Went in for a basic cut and style and asked that my hair be cut just barely above my shoulder line. She cut it several inches above that, at my chin. Furthermore, she styled it to look absolutely nothing like I requested (the photo I showed her was a wavy look and she styled it pencil straight). Normally I wouldn’t mind, as hair grows back, but we have family pictures coming this month. I chose this salon hoping I could receive a more reliable haircut before the family photos, but instead left almost in tears.

12/10 would recommend. I just got acrylics done here and the girl was so incredibly sweet. The rest of the staff was very friendly as well, the place was clean and cute and I will definitely be making all future appointments here. Lovely place and people.

I had an excellent experience here! I booked a manicure and pedicure with Mo, and was so happy with both services. Mo is a sweetheart, and she did an amazing job on my nails. Im a nurse and my shellac manicure lasted more than 2 weeks. She also suggested some great Aveda products to try when I asked her what her favorites were, and I love all of them as well! Great salon, great people! I cant wait to come back!

I hate to be so negative about such a new salon, but I dont want others to have my experience. I paid $250 for a cut and color and walked away with damaged hair that is much more pink than my desired red. Everyone at the salon was so friendly and sweet, I feel guilty leaving such a negative review.I suspected things werent going great during the initial service when I sat and processed for much longer than I was accustomed to and my hair had to be toned twice following the initial rinse of the color. It wasnt until I got home and washed it the next day that I felt the damage and saw that I have blond/orange/pink bits of hair all over my head. My naturally curly hair was so damaged in some areas that it lost its curl and is now weirdly straight and frizzy.Things with John Roberts are set up so that you cant call a specific salon but only to a main number, so I emailed through the site instead. I had to email through the websight twice before I received a response. When I did get a call back the manager was initially very sweet and set up a consultation with the stylist for me the next day. She then went on to ask what sort of shampoo I used saying that sometimes the shampoo can wash out color. This just floored me because it seemed like she was blaming me for the state of my hair after only one shampoo. Im sorry, I dont care what shampoo I was using, the color should have at least made it through one washing.When I went for my consult I was told that they can tone it again for me and I set up an appointment. When I brought up the texture and curl issues the response was it felt fine to me. She mumbled something about a sending me home with a mask, but nothing came of it.Ive decide to cancel the toning appointment and not go back. Again, everyone was sweet and friendly. My feelings are not personal. There is just not enough professional experience present in the salon to justify their prices. I believe my hair never should have been damaged and more should have been done in terms of service recovery to help fix my hair. Im disappointed because I wanted so much to love my experience.I am giving one star because the mini-facial, massage chair, and hand rub were pretty awesome.

I used to go to John Roberts Spa in Mayfield before the Hudson salon opened. This beautiful little salon continues the excellent John Roberts experience, from the complimentary mini facial and hand massage to the hot cup of coffee offered when you come in. All the girls are very sweet, and I trust Sammie to always make my hair look amazing. My husband even notices how happy I am with this once a month me time. Go get yourself pampered today!!

Its the little things that can make or break an experience. JR Hudson has thought of every little detail to make your experience great! From the friendly stylists to the massage chair at the shampoo bowl. They strive for the best and will do what it takes to make you feel amazing and pampered!

I called to schedule the lady was very rude, I had questions about treatments & she had the nerve to ask If I was a child. I’m grown. I was scheduling 150$ worth of stuff but with service like that over the phone don’t want to try this location! Ended up going to the appointment I scheduled & everyone at the salon was super nice & was upset that I got treated so rudely & gave me a blow dry to come back for.
