I called because I was having trouble with my washer and dryer. I paid 89.00 for service fee for each one. The parts came the fix the dryer and they said they fixed the washer the washer washer was 417.00 around that. The first time I went to use the washer the same thing happened the clothes was soaked and to keep spinning them out. I called and told them I was having the same problem they said I would have another 89 dollar fee I told them they didnt fix the problem I was having in the first place and if it is going to cost me another couple hundred I could of bought a new washer. It is a rip off how do I know the first part was even bad that they ordered since it didnt fix it either way I should not have to pay 89. Dollars again to find out what is wrong with it. SAME PROBLEM.
The Sears team in Indiana, Pa. were very helpful with all our needs from the fridge to the washer and dryer, the stove, dishwasher, convection oven/microwave, we bought all of our appliances from them, but we do have the problem of poor design, when you put things into a fridge theyre to stay cold, which they do but when you put an ice maker and water to the controls well everyones happy until it quits working thats when you find out that you cant put anything thats to big on the shelf and block the vent on top because the water will freeze, now if you put to many things on the bottom shelf on top of the crisper not only do they freeze, but the elbow and water line freeze also, Ive had the repair man here few times because of it, only to realize that the last time he was here he put insulation on the elbow said that it should fix the problem, NOT I had to go in a couple times to thaw out the water line, I then removed the crisper drawer turned up the thermostat from 37 to 38 and havent had problem since, ATTENTION KENMORE START MAKING QUALITY PRODUCTS LIKE YOU USE TO AND WITH A BETTER DESIGN, you cant expect people to give good reviews if the product fails continuously and you wont back it, also the crisper drawer poor design only put a couple (2) heads of cabbage and some lettuce or tomatoes and the face comes off the drawer, that only costs $179.00 to replace plastic, the convection/microwave with built in hood, the convection oven makes more noise than I care to mention the first time I went to use it, although the microwave works great, the convection oven cant be used, the light sockets underneath the microwave became brittle and fell apart, very disappointed, very very disappointed in the quality of the products, the design team needs to do a better job and the parts need to be better quality like they were back when people cared
The repairman was early, which I was very pleased. He diagnosed & repaired my washing machine & it has been running beautifully. I am thoroughly happy with my experience!
Recent call was for yearly cleaning/inspection of heater/boiler. The technician was one who has been to the home before and he is always courteous, efficient and informative. Ive always been impressed by his professional manner.Service....5 stars...technician was thorough, efficient and effective in diagnosing and resolving issue with my heater/boiler.customer service....2 stars...Ive contacted Sears at least 4 times to ask that the contact person for this address be me...not my brother --in-law...and, as you can see, even the review survey went to him. No excuse for this.
Kept in touch, on time problem fixed. Happy. I have already filled out one survey before this.
If I was just rating the final repair and the service tech it would be a 5 star rating. But the process of dealing with the scheduling appointments and delivery of parts was a nightmare. After my washer was diagnosed, my first repair appointment was cancelled due to all the parts not being ordered. Once all the parts finally came, my second repair appointment was scheduled. On that day I sat at home 9 hours waiting for a tech that was never scheduled by Sears. The actual repair, once it happened, was well done. I am thankful for that. But as a result of the time and energy wasted in dealing with the call center I will be looking for a new place to purchase my major appliances, currently every major appliance in my home was a Sears purchase. Look no farther than this review to realize why Sears is closing stores everywhere. The corporate office does not care about their customers.
I was not pleased with the first repairman because he did not see that the water valve was turned off and that is why the water would not pump up Into the dishwasher. He would not have had to run the diagnostic test. After he ran the diagnostic test he ordered the wrong part. The second repairman tried to install the wrong part ordered by the first guy then asked me what was wrong and found the water valve was off and quickly fixed the water valve on and tested that the dishwasher worked fine. One start for first repairman and five stars for the second repairman.
Excellent. Arrived on time and was informed of arrival time within two hours. Not all day waiting. Dehumidifier was not repairable and warranty is replacing it soon. Best service Ive experienced. The delivery was not good. The driver was sitting it in the garage and leaving. I explained the order was for installation, set up and haul away. He said not his orders. He only delivers nothing else. But he did it very reluctantly. Took to basement, unboxed, moved it in place, unplugged non working unit, Left all packaging on chair and placed old ones in truck and drove away. He came an hour early saying he was minutes away so I told him to deliver. I would not want him delivering to me again. Too bad with how well your people performed
Sears is now only providing refurbished parts. Ive had to keep a Protection Agreement on my ProSeries Range since Ive bought it. It keeps burning out main circuit boards. I can not get them to replace this range. Ive called the Protection Agreement Dept, they agree with me. They then refer me to the Solutions Group. They tell me the repair tech has to deem a problem. Repair tech states otherwise. Sears has put more in repair calls and parts than the cost of the range.!!
Parts were ordered on the 7th,, four of them. They finally all arrived 3 weeks later. The dishwasher was repaired 3 days before Christmas and the technician only needed one of the parts because the previous technician said thats what we needed..4. And better yet, what was needed did not get ordered, another part that was bad. Luckily the second tech had it in his truck. All in all, the dishwasher works....for now. The other 3 parts were not needed and went back, including the one that I waited for 2.5 weeks because it wasnt in stock and not allowed to make an appointment because all parts had to be here. I am not sure that I will continue my warranty after expiration.
Was very prompt, checked our oven over completely. Serviceman was very friendly and helpful with answering questions. Would highly recommend.
Oven was turning on all by itself in middle of night. Technician told us he couldnt diagnose problem because it wasnt doing anything when he was here. Told us to unplug the unit at night and when we left the house to prevent it from turning on. NOT an acceptable solution! We ended up purchasing a new circuit board on or own and installing it ourselves to fix the problem. Still irked that I was charged for the technician to come to my home and tell me to unplug my stove when Im sleeping or leaving my house without even trying to solve the problem.
Called them to repair my LG dishwasher (2nd time in 3 years). Had to wait a bit for insatiable appointment and then we had to wait for parts to come so I was down a month but the guy that did the repair was nice. Would use them again!
Cant believe I got same day service for the refrigerator repair! Took 2 visits: one to assess the issue (on the same day I called) and a second a few days later to install the new parts.
Technician was very thorough and very knowledgeable. The refrigerator had two problems with the icemaker, and he was able to diagnose the problems. He completed the repair in two steps to try to save expense. Overall, he did an outstanding job.
My washer is working great now. But waiting 3 4 weeks for a appointment was awful. However very happy with the completed job.
Lucious was excellent! Professional, personable & very knowledgeable! The only BAD review I have is with the company itself. I went THREE weeks without a big refridgerator. They did buy me an apartment sized one, one that a,college kid would fit in their dorm room. It was not big enough for milk, lunchmeat, butter, eggs & a bottle of pop. They need to work on better tuning for repairs! Other wise, the repairman was exceptional.
Service is terrible. They provide a phone number which loops a recording that someone will take your call in the order that it comes in, however, after one hour of remaining on HOLD your call is dropped. Customer Service sucks. Im looking and expecting for them to replace this machine if after this third visit they cannot FIX the problem. 3:30 - 6:00 on the phone to get results is horrible! I could have driven to Pgh and back in the time I spent on hold waiting.
A/C failed 9/17, 4: PM outside temp 72. Compressor shuts off on over temp. Technician checked A/C on 10/5/2018. Heat pump checked as OK. A/C failed again 10/9, 6:30 PM outside temp 79. Now into heating season - will wait until cooling season to try again to have A/C repaired.
Kenmore Range Hood is only 4 years old and the repairman wasnt able to provide the part to fix it and we were still charged for the service call!! What service???
The service person arrived as per schedule. The service performance was great. The service person couildnt be better.
Nothing was broken. All that was needed was training which the repair person did very well.
The repair, once the part actually arrived (took 2 weeks!) went well. Was without my refrigerator/freezer in my kitchen for that length of time. Totally disrupted my life. The technician was professional and apologetic.
We had thus central replaced by Sears about 1 1/2 years ago. Now, after one week ago, tve entire a.c. bkee up. It was still undrr the manufacturers warranty. The rep that came here stated that replacing every single part would cost more then replacing it with a new one. Niw, we are in the same shape as before having to contend with replacing it with a new one aThe one that they just fixed, after the new one blowing up on us. I talked to the service mans boss, and a few other people, and they said that we would have a new service man out here. I have two major problems with having them come here next Friday..the 26th. One us that I had a heart attack 2 weeks ago and cant tolerate this heat. Secondly my daughter has a wedding bridle shower here on the 27th ( Saturday ) and without the a.c. everyone here js going to sweat to death. I also appreciate your purchesing the window a.c. forbus, but it is not doing near the job that our central a.c. does. I am going to submit my electric bill to you, as there is a major difference in the bills eith central comparing it to the window units. I hope that youbwill pay the difference as I am going to ask my attorney if there is a case there. I do not want to do this, but my treatment has been horrjble to do to someone that has suffered a heart attack. Please get someone out here to replace it. It is my understanding that my unit us not being made anymore.Thankyou,Martin Jay Pearlman
On time, accurate, friendly! Just like you think Sears should be.
The service itself was awesome. Was disappointed it took them almost a week to come and fix our furnace.
I used to get great service from Sears, but something has changed. My dishwasher has been broken since before Thanksgiving. When I called for an appt., I was surprised that the first available date wasnt for five weeks, which would have been December 4, 2014. A medical emergency caused me to have to reschedule. Next available was January 8, 2015. The repairman arrived as scheduled and diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and set me up wit a repair date of January 22, 2015. The part arrives at my house, the repairman arrives as scheduled, but the part is no good. The box had obviously been opened, as it was taped back shut with a different kind of tape. When the repairman opened it he immediately saw that it was a used part. A pump that had visible wear, scratch marks and nicks. When he opened the part, water ran out. It appeared that this part had been returned to the warehouse by another repair company (color of bar code sticker). The repairman was very professional and was sorry for the inconvenience. He reordered the part and set me up with another repair date a couple of weeks away. Looks like Sears will only service this area on Thursdays, as anytime I try to set up a date it only give Thursday options.O.K. So now the part is ordered. A woman from Sears calls and can sees that it is on its way, apologizes for all the inconvenience and gives me a new repair date. The part should be here by January 26, so she sets me up for Jan 27. Except the part doesnt arrive on the 26th. So on the 27th I call and find out it is expected to be delivered that day by UPS .... to my local Post Office. So as I am the next appt. on the list and the repairman expects to arrive in a little over an hour,I call the PO around 1:45 pm and UPS hasnt arrived yet, but if my package arrives, it will be in tomorrows mail. (Since my mail had already gone for today)So the repairman cancels and reschedules. I get my choice of February 12,19, or 26, looks like were back to Thursdays. Of course, I chose February 12.Sure hope they send a new pump this time. And whats up with Thursdays. I know they work all five days.I will be in the market for a new washer and dryer real soon. I have always trusted sears, but can you imagine waiting for over three months to get your washer or dryer repaired. I dont think so.
On time and very polite
Great Service ... repairman was courteous and nice!
Fast he was able to come fix it the very next day!!!!
Technician was out three times and my dishwasher still isnt fixed!
If anyone at Sears cares about my experience they need to call me ASAP. This has been the worst service ever. Month and a half, still not resolved. Ive spent hours on the phone too. All over an igniter on my Kitchenaid stove.
The service and technician was very good and I think that we may have fixed the problem. Only time will tell. Thank you
Uneventful. Professional, Painless. Thank you.
Problem corrected, but the $174 charge was not justified, for the amount of effort to correct same.
On time, professional and efficient!
Service tech was polite, and very thorough!!!
Great technician
The serviceman was very complete and friendly.
Great service!!!!
