I would first like to thank the girl that helped me with my taxes. She’s was very knowledgeable and very friendly. What I didn’t like was how much they charge. They lure you in by claiming to be cheap, but if they have to touch more than one tax document, other than a w-2, they really start to add on the fees. Not only did I get hit pretty hard on my taxes this year, I had to pay $200 on top of that for HR block to look at my taxes. They literally charge you more depending on how many pieces of paper you hand them, not how much time is spent actually imputing all the numbers into the software, which I can’t imagine takes very long. I feel they get away with this because most will get a few thousand dollars back every year so what’s another couple hundred taken out of that. For those that end up having to pay taxes, it really just seems excessive. I would love to see an itemized list of how those fees are tabulated to see the justification for the price. TurboTax is absolutely the way to go if your taxes are straight forward. Never again HR block!

Every year Ive ever gone to Block, theyve done a great job at getting me the best deal and the most deductions possible. I was expecting to have to pay in, like I do most years, and I wound up getting a refund on my federal taxes and paying a small amount on my state taxes. I was very pleased once again with this years results.

H & R Block has worked on my taxes for the last several years and I have been very satisfied with the service and the results. However, my grandson recently received his degree and has opened a business that services taxes, so I am considering giving him my support. I havent decided for sure, just mulling it over in my mind.

We bumped our appointment up and the gentleman that was supposed to help us had a difficult return before our appointment and was running late. There was another associate there that was eager and ready to help us within a few minutes and we actually ended up having one of our quickest appointments ever. It went super smooth and even with our appointment starting late we still got out of the appointment sooner than we expected.

I disagree on the 4 stars. The tax preparer was super nice and quoted me $79 to do my taxes but when all was said and done I was charged $480. She said I would get my taxes by the end of february and here it is march 26 and still nothing. They said they will keep me updated by text and email and havent heard nothing from them for 3 weeks. I think Im cancelling my appointment for next yesr.

Good data entry programs and large screen for clients to watch entries being made. . Preparer explained what she was doing on each step and readily answered our questions. Copies of all underlying schedules were provided to us.Preparer was very knowledgable and helpful and fees were very reasonable. Our return was filed immediately. We were able to receive phone messages from H&R Block when our Fed. and State returns were filed and when they were accepted which was within a few hours. We will be notified by H&R Block messenger when our refund has been deposited to our bank account. Friendly staff. We were in and out of H&R Blocks office in less than one hour.

Filed taxes a few years ago. Was charged over 150 and state taxes werent filed.

The reason is Jason Haroldsen. He is easy to work with and is so knowledgeable about the laws, rules, and regulations. My forms were filled out quickly and I finished before I could have ever expected. He is a careful listener and wants to get things right which I appreciate. He also asks helpful questions and when you talk with him, you have his undivided attention. One more thing that is amazing to me is his memory! He can remember decisions made from the previous year and that helps both of us to make sure we are on target with the calculations. He is quite an asset for your firm.

Lastly, my tax professional is the best tax professional HR Block has on their payroll. Tristin Judy is the most professional, personable, and likable master tax adviser HR Block has. I always go back to her each year. She remembers us and always makes us feel welcome, and she treats us like family.

Doing my taxes with h n r block has gotten more and more expensive. I have been doing then with them for a long time and we (my wife n I have been doing them for the past 4yrs). We dont get any discounts or benefits for being regulars. People think we are crazy for how much we pay to get them done n have suggested many other way n companies, to do n have them done cheaper.

I didnt have to worry about my tax return. The companys reputation and Roses customer service e speak for themselves.

Fees are ridiculous. Me and my girlfriend lost out on $900 just in fees for two simple e-filings that would have been far cheaper if not free elsewhere. Only reason I stayed and finished with them was because the lady who did our taxes showed genuine interest in helping us with our special tax case and on top of that the staff was very understanding and helpful with our little boy who was very impatient that night.

As I was removing my financial records from their envelops and handing them to the H&R Block representative, she was inputting my information into her computer. By the time I had removed all financial records from their envelops, my federal and state tax returns were completed. The complete process took less than 1 hour.

We always go to hr block mostly because of Teri. She is very great at her job and kind.
