Diego is awesome!!! He made me feel extremely welcome while taking care of my return this morning. His amazing wife Kayla also happened to be there keeping him company and helping him with the new school year rentals, and she is just as amazing as him. They took time out of their business to actually have a conversation with a stranger, and they didn’t even know how much that kindness truly was needed by me this morning. This place is amazing! I have stopped by the shop three times and the last two weeks getting everything for my horn, and Diego is super helpful and knowledgeable every time! He does a great job of making me feel like everything is safe and clean! I have been in there when there is just me and other times where there is multiple customers. Diego always manages to gets around to everyone in a timely manner with great customer service! I couldnt imagine this place without him!

I had an old silver trumpet refurbished there after 5 years of being stagnant and tarnished in a case. Music & Arts did an excellent job of bringing my old horn back to life. And the manager, Diego even stayed late after hours so I could pick up my horn on a busy week night. I would highly recommend going here for any of your music needs!

I came in with my boyfriend because we checked online for an interface and saw one available at this location for pickup. We came into the store and the employee was extremely sarcastic with us. He said “umm well did you call and ask in advance instead of just walking in?” And he kept talking in a condescending tone. We didn’t mind that they didn’t have one available but we didn’t appreciate the attitude. I work in retail so I’m very kind and understanding with other retail people, and I am just really disappointed in the experience we had. We ended up purchasing another interface they had but I didn’t appreciate the attitude.

Had a great experience at Music and Arts. Specifically working with Diego. We had an honest chat about instrument repairs vs. purchasing used equipment. I was not a pushover - and he was definitely not pushy. We reached an agreeable business deal that works for both of us. He had a great deal of knowledge and an easygoing personality which encouraged trust. I am glad I came here and would recommend it to others looking for instrument-related purchases and advice.

Just got my alto saxophone repaired by the guys at music and arts, the works, polish, brand new pads, fixed keys, and a new mouthpiece! Huge shout out to Diego for amazing recommendations. Diego(worker) was amazing. Very good for advise on trumpets and a good trumpet player too. They are very nice people tell u exactly what u need. They have amazing items that can let u shoot for the stars. There is even an area to look at some cool music books that lets u play fun songs so u don’t get bored. They give u specific and precise information on how to treat your instrument so that it stays in the best state possible to play. They have changed the what I see music.

Diego signed me up for online (Zoom) lessons with David Adame. It would have been my first lesson and boy did I learn a lot! I learned that he completely wasted my time. Both of them did!I emailed and called/left messages for Diego when the “instructor” didn’t show up or call to tell me of any delay he may have.That wasn’t the worst part: the worst part was that not only did Diego not call or email me back after my messages about the instructor not showing up, I called the next day and he refused to take my call to discuss or reschedule. I’m not sure what the deal is; I was quite excited about the lessons. But his complete lack of professionalism to even face or apologize for a simple mistake or oversight isn’t indicative of a person in a managerial position. He made David (sales associate) take the “message” and brunt of an unhappy customer expressing their disappointment. That’s disgraceful.

I rented to buy a Clarinet for my daughter from Music and Art 3 years ago. After 3 years I decided to buy the Clarinet and did all the paperwork for it. Somehow my account was never closed when I purchased the Clarinet and I was still receiving invoices for the rental of the Clarinet. Diego Espinoza took the extra step to ensure that I would be taking care of. He spend a great deal of time on the phone for me. That is top customer service. I highly recommend that particular location and their manager Diego.

I had started shopping around for an entry-level digital piano in early October of this year. I went the whole nine yards and had reviewed the Yamaha P71, Roland FP30, & the Kawai ES110. I had even diligently checked through the local used markets for a few weeks before deciding that even though buying used could be cheaper, I just didn’t want to deal with not having a warranty in case of defect or equipment failure.By then, I was in early November and so close to Black Friday that I figured I should visit a few storefronts to see what sales they had. I had gone to three major local storefronts before I was quoted a 25% discount off the retail price for a Yamaha YDP-164. At that point, I was ready to pull the trigger. I should also mention that most of the stores had reasonably friendly staff as well.However, life kept me busy, and I’m glad it did. On a lark, I ended up calling Music and Arts on Jameel and spoke to Diego. He offered me 30% off the retail price of the YDP-164 over their store’s Black Friday sales event. However, the caveat was going to be that they probably would not have it in rosewood and would instead order in black. It wasn’t perfect, but at that price point, who was I to complain?Fast forward a week: I called Diego, and he mentioned that it had taken a while for him to get back in touch with me because he had wanted to surprise me by trying to locate a YDP-164 in rosewood in another store.I realize that most of this review highlighted the discounted rate that I was trying to receive, but I must admit that it has been a pleasure dealing with Diego. He was committed to providing me with the best price point and didn’t stop there. He went on to locate the exact model and finish I wanted. Throughout the process, he was also patient and dealt with my incessant phone calls to the store to check on progress.As mentioned above, most of the staff I encountered at other stores were reasonably friendly as well. However, what distinguished Diego from the rest was his ability to go one step further for me, on his own time. The message it sends me is that I am more than just a customer and that I am treated as family.That is something that money just doesn’t buy. I’ll happily bring my business here in future.Edit: I ended up paying in person instead of over the phone. My impression of Diego is that he is a very diligent & hard worker. In the 25 minutes that I was in the store, many more customers came in. He handled them efficiently & professionally. When the influx of customers was too high, he immediately called for help so that everyone could be taken care of in a timely manner. In person, I realized just how many hoops that Diego had to jump through to get me the discount I wanted. I am very thankful for his efforts. Furthermore, as I waited, I noticed a list of his priorities and to do’s written out neatly, to the side of the counter that he was working on. It may be a very short time to develop a snapshot of a person, but through the phone conversations and the time I spent communicating in-store with him, I know Diego is someone who will go far in life, regardless of what he does.

I get guitar strings there and purchased a Yamaha keyboard. I notice they have a nice little selection of good inexpensive guitars (Epiphones and Squires, etc.). Im looking at a PA system or Acoustic Amp now for acoustic gigs.All in all prices seem right and I think theyll try to match prices if you find something they sell advertised for less.I especially like John there. Hes knowledgeable and helpful. I recommend the place. Check them out if you live near or you drive by.

I would like to give a shout out to the team here at this location. Diego and David are the guys fpr the job. Im a woodwind player the put down my instrument 5 years ago and now have a inspiration to pick it back up. I came in with my saxophone and they told me everything I need to do for my sax and gave me pointers on things they reccommend. They even told me about free classes I can take if I need some help getting back into the swing of playing, which I will take advantage of. I went to a open house event at Dean Middle school for a saxophone rental. Turns out my childs instrument still hasnt arrived, so I went to the closest Music store and took care of the issue the manager Diego and Eric took especially good care of me they called customer service canceled the original rental and they did the rental on the spot for me, they even gave me a discount on my accessories for my troubles. Im glad I went to that store they staff is very knowledgable and caring.

Delightful and very friendly repair staff but I cant say the same about the front-end. I agree with the comment about the customer service staff being rude in a passive way. Its unfortunate, really, the store/shop is conveniently located and, if you dont see what you want/need, they can easily procure the item in a relatively short amount of time. I would have rated them a 5 if not for the front-end staff.

Stay as far as you can from this place, seriously. We bought a flute with their representation on 10/2016. That was superb. But since then they keep trying to charge us for the flute, which is fully paid for months already (they originally offered in 3 payments, though they charged all in the 1st payment; we should have known they were trouble). Now they keep using our credit card (provided at the time of purchase), committing fraud (the bank has been informed). We talked with them, send them e-mails, etc, more times I can think of. One day they claim problem solved and then the day after they charge our credit card. Stay away!
