I was selling a car to an out of state buyer and the buyer set up an inspection with Kevins. They were very thorough and provided me and the buyer with their report. I dont remember the cost as the buyer paid for it but do remember it was very reasonable. Well worth it for peace of mind for the buyer as well as myself. Thanks for making the sale an easy transaction. I got what I was asking and the buyer got what he was promised.

Over the past 18 months, for our Lexus RX and Prius hybrid, they did complicated repairs. I used the dealers before, but now out of warranty I use them, and they are just as knowledgeable as the dealer for all of the listed services I had done. With them it is possible to keep the car into higher mileages before trading in for new car.

I called to try to get an estimate on having my water pump replaced on my highlander. The lady that answered the phone was very rude and told me he isnt giving estimates over the phone that I would have to bring it in and drop it off and pay for a diagnosis. Sorry but that is NOT how that works, I have a diagnosis and just need a simple repair cost. I know how much the part is, I need to know how much labor would be. This place is a joke, I guess I should have read his reviews before even calling. Took it toyota and they had it fixed overnight and gave me a rental car.

Great service! I have had Kevins team work on my truck a few times and on each occasion the assessment was accurate and the repairs fixed the problem. They keep you well informed of the work and let you know upfront what it will cost. I highly recommend them.

Purchased a battery from another shop 6 months earlier because the Jeep would barely start. Wasn’t driving much during the Corona and had to jump the Jeep to get started many times. Took it back to the original shop. They said they checked out the alternator, recharged the battery and sent me on my way. Still very sluggish starts then nothing. Went to Reddit for local recommendations. Kevin’s was recommended. Made an appointment, had it towed in and BAM! It’s like a new Jeep. Replaced the starter. Reasonable prices, great service. I’m only going there in the future.

Took my Jeep in to get some front end work done. After the repair I complained that the steering didnt quite feel right. I returned, the technician drove it with me, and I said Id drive it over the weekend to see if I thought any differently. The owner called me Monday and requested that I bring it in for him to drive. He knew exactly what was wrong and fixed it the next day for free and threw in some brakes for my trouble. It was an inconvenience to return but glad they cared enough to follow up and made it right. Impressed with the time they took to listen to my problem. Will definitely be going back.

Been here twice so far, once for an oil leak diagnostic and again for noise coming from the wheel well. Both times they fixed the problem and had the car ready for pick-up way earlier than estimated. They were very easy to communicate with--even having an online form and email communication, letting me know what they diagnosed and how much it would cost to fix, and even letting me know when their shop hours changed when it might affect me being able to pick up the car. Will definitely be back when my car decides to act up again.

Bought an Altima and the check engine light came on less than 24 hours after driving it off the lot. I was devastated, my magic magnifying mind went to the worse case scenario. I have mistrust for mechanics. The gentleman I bought the car from suggested I not go to the Nissan dealer, but take it to Kevin’s Garage. I’m new to HSV and just took a leap of faith and my experience has been fantastic. The receptionists Sally and Regena are so kind and helped calm my spun up nerves and Kevin personally called me to let me know what was going on with my car before going forward with the repair. I had to have the front and rear sensors replaced and the price was reasonable. I think I have found my go to place for my car repairs in Huntsville. Very satisfied

I thought I would never find another great mechanic after my last one in Tampa, but Kevin and his crew did a fantastic job. The service was thorough and at a fair price. I was kept informed through the process. I had a problem with a rear bearing and thought I had brake issues. I was told there was no problem with the brakes and the bearing was fixed by the next day even though the part was ordered out of state. I appreciate the honesty about the brakes and love that my truck is running better than it ever has. I highly recommend their services.

These folks are great! My granddaughter had a “money light” after I had changed her oil and engine air filter. Turns out that I had left a paper towel in the inlet. I came to Huntsville to caretake for a brother that has cancer. Two days after arriving in town my cars brakes began to grind. It was a Saturday. I emailed Kevins business email and received a response soon after even though they are closed for the weekend. Because my car was dangerous to drive with its brakes on the verge of going out, he worked me in first thing Monday morning even though obviously busy. I dropped the car off at 7 AM, had estimate by 9 AM and picked it up with the brake job finished at 11 AM. I was very grateful and appreciative of the whole experience especially being from out of town and in need of my car. I appreciated his straightforward, to the point, business professionalism. To me it conveyed the sense of integrity of an honest man making an honest living and being honest with the customer, and it turned out to be that way. I personally had nothing short of a 5 star experience with Kevins Auto Shop and highly recommend him. If I lived here that is where I would go for my mechanic work.

Took my car here for a coolant leak. Ended up needing a radiator 🤦🏾‍♂️ cost was $461. The price is on the HIGH end, but comes with a 24,000mile warranty anywhere in the U.S. I normally go to the place next door that opens later, but Kevins open at 7am which was good since I had to be in class early. My car was ready the same day.

Kevin has helped us out 3 times in the last few months. The service is fantastic, everyone is very friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. He saved us many hundreds of dollars (and probably a couple days time) on our van by being able to do work without removing the cylinder cover even though Honda insisted it had to be done that way. So nice to find a mechanic I feel I can trust!

I have used Kevin and Reginas shop for years. Both Kevin and Regina have always pleasant, kind and considerate. The service they provided me and work they preformed have always been excellent. I use the shop to check out vehicles that I am considering purchasing and use them for repairs on my families existing vehicles as well. My only complaint is that they are not open on Saturdays. He informed of what he thought it was and that he had to inspect the area to verify (wheel well). I own a F250 Powerstroke. Yes, Im aware that is 90% of my problem. I had just paid to have about $6,000 of bulletproof parts installed. (I had this done at another shop. Im not from the area and am just learning where to find the good diesel techs in Huntsville.) I did not get my fuel system fixed though. Common issue with fuel tanks on those. If you have a 6.0 powerstroke youre familiar with the tank issues. So, long story short I ran it out of fuel. It ran like garbage for two weeks after that. I figured I had just destroyed the new injectors. By the time I brought it in to Kevins it was running better but, I was still worried. I was fully prepared to get a a call telling me that I had 2 grand in injector work coming to me. They checked it all out and really did no actual maintenance. That is not an insult. It speaks to their honesty and integrity as nothing was wrong with the truck. I was just being overly worried after seeing horror stories of injector damage from lack of fuel. They could have completely had me pay for work that was not needed. Instead they gave me piece of mind and confidence in my truck. I will be using Kevins from here on out. I appreciate their honesty and I have total faith that if they ever did make a mistake or a bad repair that these people would make it right. Thanks again. You have a new lifetime customer.

As a Rural Postal Worker I depend on my car to deliver mail. Kevin and his team certainly have their act together. They were able to provide a detailed analysis of repairs needed without overselling me on unnecessary repairs. They were considerate to the speed in which I needed the repairs completed and they did so with reasonable prices. The repairs were exactly what was needed and the car is running great. Horrible communication and to long to repair. My daughter was without her car for 2 days and the proper repair was not done. My daughter is a college student 600 miles from home. Parts are priced over list price. I have my own Automotive repair business for 15 years, but im 600 miles away. When asked for help with the miss diagnosis i was told to due what I have to do. So I am fixing it my self after my daughter already paid this business $499 to repair it.Please go somewhere else.I find it funny that you guys have a excuse every time someone has a negative review. I also find it funny that you deleted my review on your website. I should be upset that the improper repair was done. I was not disrespectful, all i said to you was to let me finish talking before you rudely interrupted me. Her appointment was for the 27th and was not finished till the 29th. The truck sat at her dorm for most of the time after the repair, till she came home and that is when she had the problem. The proper repair was to repair the coil that was going bad. Retail on the factory plugs is $10.72 each and shop cost is $6.67 each, and you charged $14.32 each. Yes i consider that a rip off. I never questioned Kevins faith, that is between him and God. I also never asked him to act godly, that is impossible for a human. Warranty company will not pay for a misdiagnosis.

You are in the right hands at Kevins Auto Repair. I wont be the first, or the last to say that he is the most honest mechanic in town. I was told by Lexus in Huntsville that my 2007 Lexus is250 had a bad catalytic converter and that it would cost me $2,000 to fix and replace it. So I went down the road to Kevins auto repair for a second opinion, and low and behold...it turns out I didnt even need a new catalytic converter! He explained to me, that since the converter was from California, the ECU detected it was somehow not meeting California emissions (Im guessing because we have 93 grade here while they only use up to 91 grade gas there) so it threw the code. Thus the diagnosis of the bad catalytic converter. However, this will never have any impact on the other components in the car, and I can drive the car forever even if the warning lights are triggered due to the converter issue. This kind of professionalism, and experience is something I have never seen before, and I will always bring my vehicles to Kevins Auto for Servicing. - Proud to be a 4 year Customer!

This is basically regarding a quote I had requested for my Car Wheel Bearing Replacement. I called 4 days back in the morning and the lady picked up the call and told me Someone of their staff member would call me back in 10 mins. I didnt receive any call until evening and then I called them one more time (I understand sometimes people get really busy) to find out the quote and again the same lady picked up the call and I asked her what would be the price of my quote? And She was like I dont know and I asked her when would I be able to know? And her reply was probably by the end of the day before they close the store or before Tomorrow Evening. Till date, I have not yet received their call.FYI : I have already repaired my car some where else on the same day as soon I went to their Auto Repair Shop!

It took about three hours for my car to be diagnosed and then another three hours for it to be fixed but everyone there was so nice and they did a great job on my car. Completely unprofessional and rude. Instead of telling me an easy fix for my car that I could do in about 10 minutes by myself with just my key, they kept having me tower to their shop and charging $100 each time it happened, then they tried to get me to buy some $500 permanant fix, which if you read reviews on or research at all, doesnt fix 75% of the cars its used for. Everyone at this business is a crook and please do not come here, I guarantee you will be ripped off. They put christian messages on their business cards to overcompensate for being a horrible business as well. They still refuse to tell me the easy fix for the car

Well, this place may use Christ as a marketing tool but this place never even returned my call when I asked for a quote. Extremely horrible customer service. I had to call them back and when I did they gave me a quote but were in a big hurry to get me off the phone. If I were to have service done here, I might give it a different rating but for now they get 0 stars for customer service. Professional, quick and couteous! Brought my Honda in for rotor replacement and was quoted before the service. Upon return the charges were below the quoted price due to Kevins Auto honoring a lower part price instead of charging the full quote.

I took my car in for service on the clutch. I have no issues with the work done to my car however I am concerned because everything in my center console was thrown all over my backseat. When I called to check on this they looked through the cameras and told me no one had been in my car, yet everything was still all over my backseat. Luckily I dont keep anything valuable in my car, but it is still concerning that my car was rifled through while in their care.

Wow rudest 30 second conversation I have ever had. I called stating I was wanting get to get a quote on repairs because Im comparing prices to see who would be the cheapest. The guy who answered stated not us. I was in shock for a split second before saying ok well thank you then the guy hangs up. I am still sitting in my car in shock surely that toilet water attitude was a joke, right?

I was in Huntsville for a business meeting today and my alternator went out. I was recommended to Kevins by the nice folks at OReillys Auto Parts. I am very thankful for this. Their service was outstanding. Kevin dropped what he was working on, Regena gave me a ride to the mall where I had lunch while Kevin completed the repairs. In about an hour, just as I finished lunch Regena called me to let me know the repairs were completed, picked me up from the mall, and had me back on the road. They were honest, thorough, and genuinely cared about taking care of their customer. I would highly recommend this business.

They did everything right. Evaluated the car give me the initial estimate, then notified me later of an additional part they recommended replacing.They dont have a shuttle service which would be nice but at least they have free wifi while you wait.I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Honest diagnosis and service!

Employees were all very kind and professional. I own a VW and I am not so sure if it is the place to take that type of vehicle. A couple of years ago I bought this car and the brakes were of course the first thing to go. I got my brakes fixed here. Later that night the calipers went bad suddenly, causing my brakes to lock. Overall I had to spend $700 on brakes. A few months later my brake fluid was completely tapped and I was having trouble braking. I called here telling the mechanics what was going on. I brought the car in and the mechanic admitted he didnt align the brake lines or something. He was kind and fixed that for free. Overall a good shop, I would just look elsewhere if you have a german car.
