My first time here and everything was clean and organized. Teresa did my nails, she was very detailed but quite, which was fine. I came on a Sunday which was less crowded and comfortable. Ill be returning back.

I never leave reviews, but honestly this place service and Employees are awful.I visit because is convenient, I stay 6 min away.I visit for the first time for shellac pedi and Regular manicure. The lady doing my toes was trying to force me to get a $45 dollar pedi on top of the shellac service. She lie about her prices and when I show her the online prices she got upset. She did my pedi so rough. The employee that did my nails did a great job. I paid and left. I came back today sept. 15 after 4 months. I just wanted a mani and since they are so close to me and they did a good job I didn’t see big deal. As soon as I get there, I stood 11 min in the front before anyone ask me what service I needed, they didn’t even greet me. After I had say “Hello” multiple time (They a knowledge me and ignore me) an employee finally came. I told her “I needed acrylic removal and manicure” she looked around an after being in silence for like 1-2 min she told me “Can you come tomorrow” and she walk away. They closed at 8 I came in @ 5:30. They had 3 people waiting. I understand if they were busy but she could’ve explain.So unprofessional. NOT recommend this place at all.

Showed up for a 6:30 appointment I booked earlier in the day. I checked in at 6:25 and was still not attended to by 7:00. Someone who showed up after I did was attended to before me. Ended up leaving. Poor professionalism

In 20 years, I’ve never had nails that listed three weeks. I’m writing this review because today marks the first rime that I’ve hit the 3 wks mark without having one nail break. They did a fantastic job! I had the power dip with the tip added. It’s a beautiful new year color, sparkle glitter. Clearly I need a fill in but I was just happy I did not need a fill set after 8 -10 days. I’m very pleased with the time they took to find the right size mail for fitting and coating. Very professional, engaging customer service and I felt like I was at a private spa all to myselfUpdate: 8/21/21 seems like every since I did this review- the nails and service has declined. I have revisited 9 times since the review 6 months ago- hoping to get the same person and only once did I. Now, I’m hoping that they will exercise some consistency in how all the technicians do the nails. The first time, I got three coatings of the powder gel. Every time since then it’s been like one or two coatings and they seemed rushed every single time I go in. Nothing is consistent. Please, just have every technician do them with three coatings before sealing and we will all be happy … or just be consistent so that I will know what to expect and if I need to find another spot

Pedicures are $45 +, I noticed that the basic pedicure had a half the lines from the description covered.My pedicure was priced at $60 and they barely used any product on my claves for the wrap, it was pre-measured in small 2oz containers. The clay was so dry the man had trouble spreading it on my legs, and half of the product fell into the foot soak.My sister didn’t get a top coat on her polish, and when she asked the man said it the pedicure didn’t come with one.The men that did our feet weren’t attentive, joked among each other constantly, never spoke to use besides to ask what color, didn’t time the massages, nor did they put in any effort into the massages.The customer service was awful.My sisters nail polish was smudged and she asked to fix it but it was still noticeable.To top it off, the lady at the register also charged me and my sister $5 extra dollars each for our service even though we got regular polish?I will say that the lady that did the acrylics on my sister was very sweet, and did a very good job, which is why I gave more than one star.

I walked in and then right out. Someone’s nail residue, dead skin, and even an old nail from the previous customer was all over the chair and foot rest. If they can’t remember to wipe down a chair or look at it before they give it to a customer, I can only imagine the cleanliness of their tools.

I decided to go to this nail lounge expecting a great experience after not getting a pedicure for 5 years! Despite the overall esthetic of the lounge the service I choose was expensive, subpar and my nail ended up chipping 15 mins after leaving the lounge. This was NOT the experience I expected.

Went here for a pedicure during lunch and think I found a new nail place for pedicure. They were able to assist me right away. They were friendly. They also did an amazing job cleaning up my feet! I loved the wax they used as well.

I just moved in the area and was recommended to a nail salon at Holcombe and Greenbriar but the atmosphere was too hectic for my taste 🥴 so I left. On my way home I noticed Grand Lux and decided to stop. As a walk in I was seen quickly. The ambiance, yes ambiance was perfect.There is a large dip color selection (Almost overwhelming)!I did an acrylic soak off with a dip service to my natural nails with 1 repair (Total $50). My tech offered me a drink and we got started. He was pleasant and very detailed in his work (Which I LOVE in a technician)! He maintained my shape, kept my nails thin yet sturdy and made sure my cuticles were straight as well!I hope this review helps (Because when I’m dissatisfied, I move on. My last salon, I was a client for over a year, and the service became lax. I hadn’t had my nails done for 6 weeks while I’d been scouting for a new 💅🏽 spot and I think Grand Lux is it) 🤗

Me and my mom went about a week ago and was charged $20 for lip and chin wax. I thought it was a bit pricey but work was already done. Looked online and the correct price should’ve been $15. I’m all about paying what I owe but I hate dishonesty and people that strive to get over. Do not go!

I came here with my significant other. Asked for two pedicures, acrylic nail fix, and gel color change. My nails turned out absolutely beautiful. On the other hand when I got a pedicure, after oil was put on feet they didn’t use alcohol to wipe to nails before applying the polish which caused my nail polish to wipe right off. Traveled from Atlanta,.... very disappointing.

Very poor quality of product, the job on both my nails and my toenails was rushed!!! I paid $208 for mine and my sisters nails for her toenails to be messed up the very next day and my nails to come off the very next day. I would not recommend going here it looks nice but it really is not

I feel like I have both good and bad experiences at all salons. This is the first time coming to Grand Lux. I booked my appointment for a facial and pedicure online, then called to move it up. The facial room was lit with overhead lights the whole time, which is odd, but tolerable. The facial was good otherwise. My pedicure was great. The technician had a great massage and my feet look great. A lot of times, techs will cut too much of the cuticle back and leave ingrown nails or slop on polish (I have smaller toenail beds) and neglect to clean it up, but this gal was awesome. Wide polish selection between regular, gel, and dip. Reasonable price, and they have ‘happy hour’ details or other discounts-check their website! The extra should massage during the pedicure was also a nice treat. They also give a rewards card for repeat visits. This appears to be the closest salon to the medical centers, so it’s worth a visit if you’re staying close by, I walked from my hotel. I hope any return visits have similar positive experiences.

Oh my goodness!!! I decided to go here to get a refill due to the fact it was close to work. I should have followed my first mind of not patronizing here.The refill was sloppily done on the left hand in addition to little powder to go along with it. I said could you please add some more powder. She said that would be an extra charge. No ma’m! And, the fixed broken nail did not look the same as the others. Ha! Since I wasn’t going for it she asked me to leave. Lol! I mean she didn’t even get to the right hand as of yet. I wanted to leave before she even told me to. I was just giving her the benefit of the doubt. I’m ashamed of myself for not following my first mind.Steer clear of this place! They really do sloppy work. They even have a sign that says “They can refuse service!” I mean they don’t even try to work with the customer. #NeverAgain

This place needs to be shut down. My last experience was terrible. The tech attempted to argue with me because he made the nails too thick. I was cut by other techs here in the past. They’re just not professional or experienced. Everything screams “not licensed.” Will continue driving 12 miles to my preferred shop.

They are not the same as when they first opened. I wont be back. I stopped in because this is the only salon near my job open after 7. The pedicures start at 40$. Usually I always pay for a deluxe but it was late so I was wanting just an Express one. Nope they start at 40$. Then apparently they were out of wine. Yet I am looking at a half full glass of wine from a previous client and two full bottles on their bar. Next time I will just wait until the weekend to go to my now usual spots. Plus last time I was here, they messed up my brows. They have to be under different ownership.

Complete and total waste of money, I will never go back and am mad at myself for giving a tip!! Be aware the online menu does not match the in store menu. Online they offer a $28 pedicure. Once you are there and have your feet in the water, the cheapest pedicure is $40! So I ordered the Grand Luxe because it was the cheapest option now available. But I can assure you I had no warm neck wrap, no stone foot massage and no 5 min shoulder massage. In fact, the gentleman doing my toes, put my shoes back on me between polish layers and after completing the topcoat said I’m done. He lifted the arm of the chair and pointed me towards the desk to pay. I left with wet toes and it’s not like they were busy, the only other people in there was a lady and her mother getting pedicures also. Besides all that, the chair’s side tables that hold a cup, were filthy and don’t look like they’ve been wiped down since yesterday, I was the first customer of the morning. Basically, don’t visit this nail salon unless you want to pay WAY too much for less than what is promised and leave with wet polish!! Again, I’m mad at myself for tipping or even paying full price!

I used to love this place, but today I had a horrible experience with Ivy! If you ever visit please avoid this woman at all cost. She was very rude, and didnt provide the full service pedicure that I paid for. Once she finished the pedicure service, I was told to sit and let my feet dry. I sat and let my feet dry with the idea that I would receive the massage included with the pedicure. I come to the salon twice a week and I get the same exact pedicure each time. After the nail polish on my feet were dry, I was directed to the front of the salon to pay for my incomplete services. I mentioned the shoulder massage to Ivy (assuming it slipped her mind). Ivy informed me that she couldnt give me a shoulder massage, because she didnt want to mess up my hair. I had my hair in a ponytail, and she did not mention anything about my hair preventing me from getting a massage. I’ve been to this salon several times, and I’ve never been denied the services that were supposed to be included with the pedicure that I chose. The salon also offers 20% off between 9:30 am -2:00pm. I arrived at 12 pm, and Ivy informed me that I couldn’t get the discount, because I arrived at 2:45 pm. At this point I became very confused and upset. I refused to pay if they didnt honor the discount that was promised. I spoke to the owner (which I dont believe was the owner because Ive met the actual owner) and she stated, Ivy is always like this, we get complaints all the time. She did nothing to resolve the problem. There are too many nail salons in Houston, and I wont ever spend my money again here. I wasn’t valued nor was I appreciated. Please go somewhere where your time and money are truly valued.

I wanted to get my nails done late one Friday but most of the nearby salons closed at 7 & this one was open until 7:30 so I decided to check it out. I was warmly welcomed into a GORGEOUS spa like atmosphere and immediately helped by Tiffany who spent an HOUR AND A HALF on me! I will definitely be returning.

By far the best experience Ive ever recieved at a nail salon. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. My nails have literally never looked better. I think the services are well worth the cost. Not to mention, there are complimentary beverages like wine! I think that I have found my new nail home!

First time here was not pleasant. My pedicure came out okay but my nails look horrible. I asked for the solar French tip with pearl and they have soooo many bubbles.. far look from natural! The ladies hardly spoke and just grabbed my foot or kept pointing in which direction to move my foot or hand. Will def take the drive to my usual place with greater service and way better prices !!!! Place is nice though.

My first time trying this nail spa. Overall is ok. I did like the ambiance and color selection. What I reallyyyy did not like was the so so service. I felt a bit rushed. Did not get to relax as I would have liked. Technician for manicure was a bit heavy handed cleaning my nails, hurt me a bit cleaning my cuticles. Then the young guy that was working on my pedicure, was distracted by a ninja movie on the tv, so would kind of stop massaging my feet because apparently the movie was so good. The 10 min neck shoulder massage was more of a beatdown version and it was not really 10 min. Also, it was hot and they wouldnt put on the A/c. I would try this place again but not with those technicians from today.

**Edit** The lady that did my nails made them way too thin and they are constantly breaking.. the fingernail polish they use is cheap and comes off very easily. Changing to 2 stars.. dont come here!Not sure how I feel about this place.. good & not very good at the same time. I got basic nails and they didnt turn out very well. My toes however turned out well. For the price however, I wouldnt recommend. There are cheaper places that provide better quality.

I like this spot, it’s nice and friendly. Great specials and selections. Good customer service, they went out of their way to purchase a shellac color I had asked about in a previous visit. This was my go to salon for a month or 2, until I went on vacation to Hawaii. I had an infection on my finger, freaking out I thought I had a flesh eating bacteria or something dire. I averted my flight home to find an urgent care center bc of the pain in my finger. Turns out it was from the nail salon practices, I had a nail infection, paronychia. It was awful 😭

I tried to sleep on it before I gave this review, I went to this salon on yesterday, and I will NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. The lady who did my nails(the older one with the neon blue glasses) kept messing up my dip, and then kept telling me not to worry. She also was bragging about how shes been doing nails for 20 years!!!!! When, where, how, and WHY???!!!!! Are you kidding me?????? Well.......... my nails are all different shapes and sizes, my color is not evenly applied, and then what made everything worse, the owner comes over and hes like oh, it look good. This DOES NOT LOOK GOOD AT ALL!!!!!!!. Needless to say, if youre looking to waste your money, this is the place for you.

I’ve been visiting Grand Lux on and off for 3 years now and feel like i can give an honest review.Overall the salon is very clean and feels upscale. The front receptionist is an older woman is is very friendly and I’ve never had an issue with a walk in.Facial room is adequate, though i did find for the price of a facial my experience was a little lacking.On most occasions I have both a pedicure and a set put on. Most of the time the quality is slightly above average and quick. I haven’t seen the same nail techs each time I’ve gone in so it’s harder to request someone specific. A minimal few of the nail techs are friendly, otherwise your experience is probably going to be quiet.I found my most recent experience to be disappointing (which is why i am writing a review). My nail tech struggled with her English and shrugged when I asked for more powder colors for my nails. She then proceeded to finish painting her nails while i sat at her station waiting to get started. Eventually when she was ready to begin, she cut me twice on my left hand on two separate fingers between the nail and the skin. When i made a face she stopped to look at the damage before continuing to run the nail file over the same spot she just cut.on the first powdered nail, I noticed the color did not cover the entire nail. she had another tech come and try to “pry” it off with her fingers. Eventually the new tech took over and began stripping the nail while my first tech sat next to her, painting and filing her own nails. The new tech talked and listened to a video on her phone while she worked on me, and stoped when another customer came in and passed me back to the original tech.After all was done, I noticed that the powder looked very streaky, and that two of the nails were glued on crooked. At that point to be honest I just wanted to go home, so I paid and left.I’m not sure if the tech was new, Not properly trained or just not feeling it that day, but it made for one of the worst experiences I’ve had at this salon which is really disappointing (getting my nails done for my birthday). i would say this is not the typical experience but it should be warranted since it seems like the staff constantly rotates new people. Hopefully this review helps provide some insight for their staff.

This is a relatively new place and they did an adequate job based on the price (I had a groupon for two). My service was quick and average but my mom had someone who kept saying she was tired and accidentally kept dropping things on her or missing parts of the nail while painting them. My biggest problem was that they painted on top of some of my cuticles and the result does not look good. So overall, they have varied service based on who you get.

I just got my nails done on this last Thursday. Today is Monday so its only been 4 days. I went with the chrome shellac on my nails. First the nail tech did not seem to have experience doing this style of nails because another tech came over and told her the steps. I didnt mind because it seemed quite simple. I chose a silver color. The tech began to put a pink base and I attempted to stop her saying that wasnt the color I chose. She assured me that this was the base and final result would be the color I chose. Ive never gotten chrome so I trusted her. Well turns out it wasnt the correct color but I really liked it so I was still happy with it. She kept applying the layers too thick causing the polish to pool around the edges making it thick on one side. She kept blaming me saying I was turning my hands! Ive gotten shellac many times and I can tell when the tech knows what she or he is doing. Wellll the set was a total of $50 dollars. Not sure why but thats what they set the price to be so thats what I payed. Fast forward to today and the shellac on my left thumb is literally peeling off! So upset. Never returning to this company. So disappointed by the service I received for the price.

I usually come to this salon with my mother and I normally pay no less than $200 for both of our hands and feet. I always get simple things. Yesterday I came for a refill with shellac paint. Nothing fancy. Cost me $45. I always use my real nails with an over lay. For my feet, I asked for the regular pedicure ($40). With the same paint for my toes. I was charged $5 to take off my old polish and an additional $20 for shellac paint. So my total was over a hundred dollars. On top of that, the technician did not allow my nails to completely dry and smudged every finger nail. Then left it that way. This place is extremely expensive for nothing.

There are too many other nail salons in Houston to receive crappy service. I went for a pink and white ombre dip and pedicure. There is a difference between the menu in the salon and online. The pedicure was subpar. When I asked about the shoulder massage I was told they didnt do it anymore for the $40 pedicures. The woman doing my nails must have been new to dip powder. It was $65 for a dip service and tomorrow I will be spending more money to have them redone somewhere else.Everyone else was offered wine. I wasnt offered any beverage. The woman doing my dip kept talking about it to others in the salon. I asked her to do the pink first and sprinkle the white. She did the opposite.The discounts are nice, but it doesnt help when you have to spend more time and money to get the problem fixed.My husband said they looked hideous when I got home.

This is the BEST experience ive had at a nail salon. Everyone is so welcoming. This place is nice inside very elegant! All the staff were nice and attentive. My nail tech Brain was so sweet and did my nails perfect. This place is 3mins from my apartment so I will definitely be back 😊. Next time Ill get the pedi it seems like they spoil you.

When I was not satisfied with what was going on with my nails, I asked them no biggie, ill go somewhere else, please stop. So the manager assured me I would be fine and this is how we do it here. I said im not liking this, please stop. I felt he would not let me leave. After two hours my nails are rough, thick and my cuticle look like a dog ate them. I have dry cuticles, but any other nails salon I have ever been to I have never left looking like a dog ate my fingers. Made me pay for the serives I asked them to stop two hours ago. Others seemed to be fine, however when you know what you want and your nails come out worse than going in, I have a problem with that.

I really like this place. It is clean, has a large selection of nail polishes, closes late, and they show you exactly what youre paying for, so you dont feel ripped off. Try the flare gel! It costs more but it is totally worth it!!

Drove here for 35 minutes one way through stop and go traffic on southwest freeway. Arrived on the dot only to be told my name wasnt on the appointment book for 10am. I usually book appointments several weeks to a month in advance due to my busy schedule plus the inconvenience that I work night time, i had to schedule appointments when im off for at least two days. I wonder if the person who answered my phone call a month ago have alzheimer’s disease. How could she forget to put my name on the appointment book? That’s just stupidity! I was just told to come back tomorrow or later this afternoon. Didnt get an apology. And was just asked who i talked to on the phone because that person must have forgotten to put my name. No accountability at all!!!Well i aint got no time for that. Totally a bad first impression of this place. And first impressions last.This review might not cost anything monetary to the company because i already paid for the damn service but hope the company will do better on customer service!

My technician was ok. However, during my service, another technician came into the room TWICE. Left the door ajar while she looked for whatever she came in to find. After i told her to close the door, and my technician to lock it, She came back a third time! horrible customer service. Will not be returning.

I’ve personally had really good experiences, but I can TOTALLY see how some people haven’t. I normally go to the same lady, but I’ve seen other customers get mad with other techs.

It called my attention that I was charged before the service took place. Other nail salons that Ive gone to, charge after services offered. I noticed that the equipment ( nail clippers and such) where in a bag that was clearly dirty and I asked the pedicure lady if she was using autoclaved equipment and all of the sudden she didnt understand English and started talking to another lady in another language. After my pedicure was done, I told the front lady that this was the first time that Im encountered dirty equipment bags and that I was concerned. One of the manicurists said that they had not received the autoclaving bags and that they had to do what they can do they were using some liquid. That said, some time after that pedicure I got a planar wart for the first time in my life. Ethically, I feel compelled to let others know so that they can prevent getting infected with HPV on their feet. Ive always been highly hygenic and having to go through the painful process of having the wart removed because I went to get a pedicure in a dirty place its unacceptable. I should have left the nail salon the moment I noticed lack of cleanliness.

Ive been there several times always schedule an appointment or try whenever Ivy comes to work. I scheduled an appt for today @9:30 .I get there on time I waited for 10 minutes and finally someone asked if I needed help, I told the lady I had an appt with Ivy, she said Ivy was on her way but stuck in traffic, I asked how long would it be before she got there the lady said she didnt know and she didnt ask her. I asked her did she at least tell Ivy she had a customer waiting for her for now 20 minutes she just walked away.Now another comes over saying Ivy is not coming in today because her child is sick. So which lie is it?. The staff offered NO resolution. I left VERY disappointed. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!Update. 8/15/2018. I called again to schedule an appt with Ivy, was told shes out again today. I asked if Eileen was available, the lady asked what time did I want to come in I said 1:30pm, she said ok. I got there at 1:15pm, I walk in the lady at the front desk asked if she could help me, I told her I had an appt with Eileen at 1:30pm, she said oh she left. I just turned around and walked out. I called back about 20 minutes later and asked to speak with the owner and was told by Lucy(who was very rude) the owner(Helen) is on vacation and would be back in a month. I asked if there was a manager or someone I could speak with and she said she was the manager. I told her this was the 2nd time in 4 days this has happened, her exact words were Oh well I dont know what to tell you . Not I apologize for the confusion. Can someone else help you. Absolutely nothing. AGAIN VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE OR LACK OF COMMON COURTESY TOWARDS THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMER!!!!!

DO NOT COME HERE IF I COULD POST 0 STARS I WOULD I JUST LEFT THERE RIGHT NOW AND I HAD MY EYEBROWS WAXED SHE LEFT ALL KINDS OF HAIR AND PULLED MY EYE LASHES OUT WHILE WAXING MY EYEBROWS ON TOP IT COST 10 DOLLARS FOR A SERVICE SHE DIDNT COMPLETE I TOLD HER THERE WAS STILL HAIR AND SHE SAID NO THERE WASNT WHEN I COULD CLEARLY SEE IT. MY 1ST AND LAST EXPERIENCE HERE WOULDNT RECCOMEND ANY ONE TO COME HERE. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND CANT DO A SIMPLE WAX.
