanic this morning. I need new rotors AND pads, after paying Midas to replace them on 08/14/2019. Im told the rotors have hot spots/rust, and do not look like they have been replaced. The new mechanic will be providing photos today, and the review will be updated again.

My battery died at the Target across the street. I called and they came to give me a jump within 15 minutes. I had a new battery installed in about half an hour. No appointment and worked me right in. Everyone was super polite and professional. I couldnt be more grateful or pleased with their service!

Our front brakes were grinding. My daughter drove to the Keystone Ave Midas and had the brakes inspected at this facility and we were informed that the front brake pads and both rotors would need to be replaced. We were also informed that the rear brakes were dangerous & unsafe needing to have the brake pads and both rotors replaced as well. My daughter called me to give me their diagnosis.A little background here, I am an ASE certified technician but live in the Chicago area and didnt want her to drive it 3 hours to bring it to me with the brakes grinding.I had her authorize the front brake repair only, pads and rotor replacement. I also requested all the old parts back which I am glad that I did. They replaced the front brake pads and rotors and my daughter had to ask them for the old parts as they had forgotten to put them in the car.The next weekend, my daughter drove 3 hours to bring the car to me to repair the rear brakes. I had already purchased the rear brake pads & rotors as per their inspection. I removed the rear hubcaps to find that the wheels were not recently removed. There was rust all along the studs which I ended up removing when I removed the wheels. Upon inspecting the brakes, I discovered that the rear pads were not even half worn & did not need to be replaced. I took pictures of the studs before removing the lug nuts & also of the brake pads. I pulled the old pads and front rotors that Midas replaced out of the trunk and measured the front rotors.They was plenty of thickness to machine them and reuse them. (I found it hard to believe they needed replacement because I had just replaced them not even 2,000 miles earlier to cure a pulsation.) Twice I spoke to the store manager and was promised a call back. Never happened. Midas Corp never responded after 2 calls there either. I gave this shop the chance to make it right. There is no need to rip people off and that is what they did. Do not trust this shop.

Brought my car in for a standard oil change, no surprises. Finished it in the expected time frame. They gave me a call and let me know my wiper fluid dispenser was malfunctioning and my tires were low and price estimates for both and asked if I wanted to have both done while I was still at work. Efficient, friendly, and the new manager Tony really cares about his customers!

Currently at this Midas. They told me I could make a reservation for 12pm (noon). I dropped my car off at this time. Two hours later: still here, and something that should have taken 15-20 minutes is no borderline wasting my entire half-day of work.There are MUCH better places to call on. Im done with this place.

Came in a few minutes after they opened and was already fourth in line. All said and done it didnt take too long, even with a line. I thought that the sales person was very nice and didnt seem pushy at all, just stating the facts and being open about the condition of my car. The price was very reasonable without any specials or coupons and the process was easy.

Guys... I understand business gets busy. Im a business owner myself. But when you tell your customer something you have to deliver. Thats integrity. I brought my car in at 230pm today and Im still here waiting on it at almost 43pm. Guys, thats unacceptable. You say 45 mins to an hour. Its been way longer and time is money. Dont let pretty people skip ahead of the line and dont lie to your customers. Lets figure out how we can make service better in the future. Great competitive prices dont mean anything if we cant deliver services in a timely manner. Brands need to be trusted. Thats vital to long term success with any business. Just... Just work on it guys. Please.

Scheduled an appointment this morning and the email I received said they would be reaching out in 30 minutes to confirm. Almost two hours later I still had not received confirmation so I called to double check. When I got someone on the phone I was told their online appointment system was not a valid way to book because they do not keep it up to date and they would not honor my appointment.

I went to this Midas today to get my brakes checked and have an oil change. This was the biggest mistake I could have made it turns out.I gave them the keys and went back to my office, waiting for a call back. I was called in about 30 minutes by Don and told that while removing my front right tire, they broke two of the five studs on my wheel because the lug nuts were too tight. I was thinking oh man thats not good, but since they broke it I know theyll fix it, right? Wrong. I was told because I asked them to service my vehicle and it belonged to me, I would have to pay $15 per stud and $50 for the labor. In order to fix the studs, they would have to remove the three remaining lug nuts and risk snapping them off. In total, if I had let them proceed, it would have cost me $125 before they ever made a determination about my brakes. I asked him why Id be responsible several times and Don kept trying to explain to me what they did to my car. I understood what they did, I didnt understand how the repair was going to cost me additional money. When I arrived to pick up the car, Don handed me the lug nuts with the snapped off pieces of the studs and explained to me what happened like Im an idiot even though I already knew what he did. He didnt apologize for creating a costly situation nor did he offer to do anything for me. Im pretty sure he assumed that Im a woman and therefore I must be an idiot when it comes to mechanics.I called my normal auto repair shop and he instructed me to bring the car directly to him, which I did. They were appalled at how I was treated at this Midas. I did need a very costly repair and it is going to cost me over $500 to do, but now I have to pay additional money to repair the studs when I didnt cause that damage. They charged me less than Midas was going to thankfully, but its still money I didnt have to spend. Oh and my mechanic had zero trouble taking my wheel off. They said it all happened quite easily.I called corporate to complain and they said someone would contact me, but couldnt tell me how long it would take to get a response. I spoke with them twice. If you are thinking about going to Midas because its convenient or you have an emergency, I suggest you avoid it. Terrible customer service and awful technicians who apparently have no idea how to work on a car.

Miserable. To start went in there specifically for a new headlight and routine oil change, waited 7 hours and didnt even fix the headlight.Not even sure they did the oil change..While there boss man sold me on 4 new tires and was assured it wouldnt take long. Not true. While putting tires on they broke the tire pressure sensor. This sensor tore up the inside of my newly purchased tire forcing me to replace it. Also while there they tried to give me my car back without doing the tire alignment. I called them on it and they said opps. Get people make mistakes, but you didnt even fix the headlight...Spend near $700 and place just made my life way more difficult. Place is not what Auto Shops should be like. Nothing good to say about Midas.

Chris (the manager) was inconsiderate to the fact that I had to bring my car back up to the shop (after being there for 3 hrs the day before) due to them not putting a new service sticker in my car, or resetting my oil sensor. He lied abt putting a new sticker in my car bc he knew that would show that the last person didn’t do their job. He was very rude and I will never go back to Midas at any location. Meineke it is !

I recently went to get a diagnostic for a professional opinion on a chirping/squealing noise. After over 4 hours I was called and given the diagnosis of which part that created the problem. After i they changed the part and charged me I received the car with the same exact noise I paid to be fixed. After approaching the store manager he said he did not know anything about it which made me feel as if he was taking advantage of me because he advised something he had no idea about. He ran to get the mechanics to TELL ME WHAT WAS GOING ON, not the store manager who is suppose to be up-to-date on everything being processed through the store. They then told me it was the alternator which is confusing because I paid for another park which was given as expert advisory to be changed to stop the issue. So I got it fixed and it was also not the problem!! So I took it back to be looked at again because I had done everything they advised. After 4 hours of looking again they tell me it is the timing belt system which they do not do. I went to Midas for a great customer service and a expert opinion left with the same problem hundreds of dollars later and no compensation. I will never have midas look or work on my car again. I have been a very loyal customer until now. Wasted money and still issue at hand. I will be trying to contact corporate about this. I advise people to be sure about repairs before paying if you want to take the risk here.

I’ve been coming to this Midas for eight years for oil changes and routine maintenance on my 20 yr old Ford Escort ZX2. I’ve always returned to this location because I’ve been treated fairly and squarely!The other day upon emerging from the Carwash next door—I realized I could barely turn my wheel?! The Carwash would assume no responsibility so I struggled to maneuver my vehicle right next door to Midas.Manager Cody recognized me. And even though they were busy he immediately directed me to pull up to a bay, but not in. Cody, and sometimes another gentleman worked under my hood for over an hour. Then pulled it into the bay for another 40 minutes.So like 2 hours of skilled labor that I’m incapable of.When they finally got the power steering belt back on I asked what I owed him? Cody said: Nothing Mr T, we’ll see you next time-have a good evening.What?Oh my gosh! I couldn’t believe it. Absolutely over the top splendid customer service! Hats off to Cody. I could not be more appreciative.Thank you Cody and Midas!

Quoted 330, paid 440I tell them, change the starter, they change $40 for electrical diagnostics. I didn’t ask to find the problem, I knew the problem. I told them to replace the thingThen charged another $30 for “shop supplies” Changing a starter doesn’t take anything more than a wrench. Am I really to believe they went out and got a new wrench just for my starter?I should have just left my car dead until the weekend and changed it myself starters are only ~$112 and take less than an hour to replace.

I was recently in here to get their expert opinion on why my car was making a terrible noise. I work on my car quite a bit, but this was something I just couldnt put my finger on. I was taken back by how the manager really must have thought he could have taken advantage of me by telling me it was something that it absolutely was not. He told me I needed new rotors and brakes, even though the rotors and brakes were brand new (by two months) and that they could do all the work for an exorbitant amount of money. I said I would not be having that work done today and they brought me my car off the hoist. The employee that brought my car around asked me if I had just had the brakes and rotors replaced which I told him I did. He then said that he told the manager that, but he wouldnt listen. Dont waste your time here. Overpriced, under-informed and a total waste of time. I have dealt with Midas my whole life and will never go back after that last experience.

I came to 6184 N Keystone Midas, whos been under new management for approx. A year and got the best service when I came back the next day, that Ive ever received, especially here before new management. I just decided to try what Im familiar with again and give it another chance. Just to discover that one of the managers, general manager, Anthony Solano, is bonifide on top of everything, very customer friendly, he explained every detail to me as he seen that I continuously kept looking at my vehicle being serviced. Yes, I was nervous and naturely very distrusting, however (Tony) quickly dispelled that. The workers worked in sync to get the job done, but I was concerned about to many mechanics working on my Transit XLT 350, because you know what they say about that. Too many cooks spoil the stew. Well, I was introduced to Frank as he worked on one side and I saw how they operated well together, and they all came from the same place having a long history of working together before here. They brought a great team to this location. On top of that, I had break work done at a very reasonable price $410 for rear pads and rotors. Now you look that up for my vehicle and see what you get. They also replaced my wipers because I inquired about how much would they cost, and they quickly said, well take care of it for you Ms. Woodson. Wow! Great service and stress relief. Because I probably would have had to come back another time to get them and it was going to rain again later 3/29/19. Then they told me that a customer who never returned to pick up his tire from his Transit would fit mine and asked me if I wanted it for a spare. A great tire with the cap on it. Of course. So, yes, Ill be back for my oil change and anything else they can help me with. Thanks to you too Cody.

I have used this place on a number of occasions for both exhaust work and tires. I am particularly happy with the exhaust work I have had done. For one reason, they allowed me to bring in my own aftermarket exhaust and they mounted it on my car. In my experience, many places I contacted would not do that. They also came up with some creative repairs on another car I had instead of recommending a new exhaust. Also, whenever they inspected the car for the problems I described, they invited me out to the shop to stand under the car to show me the exhaust issues. Again, many shops do not do this due to insurance reasons. While they are a big name chain shop, they operate like a local mom and pop in my experience.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! If you must use a Midas location then please for the love of God go elsewhere. I made the mistake and ended up driving all summer (in the worst heat in years) with no AC because these assholes charged me $80 to tell me that the controler module (dealer only & behind the dash) was bad, well its NOT Dealer Only and it Wasnt Even my Problem!! It was a $14 wireharness that melted and I ENDED UP DIAGNOSING AND REPLACING MYSELF!! On top of all that, the same day they were supposed to rotate my tires, well they didnt even do that right!!

Dumb me slid into a curb and bent my wheel and the things that connect the wheel to my car. They got me in superfast and had it worked on the same day. I had my wife stop by and pay and grab the keys since I was at work. When I went to pick it up after hours I was not satisfied with the job. However I brought it back the next day and Don did a fantastic job of listening to my concerns. He worked it in the same day and did a good job of getting it fixed up. I really appreciated his can-do attitude. Unfortunately, the wheel was visibly still bent after they fixed it and the tire wore unevenly and smelled like burnt rubber. A complete waste of $1200. They may do fine with maintenance issues, but I would not bring a collision repair to them. My one star review is because they reassured me this is something they fix. For collision repairs I recommend Maaco at 71st and Binford. They did a great job.

I purchased a coupon for oil changes,etc. First visit went very well on a Saturday morning. Went back to have another of the 3 oil changes but was told they didnt honor the coupons on Saturday as they were too busy. This was 8 am and no one else was there. They told me Id have to use the coupon M-4 between 8-6 pm. I work 8-5 and have no one to give me a ride if I drop it off. Tried again thinking I would take a late lunch hour and was told I could only use the coupon between 1-12 and 2-4 M-F. I called a Midas on Michigan Road. They open earlier on Saturday and are open Sundays. Told me come on over - they honor the coupon anytime but are very busy and its first come first serve. Gave me great service. Keystone is so close to me yet I will never to there again.

The owner also said because they didnt put the reading when I get another oil change, that they dont do that its in theyre policy, but the mechanic who justed added some quarters of oil cause thats all I needed it saided he forgot smdd, the owner LIED big tall white guy just took my money.
