Dropped my car off after calling and asking about the wait time. I heard either today or tomorrow he should take a look at it to explain the issue which was ok. So a week and a half goes by with no call back. I call and then I hear what the problem is. I had to call on my own even though I was trying to be patient. I gave him the benefit of the doubt so once it hit 2 weeks I just went back and got my car. Waste of time. I dont know how people I knew personally referred him.

Chad was extremely kind and helpful in my interaction with him. Will be recommending him to my friends/family.

I bought a Lincoln Town Car last week which had some AC issues. nearly perfect in every way, aside from the AC not blowing cold. I looked up some information about diagnostics in case it was something ridiculously simple, did a couple of suggested tests and quickly established this was far beyond my ability to handle. So I checked Yelp & Google Reviews for an honest mechanic in Huntsville.Which lead me to Chads Automotive. I called, asked when he could look at it, established an appointment and dropped it off this morning @ 8. By 11 he called me back with an honest appraisal of what was wrong. He could have hit me with bad compressor, orifice/evaporator.....and I would have cried and paid the bill.But he was an honest man who said, leaky hose, itll be this much - and it was.Chad is a good, honest, quality mechanic and a man that I am looking forward to doing business with for years to come.

Chad has worked on our cars for years. He is kind, knowledgeable, and professional. He does amazing work at fair prices. I wish I could give him more than 5 stars!!

Chads is great. They’re trustworthy, they do good work at an affordable price, and they’re quick about it. I’m a college student so I don’t have a lot of extra money laying around and everyone I called in Huntsville was going to charge me $600 for a starter so I took my car to chads and it was half that price.

I read about this shop. So I decided to try it out. Call talked to Chad explained my problem with my A/C on my vehicle. He was very sure he knew what my problem was. I took it in and the repair was done it’s not even been a year and now my A/C is out again. Money down the drain. The second time I used him I explained what my vehicle was doing. He asked me to bring it in. He told me I needed new control arms. He charged me 1200.00 dollars. We went on a trip just after that only to have our new front tires ruined. I was told by another mechanic that I should have had an alignment after that work. Chad never informed us about that. I called on my third time because my vehicle was hitting hard on our trip. He said I needed struts and shocks I got the same estimate over the phone without him even looking at it 1200.00 once again. I decided to go somewhere else. They looked at my vehicle and quoted me 600.00 half of what Chad wanted. bottom line I think it’s more about money then being an honest mechanic. He would never let me complete a sentence without interrupting me. He’s arrogant and has a rude personality. He has no parking as well. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Who knows if this place is any good. I wasted 5 days waiting to give them my business. Took my truck in on Friday, they said they couldnt get to it that day but bring it back on Saturday and they could get it in. Took it in on Saturday and they said they were booked up and to bring it Monday first thing. Brought it back on Monday and they said the garage door wasnt working and they physically couldnt get it in. Again, they said bring it in on Tuesday first thing. I brought it in on Tuesday morning first thing and they said again, cant get it in today but bring it in tomorrow morning first thing and they for sure could work on it. So this Wednesday morning, I bring it in and guess what? Booked and couldnt get it in. They said to bring it back tomorrow but Ive learned my lesson. Dont tell me to keep bringing it back and promising to work on it if you cant. Extremely ticked off that I wasted so much time trying to give them some business.

This shop is the best. Men you can send your mothers, daughters, and wife to this repair shop. They are trust worthy. They wont lie or try to cheat you like other repair shops. I am 52 and my husband passed away a few years ago. I have found since the repair shop really try to take advantage of older women, women in general. You dont have to worry about that at chads. Parents same with college students. They are very reasonable on their prices. The only bad part is because he is so trusted he is also very busy. It may take a little longer to get in if it is a busy week. Oh no worries also that within a week or two something else will break down because they messed with it to get you in again. This shop is one with integrity

I live in Fort Worth and my daughter is going to college at Sam Houston and I had no way of getting to her and getting her car fixed. I saw Chads on Google and gave him a try. He was superb! They fixed my daughters car in a timely manner considering they had snow the week before and closed the shop. It was very reasonable and I am thankful since I am a single mom on a budget. Thank you thank you Chad! I will definitely use you in the future.

Each time Ive taken it to him he finds the problem quickly, and gets it taken care of. Havent had to take it back to him for the same problem twice. Fair honest pricing, good guy too.

Chad really helped me out today. My car wouldnt start, and since Im relatively new to town, didnt know where to find a reliable mechanic nearby. Chad took my car in, quickly identified the problem, and fixed it THE SAME DAY! Chad is a lifesaver! And yes, his rates were reasonable. :-) Super nice guy!

*Update* A week after this review, I ended up having my car towed to Firestone and it was fixed, drove it home the same day. Great service, and the mechanic found the issue after some tests. Just needed a starter replaced. I dont get why I was turned down from Chads!---------Review:Ok so Im confused. This is a shop that works on vehicles. I call Chads, explain the issue I am having starting my vehicle, and explained that I would have to tow my vehicle to have it serviced. During the phone call he spoke over me mid-sentence and said Yeah Im not interested in working on your car.. Confused I say Really? He says he wont work on it. I then ask wow us it that big of an issue? He just says I dont know, could be that was the end of that conversation.This was my issue, I installed the alternator on my 2010 Charger, during the installation I had to replace the black bracket that braces the alternator to the engine, bought a new belt due to hearing squeaks. New belt also squeaks.Emergency brake light stays on when trying to start vehicle.Vehicle now does not crank but shows lights on dash, and battery is in great conditionI reached out for assistance due to the great reviews. He didnt even attempt to help me out.

They are extremely nice here! They replaced a broken idle switch the same day I brought it in and replaced an ignition coil for me. The prices were fair too. If you are looking for a good and honest mechanic in Huntsville, this is the place to go.

Horrible experience. When I called they said bring car in 4 days they would work on it that day. When I brought car they were rude and dismissive. The first day I heard nothing. So around noon the second day I called to check on car. I was told he might not even get to look at the car until next week sometime. I reminded him what I was told when he originally called. He told me I should just come get my car if thats to much for me. All in all just a waste of time.

Chad is amazing! I took my car and he updated me on everything going on with my car. He had it fixed in a day! I definitely recommend him to work on your car.

My son is at student @ Sam Houston State University. His car broke down, and I did a Google and Yelp search to find a mechanic in Huntsville, because I live in Dallas, and had no idea who or where to get his car repaired. I had his car towed to Chads and drove down to Huntsville praying I hadnt made a mistake by trusting online reviews. Chad was pleasant, thorough and understanding. He reassured me by phone while I was en route to Huntsville that hed get take care of my son. His work was done timely, and Chad even told my son to call him before he gets on the road to come home for Christmas break so he could do a once-over to make sure the fluid levels and everything looks good for the drive home. Chad will be my sons mechanic for as long as hes at SHSU. Im a happy customer and a happy parent!!
