I just got my D4 S8 APR stage 1 tune. Im so happy with the results and the professionalism of this shop. Id like to take this time to give this place an excellent review. This is actually my second visit to AUT, both times for a pre-purchase inspection of two different vehicles, 2011 GTi 6-Speed and 2018 Golf R DSG. Both times my inspection was done in a timely manner and right on time with my set appointment. Both times given information about the vehicles were very thorough and all my questions were answered. I heard great things about Auto Union Tuning before my visit. I originally was scheduled to check which software my ECU had (previous owner could not remember what it had). Upon my visit, Chris verified there was a tune on my ECU and it was from Auto Union Tuning. I had a boost leak as well after a diagnostic run, which they repaired on the spot. Im really glad I found this shop to perform the 55,000 mile maintenance service on my A8L after years of overpaying at the dealership. Although I was initially hesitant to go outside the dealership, most of my worries vanished when I contacted AU Tuning for a quote over email and received fast, professional replies to my questions from Chris and Jimmy. I stopped by for an oil change and tire rotation on my Audi TTS. I dropped my car off and came back a few hours later. The process was quick and easy with no fuss and they gave me realistic evaluations of wear and tear items for when I should consider replacing vs saying that it needed to be done right away. The only item I ding them on is when I paid for the service my keys were in my car with the window down in an unsecured lot. The technicians are looking out into the lot, but there isnt anything stopping someone from jumping into my car and driving off with it. Ill go back to them, but ask them to keep the keys in the office and not the car.

I thought my car wasnt running qute right so I took it in to get checked. AU Tuning found a vacuum leak, replaced the vacuum pump, and now my B7 runs great again. Excellent work as usual.

AUTuning is great! I trust them with all repairs on my VW, Porsche and now Audi. They are knowledgeable beyond a regular repair shop because they are enthusiast owned. They are always fair in their repair estimates and that goes a long way. I know enough to be dangerous and cant stand when a shop charges outrageous prices because its a luxury car. This shop is pretty awesome! The prices are low relative to others in the area, very knowledgeable mechanics & they generally have Top Gear on loop in the lounge! These guys are the business! I have taken my 2 GTIs here for tunes and left with some serious ponies under the hood. When I got a Passat GT they did not discriminate the less sporty nature of the care and ordered me some lowering springs. The work they do is precision. I have no doubt this team could build a whole car if you gave them all the pieces in a box.

Interesting how I found this guys online due to there reviews took my audi s4 60k full service and according to the report car was in great shape all boxes checked off and well 2 weeks later car starts asking for oil driving from work engine shuts off at red light and well long story short turns out the car ran out of oil due to oil leak and yes engine dead now of course au told me get it towed here and we will double check free of charge anyway total cost exceeded 15k mostly due to engine replacement. I went out of my way to take my car to au and turned out to be the worst car experience ever don’t want to blame audi but if the car is getting serviced and supposedly all the boxes get checked off by one of the best shops in southern california according to reviews idk what to say.

AU Tuning is a great independent repair facility that specializes in VW, Audi, Porsche, Lambos, and Bentley’s. I come from working at a Japanese Automobile Manufacture for 15 years that starts with a “H” and use AU Tuning.Auto Union Tuning does the exact same services as the dealers except without the DEALERSHIP prices. I’ve had my VW CC tuned and chipped here with APR stage 1 and can’t be more happy with them. They treat you with respect and integrity without the high pressure up-selling of a dealership.

Top rate shop, excellent service and workmanship with great prices. I have been coming here for a very long time (100 miles round trip) and the quality of work and customer service is still among the very best Southern California has to offer.

DO NOT GO HERE. They told me my car needed a diagnosis to see what the issue was and that it cost $120 bucks, but that the fee would be applied toward any service performed upon the diagnosis. They called me with a huge list of repairs that needed to be done totaling about $4,000 and I agreed to do 2 of them. They then turned around and said thhat those 2 repairs couldn’t be applied toward the diagnostic fee because they were “regular maintence”. Felt like a scam. THEN after expressing my frustration about the miscommunication, they proceeded to insult me saying “I don’t make any sense” and that “it’s not their fault I neglect my car” (when I’m actually very meticulous about my car). Maybe I got them on a bad day, but just beware

My car is still under warranty, but I take it here for maintenance service. I feel their mechanics are much more thorough than the dealer, they use better products, and they are extremely careful with your car.They explained everything they did to me and keep a detailed record of your car. Raz and Dave are a pleasure to interface with.

I had a timing issue with my VW Cc and these guys managed to get back on the road in two days. Excellent shop, Ill be sure to bring my vw and mini cooper anytime I need work done.

Before my current car Ive always done my own service work, so its been quite a change living in the city with no garage, tools, etc. Additionally, so much of servicing a newer car requires special tools or software. Ive been going to AUTuning for about 3 years now, I originally got a transmission tune done at their old location. I was incredibly pleased with the time taken to go over things with me and the honest way the business is run. In the times Ive been since, Ive had various service or mods done and I always leave satisfied. AU comes highly recommended from me for any VW/Audi owners, stock or modified!

Keep up the good works!My daughter purchased a 2010 Audi A5 that had a check Engene light on, I am retired mechanic with over 30 years of experience in auto electric and trouble shooting, I found the ecm being the problem, had it repaired and reinstalled it problem was gone for about 2 weeks, I reopened the ecm to find it had a burned ceramic transistor, I ordered a used ecm and had to have it reprogrammed, I called at least a dozen of places trying to get an estimate to reprogram the ecm, I’ve reprogrammed many modules in the past so I know what it takes to do it, some estimates were beyond crazy, I decided to call AU and spoke to James, he beat everyone’s estimates to the point that I thought he didn’t know what he was talking about, the more I spoke to him the more I realized the level knowledge he had, I took the car had it reprogrammed paid exactly as quoted, I one day won’t be able to work on my kids car for whatever reason but I’m glad I found you guys so I can refer my whole family and friends to you guys, keep up the good Work. Thank you

Dave and Raz own the shop, nice kids, best part is reasonabl prices so 2 stars, but still inexperienced mechanics and sometimes bad customer service.Raz handles the phones/customers was dismissive when I emphasized what service needed to be done (basic, nothing major). His was like, ‘Yeah we know, don’t need anything to remind us what goes with this service’ but then after it was done his team forgot to do something, and when I asked him about it, he argued with me, the CUSTOMER, that I didn’t want it done.And he wouldn’t let up, arguing with me right there in front of other customers. He should’ve just said, “Sorry, my guy probably just missed it, let me do it now real quick” and it would’ve been fine handled like that. But no, he had to escalate it further and further, arguing with a customer who was 100% RIGHT. This kid has a lot to learn about service.They also need more experience as mechanics but I guess these kids are still learning.

Auto Union Tunning is highly recommended to anyone that owns a stock or modified car, they have it all from oil change to a full modified vehicle with knowledge and confidence in what they do. Im 3 hours away and dont mind taking my s4 audi for any service or modification on my car. A++ accords board 👍👍

I dont understand why you would install a big brake kit with the incorrect hardware components, causing a brake fluid leak. Avoid this place unless you want to harm yourself and anyone else who is in your vehicle.

I just got a new Vw gti, and I wanted to lower it a bit. My buddy from work has a gti as well and had recommended me to Au tuning. I emailed their service deptartment to set up an appointment, and they (Raz) responded very promptly. Since I lived far from their shop, they accommodated my preferred time and date for an appointment. They ordered the springs, and showed up to the appointment. The install went by quickly and I can say they did a great job! I would recommend this place for sure!Thanks, Mike

I love Raz and Dave at AUT! They have excellent customer service and do excellent work at reasonable prices.I bought my Audi from CarMax and was suckered into CarMaxs extended warranty...I ended up not being able to take my car to the dealer for repairs (even though the sales rep told us we can take our car ANYWHERE and only pay the deductible) because CarMax caps its labor rates and dealerships apparently supersedes that limit. CarMax was unable to diagnose my problem and AUT came to my rescue!These guys definitely know their Audis and more importantly to me know how to work with CarMaxs warranty service to get my repairs done with as little financial impact to me as well as keeping me on track with preventative care!Great shop...I highly recommend!
