I am not great with names but the gentleman that I spoke with when I first called stated that they were 2 to 3 weeks out on repairs. But they could look at my car in a couple of days to see why my check engine light came on and why my car was losing power. So, I took my car knowing that it may take a couple of weeks before they were able to repair it. They diagnosed it within 24 hours and they had it fixed within 48 hours. I am very pleased and grateful for their customer service! I have found my mechanic!

I arrived at C&S Auto Repair on a Monday afternoon at about 3:30 PM. My 3/4 tons pick-up truck had developed a sudden brake line leak due to an improperly installed exhaust line/pipe burning through the line - not supposed to happen! (That was done by some other shop.) I was pulling a semi-heavy UHaul trailer on a move from WA to CO. Clearly I did not want to drive one extra mile..In a nutshell, and given the emergency nature of the situation, Mikel went out of his way to find a technician on his team would could work extra time to get us back on the road - and we were by 6:30 PM that day! I cant say how grateful I was for the fantastic customer service Mike and his team (Jason? If I recall properly) demonstrated that day (Mike had to bring in a forklift to separate the trailer - and then re-attach it after the repair had been completed).If I were within 100 miles of Idaho Falls - I would get my truck service there!

Great Customer Service in Eastern Idaho Area. Went in originally to get my AC compresor fixed called around other mechanics but C&S Auto Repair came thru with the right pieces and price. Also had order parts ahead but not ready when taken the first time second time was the charm eventually received the parts needed to fix the AC. Works like new and blows great cold air. We had a concern with our 2009 Toyota Camry. A friend suggested a local transmission shop thinking the noise might have been caused by the transmission. The transmission shop advised us that the transmission was not the problem and suggested C & S Auto Repair.I called and they were able to schedule me for the next week. The entire staff was friendly, courteous, and considerate. We dropped the car off and they were able to diagnose the problem and repair it the same day!The speed of service, the very fair price charged for that service and parts, as well as the very friendly attitude of the entire staff made this painful process an overwhelmingly positive experience.I strongly recommend C & S Auto for any of your automotive service needs!

Amazing customer service. Took my old 1983 chevy in for a very weird request/repair, and they worked with me through the entire thing. I got frequent updates on my vehicle and nothing was replaced without asking, and they even offered alternative ideas (of which they did not benefit from). They also got everything done faster than I imagined. All-in-all they got my truck running again, at a fair price, quickly with amazing service. 10 out of 10 recommended.

My ac on my Toyota Camry would not engage I took it in for them to check it out they informed me it would be over $1000 to fix it replacing compressor and other parts . I had a feeling that was wrong and they where trying to take me for a ride. After a little research and a couple of YouTube videos I replace a $15 dollar relay and now my A/C works and blows cold and has been for a few months now . I will never take my car back to them. That are very DISHONEST !!

Absolutely fantastic. If you have any car problems at all, this is the place to get your car or truck fixed. The shop itself is very modern and is equipped with just about every tool needed to get your vehicle up and running again. The prices are very fair and the technicians are dependable and honest.

The only reason I gave them five stars is because a trillion wasnt an option. If you live in or around Idaho Falls there is simply no reason not to go to C & S Auto.I am from Salt Lake and had car troubles on the way to our friends house. It was early on Saturday morning and every shop in town was either closed or too busy to help. We emailed C & S in hopes that someone may be able to at least look at the car. About an hour later we received a call from Chris. Although he was busy at the time, he offered to come in later that evening to look at the car. Chris ended up being up until nearly midnight just to help us with the vehicle. What was even more shocking was after a simple but overlooked fix was found, he didnt charge us a dime. Further, when we found that we had locked ourselves out of the car he offered to open the vehicle (Again, for free).I am not saying you will get all of your repairs for free or that Chris will always be available to help at midnight. I AM saying that your can absolutely trust this shop and staff. Service like this is rarely found anymore. My only complaint is they dont live in Utah.Thanks again Chris for taking time away from your family to help us out! We appreciate it.

I am not sure if they remember me or my situation but, I still tear up to this day on how amazing this company is and what they did for me. They are honest, kind, and went above and beyond to help me. I back in 2007-2008 as a very, very poor single mom, bought a car that ended up being a lemon. I had to buy a new transmission. Wanting to go the cheeper route, I ordered a refurbished transmission online. Shipping was about $600+, Plus the transmission. I had the transmission delivered to C&S auto for them to install. Long story short the transmission delivered didn’t work. So we needed to send it back. It was not easy dealing with the online company I ordered the transmission from. I had to pay for another shipment to ship a new transmission again they sent us another and same thing it didn’t work. C & S auto we’re so great and through all my tears did whatever the could for me. Finally after them helping me fight this company we got another transmission sent and it worked this time. They were my angels. They allowed me to make payments and were just so kind. I will never forget what they did for me. I can now say I am in a much different financial situation and have given back to my community as much as possible. I will be forever grateful for their kindness and helping me years ago. November 2016: I recently took my 2008 Subaru Outback to C&S Auto to have the front axles replaced. Immediately after the service there was a leak where the right side axle goes into the transmission. After taking the vehicle back to C&S Auto FOUR times, the leak was still not fixed. I finally took the vehicle to a different shop who diagnosed the problem, fixed the problem, and actually drove the car to verify the problem was resolved.Update: Shortly after I posted the above review I was contacted by C&S Auto repair. To their credit they wanted to professionally discuss the review and were genuinely interested in learning what finally resolved the right axle seal issue.Fast forward six months to May 2016 when I had the Outback into the Subaru dealer for an air bag recall. When the service department lifted the vehicle onto the rack, they noticed the left side axle boot had come off, exposing the axle to the elements and destroying the axle. I contacted the shop that had resolved the right axle seal issue and they said they would be able to warranty the axle, but would not be able to cover the labor. In an effort to get the labor covered, I contacted C&S Auto as I did not feel I should pay for the same repair twice. After talking with C&S Auto, they agreed to refund the original labor on the left side axle.For their professionalism, willingness to make things right, and efforts to understand the root cause of the issues, I am changing my rating from 1 star to 3 stars.

They are refreshingly competent. They correctly diagnosed and repaired things wrong with my car that multiple other mechanics over the years did not. I have full and complete confidence in C & S. Auto Repair and recommend them to everyone.

C&S saved our bacon. Blew a spark plug while heading home from vacation. Fifty miles from home and most shops would not work on it for two to three days. Despite being obviously busy, these guys got the truck fixed and back on the road quickly and the price was very reasonable. If I lived in Idaho Falls this would definitely be my mechanic of choice!

Truly honest and professional. An excellent mechanic is worth their weight in gold. Had upper and lower plenum gaskets, valve cover gaskets, half moons, and can plugs replaced.Found about a month later during an oil change that the cam plug was leaking oil, indicative that it was improperly seated. C&S stood by ttheir worked and fixed it with no hassle. That is the type of mechanic that you want. I spoke with them and for a tour of their shop and they put their money and time into doing great service.I highly recommend them.

These guys were my go-to auto repair shop until I moved to Nampa back in August. Ryan and the owners say what they do and do what they say. Less than trustworthy auto repair shops are far too common. But with C&S I had a peace of mind knowing they were going to do the right thing and perform quality work, and I wasnt going to get worked over on the price. Ive had 3 different vehicles in their shop, on 6 or 7 different occasions, in the last couple years and I have been very satisfied with and grateful for my experiences with them. Theyre not in this business for the money, theyre in it to serve and take care of people. AND THATS WHY THEIR SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE!!! Major props to C&S!

Great customer service! Very honest, friendly, and professional!! We were having an issue with a repair they did on our timing belt, but when we took it back they misdiagnosed the problem. We then moved to a different state, but continued to have problems with it. We had to take it somewhere new to get it fixed, and they said the timing belt was off a tooth. When C&S found out about the issue, they offered to reimburse us for all their labor costs, because they werent able to fix it themselves, since we had moved. I was very grateful and impressed! Theyre a great company with a lot of integrity!

Just picked up my car from C&S Auto. Honest, reliable, skilled and reasonable. One of the best finds Ive been fortunate to make since moving to Idaho. We brought our car here to get repaired for a window and a leak in emissions. We were told it would be same day repair once the part got here so we made an appointment based on that. I got a call asking if they could keep it overnight then on Friday evening I was told it was the wrong part... so my car wasnt worked on until Friday evening rather than Thursday morning as I was told. They ended up keeping my car until Tuesday evening. And after we still had to go back because my door was hanging and would not close right... after we got it back it still does the same thing and they said it was as good as it was going to get. Kind of frustrating for paying $800. In conclusion another shop is fixing the door as well as a leak.

A few weeks back my girlfriend and I were traveling across country for the purpose of moving her from Oregon to Indiana.. with all of her belongings in her car. We stopped off in Idaho Falls for a pit stop. Once we got back on the ramp and spent 2 seconds on the highway the car started over heating with coolant spewing everywhere and we pulled over. We had it towed to the nearest and apparently the best auto shop. Immediately they were very helpful, it happened to be Friday and they looked at the car quickly and had an idea what the problem was. The owner stayed late working and the next day he came in on Sat just for our car and figured out the root cause of overheating was internal.. boiling the coolant over. Turns out it was obviously not worth fixing but it took all his effort to figure that out, on top of him showing us other issues that would have saved us as well. He let us leave our car there in Idaho to have a scrapper pick it up. He did so much for us and ended up charging us nothing at all! Our situation was wonderful solely because Chris went above and beyond. Thanks for allowing us to hang in your lobby and bring you all our car trouble.. no other auto shop can even compare.

I came in back in August while on a solo road trip with some bad rotors. The team here understood the pickle I was in and squeezed me in first thing in the morning. I had figured Id have to spend the day Lyfting around Idaho Falls but they had me in and out in no time so I could continue my journey. I couldnt believe how quickly they got me back on the road and how friendly and professional the staff here was. I hope to never have car issues in Idaho again, but if I do I can guarantee you that I will be going to C&S. Thank you guys again and Im sorry it took me so long to get this review in. My family has gone to CNS for years. They are honest and fair. Even though Ive moved out of state, I try and wait to get my car repaired tell I come down to Idaho Falls to visit so I can have CNS fit it. I am down visiting now, and before I left I was told by a tire place that I needed new breaks and tires. They wanted a fortune to do it so I waited until I came to Idaho Falls to have my breaks replaced and, once again, CNS did not fail to impress me with their honesty and awesomely fair prices. Next time you have car problems go to CNS and see for yourself how amazing they are, you wont regret it and youll never go any where else once you try them. Thanks CNS for being so great!

We bought a newer vehicle that only came with one fob. I got a new fob for Christmas but couldnt find a locksmith that could program it. I was referred to C & S by an audio shop. I called C & S and they said bring it over, we can program it. I brought them the vehicle and it went in immediately. Within 15 minutes, I was on my way. How much do I owe you? I asked. Nothing. Nothing. Are you kidding me? Who does that? Id have had to take it to the dealer and pay a hundred bucks! THAT is customer service. Will I go there again? Are you kidding me? Who wouldnt? You have to try them!

I started going to C&S as a single mother hoping to find a repair shop/mechanic that would be honest and forthcoming with diagnostic and repair needs. I have had horrible experiences with Auto Shops where the Tech speaks down to you as if you are too dumb to understand anything about auto systems. This has NEVER happened at C&S. They speak to me as an equal, they are upfront and honest and have saved me $100s of dollars in repairs and services. They have diagnosed and repaired my 2009 GMC Acadia several times. most recently, they replaced the ignition coil and then DIDNT EVEN CHARGE ME A PENNY. If you are a single woman and dont want to be taken advantage of or charged for things you arent sure about or even just need your routine maintenance done, GO TO C&S!

Talk with Chris or Shana, They are genuanly concerned and want to get you the best deal. The quoted my $1,000 less than Wallys who both quoted the exact same service and parts. I gave both of them a list and C&S was WAY cheaper. Great people great deal.

After speaking to the manager/owner I would like to reconsider and recant a portion of my review. I stated that each time we visited the Office we only noticed one guy in the shop. However I need to take into consideration that some mechanics may be out test driving vehicles or out to lunch. I was told they have 4 mechanics. I was also told that there was no way to tell that the high pressure oil pump was to go out. After our discussion and their explanationI therefore rate it 3.5 stars.Previous review -Used to take my cars to C&S when I first moved here. Had to get air conditioner fixed and it was determined i had to get a part replaced. When I picked up my car the air still didnt come on. I called them and they made me feel like I was lying. Said that it was working when it left the shop. I took it to another shop and they told me that it was the wrong part that was put in and ordered the right part. I contacted C&S and they offered to put in $75 as for my trouble and because I had to pay again for someone else to put it in which actually worked afterwards.So I thought it was an honorable thing for C&S to do so I decided to come back and bring back a truck that I had just purchased and was taking on a camping trip as a short vacation I told them what needed to be done and some of the issues we were having I asked that everything would be checked the oil and the water was to be topped off and I even saw the front desk I write it down on the paperwork. After paying a little over $1,200 we picked up our vehicle and went on our way to find that our oil and water were not checked. We had to put it in ourselves and when we were driving home the truck stopped running at the top of a hill on the freeway pulling our 36 ft fifth wheel. We backed up traffic and had to find someone to tow 14,000 lbs of truck and fifth wheel off the freeway. It was our oil pressure pump that went out. The tow truck driver said that the auto shop should have caught that when they did the vacation pre-check. Each time it seems they only have 1 guy working on cars there which makes me think they dont have the time to do what you ask them to do. They also over charged us when my husband specifically talked to the front desk guy and told him not to worry about checking out our radio not shutting off. He still charged us $45.00 as if they checked it regardless.

They took 3 1/2 days to fix my car. They promised it to be done three different times and each time it was delayed to the next day. They ordered the wrong part first, then had to order the right part, then they put it in and had to find another part to finish the job. They also didnt call and inform me that it wouldnt be done when they said, I had to call asking about the progress. I wouldnt recommend. And for three days I couldnt go to work so I was loosing a lot of money in the process.

Had a headlight go out while passing through town. C&S replaced the bulb and got me back on the road in minutes. Excellent service, excellent people.
