For those working in Downtown Huntsville this is exactly the gym you need. Convenient, equipped, clean, and friendly. Had a great sign up experience with Raye. High marks overall.

Been going 3x a week for 8 years. Absolutely love it. The people who work there are knowledgeable and helpful, the equipment is new - if you pick your hours theres not a crowd. Im in my early 70s and this is what I do for myself. Love the small size and ease of parking. Highly recommended.

This is gym is the best Ive been to. There are sweet-spots of time where there are very few people. This gym is very intimate with a great aesthetic and a view out into Big Spring Park. The locker rooms and showers are almost always clean. There is quite a bit packed into this somewhat small gym. You can find most machines you want to use and there are plenty of treadmills and ellipticals.I would recommend this gym. Great setting, great staff, great location.

I come in the morning around 6:30, there is always an elliptical open for me to use. It seems like the perfect time to come. The front desk guy is always very cheerful and the building is clean. I have no complaints.

I love going to this YMCA. Not a lot of space but they make it work. It’s never really packed during peak hours. After your workout is very convenient to take a walk or run around the park.

I love coming here! The staff always greets my one year old and I with such kindness. The people in the childcare center are sweet to my little one and myself. He always leaves happy. Oh and the place is so clean! From childcare room to equipment to the locker rooms and the water fountain. I love a clean gym! The weights and equipment are well organized, up to speed with today’s technology and fun to use. There are umbrella and coat racks right up front. I can take my gym bag with me to machines. People are friendly, no judgey feeling. The reasons I’m giving 4 stars is because of the hours and parking. It closes at 9 and I typically come in the morning but I get off of work at 9 so it would be nice to go later in the evening when I want to. I have to park up the hill or across the street so it’s just a bit of a walk but it feels like a mile away when I’m lugging my gym bag, my baby’s bag and also the 20+ pound baby! Besides that, everything is just what I need.

I dont like this place. gave me trauma when i was 6.

We love being members here, great place to workout, good environment. Very clean and professional, love it. Especially since we live downtown it’s a very convenient location. I wish they opened earlier on Saturdays but it’s no big deal. I highly recommend it.

Such wonderful staff. The facility is top notch - all new equipment. For the Express YMCA in town, they still offer quite a few classes throughout the day. If you have a suggestion, write on a comment card, theyll listen :) many unique, fun challenges throughout the year to keep you excited about coming to the gym. Great environment!

Overall a nice YMCA, but as an out-of-town guest that is used to having towels available, it was a bit of a surprise to be charged to use one here. My only suggestion would be to make exceptions for first-time or out-of-town visitors so that they arent put off by this policy.

If the sauna is a novelty for you, read up on it. People coming in the sauna fully dressed in workout clothes, shoes, socks, shirts. Whats next, showering in your bathing suit and an umbrella?

Very nice YMCA This is an express location, so its not as complex as the ordinary YMCA but still has a lot of equipment and is very clean. Comfortable and modern.
