They are the worst! I was to receive a call 30 minutes before coming to my home. They just showed up and told him Im 15 minutes away and he said too bad and left. I said hold up please, I need that bed and I cant wait for Monday, my mother needs it and he said call the office. I continue to call him to please dont leave and he ignored me and kept walking. My mother do not have long to live and I was trying to make her last days comfortable.
If you want the worst delivery experience, hire this people. Office will tell you they will call 45min ahead of drop off, and will give you a delivery window from 11am to 4pm, but they get there and they don’t call you before, and if you are 10 min away, they won’t wait for you. Then everyone will be rude to you, starting with Erick, which is suppose to be some kind of manager, he tells you they are not suppose to call anyone before delivery, although his office told me they would. My question is, in a building, am I suppose to stand outside from 11am to 4pm until a truck shows up? Because Erick said they are not even suppose to go nock on my door, right before telling me he was going to call the driver so he would take off and not deliver my stuff. Great service, I would recommended it to anyone that wants to have an awful shipping experience
After nearly a two month wait for a specialty part to be built for one of my project cars it was shipped out using R+L Carriers. After taking the time to personally meet with the driver of the delivery truck at his chosen location I was shocked to see the condition of the merchandise.Not only were there parts missing but this was supposed to be boxed up. It wasnt even on the same pallet the company shipped it on and as a result this has only delayed my project longer.Noticeable damage to the housing and other hard to find parts due to someones neglect and misuse of heavy equipment.
If i could put ZERO stars i would. The Customer service is absolute trash. they treat you like garbage and Get angry with simple questions. Called for a simple ETA on a truck. couldnt help me.
First my appointment was between 9am-1pm and no one showed up. I call dispatch at 1:15 to see where the driver was and they told me he would be there after 6pm. I missed work waiting on them and they don’t show up or even call and say anything. The customer service representative acted as if she really didn’t care and that there was nothing she could do because she isn’t the one who made the route. I called them at 5:20 to see if they could give me a status update and asked if the driver could give me a call when he was 30 minutes because they would be delivering to a storage unit and I would need to meet them there. Well he showed up and didn’t call first and when I told him I would be there in 30 minutes he said that he couldn’t wait and that I would have to schedule a new delivery. After making me wait all day they couldn’t wait 30 minutes!!!! Have been trying to get a hold of a manager for a while and they are never available. If I had my way I would never use this company again. If I could give them no stars I would.
Worst service ever. Waited and waited no delivery for a whole week. When you call to speak to someone in charge they say he’s gone with a family emergency, how convenient. When call they say tomorrow it’s going on two weeks. How they stay open is beyond me. Google needs to have negative stars.
Two important shipments were supposed to be picked up by 5pm.Told the dispatch that I would stay and have warehouse staff stay until 6:30.No Call/No show. No one could tell me anything.Next day supposed to be here by 3pm. Its now 5pm and still no truck. Dispatch apparently doesnt like to speak with woman. Very dismissive and rude. We are an Import/Export Company. Moving freight all of the time. Thought that I would give this company a chance since the Sales person for our area has come in 4 times trying to get our business. Delivery date 5/25/21, - Starting off with yes, already submitted all delivery info, freight info, tracking info on the RL cares website link provided in all the other canned responses to everyones complaints.Will never again order anything from a company that uses this delivery service.1st issue - Driving was supposed to call 30min (at least) before coming. We got 5 min notice and then had to cancel another important appt to rush to be at the delivery location. The driver response was well, I was close by for another delivery. He could not wait even thou it was his fault for not calling2nd issue - 5 items supposed to be delivered, only 4 showed up. Was supposed to recieve call back on when it would be delivered. 8 days later and still no call3rd issue - when calling (6/2/21) customer service for info, 3 diff times the agent said let me find out info for you, of which we then go on hold so long (27+min) that their system just hangs up. This happened 3 times. So no way to get a status of the order.
If I could give a negative star I would the problem with this company is they are so disorganised they cant understand what package goes where and how to organise their packages all into one shipment I get a call saying I got a package said OK schedule the delivery then finally on that delivery date I get a call about 2 hours late from a guy named Robert saying I cant drive into your neighbourhood never had this issue before with any other 18 Wheeler coming into my neighbourhood and yet he persists that he cannot deliver. Needless to say had to reschedule and then that took another week before I even had a scheduled date. After finally getting the date down I received package number one from a different driver. This was on April 2nd Then after several calls back-and-forth saying Hey wheres my 2nd package they finally find it and schedule. Then yet again Robert guy is trying to deliver and says the same thing I cant drop it off this was on April 26th almost a month later I said I cant put it in the back of my Van I paid for shipping drop it off at my house I called to complaine and they put on the file that I started they cannot deliver in my neighbourhood I said no such thing. She was supposed to call back never did I call after 4 days to tell them they need to deliver it no if ands or buts Yet now here we are over a month later and my package just mysteriously disappeared where did it go they said we dont have anything else for you you already signed for everything that shows received yet I have nothing here on the 2nd package and whenever I asked about the 26th they say no there wasnt nothing so your telling me you try to drop off nothing to my house where did the Box go that you were trying to drop off on the 26th Yet still incompetent and cant understand the basics of why would they be out here on the 26th if there was nothing to deliver Needless to say this company is a sad sad thing in need of some better management and organisation I wouldnt recommend anybody ever using them if they want their package on time and an orderly fashion especially if they have multiples.
Abysmal customer service and literally no reliability. I have been trying to return a vanity that didnt work for a client for over a MONTH and they have either shown up randomly with no phone call when the client wasnt home, or just flat out not shown up (this has happened twice now) This makes me never want to order from companies that use them for freight pickup EVER AGAIN.
If I could give negative stars, I would. This is going to be the 4th day straight missing my pickup. I dont know how they are still in business with such horrible service! Every rep just keeps transferring me over and over again when I call. This is a very very bad freight company, they need to get their stuff together. The most unreliable out there. Just had driver deliver chemical an on way to my equiptment room he ran in extension of my building damaged the paint scrap the pallet for good 5 ft. Not happy!
I am an individual who order a small engine and the company I ordered from uses R&L Carriers, which uses 18 wheelers as delivery vehicles. My community does not allow 18 wheelers to enter. When I scheduled the delivery I set it up for the driver to call when he was close and I met him at a truck stop close to my home. The delivery went without any problems and the driver was friendly, helpful, and very professional. I would highly recommend R&L Carriers they mad something that could have been problematic simple.
I dont typically write reviews, but felt I had to after this most recent experience. Ive had several items shipped through R+L Carriers over the last few months and Id estimate ONLY 2 of 6 appointments went as scheduled. On my recent shipment, I agreed to a delivery time between 9am-5pm CST on 11/17/20. After taking off, rearranging and rescheduling after school activities, I received a call at 12:22pm CST on 11/17/20 from a Rep saying she needed to schedule an appointment. After explaining I was expecting them by 5pm and had spoken to someone already, the evening before, she could only say, sometimes the night shift forget to communicate. Speechless, angry and helpless, I was immediately reminded of all the prior bad experiences surrounding scheduling; and how my time is NOT valued and theres NO accountability nor inclination for them to make it right for the customer. Just know you will be at R+L Carriers mercy if you want your merchandise because they are inconsistent at best.
Horrible driver. Truck #0E2680 Almost ran me off the road. I was driving, and they decided to get over. Didn’t pay any mind to the fact that there was not room for them. I honked at them. It looked like they followed me on my exit, and then they made it a point to honk at me. If I could give no stars, I would. That’s clear rudeness and petty childishness. I recommend you get this driver rudimentary training. It’s not my job to yield to the big rig that cannot follow the rules of the road. I will NEVER recommend this company if this is how the drivers act.

These guys had me sit at home all day waiting on a freight delivery that was supposed to be from 11-4. Despite their tracking online showing it was at the dock ALL DAY and calling them to inquire, they waited until I called them at 5 pm to tell me it wasn’t actually going to be delivered. Don’t plan on having your time valued or respected or even have the truth told when you ask questions.

Worst experience with any business in almost 50 years of walking planet earth. We have been using them for over a year, and they have messed up our deliveries multiple times. Each time, they have scheduled a day to deliver, we take time away from our business for the delivery, and they cancel at the end of the day. Not to mention, they are full of excuses every single time, and dont take ANY ownership for the failures. We will never use them again.

I have wasted 2 days now for a delivery. They called Friday to inform me that they wouldnt be able to deliver until Saturday. No problem, we rescheduled for Saturday. After waiting all day with no phone call I decided to call the 1800 number. Spoke to someone who said it wasnt going to be delivered today and somebody should have reached out to me. They said there wasnt anything they can do and said I should call back Monday from the local division. Very unprofessional and honestly I am very nervous after reading the other reviews how my safe will be delivered. I will inspect this very carefully. Any issues I will send it back and refuse delivery. Your company needs to acknowledge the low rating you have from many customers. Im surprised yall are still around.

I ordered of skid of product that required liftgate service. The Houston scheduling team phoned me 3 days in advance to confirm that the shipment was on its way and to schedule a convenient time for me to accept delivery. The delivery arrived during the scheduled window. The driver was very professional and courteous and placed the skid as requested. The freight arrived in good condition with no damage. I dont like to leave bad review. We have two deliveries from this company. The company missed the delivery time frame and we had to leave the area. We suggested a re-delivery and the staff Dave insists a redeliver fee! Do I need to charge you for waiting fee? Please get your service standard right! You missed the delivery date youre going to have to work on a day thats work for everyone. Service like this is unacceptable!*Delivery man Anthony Davis was very professional and very helpful. Described what happened. He handled the frustrated customer very well. I only hope the company will have more staff like Mr. Anthony Davis. I only hoped R&L will have more driver like him. He bumped from 1 star to a 4 star.
I have received 2 deliveries from them and my items are always in good shape. Great customer service! I like that they call you to give you a day and time frame of when to expect it. Truck driver was super friendly!
We were first given the incorrect tracking. This meant the customer service agent had to backtrack via our address to find the information at all or else need to contact the terminal. We had a 2/21/18 pick-up, and the truck was gone from here by 2PM. But for some reason? The item did not reach terminal until 2/23/18. Mind you, THAT was meant to be the DELIVERY date in which the customer received the delivery! In between no one contacted either us, or the receiving customer, to let us know of any sort of delay.We were advertised 2-day shipping. We were not told they only deliver Mon-Fri. We were all around provided incorrect information. Just not a good experience, while not being the worst either. Customer Service is polite and aware.We will be using other freight carriers from now on.

My experience with these guys was excellent. I ordered a bed cover from Amazon and they called me up to schedule my delivery and offered me next day (Thursday), Friday, or Saturday with three hour windows. I chose Saturday and they showed up a little early so I didn’t have to wait around all day. The driver was extremely friendly and pleasant. I couldn’t have asked for more.
Of all the cheap, poorly-run carriers out there, this is the worst Ive come across. If youre familiar with the quality level in the cheap, poorly-run carrier industry, then you know thats really saying something profound. Everyone there must be high and dumb. Worst run *anything* I have ever come across.
Absolutely the worst delivery service I have experienced. I had multiple phone calls to schedule the delivery of a crate engine from Jegs and every time they got the details wrong, spent several minutes trying to find the order because they failed to correct the information from the previous request and then didnt get it right the next time either. The phone center is ignorant and begins every phone call with an attitude as if this was the most inconvenient thing they had to bother themselves with. If you have another option at all take it.

They were supposed to deliver my cabinets on Wednesday. Late Wednesday they left me a message. Too late for me to call them back. I called Thursday and rescheduled for Friday. Friday the guy came, knocked on the door then turned around and left. I called again, they said he didnt have the freight on his truck but had the paper work and he scanned it as delivered. She had to produce another bill but they would be out Monday. I will give you 3 guesses who did not show up and did not call. Im calling the cabinet company tomorrow.

Just had a package delivered and the driver was rude on the phone and unprofessional once he arrived. Called in to inform them of the drivers behavior, and got similar attitude from each person I spoke with as I moved to his supervisor... not that I truly believe it was his supervisor. When You have a choice of carriers, avoid them at all cost. I move about $250K a year in freight. After this personal experience... they won’t get my direct business.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. My client scheduled a pick-up for Friday and it was never picked-up. We then called Monday morning and they said theyd come and pick it up by the EOD of Monday. It is now Tuesday and my client is irate because they STILL have NOT picked-up.I call them, and was hung up on by dispatch THREE times before finally calling again and demanding the receptionist transfer me to a manager. This manager seemed to not care AT ALL.Horrible, HORRIBLE customer service. Good luck!** Id like to add that typically our assigned driver is very sweet. But, it seems the office side really needs to get organized and professional!
Horrible, Terrible Terrible Company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please do not do business with them. Truck came to deliver pallet the day expected. Spent 1 hour in parking lot, then quickly left saying the merchandise was not on the truck. 10 days later after I called shipper twice. The driver came the pallet had been covered with card board and re-wrapped. Almost every piece of glass was broken and they say they did not do it.
There was a problem with address when I was called about delivery. I gave the customer representative the correct address for a Monday delivery. On Monday my pallet was left in the driveway at a house, the first address which I was assured was corrected. Not my business address a couple miles away. The next day I was told they would not correct there mistake without a new bill of lading. So they want me to pay for there mistake.When they called me to tell me this, I was also hung up on before I could respond. In addition when I tried to call them back, they would answer the phone then put me on hold till I got tired.I accept mistakes are made but they should be corrected. I have told my shipper I will refuse any orders they ship by R&L Carriers.
Not great at answering the phone, even worse at delivering on time. It wouldnt be as bad if they missed a delivery time by a bit, but they miss a FOUR HOUR delivery window.After missing that window, of course, you just get another delivery window...They dont seem too worried about wasting your whole day.
I ordered furniture online which was delivered by this company on a Saturday. The driver was great, but some of the items arrived damaged. This was fine because I was able to get a replacement sent out. When the replacement was ready to be delivered, the carrier would not deliver the items on a Saturday. This was an inconvenience for me because now I am forced to take off work because the company damaged my initial delivery. The manager did not seem to care that it was their fault and said that if I needed Saturday delivery it would cost extra. It did not cost extra the first time my items were delivered! We will see how the next delivery goes, but two stars because the first driver that showed up was awesome.

Got a text to call them to schedule delivery. First phone call got placed on hold for over an hour...... Glad I called the number again from a 2nd phone. The call was picked up in 4 rings and delivery was scheduled in under 30 secs..... Service over the phone (when answered) was excellent. Now, lets see if their delivery is on time!!

Do they screen their drivers? Do they all have valid CDLs? One of their drivers almost caused me to crash into him because he drives a big rig like a compact car! He swerved over into my lane while braking and I’m going 45 mph with no one else in front of me. The best part: NO BLINKER! What an idiot! I have the license plate (TN) and I will report him.
Been using them for several years. Drivers are great with their delivery. We only use them sometimes because they always get our address wrong despite the address on the BOL is correct. They seem to consistently have the exact wrong address every time. We have to call in to their office every time we use them to correct the address so the driver does not get lost. Its hard enough to drive the truck and having the incorrect address make things even harder for the driver. For some reason R & L just cant seem to input our address correctly so we only can give them a portion of our business.
Was very impressed by the shipping. Ordered a pool for our sons birthday on Thursday july 25th, amazon said it was expected to be delivered july 31st - August 8th, it was in my driveway july 29th. Driver was courteous and places it where I asked. Package arrived without a scuff and even a bent corner.
Its amazing. You drop off a crate on Monday and magically it appears 1000 miles away a few days later. Magic!!!

I had one scheduled for Tuesday instead they come Monday while Im not home and call me until the next day to schedule for a delivery on wednesday it arrived even after placing the order 3 weeks BEFOREHAND just takes them an extra week I guess cause they are LAZY. Unreliable and rude customer service I hope I will never encounter such inconvenience again. Absolutely horrid.
If you have the option to choose your carrier, do not choose this one. Two days in a row the delivery did not show up in the 8-hour time slot that was provided. When I call to ask the status, I am tossed around from person to person and then when I finally speak with someone, I am told that the delivery guy is a contract worker and does not speak English and that I will get my delivery when I get it. I was then hung up on. Not sure how they are in business. I will make sure I do not order from anyone that utilizes their services.

Have had the misfortune of having to deal with them multiple times. Despite the fact that I tell them every time they call NOT to put my freight on an 18 wheeler because my road is a dirt road and my driveway is narrow and gravel, they still put it on a 18 wheeler and send it anyway. The driver, the same both times, has been rude. He left my $2000 reclaimed wood in the ditch on the pallet. The next time he complained about having to come out again and back his truck up. They attempting to deliver again, I told them once again NOT to put the freight on an 18 wheeler. They said they simply cant do that, even though they have bob tail trucks they can easily put it on.
Just spoke with the most rude dispatcher over rescheduling a pickup, if not for it being a company account I would definitely be taking my business elsewhere. Teach your people manners and people skills as they are definitely lacking in both areas.
The jobs great but they do not treat all drivers as equals when we all do the samething and work just as hard as the next guy. To be honest i would stay here for ever if they would change that but dont think that gonna happen so probably not.
I have had to deal with this company twice recently and pray I never have to deal with them in the future. They give me a time slot of 10 AM - 4PM for delivery. The 3rd time of calling to get updates at 530 PM, dispatch is informed the package is not on the truck it is supposed to be on and had to schedule another entire day for delivery. Extremely frustrating. ON top of that customer service is horrible and all the people I have spoken with are very unfriendly.
First off I bought a transmission from Jegs...payed the $119 for shipping and was told they handle all delivery details.Jeg said that R+L carriers would deliver wed. 11-4 mind you a 5 hr window.My mechanic waited and no transmission so I call and they say because of rain it would be delivered Thursday 11-4 so my mechanic misses out on a decent amount job to wait for the delivery...4:30 he calls and says no transmission.So I call RL carriers and asked whats the hold up now and explained that my mechanic is losing money waiting on this delivery. They tell me hes an hour away but cant reach him because his cell is going straight to voicemail and his GPS doesnt work. Long story short it is now 7:30 and still no transmission finally got a hold of the driver and is saying around 8:30 wow 11-4 right!! This service is horrible no response from driver and payed good money for a simple on time delivery that wasnt made!!!!
Ran across a bad driver on hw 315 N in Texas north of Nacogdoches didnt get the truck number but he rolled behind me ten feet away from the rear of my trailer with his high beams on for like 10 miles it happen on 8-20-19 @ 140am that morning so please talk to your driver he blind me could have been an accident,and I been out here 15yrs.....

Received text to call and schedule delivery of a lift chair I purchased from Goedekers. Scheduled for Saturday between 10am and 2pm. I made sure I had someone here to help me since I am disabeled. They never showed up or called and of course with it being a Saturday their office was closed. It will now be much more difficult for me to get help during the week when everyone works. I will be contacting Goedekers to advise them to NOT use this carrier going forward. I wonder how long they will make me wait to receive my item? Based on some of the other reviews I see on here Im not too optimistic. I sure hope their customer service has improved recently. I will update this review once I receive my chair !!!
R+L Carriers showed a receipt online that said FIRST STOP (1) and “out for delivery” at 9:13am.I’ve called at 11:52a, 2:21p and 5:12p attempting to track my delivery.. each time with the response;11:52a: “we spoke with your local terminal and you’re the next delivery.”2:21p: “our system shows it was delivered at 12:12p today.”5:12p: “your driver had the bill but not the freight?”Me: Ma’am, I’ve been waiting since 9a for a truck with my delivery? Am I getting it today.”“No, we cannot locate your delivery.”..I’m speechless, you decide.
Very bad service and customer service.. I order something on line I pay 2 day delivery.. its taking them a week and a half.. to deliver. One day I talk to one person the next day Nobody knows anything...
I have dealt with this company now 2 times in the last month and both times I did not receive my packages on time. The first time they lost my package for over 2 weeks. Now this round its not on time again. Both times I see the updates saying it will be here on a Friday and then both times when I call they say that it will be a day later than the tracking status says. It will show in route to San Antonio and then it should be delivered the same day. However, they say it should actually be a day later that it still has to come to houston and then goes out the next day. This estimating needs to be fixed.

Each time i called to schedule a delivery i got transferred 4 times. with my original delivery schedule i made it clear i would not be available-i was on the road withot cell phone service-so i informed them to deliver to the address and call a different number. She agreed and annotated the number. Next day my phone buzzes in some podunk town with service. Long story short they did not communicate instructions and never showed up when i did not answer.....so i had to call again....When my relatives got ahold of them to schedule for me the dispatcher was rude, unhelpful and even tried to charge us again to redeliver. They used an entire 18 wheeler to deliver a damaged box containing a plastic bumper for a compact car. would rate 0 if possible. Will not be using this service again
I own a business opened from 8 to 5. I was given a delivery window from 11-4, that works fine. The driver showed up with liftgate service after 6 pm The driver was not happy and all employees had gone home. I opened the gate where we have 2 freightliner and a Box truck. The driver stated he was going to put the pallet in the street. I advised him to put it inside the gate so I could secure it. I told him that my forklift operator will get it in the morning when we opened. He refused and said this was curbside service and no more. I told him I couldn’t do that bc it cannot be locked up in the street. He pushed it onto the liftgate with his pallet jack and reloaded it saying, “We will just charge you again for redelivery!”Shortly afterwards the dispatcher called and asked me if I was refusing the freight. I told him this story. The driver was in his truck on the phone the entire time. The dispatcher called back and said the 325 lb driver was in fear and refuses to unload the freight. He claimed he was threatened by a 165 lb man and was too scared to do it. I explained that we have 4 cameras two with microphones for gate access that have the entire event recorded. I would have no objections to providing this to show the driver just had a bad day and was being rude and condescending toward me. With nothing threatening from either. He told me they we would reschedule for tomorrow during business hours. I told him I hope his day was better than the drivers. He said he definitely was. I also told him the drivers clip board and pen were here and I would instruct the employees to give it to whomever delivered the pallet. So now we wait for the next saga in this unfortunate event.

I wish i could make this a 10 BLACK star negative post!! I am furious with your company!!! I was called 2 1/2 days ago to tell me my Generator was there on the docks and to give you guys my tracking number to schedule a time and date for delivery. I did give it and was told that on July 26 2016 ir would be delivered from 11-4 pm. NO DELIVERY!!! I called the hub you have in Houston, Texas and it seems i spoke with a LOAD of MORONS!!! They kept transferring me and no one knew what to say or where my delivery was. I get someone to finally look it up and to tell me something and what i got was Sir, it looks like me dont have it? WHAT THE HELL kind of company are you running!! Why would you call me and tell me that you have it and can get it to me and then led me to believe that its on its way and get my electricians out here to disconnect my house and get it ready and when the time comes for my expected deadline for the delivery i call and was told YOU DONT HAVE IT!!!! Who is going to pay for my day off from work and the cost of the electricians and also the cost for my reconnect from NRG???? Then your customer service tells me that I need to call the seller and complain to them!!! It is NOT their fault you all screwed the pooch!! If i do not have MY generator at my residence by 10 am tomorrow morning with an apology letter AND a total refund of the shipping fees with it then i will file THEFT charges against the company because it sure looks like you guys needed my generator more than i did!
This is not a good company . They lost my shipment 📦 in the first week . The dispatcher lied and said that it was on the truck called the driver and it was not even in there warehouse !! 😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬I need to not only file a complaint but also a lawsuit . My order is very important
Horrible experience. I received my item damaged. Filed a claim for reimbursement and they would not. I had pictures pre-shipment and post proving the way it left and arrived. The damage was obviously in transit but they denied all responsibility.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Absolutely awful. My shipment was misrouted to Houston and then misrouted AGAIN to Lubbock. More than a week after delivery was supposed to be received, they think the items are in Lubbock. How do you lose 1/2 ton of wood trim?

I lost a day of work when they gave me an 11AM to 4PM delivery window. The driver showed up at 5:30PM with the wrong item. They asked me to miss another day of work to deliver the item the following day. I had them return the merchandise to the shipper. The worst!
Still waiting for this company. They give a 5 hour window, and the only time they either did not show up or were late was the day they showed up 4 hours before the window. If there was 0 start rating, they really earned it! I doubt they will even show up today.

Tried to call for a check on a shipment. Listen to every sales pitch imaginable about everything but trucking and deliveries. A terrible experience. One star because a lesser rating was not available.
They did not deliver to my house like they were supposed to. I had to pick up my merchandise at their dock
Driver left pallet on driveway of dock and took off when told he needed to unload the pallet and place 3 items on the dock. Company not very helpful when calling to inform them of this unprofessional conduct. Glad I didnt have to pay for that poor service. Looks like others were not so satisfied either.
