Rude. Quick to try and make you sign off on what you know is not right for your child. Do not recommend.

First, I drove three hours for mediation. When I arrived, there was a note on the door that she was not there. Ok. I go back to sit in the car and wait. About 30 minutes later, I see her unlock the door. I enter the premises. She shuffles me in to a room and explains that she usually doesn’t do this with clients who don’t have lawyers, I explain well I had a lawyer until I transferred this case from Travis to Harris counties and my attorney wouldn’t travel for the case which he told me only AFTER I paid him to take the case and transfer it to another county.I am thinking ‘not a good sign’ but I’ve been to court like 10 times for this case already, this is what this woman does for a living, how bad can it be ??Worse than imagined.The short of it. She didn’t listen to not one word I said. She couldn’t get finished quick enough and had the other person I was in mediation with email me a chopped up version of our court papers from another person‘s email who was in no way, shape or form associated with my case.Completely unprofessional. Zero got resolved and she could have cared less. Before I could even leave the premises to get on to my car to drive the 3 hours back home, I found her in the kitchen doing the dishes. The dishes ??!? The dishes were more important than my mediation session or my child.I do not recommend.

Just had mediation with Jane. She’s good people. She’s definitely a straightforward kind of woman. Don’t listen to these other reviews, Jane doesn’t form an opinion of anyone, she comes in clear minded and asks both parties what the situation is and what they both want and she actually helps them find a middle ground. I definitely recommend Jane Joseph to anyone needing a mediator!!

I have used Jane for years in many (20-30 or more) mediations. She got 95% of the matters settled, saving my clients money and the rancor and risks of a trial. Of course, there will always be some parties who dont like what she has to say about the merits of a case. I and my clients have sometimes been in that place. But, she is right most of the time and her viewpoint has repeatedly helped my clients and me make better valuations of our case. Shes one of the best mediators out there and my top choice for my clients in terms of value and service provided.

Horrible and unprofessional. If your attorney chooses this for mediation, you better run!3 mediations going on at one time?? How can you fully focus on the needs of the children when your helping the non custodian parent who don’t even have an attorney present. She will put you to the ultimate test by using your children over money. Do not sign anything. Get up and walk out. My own attorney made my family sign a reduction of 1k a month just because it was so late about 9 pm. Or I would have the father have over night visits which my baby can’t have because of heart conditions. Nothing read to me about once signed, mediation can’t be revoked. Which is why I no longer have that attorney. In process of having this taken care of but would hate for anyone else to waste their money and time in this horrible place. If I could give 0 stars I would!

This is my first and hopefully only mediation experience but I could not recommend her more highly. Handled our highly contentious case and worked a miracle. My ex entered the building insisting he would agree to nothing and we would go to trial, and left having agreed to all of our common sense compromises. We now have a custody decree that makes sense.If your custody dispute feels like an out of control ship in a storm, Jane Joseph is the captain you need in this process. She’s calm, honest, and experienced.

Very rude she’s cheap for a reason recommend no attorney to use her.shes unprofessional how you trying to help the non custodial parent who don’t know his son. She never let me talk she came in the room with a attitude. Didnt enjoy her attitude from the very beginning. She formulated an opinion and became one sided before we ever sat down. She overtalked me throughout the painfully long 2 hour ordeal. At one point we wondered if she was getting a kickback from my ex. We used her for a child custody mediation and would definitely NOT recommend her unless you want to give away your parental rights to your ex.

Waste of time & money. Your lawyer may con you in to using HER but RUN!! She is much like talking to an angry brick wall!! She is so nasty and unprofessional even her employees looked embarrassed. Spent hours paying for mediation while she did little to communicate with either party but this ancient woman did flirt with my balding middle aged lawyer the entire time. Get a room this isnt what I paid for!

I have been a family law attorney for over 30 years. Jane Joseph is one of the top mediators in town. She is very professional. I use her services often as she has the experience and insight to get the parties to come together to solve problems. She comes up with ideas on solving problems that can only come with years of experience. Her experience saves clients time and money. Jane has completed thousands of mediations. She is highly respected in the family law community. As I review Janes reviews, I get very frustrated when I see reviews such as Kim Clewis. Ms. Clewis had an attorney and apparently had to make some tough choices but to blame it on the mediator is not fair. It is made clear in the verbal instructions and written agreement to mediate that each party signs that each party does not have to agree to anything at the mediation. Sometimes the facts and the law do not go along with what a client wants. If the client does not want to arrive at an agreement they can go to trial, which is very costly. I highly recommend Jane Joseph as a family law mediator.
