I was a new policy holder on 02/20/21 and I needed to make a change to the policy that Ive purchase right away. I called his office once and he aid that he was very busy that hell call me back so I called the 1-800 number to go ahead and speak to someone else since he was busy. Come to realized that the 1-800 number i was provided re-routed me to his number and when I was routed to him, he had answered very loudly and said YEAH in a very rude manner. I was shock that he answered that way, then he started to get loud and very disrespectful yelling at me like I am his child. I am a grown man and not a child. He did not even give me the chance to explain my situation. I could have been rude too as well but I was not going to let him take me to that point and be out of my character. I told him that he did not have to be rude and raised his voice because I am just trying to solve a matter that needed addressed to my policy. So instead of getting out of character I just said thank you for your service and disconnected the call. I called the cancellation department and cancelled my policy because I do not want to be affiliated and be a customer any longer due to how he treated me over the phone. Darrell Frye makes ALLSTATE look really bad. But he has the audacity to email me and said thank you for your payment and please let me know if you had any concerns. Thats just so fake and lets me know that he is only about his money. Well let me tell you something Darrell, you will not have and office to run if it wasnt for customers. So I strongly advice that you treat you future customers with some respect and be professional. I am not trying to attack you character but thats what Ive experience from you. UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND YOU MAKE ALLSTATE COMPANY LOOK BAD. Dont worry I will also be calling Corporate on you. Please treat you customer with some respect. You do not even deserve a star but I had to give you one because it wasnt going to let me post this FEEDBACK!!!!

Darrell, I hope you see this. Your professionalism is unnerving at best. When someone is giving you their business, you are extremely nice up front. You answer questions, give feedback, etc. but as soon as you have them locked it, those communications cease. Maybe thats the problem with Allstate in general, going through agents to get anything done, and trusting them to be the liaison they are....my fault. You get upset that someone requests a change, you think you know more about that person, belittle them, and justify it by declaring that the expertise and knowledge that you and your office have on this matter trumps any sort of request made by the client giving you their money. I requested a cancellation of my policy on 7/10. Whenever someone cancels anything, one would assume you get a confirmation of that cancellation. Apparently not, unless you ask for it. Shame on me for not knowing that. When I called back on 7/11 to request that confirmation be sent to me for my records, I get the other Darrell that these raving 1 star reviews of your 2.9-star agency rating have been talking about over the last couple of years. You say people trust you, take a hard look at that. Yes, I get it, youre losing money because someone requested to cancel their policy...suck it up champ, thats life...youll be fine, I promise. That does not give you the right to yell at someone over the phone, tell them they should have known the process on requesting confirmation of canceling, and explain to them that because youre the expert on this matter, that they have no voice and their opinion doesnt matter. My advice to you is to check your attitude. Its pretty bad and doesnt communicate or emulate the mission of Allstate. The 800 reps are extremely nice, take a lesson from them. Your terrible customer service and attitude towards those that have questions or wish to make changes is awful and does a disservice to the entire organization you work for. If I were your boss, youd be fired on the spot. Ive been with Allstate for the last 4-5 year, with your office for the last 2&1/2 years and can say with the utmost clarity that your customer service is the worst Ive experienced. I would encourage anyone who reads this to truly reconsider. I have nothing against Allstate, I think they are a great organization, but you sir, are the reason why I, my family, friends, neighbors and anyone else I can talk to about you will never work with Allstate. Its because of YOU!

****THREATENED TO CANCEL EXISTING/PAYED FOR COVERAGE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY**** PLEASE READ****As of right now there is only one review other than mine. Im sure in the coming days there will be others written by Mr. Darrell Fryes employees/interns/family members, but everything in this review is recent and factual.Unfortunately, My experience w/ Mr. Darrell Frye was very unpleasant. Ive given him business for over 2 years and I called today to expand upon my existing coverage. I was talked down to for wanting to know ball park monthly estimates of the new potential coverage. After a few seconds into his rant about How much he knows.... and I dont about insurance(the whole purpose of having an agent).. I politely informed him that I would unfortunately need to start looking for a new agent and ended the conversation.-- Less than a minute later he called me back to (fight) inform me that he would be cancelling my policies effective immediately (Which Im pretty sure is illegal). This of course led to a back and forth between him and I which ended with him screaming into the phone direct all further concerns to the 800 number and hanging up. I of course did.. I complained on him and they notated my account to make sure Mr. Frye couldnt maliciously cancel my coverage... They also answered my question with a courtesy that Mr. Darrel Fryes grossly incompetent agency was unable to. There are a lot of people in Indy to get coverage from and Im sure many of them will treat you with dignity.... He wont.
I signed up online with Allstate. I put in all the information needed, honestly. This location calls me and tells me I lied about my information. They raised my rate and refused to refund all of my money. I will NEVER recommend this company to ANYBODY! The rudest people I have ever met. Do not sign up at this location. They will try to raise your rates and keep all your money. Very disappointed.

After expressing frustration with the lack of communication (an email with four questions not responded to for 10 days), this is what was sent back: ...Its a free country and you can always switch carries and if you do so, just let us know when to term your policies. I do not appreciate this time of dialogue. I wish you the best with your new company. Yes the typos are real. The only reason I heard anything back was because I emailed again after receiving an alert that my policy had changed. Very unprofessional.
Horrible customer service. Darrell Frye belittles his clients and refuses to answer or assist in resolving concerns. I was enrolled into a program that I did not give consent to and when I called him to look into the issues he refused to help. I just do not recommend anyone doing business with this agent. He truly is unethical and rude for no reason.
I have been a customer for four years and received a notice of non-renewal, due to a claim for a fire (our neighbors apartment caught in fire and we had smoke and water damage) in 2016 and theft in 2017. I thought thats why you have renters insurance, to cover your belongings. Oh well I wont be recommending Allstate to anyone.
I had a pretty good experience with Allstate Insurance. However, my agent retired and my new one was Darrell Frye. His communication is very poor and hes unprofessional. Ill be switching coverage because of him.
This guy is rude, unprofessional, no listening skills, thinks he knows what you need better than you do, incompetent idiot. Absolutely DO NOT give this man your business. If you insist on buying the product brand find a better agency.
My interaction with Darrell Frye was awful. At a time when we were in crisis after a family members death and money was so tight. We reach out to this office about a late payment. During the conversation Mr. Frye said Hey look I am doing you a favor by contacting the underwriters . My business is not a favor. I like Allstate but we moved to a new office. We did ourselves a favor.
