Jeremy Bowles set us up with our homeowners policy when we bought our first house, and Houston ensured a smooth transition when we transferred all of our policies over. We bought home and auto insurance in August. We were satisfied with the price and the agent. Tyler. Was wonderful. Then within 3 weeks, the cost for the auto insurance increased. State Farm told my agent it was because my 26 yr old son had only had his license for 2 yrs! Absolutely false. He has been driving for 10 years. They refused to accept the proof that he was driving at 16. Our auto policy was canceled without notice to us or our agent, Tyler. We drove several days not knowing we did not have insurance 😡 Luckily I was able to go back to Grinnell without a problem. We currently have our home owners insurance through State Farm but we are checking with other companies. Tyler should look for a job with a reputable company. He was absolutely wonderful

Absolutely terrible service. When I was first in contact with Houston Richards for a vehicle loan it seemed to be a smooth process. I had to wait 2 days for my previous loan to fall off my credit before moving forward. Once it fell off not only was i completely unable to get ahold of Richards but he didnt give any effort to reach back to me. The people at the office would say hes busy, which is understandable, and that he would reach back. To this day; No calls, emails, voicemails, mail, nothing. This was weeks ago. Stacy Schell, the other SF agent, is nice and very prompt but even with a 700 (avg) score I was denied.No worries cause I went with Mazuma Auto who approved me for a 12k loan at 8% interest the same day I applied. Im an understanding person, a simple call back explaining things come up wouldve been fine but I guess not everyone is worth their time.
