I replaced a 7 sections of my wooded privacy fence on the second week in may. My fence sections were neatly stack for expected pick up on Tuesday May 11, the truck came trough and skipped my home. I called 3 times that week for pick up because I was having a pool party and expected the waste to be gone. They did not pick It up nor did I receive a phone. call. The next Tuesday I was hoping it would be picked up because I I was have having card my card come for my Childs birthday and hoped they waste would be gone to not obstruct my decoration. it was not picked up. I then received a note on my mail that they only pickup 5 yards per week. In only selecting a few pieces, they have scattered the fence out in the street. Unacceptable.
I signed a contract with Republic Services for a dumpster. The salesperson agreed to the spot where it would sit. I then paid $4000 to have a concrete pad poured for the dumpster. The day it was supposed to be delivered I received a call. They now tell me they cannot put the dumpster on the area that I had agreed upon. I am now out $4000 and no dumpster. Please do not use their services.
One star is the minimum option, would pick zero if that were an option. Abysmal service for residential with poor reliability and answers to any questions and when called to report issues, they take forever to resolve. Sadly, the ONLY option available in Madison, AL. Must be nice to have a monopoly....
I had a large pile of crepe myrtle limbs at the curb. The Republic team clean it up very neatly without scraping the street or my yard. Well done.
Im not sure how Republic Services got 1.8 stars?! I have residential service and the price was just increased. I have had yard waste sitting on my curb for four weeks. The truck never came down my street. Ive sent two emails and made 12 phone calls, leaving 3 voice mails. No response from either inquiries. Terrible service, horrible communication and Im paying more to be ignored. Great business model...

Probably the most crooked company we have ever worked with. Be very careful. They lock you into 3 year contracts at a specific rate. But, the rate is often 2-3 times the quoted price with gas surcharges and overage fees. When you cancel after fulfilling the 3 year contract, they charge another $300 just to pick up their own dumpster. And forget about calling and complaining about anything. You will have more luck dealing with the Mafia who are also nicer people!
I have been consistently disappointed with Republic Services. I do not recommend the company. I utilize Republic Services for twice weekly dumpster pick-up services for a commercial business. Pick-ups are rescheduled or missed altogether at least twice per month. When rescheduled pick-ups turn into missed pick-ups, calls to customer service result in wait times of over 15 minutes and finally customer service representatives that promise a pick-up will be done that day or the next. This does not happen and the credit for the missed pick-up never gets applied to the bill. Bottom Line: inconsistent pick-ups, poor customer service.
Highly suspicious billing practices (full story below).I used their services one time in April of 2018. They delivered a 20-foot dumpster, which I paid for in advance, to the tune of $514. It was delivered and time and picked up on time, with no problems.Or so I thought...In November, I get a phone call from Republic, asking when Id like to pay my $300 bill. Naturally I was pretty confused, since I only used their services once, and everything went as expected. The rep stated that the fees must have been a computer error (their words), but they were listed as a MINIMUM LIFT FEE (again their words). The guy rushed me off the phone, saying it would be resolved, and dont worry about it.A month later the same thing happens again. I receive a phone call, I state that I dont intend to pay these fees, the rep agrees its a computer error, rushing me off the phone, assuring me itll be resolved.Then in January I receive a bill, indicating that Ive been referred to their in-house collections. Ive been calling every day for two weeks now trying to resolve this, and they state my account has been escalated, and that its been forwarded to the local division to issue the $300 credit, since the amount is over the authority of the call center (again, their words).Ill give an update on how this gets resolved, once it does. At this point, Im going to continue to call every day, and I have reported my case to the Better Business Bureau.
Absolutely the worst company Ive ever had to work with. Sent them a cancellation letter via certified mail in September is 2018 and here we are on January 17, 2019 and their equipment is still on my property even after having met with my account rep, speaking with customer service countless times, and putting in work orders .Dont waste your money or your time on them. Terrible customer service.
Worst company ever. They charge overage fees if the container has any garbage over the top of the container. Rip off!

We have been using this company for many years for our business. Didnt have any issues until they started charging a fuel charge. And our bill keeps increasing. They have it in small print on your contract that they can add a fuel charge on your bill. Well the fuel charge ranges anywhere from $30 to $60 dollars additional per month on your bill. Then on top of that they charge you $2 per month because they have to invoice you!!! Yep! they invoice me and charge me to send me my bill!!! Once you are in a contract you cant get out until the end! So new customers beware that this company does this.
Very questionable billing practices. So called contracts “automatically” renew & require a 60 day notice. These unethical & monopoly practices are used to block local companies. Very frustrating.
Ever since Huntsville, AL switched to Republic Sevices,half the time our garbage doesnt get picked up. Several of my neighbors have had the same problem. One day a couple of months ago my husband and I were outside when they came through to pick up trash,and our can was full and on the designated slab but he didnt get mine. So my husband flagged him down and told him he forgot ours,he said we didnt have it out there so he didnt pick it up. Our trash can stays on the designated slab always. Tried calling the company and she kept saying she couldnt find my address. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone!!
