Called to make an appointment for my 8 year old son - I was never informed of a policy they have in place where they do not allow parents to go into an appointment with their children. THANK GOD I looked at the reviews and saw that someone posted that information. I called to confirm, and sure enough, they do not allow parents to accompany their children. That is the most ridiculous thing Ive ever heard... Not only because I need to be present during treatment for informational purposes but because my child is only 8! He would be terrified, and hes too young to understand if something that dentist did to him was right or wrong. This policy is something that should be disclosed at the time the parent is making an appointment.

We have been mostly pleased with their service, but on the day of our childrens annual cleaning, were made aware of their new policy of not allowing parents to attend their childrens appointments. Initially, we thought the reason for this was covid. We were told the reasoning was due to both personal and Covid. The office manager stated that kids are more fidgety when they are with their parents. I wasnt aware of the new policy or I would have never scheduled my children there. Overall, the office staff is nice, but I wouldnt dare send my children into the unknown. There are pediatrical dentists in our area that still allow for full transparency. Otherwise, if your little ones are injured or mistreated, you will have done exactly that to your own child.

FRAUD!!! Charges insurance for services never done or unnecessary, violates HIPPA, refuses to release you medical records to you. Office manager is rude and unhelpful. Does unnecessary work and refuses to release x rays to other offices when you go somewhere else. Office manager is rude and resorts to name calling, and in my case refused to let me see any other doctor in the practice so i was forced to go elsewhere. The response below is a straight lie. Listen to the 6 other recent bad reviews saying the same thing I have, Fran will try to make excuses but she’s ignoring a pattern of behavior exhibited by the dentist. Doing work on wrong teeth, causing abscessed teeth and unnecessary pain and being rude. Had fillings done on very small minor cavities. Now those teeth have been in so much pain I can not eat. Should not have abscessed and no small filling should cause an abscess tooth unless the work was done badly. As i voice my concerns with the office manager she does not apologize but only makes excuses and ignores previously stated bad reviews. This place will cost you more money and do unnecessary work. Now because of getting fillings, I’m dishing out 10K to have teeth removed and replaced thanks to their horrible dentistry work.Update: she preceded to call me back to back after posting this review in which she called me immature for choosing to end the conversation and take my business elsewhere, while she was nothing but condescending the entire conversation. As a manager all it takes is a simple apology and promise to talk with the dentist to figure out a plan moving forward. But her insistent need to call back and how she spoke was nothing short of a weird toxic teen break up. Unprofessional and rude. You never call a patient immature when it is you who is refusing to let her see another doctor. And speaking with the dentist who did painful and unnecessary fillings was never offered nor wanted, i wanted to see a different doctor and when that was refused i chose to go elsewhere and now they refuse to release my records which the office manager had threatened before hanging up.

The service I received surpassed my expectations. The environment is very welcoming & comforting. Love everyone there, the receptionists are all so helpful, organized, well paced & genuine. There’s no rush during my check outs where usually I have MANY questions & are so patient and consistent with me. Sweetest receptionists ive come across in my opinion. I look forward to coming back!

Was set to have an appointment on Thursday but on Tuesday, an employee by the name of Haley canceled my appointment. That in itself was a whole ordeal that had me leaving a message for the office manager to call me.When the office manager, Fran, actually called me I couldnt be reached. If Haley had told her everything I said, she would have known that I worked at night and slept during the day. However, that did not happen and she called me early in the morning to let me know that I could in per Dr. When. I never heard the phone call because my appointment was canceled and no one else would be calling me that day, so my phone was off so I could sleep.Ive been requesting another appointment because theres an infection in my tooth, to which Fran replied if I canceled again they would not be able to see me anymore. The first time we ever went there, we had scheduled a double appointment for myself and my daughter. Shes under age and we were informed when we got there, no one could be in the back with her. A brand new dentist, a child thats 10 and no one can be back there with her. Thats their normal rule and not just for the pandemic. So we have to cancel because she didnt want to be alone and there was no one there to watch her for myself anyway. Now because their employees screwed up and yes, she screwed up, Im being told that if I cancel again this and that will happen. I didnt cancel this last time anyway. The girl told everyone I didnt feel well when I explicitly said that my tooth was infected and it hurts, plus I was tired after working all night which was an 11-hour shift and then on top of that staying up to go in for a 2 PM appointment that was not for me but for my daughter.I swear if I did not think the dentist was amazing, I would walk out right now and never look back. She is an amazing dentist and her bedside manner is terrific, however the majority of the office staff Ive dealt with are horrible. Jessica is the exception I believe. Other than that, horrible! For an office manager to say if I cancel again after an incident where her employee is in the wrong? Its absolutely ridiculous. I hope the doctor knows whats going on up front because they are not doing her justice at all.

I have been coming here since i was a kid and i will always be coming here. The staff are always so kind and helps that most speak Spanish as-well.Renne is probably my favorite here she always has a smile on her face and is just so easy to talk to and is aleays a nice experience

A great Dentistry who have amazing front desk associates, that will make you laugh. Haley is a one of a kind and lovely girl, Fran is a great manager, and Stephanie who is just sweet. Everyone who works here is so sweet and fun to be around.

I have been going to Friendly Dental for years, I see Dr. Gonzalez cause I had him at union dental and I was familiar with him so I stuck who I am most comfortable with. He always takes good care of my teeth and always makes sure I have something to manage my pain. Yesterday I came in for a tooth extraction on a molar and I had a different dentist whom Ive never seen before, she agreed to pull my tooth and offered to pull the one beside it as well because it was pretty bad (and now its sensitive and I regret not getting it pulled as well) the only issue I have is that I have extreme anxiety when it comes to dental work which is why I stick with ONE dentist, when she was numbing me the assistant asked if they had and restraints (which made me panick) she said yes but we do not need them...  then this is what really upset me the most and made me want to cry while the dentist was extracting the tooth the dental assistant  put her arm around my neck to hold my chin and head to keep me still even who I was cooperating and my regular  dentist has NEVER had to restrain my head ever... I totally panicked  but I bared through it. I called and spoke to the office manager she apologized and put on my chart that I only wanna see Gonzalez from now on and if I cant Ill just simply reschedule. Now its not the managers fault by no means but now my socket and my left eye is sore i feel as though a nerve was hit and I can barley talk or open my mouth with little to no pain relief., no swelling that I can see just pain. Im not telling anyone not come im just saying make sure you know who youre seeing before you come in and if youd perfer a different doc please ask.

I have just completed extensive dental work with Friendly Dental in both the Siskey (Matthews) as well and the South Park offices. The entire staff was nice, empathetic and knowledgable. I would go to any other Sental practice

To the response: how can you flat out lie? It was never offered to see another doctor it was actually refused. Calling a patient immature for the pain you caused her is name calling and unprofessional. And refusing to release her records is illegal. You did unnecessary work to get more money and caused my wife long lasting costly pain. Stop lyingMy wife had work done here and they did unnecessary fillings that caused her teeth to abscess. When she brought up this concern the office manager was rude and very unprofessional. Read the other reviews!!!! They are rude to patient and will cost you more money and pain then necessary. The office manager is unable to take responsibility and chooses to make excuses and ignore very serious concerns. Never known a business when you tell them you will no longer go to them to call back to back bordering harassment. Also never known any business to refuse for you to see another dentist or doctor when you have valid concerns and complaints. These complains should be investigated and Fran needs to be replaced for her immaturity and unprofessional demeanor when causing a patient pain.

They will refer you out for teeth extraction that are salable due to not having the best insurance. Referred me to get teeth extracted through his friend in Rock Hill. I used my referral for local oral surgeon and explained my situation. Oral surgeon said these teeth are salvageable. Call friendly dental explained what oral surgeon said they tell me that is not his job as a oral surgeon. They will lead you to a life changing permanent problem due to not having great insurance or $3800. Please be cautious with this practice. They are all about the MONEY will tell you your insurance will only cover this or that. You will leave with more problems than you went in with. Only trying to help. Its like a chop shop for teeth. You dont pay crazy prices there referring you to extraction.

Dr. Barrows is the best dentist I have ever gone to. I have been to Friendly Dental a few times now, and I have had the same great experience every time. To begin with, Dr. Barrows office staff is courteous and extremely efficient. Im the kind of guy that hates sitting around in waiting rooms with my time wasting away. This is not the case at Friendly dental. On each occasion, I have not even sat long enough to read an entire magazine article. The staff gets you checked in, and into an exam room in no time at all. Next comes the dental hygienist, this really is the part where i cannot speak highly enough about my experience, she was the best of my entire life, and had a very gentle touch. Dr. Barrows came in next to examine my teeth. It is always immediately apparent listening to him that he is a very astute and talented dentist. Im 39 and have all my teeth, to include my wisdom teeth, and zero cavities. This is the dentist that is going to help me keep it that way. You will not be disappointed.

Friendly dental of IT was wonderful from the minute I walked and signed in. The front desk was very courteous. I went on a different week that my two boys (4 & 2). Dr. Barrows was very informative for my visit and I didn’t get much backlash from not going for a years. I enjoyed my visit and my children’s visit wasn’t that bad for having a screaming toddler that didn’t want to be touched. They were very understanding and professional even with my kids. They are surely established now as our family dentist, would recommend to others!!

First time at Friendly Dental of Indian Trial and I honestly couldnt have had a better experience!! All their staff was kind and efficient from the moment I called to make my appointment up to when I left their office. The hygienist, Lindsay, did an amazing job with my cleaning. She was extremely thorough yet managed to be gentle. Dr. Barrows was very professional and did an exceptional job explaining the procedure, expectations, plan of action and answering any questions I had. I recommend this office to everybody. I always was afraid of Dentist’s. I heard Many bad stories about root canals, and here I was having one today. To my surprise I was well taking care of. I did not feel any pain at all during and after the procedure. Not even little! Doctor Gonzalez was wonderful and I can say the same thing about the staff working there! That’s it I found my place.

Not to fond of this place, I believe they do whatever they can to upsell the most expensive sale Instead of offering other options to make it work for the everyday budget that most people live by. I instructed them to have my daughters tooth extracted instead of doing roughly 3k worth of work for a rear molar tooth which they tried to sell. They insisted to do a root canal, crown etc... when I questioned if a extraction was an option they paused and said “well yes it is” but we would like to save the tooth and there will be a hole and all this extra non sense. Thanks for advising but I’m the one spending the money let me decide what I can spend not you.Now whatever happened to giving people options like...Plan A -Root canal, crown, etc....And if that’s not feasible (for whatever reason)Plan B - Extraction (Never offered) I had to bring it up and they tried to talk me out if it.I’ll answer that -it’s not worth their time to make $250 so they want the $3k so they don’t offer it. But when I insisted that was what I wanted them to do, they sent her home still in pain and the tooth still in place. Won’t be back nor will my family!

My husband and I had been seeing a dentist in Charlotte for years. When we moved we needed a new dentist. We went to Dr. Barrows and were VERY happy. He was very professional and gentle. We each needed one filling and were able to get the work done fast. The cost was a lot less than what we had been paying. After a couple of months I thought I saw a spot on one of my teeth. I called and got an appointment for the next day. I got there a little early and was seen immediately. The spot wasnt a cavity and I wasnt charged. Most other places would have charged just to look. VERY PLEASED!I would recommend Dr Barrows to anyone.

Dr Barrows and his staff are fantastic!! I am one of those people who dread(s and puts off)going to the dentist but they make you comfortable from beginning to end. Lindsey does an amazing job with the cleaning, quickly putting you at ease. Often if you need work they are able to work around your schedule and so the work while your already there! They give you an easy to understand rundown of insurance and costs so there are no surprises.

My experience here has been very good. Everything was very professional, and it’s a very comfortable atmosphere. Dr. Gonzalez was wonderful treating my cavity. And all the assistants are wonderful & nice. I would highly recommend.

This was my first and the last. My appointment was for a cleaning and I had a problem with a tooth ache. The dentist spent about 20 minutes explaining how buildings are built therefore my teeth are built the same way they took x-rays of my teeth which all of this took about an hour and then told me I had to wait for about an hour before the hygienist could see me for my cleaning. What a waste of time. When I said I had to go to work they just said I can reschedule. Are you kidding me... Did they forget I scheduled my appointment for cleaning. What a joke

I love this place! Definitely my “Go To” dentist from now on. My first time there was today, for an extraction that an Oral Surgeon wanted to charge $1027 to do. Friendly Dental did it for $250. I currently pay out of pocket for my dental expenses, so, as you can tell, this was a significant savings for me. When it comes to out of pocket dental expenses, my advice, is to shop around before you allow an Oral Surgeon to over charge, and take advantage you. And when you do compare rates I bet you’ll find that Friendly Dental Group has the best!! The staff was super friendly too. I will be back for cleaning, implant, and future procedures when in the area. Thanks Doc💯🙏

Not FRIENDLY!! It took me months to get my son to trust another dentist, after the experience he had at this office. Rudest dentist I’ve ever seen. He was clearly irritated by my sons xrays. Belittling, shaming my child, telling him his teeth are not worth fixing. My son walked to the car and cried!! Verbally bashing my child, it’s abuse.

First time visitors and it was fantastic from beginning to end. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and greeted us with a smile. My children, who are not big fans of dentist, actually enjoyed themselves. The dental hygienist made their cleaning fin and painless!

The staff is great and do all they can to make you feel comfortable! Also, the atmosphere is nice. Having a TV in the dental room, helps take the tennis away when getting dental work done.

My wife was taken as a new patient and seen quicker than could have been seen at other offices. The Dentist did a fantastic job repairing her front teeth. He also gave extensive explanations of the procedure and any concerns that might arrise. We were very pleased with this Dentist.

Well, I have to give credit where credit is due. The dental work I had done by Dr Barrows was said to be beautiful work by my new dentist. (I had to move out of the state) Ive had lot of dental work in the past, Im in my 40s. When I go to a new dentist theres always okay...heres what you need to do to get your teeth healthy again. But...not this time! Between the reminder texts and email to make sure I was going to be at my 6 month cleaning and the easy scheduling of appointments. Lets not forget I never felt like I was having dental work that was not needed or being over charged and I look for because I dont want to have extra dental work done. Because going to a dentist well...its just not fun. To make a long story short, my new dentist even after a year gap in cleanings said I had great dental habbits and beautiful dental work done. I was so happy with what this dentist said I feel like Dr Barrows deserved a pat on the back and his hygienist the same. Thanks for the effort in giving me a great set of teeth to be proud of.

My three year old daughter loves coming here and always has a great experience! Recently I had my first visit with them and I continue to value this practice. The front staff is pleasant and welcoming. I was called back in a timely manner and immediately they got started! I enjoyed Gloria and Dr. Gonzalez and felt like I was in good hands. I also had a cleaning done by Lindsay and she was awesome! I thought I had gotten a good cleaning at my last dentist but her thorough cleaning proved me wrong. Great practice and great people!

My 16 year old has been seeing Dr. Barrows at Friendly Dental in Indian Trail, NC for six years and has always been very happy with Dr. Barrows and his staff. I, recently, broke a molar and was absolutely terrified to go to a Dentist as I am terrified of Dentists. Dr. Barrows and his staff took great care of me. Dr. Barrows knew I was scared and did an AWESOME job of keeping me calm and explaining each step of what he was doing. I felt absolutely no pain whatsoever. I was completely comfortable the entire time including during my filling in a large tooth. Everyone was so understanding of my situation. Over the six years I have been using Dr. Barrows I have had absolutely no issues and Im not an easy person to please. I would travel an hour or more to see this great Dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Barrows and his staff at Friendly Dental of Indian Trail.

I went to Friendly Dental of Indian Trail for a checkup. The staff and faculty is great at there work. They are kind and will answer any questions you have. The dentists are great. They help you feel safe. Best of all they are all happy to be there and have great attitudes. Friendly Dental of Indian Trail is a great place for dental service.

I would give 5 stars to the staff, but not to doctors. They do not correspond with the name of this place friendly, at least in Indian Trail. If you need help to fix some issue of work done in another city or state, they will never accept and offer you a new work for a huge charge! There are plenty of really friendly clinics around.

I had an excellent experience this week at Friendly Dental. I was searching for a new dentist, and I believe I have found a professional, courteous team. I was given an appointment the day I called, the paper work was handled quickly, I didnt have to wait long because the office is very efficient. I have already made my next appointment. When we moved to North Carolina in 2003 it took me good 4 years to find a good dentist... tried a lot of dental offices that I will not come back to.But this office is amazing and I absolutely love my dentist Dr. Barrows! My daughter started at age 3 and loves every trip to dentist. Although it is a little far away ... 40 min, but its worth it.My family loves it!

This was our second appointment with Friendly Dental. They were so nice and so accommodating to myself and my two little girls. We were in and out of there quick and the Dentist and Hygienist were excellent! So happy we found this Dentist!!! I highly recommend them!

They recommend crowns on two molars almost two months ago, first week to date I have excurcationing pain from hot and cold sensitivity, obviously my nerves are exposed from to much grinding. I complained to the office and had a visit, ibropfofen was recommended with no relief, I was told if the medications did not solve the problem I would have to have a root canal. I am so unhappy I can no longer enjoy my meals, they have ruined my mouth, if I have to pay for a root canal I will sue.

My husband had a bad toothache and needed a tooth pulled. He called around and Friendly Dental was able to bring him in. They told him he had one tooth that was bothering him and another tooth that was dead and would bother him eventually should it become infected. With insurance wed have to pay $90 for the one they said needed to be pulled and another $100 for the dead tooth. He had just the tooth they said was causing him the pain pulled. He continued to have issues after it was pulled and went back in. He was told it was a beautiful extraction and that there would be pain after an extraction. He continued to have pain. He was able to be worked into our normal dentist today and it was the dead tooth bothering the whole time and we only paid $62. They clearly pulled the wrong tooth. They are over priced and I have no faith in their knowledge of issues with dental problems. There are plenty of dentist in this area and remember they set their own prices. I would suggest this be a last desperate attempt at getting help.

The staff was very friendly and thoughtful. They even gave my daughter some paper to draw on and let her watch cartoons while I got my teeth cleaned. The prices are very reasonable as well. Ill definitely be back!

Went there to get a normal cleaning ended up with the doctor coming in just trying to sell me stuff for over an hour. After I declined paying extra they said they didn’t have time to do a normal cleaning that I wanted originally. I Defiantly would not recommend this place seems like a scam trying to get money out of you and if you decline they won’t do anything.

I love it all my life I didnt like dentist. So I didnt go.As long as I live in N.C.because I Moved here from Rhode Island. And I have to say this is the best dentist That I have been to in A lot of years And I just wanna tell them thank you

Everyone else was nice also! I just dont remember everyones names. I will be going back for more work in the future!

I have had many dental issues since my children were born. The Friendly Dental dentists and staff were wonderful!! They walked me through everything step by step and made me comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful, however I was not impressed with the dentist. He made me feel really uncomfortable about getting an X-ray (I was pregnant at the time) and two of the fillings he did have fallen out. I went back and he fixed one, but after another one came out, I switched dentists and will NOT be going back.

This is one of the most professional practices I have ever been to. The Doctors, and staff are outstanding. Today was officially my third visit and the service was great. Pushy to try and get you to sign up for credit to pay for dental procedures or to pay and schedule asap.New, clean office space.Main dentist is good at his job but overall I wouldnt call him, his staff or this place friendly if that is what you want out of a dentist. In less than a year they are always doing fillings on my wife and me. My wife got a second opinion and said they were not needed.I think they may be a bit more liberal with doing fillings to make more $$$$. Going to a new dentist now.

I did not have a good experience. After having to change dentist due to an insurance change I gave them a try, the dentist was aggressive and left gauze in my mouth which I found hours later at home. Also I was offered multiple aggressive treatments and informed he refused to repair a chipped tooth he stated he would have to be removed for an implant. $$$$$$. Two other dentist (one a specialty dentist) I have spoke with since have informed me that this is not necessary at his time and repairing the chip is a reasonable 5/8 year fix. Which is what I wanted.The receptionist staff were very nice.

I had my first visit to Family Dental today and must say, this was the best experience Ive had with Dentists (and I worked as an assistant, hygienist & office mgr for almost 24 years). The entire staff & Dr Barrows we above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Everything was explained and options given. I was really dreading this trip but wish now Id gone many months ago as I became one of those back sliders about 3 years ago. They were awesome. Great clean office. Cannot say enough good. If youre looking for a great office with professional, compassionate staff & Drs., LOOK NO FURTHER!! This is absolutely the place to be!I was just in again today 11/1/2012 for some surgical procedures performed by Dr Miller this time. IS there a BAD dentist in this practice, even a slack one??? DO NOT THINK SO. Dr Miller was very professional, but kind & gentle, EXTREMELY knowledgeable, kept asking if everything was OK - which it was. I never felt ANYTHING - from the local anesthetic to the extractions and I know they were tough.Talking about having a soft touch, he does. I highly recommend this dental practice and at least the 2 Doctors Ive seen thus far - Dr Barrows & Dr Miller. Must say Daisy, the assistant, was very kind also and did a wonderful job!! Anyone should be happy with this practice and I might also mention, they are very, very reasonable!!In for my 3rd visit today (11/28) and as good as the first 2. Dr Barrows was so patient and gentle. Had a bit of a problem with my blood pressure, as I do from time to time, and he was very patient to let me sit & relax, watch TV. It did come down after Id been there about 2 hrs. He got right back in, did the necessary procedures painlessly Still feel this is a great practice. My daughter was also in with a very challenging procedure - crown for a tooth that was about totally destroyed while wearing braces. Feel he will get good results from his diligent work on this tooth. Wouldnt have wanted to tackle this one!! Thanks Dr Barrows!!

ALWAYS RUNNING LATE:The office called me and asked to move appointment to earlier time slot. I made alternative arrangements for childcare to move appointment, and then I had A BIG WAIT. Why move appointment just to make for longer wait time? At the appointment, I was told that a filling they did only 18 months ago is crumbling and needs to be redone. They offered to do it free of charge, but I will be seeking a new dentist who can do it right the first time.

I went to their office for the first time due to pain in MARCH 2017. I knew I had cavities and needed to get them fixed. It was close to my work and home, so I figured why not give them a try. Not only did the doctor brag about how good he was, he talked about how long he had been in the practice and how he was able to opened up the place. I guess he was trying to make me learn more about his facility, but it sure did come off like bragging the way he talked about it. I just wanted to get in and out of there. When they numbed my upper jaw, my entire left side of my face became burning hot.!!! I actually lost vision out of my left eye. Not only did I totally freak out, and wonder if I was ever going to be able to see out of that eye again. I specifically asked the NURSE if it was normal that I couldnt see at all out of that eye, it was EXTREMELY blurry. The nurse said no it wasnt normal, and said they must have hit something (the nurse said nerve but I apparently can’t write that Bc the CEO calls you and threatens to sue you, even if that’s what the nurse said) when trying to numb me, and it would come back soon. It did not come back as quickly as they thought it would. On top of that, the job they did on my actual tooth is horrible. The tooth is rough, and I feel as though it wasnt done correctly. Needless to say I will never be going back to this dentist ever ever again. I also wanted to add that today 4/19/2018. The CEO decided to call me because he didnt like that I wrote a bad review for his company. He threatened to bring in an attorney!!! Called me a liar, that I couldnt have lost vision nor gotten a hot face due to Novocaine because the doctor wouldnt have done that. Im completely in shock by the way he handled this situation. I had a bad experience at this location, therefore I wrote a review so everyone else can know what happened. The fact that you are questioning if this was even true is wild to me. I strongly hope they learn how to fix problems and speak to an actual human being. SO RUDE!! I decided to post a review because people need to know. I want nothing from them, but they sure didnt handle this the correct way.

Friendly Dental were not only knowledgeable and courteous, but they worked around my unique insurance issue as well. Now, I have the pain problem resolved and can smile for real again! Dr. Miller and the staff really cared and were willing to work with me!

I couldnt be more thankful for my experience at this dentist. I was seen by Dr. Robert Barrows.To begin with I was treated courteously on the phone and didnt have to wait for weeks for an appointment. They took my insurance info over the phone too just so they could run it and have it ready when I came in for my appointment to explain the benefits! Talk about above and beyond. Two pregnancies with nausea and vomiting all 9 months left me with a dread of this visit to the dentist. Although they found many, many cavities they didnt talk down to me or do a guilt trip. They worked on everything in the upper half during this appointment and I will go in for the rest once my insurance rolls over in 2018. This office runs like a well oiled machine, it was so well organized!!Lastly some notes about this specific dentist. Dr. Barrows is like the Captain America of dentistry. He is a perfectionist but at the same time super efficient, because gosh knows the last thing you want is someone dilly-dallying when theyre drilling your teeth. You could really tell he knew exactly what he was doing, he never hesitated. It blew every other dentist Ive been to out of the water. I am very grateful to have discovered this place, where I will go back next time without fear.

I have been going to this dentist for 5 or 6 years. They had a dentist at first that messed up my crown, but she was fired and they promptly took care of me. They have never been anything but nice. They never offer me anything I dont need...I love that! I would highly reccomend this dentist!

I am 61. Over the last three years part of my tooth has broken off. I came to Friendly Dental because my Humana insurance had them on a approved list. Dr.Barrows has completely restored my teeth with three crowns. I am very satisfy with the work completed. Dr Barrows and staff did a great job explaining everything. Thank You.

Had a appointnent for a tooth that I knew needed to be taken out. Take note this was my first time coming to this dentist. Anyways he numbs me one time and leaves the room for the novacaine to come into effect. When he comes back I inform him that I did not feel I was numb, I could tell he got agitated, so instead of taking my word like my other dentist has done he goes into my mouth and pokes around trying to see if Im actually numb, well I wasnt which I already knew, because Ive had a tooth pulled before and told him that I could feel pain, he rudely and loudly says Im pulling the plug Im not going to pull your tooth this dentist had no patience whatsoever. This whole experience was just a big waste of time because he didnt want to numb me again. I have never been treated like this until I came to NOT SO FRIENDLYS DENTIST. Save your time and money and go somewhere you will be cared for the CORRECT WAY.

AMAZING staff and dentist!

Today was my first of many visits to Friendly Dental. I have 6 children and took the first 2 in today. Both of my girls told me that they like both the dentist and hygenist that they saw today. Very personable and kid friendly. They did find cavities in one of the girls and were very helpful in letting me know my OOP cost. So willing to work with me on things that my insurance will not cover.

I cant say enough about this practice and Dr.Gonzales! He was very patient with me and really did his best to put me at ease! I loved that he was very careful to make sure I was numbed up very well-freely gave me the amout of novocaine and time (for it to be fully working)that I needed-and he was kind and understanding throughout the procedure. I will need multiple visits to get everything done and I feel a lot more comfortable now and will make my next appointments a lot more confidently!I HAVE to commend the staff now as well. I am recently disabled and cant drive so I had my first Uber ride and the office ladies saw this. I can only assume it was because of this that they called me to say they noticed I hadnt picked up my prescription and they saw by my address that I didnt live far so they were bringing my prescription TO MY DOOR! This was WAY above and beyond! I cant tell you how much I appreciated that! Thank you ladies!I highly recommend this wonderful office,staff and dentist-thank you all again!

I honestly havent been to the dentist in about 10 years so I was extremely nervous going back. One of molars had cracked almost in half so I had it pulled. I was extremely nervous about the procedure to the point of tears. They were absolutely amazing and it was not bad at all. I have a few more things I need to get taken care of and I will def being going back here for now on. Highly recommend!!!

Love coming here!!! Friendly, Clean, and most of all compassionate. They always take care of you and never hurt you or let you be in pain. The staff is amazing!!!

I took all three of my kids today and was SO impressed by the service. They got us in immediately and worked efficiently to treat all of them at the same time. The staff was so friendly and was even able to complete the visit with my anxious son. Even after the hygienist got a nasty bite from my youngest, she laughed it off!After attempting to take all three to other dentists before, we were all hating the experience. We would wait for over an hour to get out of the waiting room and then over another hour to get all of their teeth checked and cleaned.I highly recommend Friendly Dental and their staff!

**EDIT2**On one of my daughters visits, this location decided to pull out two of my daughters teeth due to cavities. After further inspection and waiting for permanent teeth to grow in, the location did not do their research and actually pulled my daughters permanent teeth! This location will cut as many corners as possible. Steer away.**EDIT**My first review was over 8 months ago but Id like to add an experience that occurred after leaving my first review. My fiance got a phone call from this location from the owner asking us why we rated it a 2 stars and why we rescheduled if we were so disappointed after I said we wouldnt return. My fiance didnt even have a clue that I left a review on google and here she is, getting a harassing phone call less than 24 hours after I left the review. I dont even know how they knew to call my fiance either considering I dont expose any personal information on here that could point to my daughters visit. Manager is obviously on a salty rampage when you leave a bad review, just look at other reviewers getting the same experience I received from this location that also gave it a low star review. Doesnt make sense why they called my fiance and not me, but this is literally just rude calling people based off your bad reviews on Google. I guess we got off easy, apparently owner/ceo is threatening other customers to sue... OKAY buddy. Dropped it from 2 star to 1 star for this reason. Maybe if you spent time improving your location instead of harassing people off of google, you wouldnt get these bad reviews.Had my daughters spacer fall out twice. Dentist told us theres no way itd fallen out without eating sticky candy or food which she didnt. Third time its in, but now her new tooth is growing behind her spacer. If you have a young child, good luck getting any kind of appointment other than a Friday. Apparently thats the only day for laughing gas and a dentist. Inconvenient location and will find elsewhere to go. The staff is friendly and thats why I gave it a 2 stars.

DONT EVER GO TO THIS LOCATION or even Friendly Dental anywhereThese people run a scam ( well like any other dentist :) but again the ones are Indian train are rip offs as they schedule your appointment even when there is no staff to perform.So heres how it goes they call you examine you ( or nice and well) but forget treatment (EVEN for REGULAR CLEANING) we are recommended or next appointment for better wages sorry fees.well so why did I paid them for my first visit, NOT EVEN CLEANING DONE. wow nice and much nicer and all other dentist in charlotte and Monroe area.REMEMBER FRIENDLY DENTAL DOES NOT perform tooth cleaning only oral examination,even recommended and covered with insurance this facility DENIED tooth clean, please advise if I have a case

I had to wait allitle while because they were busy, but the staff is amazing and gentle with your teeth and gums. Would recomend.

My daughters tooth filling has fallen off three times already. Changing her to another place soon I dont think that should happen more than once! And they only take children Fridays how inconvenient.

I went to Union County dental behind hospital in October and was completely misinformed my procedure by a receptionist. When I did leave after Dr Gonzales gave me a prescription to the only medicine Ive ever been allergic to. I was done with Dr Gonzales that day. today I walked into Friendly dental spend an hour explain I have a small bone fragment under my gum good old Dr Gonzales comes in and tries to force to receive 3 shots Lanecain. I just downloaded the complaint from off line. Fair warning. Friendly dental offices employ illegal immigrants and dental school interns. My ex wife had her root canal REMOVED on S Tryon coupes years ago because the Dr didnt believe a 36 yo woman thay she had a root canal. Be warned
