I bought my 17 yr old car earlier this year and initially took it to Firestone to be checked out, they wanted thousands in repairs, I said no and they broke my muffler. This time I went to Buddys for an oil change and to be checked out and they said my car was in great shape. Will definitely take it there for any future car stuff.

I really thought the engine was shot, but they found an airpocket that explained everything. Engine working fine again! Good job!!

Mike got my car fixed up quickly and it runs great. The part was under warranty but there was a small labor charge. I feel he treated me more than fair because he could have inflated the price and I wouldnt have known. Mike has honestalways been with me me and I truly appreciate that. He treats me like he would treat a family member or close friend. I will never go anywhere else.Buddies Rules!

I went to Buddys for the first time after buying my car in February from a shady car dealership Ive had a few things wrong that I wasnt aware of. My radiator was cracked and I couldnt take it to the shop my Mom normally goes to in Oak Grove because of the damage it would cause. I was called with the price and the problem before fixing. Went there to get a state inspection. Was treated with respect and courtesy. The waiting room was tidy even to the detail of the magazines on the table. They obviously take pride in their operation. They found that I needed coolant reservoir hose replaced. I was very pleased with the service.

I needed a new headlight assembly done through warranty and they went above and beyond negotiating with the warranty department and getting both sides replaced brand new. They look amazing.

Was able to get in for an oil change and to check my brake pads out the next day after calling in. Service was performed promptly and Mike is very friendly. He also gave me suggested maintenance for my next appointment in! Thanks guys!

Found reviews online that peaked our interest so we made the drive from Lenexa. Mike will shoot you straight and do it for a fair price. There are probably places closer but we will happily make the drive for any future issues.

Dude was rude when I called for a quote, dealership ended up getting my business. Sad thing he has been working on said car for years it was my dads and he passed and left it to me but buddy didnt treat me with long time costumer courtesy. Rude rude rude.

They charge me $92 just to removed some some ice (snow) out my tires all that for labor. They are not your buddies thats for sure. First and last time! Ill tell all my friends so they dont go there and over pay for no reason.

Went here for Inspection. They were quick but thorough. I would definitely recommend them. They fit me in -last minute on Saturday, when no one else would, and I still was able to make it to DMV to get tags same day.

Just wanted to pass on how happy I am with how Buddys responded and handled a recent issue we had with my daughters car. Last September they replaced the starter and did a great job but couple of weeks ago it had starter issues again and left her stranded(understanding stuff happens). One call to Buddys and not only did they tow the car back to the shop they replaced the starter and had her going the next day. When she picked the car up they smiled and handed her the keys and said have a great day without asking for one penny. This is how business should be done.. Thanks

Replaced my serpentine belt yesterday . The indicator needle is still inching up close to the red zone which worries me & Ill take back to make sure its not an instrument problem. But I was happy with the overall promptness & courtesy of staff & Mike. ( I was told a year ago by another garage that I was not too trustful of, that the serpentine belt needed replacing but there were no problems & indicator lite didnt signal any problems until just last week when the needle went into red after just a short drive. So I assumed that after replacing the belt the needle would stay in the middle range again. This is my concern. I will check back with Mike next week but company seems trustworthy & as a woman, this is especially important to me.)

I needed my alternator replaced and began calling around for rates. Buddy’s was the lowest in the area and even got me in and out in one day! I brought my car in Friday morning at opening and was picking my car up by 2 o’clock that day. Mike at the front desk was wonderful and kind. He seemed to care about getting my car fixed for me. Loved this place. The tow truck driver was super nice and understanding about my lack of a key (lost it in my sisters car, she had to bring it to me). Initially I had gone to Firestone and they reported to me that my rear shocks were leaking and it would cost $745 to replace with OE shocks. Called Buddys, who was highly recommended, talked to Mike and told him what Firestone said and he quoted me at half the price for rear shocks on my 2017 Chrysler 200. He was very respectful, kind, and to the point. NO BS! and thats what I liked most. He said it would be done by 4:30 and it was. The quote he gave me was the price I paid. I will be going there for all of my mechanic needs, the work done was superb and my car rides like new. Totally recommend! Call Buddys first!

I got referred to this little shop. It’s in independence off of 23rd street not far from the Chrysler Stadium. I have been treated awesome there. I’m very mechanically inclined but I don’t have the time or sometimes not even the Motivation to do some repairs to my vehicle. I’ve been in here three or four times so far and they have solved every issue that I’ve brought them at a very fair price. I highly recommend these guys

This place deserves your business. My daughter goes to school down the street and came out of class at 6p on a Friday to find somebody had cut her tire. She showed up at Buddys at closing and the owner personally put her spare tire on for free. As a parent who is 200 miles away from their daughter and unable to help, this meant the world to me. Really recommend this place, not many like it in todays world!

They were fast friendly and efficient. During this Covid time they were extremely careful. They helped me out when I was in a very bad situation. My car was very unsafe due to a throttle situation and they were able to work me in. I feel like the pricing was fair and the service was excellent. I am new to the area but would highly recommend Buddys especially Mike. Also the lady at the desk was very helpful at working me into the schedule and very prompt at calling me back. All in all it was a pleasant experience which is usually not the case when your car is in need of repair. Highly highly recommend them.

Very nice people. Went for an inspection. I had called several people and everyone wanted me to drop my car off. Buddys Automotive got me in within 30 mins. It was fast, and painless unlike my next stop which was the DMV! They also volunteered to look uo some recall info on my other vehicle for me. Thats great customer service!
