This place is a hidden gem! After a long hunt for hardwood flooring that was both high quality and reasonably priced, we were sold on the Legno Bastone French Oak at Houston Flooring Center! Not only is it thick enough to sand and re-stain as needed, but also the trees used are 150-200 years old & from a sustainable forest in France! This is the second time I have used Houston Flooring Center over the last eight years and I couldnt be happier with the results. Steve led a full engineered hardwood floor installation of my home in the Heights-area when I bought it several years ago. Houston Flooring Center did a terrific job with our 1500 ft wood flooring project, which included removal of a recently installed but failed wood floor. Installer Fernando Mata and assistant Ivan did a superb job with both the removal and installation of the new floor. We especially appreciate that they took great care with refloating the floors and ensuring they were cured before final installation.The finished project reflects the meticulous workmanship of a master craftsman. Fantastic workmanship! Steve and his crews do an unbelievable job. We just had a water heater burst and needed a repair job. The general contractor we hired was terrible and had them come back and re do the repair. Good as new! Can’t tell there was ever an issue. Should have called them the first time. They were our original installers and installed Preverco floors for us. Highly recommend!

Very pleased with the job. Good quality workmanship. The floor looks great. Crew were very thorough and communicative. Suggest using a tarp or sheet to protect nearby carpet in the future.

We had to remove part of the wood floor in our kitchen in order to repipe the kitchen island. Installers from Houston Flooring Center replaced the removed floor. They were courteous and deliberate in their execution of replacing the floor area that had been removed. They also did all their cutting outside of the house and did a thorough job of cleaning up after they finished the work. I rate their work as excellent.

Steve and his company are great professionals. I am a builder and this was very high end custom home that required perfect French oak and special color. He beat everyone on price, his installers were fast and accurate and everything went great on 3500 SF of multiple rooms and stair case work.He is attentive and manages his team and materials quality in a superb way. HFC installed engineered hardwood floors throughout our house and matching solid wood treads on our stairwell.Our floors and stairs look fantastic. Steve and his team offered a very fair price along with excellent customer service. We had two installation teams (one for the floors and the other for the stairwell treads); both of them were courteous, professional and neat.We could not be happier with the end result and HFC was great to work with. We would highly recommend them.

Excellent Store. I went to the Houston Flooring Center (on Texas Hwy 6 N) and within a few minutes with their help, picked out a perfect hardwood flooring solution for my home. I was also able to schedule an installation date within the week. Installation went very well. They did a great job and in less time than I thought it would take. I definitely recommend them for flooring.

The five star reviews on here must be legitimate! After searching for a few flooring stores and saw one wood floor I liked in my price range I was going to go with another store. Then I decided before I would go through with it I would look around more and I found Houston Flooring Center and their great reviews. I went into the store, which they have a nice show room, and saw a floor in there that I loved, which I saw at the other store too but was out of my price range there! The other store was selling the same floor for $3+ more per square foot! I asked a bunch of question and was very satisfied with the experience I had with Steve. They installed about 1100 sq ft of flooring and also did my stairs in the same floor when I was out of town on spring break. They moved all my furniture and made sure all foundation was level before installing. I came home to beautiful wood floors and am very happy with my purchase here. I would definitely not hesitate coming here and working with Steve.

Beware contractors with Houston flooring when I returned materials to Shaw through them they (Stephan)sent me a bogus refund check, I called Jasmine and she told me they would release the check the next day, the next day came and still the bank refused they are like insurance companies they like to take in but not pay out, will never order flooring from them again

After seeing wood floor samples at 8 different establishments I chose HFC ! I was a consumer expert by then. Steve was extremely knowledgeable, patient to review all aspects of each wood. I chose preverco -maple, variation with knots, pre-oil, truffe color. It’s gorgeous. Worth the wait from Canada. We did the stair case too as Steve recommended.

Steve and his team was awesome! The day I came to Steves store, he consulted me to the right wood and was flexible with the estimate and installation date. I was busy with work and he even came at 7 PM to give me an estimate on the house. On the installation date, Edwins (team leader) and his team came on time and quickly remove my carpet and leveling. It only took them 3 days to finish my whole house. The wood was perfectly installed by the team, they did everything as detailed as possible. I do not have anything to say but recommend for them. Steve and his team are the nicest people to deal with. If in the future I need to install wood or tile, I will definitely come back to Steve and the team! We had an amazing experience with Houston Flooring Center. We had laminate and carpeting done and they did a really good job with both. There was a mix-up and the wrong color carpet was ordered (partially our fault) and Arman ordered the correct color and didnt charge us a penny for it!There were a couple other things that we wanted adjusted on the carpet and Arman sent out the guys again to take care of everything to our satisfaction! Extremely positive experience working with them as they were very pleasant and easy to deal with. Would definitely recommend!!!

I published a complaint that I had with Houston Flooring Center recently about the installation of flooring in my home. There was a misunderstanding that could have been resolved easily by both parties earlier, but was not. I am changing my rating of Houston Flooring Center because in the end the company did what any company would do as it reaches out to solve a customers problem. Houston Flooring Center made me an offer that probably went above what some businesses would offer and we both agreed on a compromise that satisfied me and Houston Flooring Center. I leave this posting knowing that this is a business that truly does try to satisfy its customers.

I went to Houston Flooring Center for laminate and also ended up buying granite counter tops. Their selection and price was outstanding and Steve, the manager, was very helpful. Both were installed without problems and I love the new look.

Bought some laminate floors and got a great deal, I thought. I looked around but the selection and price at Houston Flooring Center was the best and installation went smooth. I highly recommend.

We investigated having our master bedroom floor changed out as it had carpet with three dogs and a cat. We received what we considered a reasonable price for removing the carpet and putting down travertine. In fact we liked the tile so much we decided that we would replace all of our downstairs flooring. First, the installers really know what they are doing for sure. Second, the tile that was installed was far better than I had ever imagined it in my mind. Our master bedroom is a masterpiece of art, not just a floor. Finally, we underestimated the amount of time it would take to complete the job. We estimated 1-2 weeks from start to finish having removed nearly every stick of furniture we had in our bottom floor even before the installer showed up the first day. It actually took 3.5 weeks to complete. Although we were really ready to get this project over with, as we were still living in the house during the work, the installers kept to their plan and really did what we believe to be super quality work. Note: If you are going to stay in your house while the work is done, just know it will be pretty uncomfortable while the installation is taking place. After the install, I made the suggestion to the management that the installers start using moving blankets to cover doors that they take off and lay against the walls. This would help mitigate any unnecessary marks on the walls and additional cleanup after the project is completed. Finally, I cant image where I would rather be than in my home with the brand new flooring. The project was very painful for us for the reasons I stated above however our floors look like they could be part of a museum floor. I could not be happier. Our house looks amazing!

I was looking for some quality laminate flooring for a good price and found exactly what I was looking for here at Houston Flooring Center. I was very happy with the services I received from HF Centre! We had our floors installed two weeks ago now, and were super glad we went with HF Centre.We went to the showroom and met with Steve when inquiring about redoing our floors. We initially thought we wanted hardwood or engineered hardwood and told him we wanted the most durable hardwood possible. He let us know that while some are better than others, the only flooring with a warranty for water and pet damage was a luxury vinyl flooring thats fairly new. We were skeptical of vinyl at first, but it looked so much like wood, and the lifetime warranty and price won us over.I also want to note that when Steve came out for the measurement and estimate, we made it clear we needed individuals who could move the furniture. We have a glass dining table, and we had no means of moving it, and other flooring quotes we had didnt include the moving, and they refused to do it. Steve, on the other hand, was very receptive and let us know that his guys could definitely move the table and accommodate us. We were thrilled.We were able to get it installed in less than 2 weeks from the quote. They happily accommodated our request to do it so quickly, and they were extremely professional the whole time. The deposit was a bit large, but so much of the cost is the cost of materials, so it made sense to me.The crew who did the installation were seriously top notch both days. I cannot rave about them enough. They were early, professional, and friendly. I felt completely comfortable with them in my home and doing the job.I would 100% use them again for another job, and I would gladly recommend them to anyone who needed any kind of flooring. These are your guys!

Our experience has been very positive due to Steve and Armans excellent customer service.We hired HFC to do our kitchen granite countertop. Steve and Arman were very patient despite our indecision and going back and forth with our order. The price was definitely competitive. The installation didnt go as well and there were some accident and unpleasant situations to deal with, some due to the installer and some due to our older cabinets that were falling apart. However, I believe Steve took a loss on this transaction in order to make his customer happy. Im very grateful for how Steve handle the whole situation and turn my overall experience to be rather positive in the end. Ill definitely recommend HFC to others.

The wife and I had just about had it with the big box stores on flooring when we stumbled across Houston Flooring center. we were exposed to brands weve never heard of before but one in particular grabbed our interest. steve at the Hwy 6 location fixed us up w/ a sample - we checked the Mfg on the internet and ordered about 900 sq ft of what we think is some of the best engineered flooring weve seen. and yes, we are DIYrs so weve done this before. the prices were competitive and everything they said about their products was spot on. its truly refreshing to find a business that you can count on.........and well be back. were only doing half of the house this time. I highly recommend these guys and the products they offer.

We had a great experience with HF center and I really appreciate Amans help from there. We spent many months to find wood floor for our new house and we really like the modern look of Du Chateau, but the price was kind of expensive. We visited HFC several times because their price is very reasonable and Aman explained all different kinds of wood floors to us in details. He knows what he is doing and patiently answered all of our questions. While we were still struggling which brand to go with, he notified us when there was a special promotion going on from the wood floor company so finally we have our dream floor. The installation had to be done by the builder, however, Aman still shares all the important installation steps with us and our installer. If you have flooring needs especially if you are looking for wood floors with contemporary look, I highly recommend HFC to you as they know their business very well.
