This law firm has cost me nearly $100k and has proved to be incompetent. Craig Haston negligently drafted and had me sign a settlement agreement that awarded all items in the marital home including my personal property, heirlooms etc. to my wife. He then tried to blame me for this! His assistant pointed out that the original draft of the agreement had a carve out whose intention was to allow me to retain such items, but Haston ignored it. The State Bar, remarkably, excuses such acts of omission and negligence from its disciplinary process, so I have no comeback against a lawyer I wish I had never appointed and who has been a huge let down. I recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Mr. Haston is a poor choice of representation if you have a child and are divorcing, especially if you are a father. He works for the Family Law Foundation and lobbies state officials against changes to laws that would encourage equal shared parenting. He makes his money off high conflict and wants to keep it coming in.

Had mediation at this branch of the Haston Law Firm. Instead of traditional mediation, Mr.Haston spent the 8 hour duration (along with my attorney) attempting to bully me into accepting the first deal from the respondent. I highly suggest using another mediator if at all possible.

Poor representation never worked in a timely manner always had to follow up constantly making sure things were getting done! This law office is one that you don’t want to go with! Here’s my explanation on child support and arrears owed after having proof of payments on a joint bank accountRetained early April 2nd week3weeks after we retained hasten we were promised a letter to the AG asking them to hold any enforcements while we gather evidence and documentation. We received several letters from the child support office of when we needed to respond also arrears were sent to my husbands credit report, we finally get the office Corey Miller to anwser us and give us a time line of what we needed to do when it should have been done the week we retained them to avoid any issues. Instead she gave us more of a headache and caused us more stress in this mess. We dropped five grand and signed a contract to get no where. While we did our part they failed numerous times do their part. Instead of helping us they actually wasted our time and money. The day we decided to withdraw that’s when she decides to explain herself rudely that it’s not their problem! This is a lawyer you do not want to waste your time on read all the reviews before you retain thisoffice!!!!No we are not dishonest people Alicia D! We are Christians and unfortunately be fore you start making any assumptions on what you think you know or understand is the delay and misleading information they were giving us! My husband is an upfront honest loving father whom has an ex wife that is be dishonest about form of payment she agreed upon! Frank Vendt is amazing upfront attorney and has taken every step to get things taken care of! Hasten firm just wasted our time and money so we’re not happy with nothing getting done. Our case never got completed so it has nothing to do with be dishonest or not liking that we didn’t get what we wanted it just didn’t go anywhere yet. So we took matters into our own hands and went elsewhere.

In my opinion, hiring this law firm was a very poor choice for representation, and a complete waste of money. The flags began to raise when I found inaccurate billing on my invoice. If getting charged at a rate of $300 per hour for a case that wasn’t mine doesn’t seem bad enough, it only got worse. Meeting after meeting, I would see little to no progress with my case. The typical response was that they couldn’t reach the opposing counsel. It quickly became evident that there was absolutely no strategy or written plan of action to follow, and when I asked for some definitive next steps because I felt things were in limbo, no meaningful response. The invoices, however, were like clockwork. My opinion was that this was more about the money, and less about getting the case to closure. Do yourself a considerable favor and think twice if you are evaluating this firm for representation.
