I had an amazing interaction with an employee her name was Shelby. She was assisting the driver when their truck broke down in front of my house. She stayed calm and held a great conversation with me until the driver got the truck working again! I just want her bosses to know she was very kind and made me laugh so much and it really made my day that much better!
DO NOT USE. Republic Services is run by a bunch of thieves. Company regularly misses pickups and then charges arbitrary fees in order to prevent customers from cancelling service. I set up service in June and after 1 month cancelled due to missed pick ups and missed make up pick ups that RS promised they would come for but never once did. I was told at the time that I could not cancel mid-month so was forced to continue with their awful service through the end of July. RS charges in increments of 3 months at a time and charges a fee of $36 per can for delivery. With 3 cans, my first bill was $242. When I cancelled, I was told that there would be an additional $30 per can fee for removal. On top of this, they charge a recovery fee for their fuel and for landfill costs, which is charged as a percentage of the overall bill and includes the arbitrary delivery and removal fees. Even if the service is absolutely terrible, RS won’t refund the delivery fees. I was told that while they would refund the additional $30 per can removal charge (presumably because it’s unethical to do so), they would not refund the delivery fee. So, basically, anyone who signs up with RS and has a bad experience loses their money immediately with no recourse. In addition to all of this, their cans have been sitting on my driveway for a month despite their continued promises to come and pick them up. However, the people working here are so stupid that they have come by and tried to empty the cabs apparently not getting the message that the service has been cancelled for a month. They use fees to bully and coerce customers to stay with them knowing that the customer will basically have no option to cancel their service without incurring an arbitrary and capricious fee. Never use this unethical company. Went to One Planet Sanitation and have had no issues. The only reason they get 1 star is because zero wasn’t an option.
TERRIBLE!!!! Our bill was triple the amount as what a family member pays in the same zip code and no one in their office was able to explain the reason behind the difference. Staff was rude, wait time to speak with someone was ridiculous. Asked to speak to a manager multiple times and was told there was no manager, argued until I canceled the service. Now weve got a bill for $30 for them removing their OWN TRASH CAN. Signed up with Teds and we have been super happy with this service...especially since we never have to talk to them. Your trash service should not be an inconvenience in your life.
Horrible company, too big to care about regular customers. Switched to bi-weekly recycling pickup, not my choice and it has been a total disaster. Not picked up, repeated phone calls by wife and myself of which neither of us have the time for. Same as other reviews, itll be picked up within x amount of time which of course it wasnt. Put the bins out last night, and what a nice sight to come home to my recycling bin not picked up, but tipped over into my yard. I just love picking up trash in 95° weather. Save your time and money, find a local company that actually cares about their customers.
Update on my experience with Republic Services: cancelled service end of July and my trash cans have not been picked to be hauled away up still. They have been sitting out there for over two weeks now. Every time I call they say that the pickup to get my cans keeps getting “canceled” by me which is not true. This is after the fact I went over a month of them not picking up my recycling which is why we switched service in the first place. They also cannot fathom my someone would cancel service and want their cans hauled away who isn’t moving.My advice: never do business with Republic Services. You will just have a headache, and a dead and stinky lawn from no pickups ever.

Never delivered bins, even after several phone calls. Tried to cancel service after the fourth call still produced no bins. Didnt close the account, didnt refund my deposit, and has robo-called to tell me about a delinquent account. Now, I simply cant get someone on the phone. The worst service I can imagine in any capacity. Its almost like the employees are trained to pretend theyre putting in tickets...

By far the most pitiful company and customer service I have dealt with it almost 60 years. Three weeks ago I called in to start yard waste pick up. I was assured by the representative that my waist would be picked up on my next trash day. This of course did not happen. When I called in and after a 30 minute wait, The representative I spoke to told me my request was not even in the system. I told the representative that I most certainly had made the request and even quoted the correct price for the service. I was transferred to another representative who basically said we can’t give you any idea when the service will start. If you are in independence Missouri I strongly advise you to search out ANY other company for your trash needs.P.S. Went with Ted’s Trash Service. Absolute night and day in comparison. Trash container was delivered in two days and all my lawn waste was picked up the first trash day!

Everything about republic services is awful. I wish I could give zero stars. They switched us to biweekly recycling, offered an extra bin at no charge per a letter sent to my house. Extra bin didn’t get delivered on the day they said it would so I called again, it gets delivered a week later and I get charged $70 for two deliveries ($35 each). I call and say I only got one and they offer to remove one delivery charge. I dispute that it was to be free and the lady argued that the letter didn’t mention free delivery.. what does “at no charge to you” mean to anyone? Eventually I get someone who understands and get the charges off after 5 calls and well over 2 hours of phone time. Well now my recycling has been on my curb for 4 days past my pickup date, I called each day and was promised each day it would be picked up. Well now I’m going into memorial weekend with two overflowing bins. I cannot wait to leave republic and I’m 100% positive they don’t even care. So beware if you’re considering them. Horrible service and awful customer service.Update: I emailed the below email as they told me to do and 2 days later I have yet to hear anything. I have been promised a phone call from operations, dispatch and billing and not received a single one.Update 2: A week has passed since I emailed the address they requested and no one has reached out. Everything was finally picked up very late but I have never heard any more. I am sure as far as they are concerned this case is closed. 6/8/2021Update 3: They never reached out to me. I did however find a person to help take care of my issue and fix my billing troubles. It was a nightmare. But now I had another missed recycling pickup on 7/14/2021. Being that recycling is biweekly now this means I have to go a month, again. I have currently been on hold to try and resolve the issue for 21:46 and counting.I stand by my opinion that this company sucks and officially going to cancel. I have regular trash and recycling.I got a letter in the mail last year stating that in order to keep costs from going up, they are changing recycling from weekly to biweekly.( this is a 50% increase). Im paying more for less.Anyway, the letter stated I could get a second recycle container for free. I called. They said itd be delivered Thur. 2 Thursdays pass, no can.I called, they rescheduled. Its been 3 months and still no can.Also, Ive never had a consistent bill. Each cycle it goes up by a couple dollars and idk why.I will say in the 3 years weve been with republic, they have only missed one time and it was my recycle. They came and got it the next week.I get that more people are home which means more trash, but if you are going to cut service in half, some of that savings should be rolled out to the consumer. I hate that every time I get a bill, its more expensive then last time
I have called several times to have an extra dumpster picked up which was already at my residence when I purchased my home. It has been 2 months and its still here I really wish they would do what they say. Dumpster is almost in middle of the road. I will go with a different company at end of October
This company is awful. 3 times Ive been promised that their bins would be picked up they have yet to be removed from my property after canceling service in July. Just bought my house in April had to call every SINGLE week to have my trashed picked up. Trash day is Monday & it was always either Friday or Sunday before being removed. If I could give 0 stars thats exactly what they would get. Please DO NOT use this company if you have a choice.
Cancelled service after having to call about once a week for missed pickups. Apparently, they will owe me 2 months that I pre-paid. To get my money, I need to call after August 15th and request a refund. I guess they wont be getting their bins back on the 10th then! Send me my refund, you get the bins back. Im not putting up with your lying hold music for half an hour one more time, and Im beyond done with dealing with Republic/Allied, whatever your name is. BBB should get involved at this point. 5 day delayed trash pickup in JULY is stupid. Adding a photo of the typical wait time to speak to anyone.

This place is horrible. Payed waited 3 weeks for a delivery of my trashcan they never showed up. Then call to cancel and can not get my money back for the life of me. So at what point will Republic actually pick up trash? At this point the community is paying double Teds price for what... 2 pickups of regular trash a month? Beyond ridiculous.
They will try and trick you when you want to cancel. Cancelation requires CERTIFIED Mailed letter at least 60 days from your contract end date. If you dont send it certified mail, they renew you for another 3 years. So phone calls, emails, and normal letters just dont count when you want to cancel. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Each time you call, expect to have to call back at least 3 times to complete even the most basic task, like stopping or starting service. DO NOT USE, or you will be wasting hours of your time trying to communicate.
This is a horrible service. I’ve called several times to complain about them collecting trash from dumpsters at between 3-4 am every weekend, but they do nothing about it. This is a violation of the noise ordinance in Overland Park. They should show some respect. Horrible.
I had their service for two years and over the course of the last year they steadily increased service fees with no reasons given. Pickups were missed but were consistent enough I didnt bother to complain until I saw a 30% jump in my bill. When I called to ask why, they quickly offered the me a loyalty rate that was still higher than my last bill. Switched to a local service that does not charge admin fees or other sneaky increasing fee tactics.
Summary: Signing up with Republic Services means you will spend time dealing with missed pickups and thoroughly reviewing your bill each quarter due to their increases. Also beware there is a cancellation fee, just disguised as a bin pick up fee.*Service:I originally signed up with Allied Waste 10 years ago which was then acquired by Republic Services. Over the years we had small problems, bins being left partially in the street, some trash spilling into the yard, nothing major, but after a while, these items do add up. More recently we have begun to have missed pickups.Billing:Our bill continues to go up while the overall service has gone down. When we call regarding increases, they offer loyalty discounts that brings their fees back into the range of competitors. Ultimately, what we were quoted was never what they billed due to administrative and fuel fees that were not consistent from quarter to quarter. Billing is quarterly, which does seem fairly typical.Missed Services:We finally decided to cancel after having a missed service that we called on three days in a row and was still not picked up. The first day, we were told they would have a truck come by. The second day, we were told it would be at the end of the day. The third day, we were told they do not recover missed pickups on Thursdays, so it would be done Friday. When I called the local phone number, it directs to a regional call center. The representative that answered said they are in a regional facility in North Carolina and she had no name, email, or alternate phone number that I could contact to get more details as to if/when my trash would be picked up.They do not credit for missed services as long as they pick it up before your next scheduled day. So if they miss on Tuesday, and pick up the following Monday, you will not receive a credit. I do expect to only pay for services I receive.Cancellation Process:Upon cancelling, you will be billed $30 for the company to pick up your bin. This seems extremely high to me, so I asked if I could deliver it to the location it needs to go to and was told that is not an option. It is a bit frustrating to try to cancel after 10 years due to declining service and then be forced to pay a fee to cancel. They do state there is no fee to cancel, which is technically correct, as it is charged as a bin pickup fee, not a cancellation fee. However, as you do not have any other option, this comes across as underhanded. It was also not something that was disclosed to me at any point in my long history with the company.
Worst customer service. I canceled my service, and I was told I would receive a refund check for the time period I paid ahead for that I did not use. They also told me they would pick up my dumpster, and they said nothing about a removal fee. I never received a refund check, and now I have a past due balance for a removal fee that I knew nothing about. I called to dispute the charge. The customer service rep said the best she could do was give me half off the charge. I told her that I did not feel that I should have to pay anything because I was never made aware of the removal fee, and I never received my refund check. I asked to speak to her supervisor. The supervisor was extremely rude and told me I had to pay the full charge, and there was nothing she could do. I told her I would go ahead and pay the half off that the previous person offered. She said no, and that I had to pay the full charge. Horrible company.
WARNING...DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. We cancelled, July 2019, due to missed pickups, price increases and poor customer service. Now we cannot get them to pick up the cans. It has been two weeks of daily calls and promises from Republic that are not kept. The Customer Service Rep explained cans are picked up by a third party. We asked to have someone from Management call us...that has not happened. We have a HOA and cannot leave cans out for extended periods. No one on our street uses Republic. If there was a rating of “minus” I would use that. A “1” rating is generous. Use this service at your own risk!
I cancelled my service at the end of September and was told my bin would be picked up on October 3. After letting it sit out on the curb for an extra day I called to see why it had not been picked up. I was told they had to reschedule it and would be out the next week to get it. They did not and rescheduled my bin pickup again without informing me. It was not picked up and I again contacted them yet again and was told October 15 to have my been out again. It was not picked up and I left it out for the rest of the week. After contacting them again I was told to leave the bin out and that it would be picked up by end of business. It was not and now my neighbors are getting frustrated with our bin being on the curb everyday. We have started service with another company who has regular non-fluctuating rates and great communication. I will not recommend Republic to anyone ever again because of how they have treated me since starting their service and their lack of professionalism during cancellation.
I have now been with this company for a month and still have not received any trash service. I’ve called over 50 times about this issue and it still seems to not get resolved. I have a months worth of trash sitting in my garage due to not being serviced, but don’t worry they promise I’ll be serviced tomorrow..... I’ve heard that for 3 weeks now...... when the company bio says trash company they really are a “trash” company!
We moved to Lees Summit and had service through Republic for a couple of months. They failed to pick up trash, recycling, or yard waste (sometimes all 3) almost every single week so we fired them after 2 months. They have set up multiple dates to pick up their bins, so they are no longer at my house, and have once again failed. I don’t know what to do with these bins other than set fire to them on fire in the middle of the street which would be as close to a dumpster fire as their service was. Please attempt to get these off of my property for a 3rd time.Anyone looking for good service in Lees Summit - we moved to WCA and they’ve been great so far.
Their drivers seriously need to slow down while driving, they fly past my house no reguards for safety to humans or animals speed limit is 25 in residential not 35 smh blowing trash everywhere ..Ive tried to call to speak to someone always on hold for long, long periods of time ...
Too bad we can’t give a negative star review. Last week they missed coming entirely.... this week, the trash truck showed up but the yard waste didn’t. We even called in the morning to ensure they wouldn’t fk up again. Most worthless service I’ve ever had.
This is the most unreliable garbage service ever. They dont show up for weeks and nothing gets done. I call they reschedule then cancel. This has happened more than once. I would never recommend this garbage company EVER!!! I wish I would have read the reviews first. So if someone else is reading these do not use Republic for your trash.
I was outside today with my dog, and a trash truck was coming by, well my dog was a little skittish. The driver stopped his truck on the corner for a few seconds and then asked if my dog wanted a treat. I really thought that was nice of him to do. It was extremely nice of him to do in todays world, where everyone is in a rush to get to where they are going.Also, we have had excellent service from Republic. 100% better than AAA.
Republic Services: the irrefutable CHAMPIONS of unexplained missed pickups! You like stinky garbage sitting at your curbside several days after your scheduled pickup? How about rancid rotting compost? If you do, then Republic is THE waste collection service for YOU! Seriously though - if another provider is available in your area of residence, go with them. Ive been a customer of Republic for a few months now, and its been nothing but failed commitments and disappointment...not to mention the embarrassment that comes with being the only jackass in the neighborhood with his bins sitting out at the end of the driveway for several days after your neighbors had theirs removed as scheduled. Unacceptable. Dishonest. Lacking integrity. Lacking follow-through. Lacking accountability. Lacking solutions. Inconsistent. Amateur hour customer service. Theres never any supervisors available to assist you once you hit the inevitable brick wall that is their inept first tier customer support personnel. I hope the market punishes them severely for their resolute commitment to FAILURE.
We went over a month without our trash being picked up. Finally fired this company and went with Teds and never had a customer service problem. By the way. It took them over 11 months to pickup their containers.
1 star is being generous. I called them to start service when I moved in. week later cans never showed up. So I called and they had no idea why theyd never been delivered. So I waited a couple more days. After that, I called another company who could deliver cans that day. So I called to cancel the cans and service with Republic that never showed up. A few weeks later I received a bill for services and cans I never even received. So when I called customer service to ask why, they said I was signed up for curbside bag service even though I was looking at a bill that was for bins. So they cancelled the bill. And now Im looking at ANOTHER bill a few weeks later for the same thing and their customer service line has been down for days. Heed my warning, this is the worst company I have ever had experience with. Not just trash. Any company at all. There is a reason I dont see a single one of their cans anywhere in town. Ill keep calling to get my issue resolved, but do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this company as possible.

This is how the recycle truck left our trash can today. Notice the wheels busted off after the truck dragged the can 10 feet from where it was?! This is not the first time the can is dumped in driveway behind our vehicle. They also slammed the can down so hard it tore a chunk out of our yard & busted a wheel off which we were able to fix that time. Curious to see how much Im charged when I cancel.
Dont waist your money. I think they just dont care for their customers anymore. I was going to give a 1 star rating but since customer service has been working with me almost every week when they do not pick up trash gets 2 stars. Not sure what happen recently but they use to be reliable. Looking for another trash service, Shame.
Missed pickup, left trash in cans. I got the service and it seemed like a good deal. They missed pickup on recycling on my first 2 weeks. Then missed again two or three weeks later. During Christmas it was supposed to be a day late, then another day late because of weather. They never showed up. Saw Teds doing their pickups, though. Called on Friday and they assured me it would be picked up on Saturday. It was not. Finally picked up the following week (last week) and left a bag in trash can. Fed up I called them and said if there were any more issues, Id cancel. Yesterday they left a bunch of foam in the can. I called to cancel just now. It was about $12 to get cans when I started service. Over $40 to get them removed. Im done.
If you read all of the comments you will see a theme.... two out of the three weeks this month. I called everyday asking for a pickup and customer service sent escalations...Now I have cancelled service but I still have a full trash can as I am still waiting for them to come.When your business model is to pickup trash on time, you might want to follow through.
Missed pick up on Monday. Called Tuesday to reschedule pick up for missed visit. Rescheduled for Thursday. Missed pick up again on Thursday. Less than helpful customer service. Won’t provide discount or additional pick up even though it was their fault for missing.
Watched the truck drive down my street and ignore the trash bins left out for the second week in a row. My roommate has been calling them every day for a week. We get promises of it getting picked up the next day and it doesnt. They say they will escalate our issue and that hasnt been getting us anything. They finally came back today and got our trash after calling them.
By far the worst experience ever with a trash company. Actually, the only bad one Ive ever had, because its really pretty simple. I put the trash at the curb and the people that I PAY TO PICK IT UP do just that. Pay whatever you have to in order to not use these people. Theyve left my full dumpster at the curb for a week now, and could absolutely care less. Totally worthless!!!
Canceled service. Not sure whats going on with them but the missed pick ups are unacceptable. Customer service tells you that the problem will be remedied but it never is.Follow up: They billed me for service even though I canceled. Attempting to collect an additional payment for picking up their container. The whole point of my cancellation of service was that they didnt pick up when they were supposed to and now I have to pay a pick up fee? WRONG.
Be aware that in addition to a monthly trash service they also sneak in a fuel surcharge and administrative fee. If you ever decide to cancel they charge you 20 dollars to come out and pick up their cart, even after telling them we could bring it in. They would not leave us that option. Oh on the bright side, their customer service is absolutely horrible. I would not recommend this company to anyone at all.
We were skipped on 2/9/19 due to poor road conditions. Which is fine. I understand that! We were told it would be picked up on 2/11/19 instead and to keep our trash at the curb. It is 2/15/19 and our trash is still sitting at our curb overflowing and with bags sitting next to it. We’ve had a ticket in to ensure pick up on 2/11/19 or 2/12/19 and have called every day with no results. Not sure why someone thought it was a good idea to wait until another potential snow storm to service our neighborhood.
The Trash Service is good I have never had an issue. However, I started out in 2015 with them paying 56.00 then it gradually has gone up to 79.92 the current bill May 2017 . Every time I get a bill it is higher than the last. Nothing has changed in my service, Now the BASE cost is 57.00 Before they add all the Fuel/Environmental fees. In two years it has increased $23.92 per billing cycle and continues to increase each time.
Was quoted a reasonable price for dumpster, but could not get a contract via email. After 3rd call to find out where contract was, was told not the correct price. Never had problems with Superior.!!!!

They have torn down my power lines to my building due to careless drivers, not once, but TWICE!, and REFUSED to pay for the damages, in addition- I have been trying to cancel service with them, via email, phone, and certified letter- and the account rep actually told me he had NOT received the certified letter that I sent him, THAT I HAD THE RETURN RECEIPT FOR!!!! They continue to refuse to take their dumpster off my property even though I have called, emailed, sent certified letters, and BEGGED them to take their dumpster off my property- DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! THE BEST PART!!!!- THEY RAISED MY RATES BY OVER 100% AND MY NEW TRASH COMPANY DOES THE SAME SERVICE WITH A BIGGER CONTAINER FOR HALF THE PRICE!
I am not the type of person to write reviews, especially to complain about service but this has by far been ridiculous and definitely not necessary. Ive had Republic Services for two years now. I have not had anything wrong until recently. Missed pick-ups have been occurring more and more often and that to me is not professional at all let alone being afraid of having neighbors complain due to smell and flied all because they do not do their job. Its a weeks worth of trash & diapers in those trash bags for them to accidentally or be delayed to pick up trash when there was a contract signed that the pickup dates are EVERY MONDAY. I hope this gets resolved so more people wont complain.
We have not had issues with missed pickups, but I called to see if they would pick up some deck chairs that didnt survive the winter (even thought they were sheltered and covered!) and a few pieces of carpet leftover from putting new carpet in our home. They said they would but it costs $46 for each piece!! Thats ridiculous - weve been customers for 15 yrs and never have overages on trash pickup. We expected to have an extra charge but $46 per piece left us cold. Will likely look elsewhere for trash service.

Republic Services of Independence Mo has no sense of customer service. As others have stated if I could rate this company a ZERO I would have. I transferred this service stupidly on May 1st, and have yet to have a correct pu. Then you have to call and sit on the line for 2-30 minutes. I am in the process of cancelling and have been on hold now for 38 minutes and am going to go to their address that is listed once it reaches an hour of wait time and tell them where to take their service. DO NOT START SERVICE WITH THIS COMPANY!
Would give zero stars if an option. Cancelled service in June, was told to have barrels at street on July 5. Barrels were not picked up until August 10th after numerous calls and being told different days that they would be picked up. Received a refund check and then a bill for 30$. Upon calling they acknowledged they sent a refund but would not take that money off of the $30 for the container pick up. When told them that I was never informed of the container pickup fee they proceeded to tell me that other companies do the same thing and I told them that that that was not true thats the trash service I am with now does not have that fee. When I told them I was not going to pay the $30 because they sent me a refund the agent said okay dont pay your bills and ended the conversation. Customer service is very poor and you will be on hold for a very long time in trying to reach someone when issues arise. Im not one to post negative comments but in reading others comments they could use some help in the customer service department.
Horrible. They have not picked up our trash for three weeks. We call everyday and get told itll be the next day before they come, and the next day. They NEVER have came yet! Yesterday was read off the remarks and the agent I spoke to even said they have reached out to the driver and the driver is just not coming and ignoring us!
Pity that there isnt a 0 star rating, because these guys have worked hard to earn it! Ive been a customer of theirs for around 10 years now and we have had to constantly deal with cost increases that we are not notified of before they are applied, missed pickups, cans that are not completely emptied, drivers who just drive past our house without even stopping (only to call and find out that our can was blocked), and management that has no cares for the customer.I have rarely run into a company that seems to have so much disdain for their customers.
By far the worst trash service ever! They missed my trash for a whole month. When I called to cancel and ask them to come get their bin they told me it would be a month before they could. Absolutely ridiculous. In the first month of service they came one time. Left the bin half empty. I highly advise nobody use their services.
Unreliable pick-up, rude customer service. 2 years of headaches about pick-ups, each time Im accused of not putting trash out on time, b.s. put it out the night before because of my work hours. now, have not recieved a bill last two quarters, not on paperless(until today) tried to charge a late fee last time, got that fixed. seems I have to call to correct something every other week. the most unreliable and incompetent company I have ever dealt with!
Been with them for several years. They are consistent and notify you of any changes for pickup like holidays etc. Runs about 50 a month.
Their description of themselves is laughable. Outstanding customer service ...that couldnt be further from the truth. In fact, it is the opposite. We moved here in November. The previous home owner had republic trash service and the trashcans were left here. To save tine and resources, we decided to enroll in their services and use them as our company since the cans were already here. Called and set up everything. Two weeks went by and all the sudden our trashcans disappeared. We watched our surveillance video and sure enough, republic stopped by to pick them up. My husband calles the next day and asked what happened as we have never been late on a bill in our lives, and hadnt even gotten a full bill yet, so why were our cans taken? They told us that the previous home owner had canceled the service so they didnt cross check the new owner information and picked up the trashcans by mistake. It took 2 weeks for us to ger our trashcans back. Then the bill arrived and we were now charged a drop off fee for them having to drop off the trashcans at our home?! When they mistakenly picked them up?! My husband has called every month for this fee. He has even spoken to managers. All saying, we will take care of this fee for you and yet we keep receiving this notice. They have sent a bill threatening to send us to collections. Its not about the money. It is the fact it isnt our mistake! We have canceled their service and signed up with TEDS and they dropped our trashcans off THE NEXT DAY! Republic waited 2 weeks.... avoid Republic if you can. They are laughable as a company. Will be reaching out to a local news station if they decide not to remove this fee.
No integrity. Say they bill quarterly yet I get an invoice monthy and very sporadically . If I dont pay monthly, they charge a $35 fee!!!! Very shady! They say they call me and email me to notify me that I missed a payment but Ive never received one phone call or email. Ive been a customer for over 10 years. This issue just started happening this year. Fix your issues!!!!!!
For the last two weeks they have missed their pick ups. Leaving us with a full trash can to deal with. When I called to finally cancel I was told that it would be next monday or Tuesday before someone could come out and pick up the garbage. When we called it was one excuse after another. One guy called in sick another had to leave early....no one else can come out to empty our trash? They only have two drivers?When I finally called to cancel I was told that I would have to pay an additional 20.00 fee for them to come and get the trash recpeticle.They did however credit us for the last two weeks because they were days late picking up the trash.I would definitely not recommend republic trash services for residential service. Maybe its different for commercial but based on my experience I think it would not be a good investment.
Has been excellent so far however I tried to order a large container several times never going to call back
Never had problems with them picking up our trash. People need to keep in mind that there are always two sides to a story and that the people that work here are human and have families as well. Just my two cents.
If I could give them zero stars I would. They took over Superior Disposal and Ive had problems since. Trash containers are always left knocked over, on auto pay but being charged late fees constantly, without explanation they have increased my bill. Poor customer service to the point Im switching companies.
We’ve had this trash company for 2 years and counting but they seem to forget to pick up our trash about once a month. We call and don’t get the best customer service. We pay our bill on time if not early. They forgot it this Thursday and can’t come until next week. Very frustrating!
Dont pick up trash when theyre supposed to. Its been 3 weeks since theyve gotten my recycling. And they want to charge me $20 to come pick up my trash cans to cancel service. Their slogan should be Republic, where our service is TRASH!
They haven’t picked up my recycle in weeks. When you call and complain they will refund you but it doesn’t amount to anything. They charged me for two drop offs for two cans even though it took one trip. They are horrible glad I canceled
Miss pickup days. I call and they promise a pickup but don’t show. Trash is full and I have no place to put it. Worst service ever. Find a different service. Zero stars

I used the website trying to check the rates for service for my home. Republic Services website refuses to quote rates saying that my address is not a valid address.Its odd how the City of Independence, the state of Mo., post office, school district, mortgage company, and utilities all recognize my address but Republic Services website cant.I decided to call to discuss the rates and was hoping to get service started. I was on the phone for over 10 minutes never to be acknowledged. If your call volume is truly that high maybe you should take the callers number and call them back rather than waste their time.I really wish I had seen the reviews before wasting my time.Also quoting how great you were in 2012 and 2013 makes me wonder about the last 3 years, hmm.
Absolutely horrible - they never do what they say and constantly miss pickups. They have no problem lying to your face.

I called 2 weeks ago to set up trash service. They told me 7 days to get my trash can. 7 days later I called and they said it was to be delivered that day. Never showed up. Ive called everyday since and no one can tell me anything. I plan om cancelling and just going with Teds. This is ridiculous.
Have been with this company for almost five years. In the last two or so years their services have been poor. At one time our trash had not been picked up for three weeks. From filing a complaint to taking it all the way to their escalation department, we continued to have the same problems over and over again. There is a lot more I can say about republic waste sevices but I wont Waste anymore of my time. My wife and I are totally done with this companies lack of trust and reliance for consumers like myself. Ignored and forgotten no more. Were done.
They are 5 days late on picking up my trash and they have rescheduled my trash pickup 2 days in a row. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, the lady told me she could have one give me a call back then when I told her I would like to do their survey she said have a great day and hung up on me without asking me my phone number for a supervisor to call me back and I didn’t get to do the survey. So here is my survey, now publicly instead of through your service...I am in customer service so I know how to speak to customers and it’s definitely not with a snarky attitude that every one of your reps has had with our calls and you don’t hang up on people. I have almost 2 weeks of trash sitting in my front yard waiting on your company to do your job. I’m sure you guys are getting tired of me and my husband calling everyday asking if someone is coming today. I politely asked her if she could just call the trash truck to verify that today they are actually going to pick it up and she said they don’t have direct contact with the drivers. So Republic Trash you don’t have your drivers cell numbers on file? Sounds legit. You guys could use better customer service training and maybe an update on your communications system.
Only because I couldnt give a negative 10.. multiple times the trash wasnt completely dumped and left half full and spilt all over the ground. When we finally canceled our bill reached $96.00 for 3 months and should have been close to 60/65. Wrote a letter stating this and it took them 2 weeks to come get their can and then they send another bill for can recovery. . DO NOT USE THEM..
Horrible Service we have had cans left tipped over, half full, not picked up, Damage to our yard. WE called over and over no one ever calls back. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!
Took our Tash container and have not picked up 2 weeks and have paid trash service and they keep telling us they will give us a new trash container and has never been delivered at all
$46 a quarter,, (They dont tell you about, admin fee, enviro-mental fee, fuel recovery fee, etc. )$115.00 a quarter. minimum fee. Price has been increasing $12.00 What a joke. Poor service also. leaves trash on the street, in the yard.
I had trash service through this company for over a year. They raised prices in that year to twice what we originally agreed on. They also would send me invoices and charge me for services I had already paid. This company is deceitful and not trustworthy.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Never on time and never picks up all the trash!

Half the time Thay dont pick up. Ether my trash can is to close.are not close enough. Cant have any trash on top of the can.to many reasons. Why Thay didnt pick up.
In late May of 1015 and early June of 2015 I called Republic Trash. No one responded to my voicemails so I sent them an email.[I did get a response from a gentleman; however, he informed me that only our sales person could handle the cancellation that I requested.It was 3 weeks before we heard from her, but figured no problem since we made had contact before the cut-off for cancellations. Wrong. She informed me that we needed to have a cancellation request sent to them via registered mail.She did not give us an address to send it to so we sent it to the billing address. The only response received after that was we owed $1,354.88 if we did not renew the contract.The owner of JAEGERS, LLC asked if we could redo the contract for a small dumpster to be located on outdoor paintball field. They said no because they could not take a truck up our hill. In response we paid the $1,354.88 so that they would not take us to collections as they threatened and we terminated the contract.NOTE: The owner has been trying to cancel this contract with Republic Trash every 3 years for the past 6 years.Republic Trash is a business lacking integrity and business ethics, and JAEGERS wants its $1,354.88 back.It is hard to believe that our sales person was on vacation for three weeks. If you check into this it will validate our claim that they are an unethical business lacking integrity and morals.
I will be calling the BBB tomorrow! After reading all these reviews Im surprised more have not called! This place needs to be shut down because apparently they HAVE NO CLUE how to run a company! Ithink everyone with the same issues should call BBB and make a complaint as well!Terrible trash service AND customer service! Still waiting for them to pick up trash on an account I closed 2 days after THEY missed my trash! Now no one can tell me when they will pick it up. For 3 days now all Ive gotten is you are scheduled for pick up today and no supervisors are available they will return your call 24 to 48 hours now Im going on a week without trash service that cost me almost 200 dollars for 4 months???? Terrible company and I would NOT recommend to anyone...

Had them 3 weeks now. They havent picked up once without me having to call and tell them they missed our trash. Ive called almost everyday for 2 weeks now about missed trash and still cannot get my trash picked up. Dropping them and finding a new company ASAP.
Terrible customer service they lie about everything secondly outrageous pricing they up your bill over their fuel cost to pick up your trash and when you quit their service they try to charge you 30$ to pick up the trash can crooked business
Drivers are so lazy they dont get out and pick up the trash they dump on the ground drop the container leaving it lay on its side across the driveway tacky none professional
